"It appears you and I are linked,"
That's really weird, the only thing she was connected to last time was Corvella's massive frozen body. And she had never seen any red threads going toward Yugam in the past, though the implication of them being bonded made her blush a bit. "I noticed," she inspected the thread connections, from the bracelet to her chest.
"You said you wanted it as 'out of the way' as possible and so I delivered."
"Not the way I imagined it." Sighing, but at least she didn't exactly die. What was the whole point of doing the 'I'm going to kill you' type of thing though?
"With a bonus. In the place of flesh and blood, I inserted the Amethyst. You draw you life source from that now."
Wait, was this why she could suddenly feel the life forces around them suddenly? And she was currently powered by the ten thousand years worth of lifespan? The songstress would have never imagined having a magical artifact implanted in her own body, let alone being fueled with the strength of thousands of spirits. Inspecting the palm menu showed that she now has Spirit Magic in place of her locked Arcanamancy.
"As long as your heart isn't stopped, you'll live no matter how grave the injury. Or at least, that's the working theory."
"Do you realize," She paused, still trying to make sense of this, "That you just made me, potentially, the most powerful Starfallen in the whole Arcia?" Her eyes were still unmoving, gazing at the status window of her UI; it showed every status value enhanced to the maximum level, setting her at the level of rulers and kings. "You've created a monster," Moonsong closed her UI, sighing while walking around the room indecisively. "Yet, that's what I wanted to be. It's necessary."
"So, then. What's your angle?" The other end of the deal, she thought. "You know I owe a lot to you for this." The blue-haired girl stood in front of him, this time her turn to gaze at his eyes.
