As Glamdark explained how the roulette worked, Harper started to get how the game worked. The higher they rolled, the harder they would be hit back. If one was to go all out, they would maybe be able to start an early lead but might end up burning themselves out by the latter rounds. Might. In the case of people like @Hanno Futaba , who had hp to spare, going ham from the start was very much an acceptable strategy. Harper herself was on the lower end of the group, so care was needed to keep herself on the game.
"Taking risks sure is easier when you have more leeway than most here. I'd probably see myself out very soon if I try to just keep up with your pace." She'd comment as Hanno finished her roll, before grabbing a single dice of her own, fidgeting it between her fingers. "As I said before, slow and steady wins it." She'd eventually close her hand in a sideways fist, the dice resting on her thumb. "Though..." She'd flick her thumb, the orange-and-black dice soaring upwards towards the ceiling as it spun, before it would start its descent towards the table.
It would bounce once, twice... Before it could bounce a third time, Harper's open palm would come crashing down against it, stopping any momentum dead in its tracks and shaking any drinks which were resting on the table. The hand would rest there for a moment, before the tigress let her hand slide back towards her, revealing the result of the dice... And a light dice-shaped dent on the table. Upon checking the result, the beastkin would fire a smug smirk towards the rest of the table.
"Slow doesn't really fit me, I'm afraid. 106. Not gonna let you get this starting lead that easily, Hanno." Under Hanno's, but not by much. And though his starting roll was a tad bigger than Harper's, his lead wasn't that large, and Harper didn't need to put herself at risk to keep up. An acceptable start. Her roulette was also on the lower side, which made the tigress quite satisfied with her results. Now, she waited for the others to take their chances.
