"It appears you and I are linked,"

That's really weird, the only thing she was connected to last time was Corvella's massive frozen body. And she had never seen any red threads going toward Yugam in the past, though the implication of them being bonded made her blush a bit. "I noticed," she inspected the thread connections, from the bracelet to her chest.

"You said you wanted it as 'out of the way' as possible and so I delivered."

"Not the way I imagined it."
Sighing, but at least she didn't exactly die. What was the whole point of doing the 'I'm going to kill you' type of thing though?

"With a bonus. In the place of flesh and blood, I inserted the Amethyst. You draw you life source from that now."

Wait, was this why she could suddenly feel the life forces around them suddenly? And she was currently powered by the ten thousand years worth of lifespan? The songstress would have never imagined having a magical artifact implanted in her own body, let alone being fueled with the strength of thousands of spirits. Inspecting the palm menu showed that she now has Spirit Magic in place of her locked Arcanamancy.

"As long as your heart isn't stopped, you'll live no matter how grave the injury. Or at least, that's the working theory."

"Do you realize,"
She paused, still trying to make sense of this, "That you just made me, potentially, the most powerful Starfallen in the whole Arcia?" Her eyes were still unmoving, gazing at the status window of her UI; it showed every status value enhanced to the maximum level, setting her at the level of rulers and kings. "You've created a monster," Moonsong closed her UI, sighing while walking around the room indecisively. "Yet, that's what I wanted to be. It's necessary."

"So, then. What's your angle?" The other end of the deal, she thought. "You know I owe a lot to you for this." The blue-haired girl stood in front of him, this time her turn to gaze at his eyes.

"Do you realize you just made me, potentially, the most powerful Starfallen in the whole Arcia?"
"Indeed I do,"
the man said, standing up from the chair.
"You've created a monster," she began to pace the room, a nervous jitter running through her body as her mind wrestled with her newfound potential. "Yet, that's what I wanted to be. It's necessary."
"I suppose that makes me Doctor Frankenstein."
The man's eyes followed her closely as he spoke, measuring her each and every movement, evaluating her, determining if she was not worthy, but rather, capable. And more importantly, attempting to predict if she'd hold up her end of the bargain.

"So, then. What's your angle? You know I owe a lot to you for this."
"Don't thank me yet,"
the man replied. "Let me remind you, it is still entirely possible for you to die." The Puppet Maker gently tapped the lid of the jar containing the monster's heart, the soft cork softly thudding with his every touch. "But, I know just where to hide this. Some place only I can find." Though his words were measured softly, hinting at this being a favor, his eyes warned instead that he had the power to kill her if she stepped out of line. "As for what you owe me, I already told you. Once you've amassed some more life-energy, I will use it for my own purposes. I'll leave you with more than enough to continue doing whatever it is that you want to do. As to what that purpose is, that's not for you to know. But rest assured, my cause is good, if miniscule in comparison to your own goals."

"But, I know just where to hide this. Some place only I can find."

Gazing back at his eyes, it was apparent that this was a threat, even though she had ensured that her end goal was an unselfish one. Moonsong sighed, "Fine," walking across the room to grab her robe.

"As to what that purpose is, that's not for you to know. But rest assured, my cause is good, if miniscule in comparison to your own goals."

Ok, now he's playing secrets with her. That's not fair, especially after the threat. "You say that, while literally holding my life in a jar." She did say that she will trust the man no matter what, so at the moment the songstress just has to deal with it.

"Oh, right." While preparing to clean things up, Moonsong was suddenly reminded of something. Her cheeks suddenly turn red before she asked the question. "I did clinically die for a while, right? Is the baby okay?"
Her hands motioned to her belly while asking about this nonexistent baby.

Yugam's only reaction was a face of massive disappointment before he slowly grabbed the jar with both of his hands. "Ok, time to break the jar open I guess."

"Hey, wait! That was a genuine question!"
She leaped onto him in panic, trying to stop the man from smashing the jar containing her beating heart.

"Anyway, from now on, when in public..."

The woman wore her hood up.
