As Glamdark explained how the roulette worked, Harper started to get how the game worked. The higher they rolled, the harder they would be hit back. If one was to go all out, they would maybe be able to start an early lead but might end up burning themselves out by the latter rounds. Might. In the case of people like @Hanno Futaba , who had hp to spare, going ham from the start was very much an acceptable strategy. Harper herself was on the lower end of the group, so care was needed to keep herself on the game.

"Taking risks sure is easier when you have more leeway than most here. I'd probably see myself out very soon if I try to just keep up with your pace." She'd comment as Hanno finished her roll, before grabbing a single dice of her own, fidgeting it between her fingers. "As I said before, slow and steady wins it." She'd eventually close her hand in a sideways fist, the dice resting on her thumb. "Though..." She'd flick her thumb, the orange-and-black dice soaring upwards towards the ceiling as it spun, before it would start its descent towards the table.

It would bounce once, twice... Before it could bounce a third time, Harper's open palm would come crashing down against it, stopping any momentum dead in its tracks and shaking any drinks which were resting on the table. The hand would rest there for a moment, before the tigress let her hand slide back towards her, revealing the result of the dice... And a light dice-shaped dent on the table. Upon checking the result, the beastkin would fire a smug smirk towards the rest of the table.

"Slow doesn't really fit me, I'm afraid. 106. Not gonna let you get this starting lead that easily, Hanno." Under Hanno's, but not by much. And though his starting roll was a tad bigger than Harper's, his lead wasn't that large, and Harper didn't need to put herself at risk to keep up. An acceptable start. Her roulette was also on the lower side, which made the tigress quite satisfied with her results. Now, she waited for the others to take their chances.

Zelrius followed the introductions around the room. Smiling as @Valmont introduced himself as a new player to the game, someone with a sense of humor. @Chrys being short, curt. Maybe he just wasn't the talkative type. @Luthien whom he had already met before - she was the girl from the Explorer's League. And it seemed, indeed not just some lander. An actual player, like him. He couldn't help but give a friendly laugh at the dark haired man's declarating that he wanted to walk away with their money. That's what gambling was all about right? Finally learning his name after their orbits had intersected so many times. "Fiora?!" He couldn't help but exclaim as the weebed up woman introduced herself. She looked...so different than he remembered. Realizing he had called it out so loud he cleared his throat. "Sorry..." letting the introductions continue.

The familiar introduction of his cooking and cart buddy was soon followed by @Hanno Futaba and his short introduction, manifesting his dice just as the others had. And ending finally by @Harper - who seemed entirely convinced they had already won. The pyromancer could see why, he was so far behind, already. He needed to do something to make a mark. For all his faults, risk was never something that intimidated Zelrius.

He took his die, turning it over in his hand and casting it out onto the table with release of fire. The single hundred-sided seemed to split into 3 that left small simmering spots where they landed. As @Glamdark had just explained, a dark, shadowy d8 followed them, landing face up at 3. The others, a 97, 67, and a natural 1. He grimaced, watching as it spawned another dark die, landing and he heard the ball drop not once, but twice. And his hp dwindled. He was already losing this. He looked to his dice, feeling the way it raised his heart rate, intoning the following exclamation with an oscillating command. "This Failure is unacceptable!" Watching them glow and rest, the faint blue aura showing that his support skills worked even on them.

Again, Chrys quietly listened to more information about the game, this time about the so-called Retaliation Roulette, which worried him, even though he was literally a man made of stone, because retaliation isn't always a good thing. For people not made of stone anyway. But he digresses.

Manifesting once more his pair of dice made of rocks, the same material as that of his Auric Geomancy, he cast them both, unintentionally bathing everyone else with a few grains of sand. What a hindrance. Get it? Anyway, boom! A high roll! Never before had he imagined himself to be quite the lucky man, especially since he rolled a Nat 1 the last time he used his Fate Die. Things are looking up for the rock hard rock man!

Then, and only then, did he remember that bit about the dark die. Chrys focused all his attention at the damned thing at the moment, awaiting his tragic suffering, only for it to, uhh, do nothing. He felt a bit of a discomfort on his seat, on his butt, but that was mostly it. An itch of the skin? Easily ignored. He simply shrugged the feeling off and continued sipping his drink, watching the rest of the players aside from @Zelrius fail to beat his roll. Hehehe.

Hanno as usual played out to his veteran status (in her eyes) and turned out to be one of the beefiest contenders here, with the beefiest of dice too given how luck blessed the Faerin. Yet what caught her attention, cheeky introductions aside, was @Harper and how her demeanour changed so much in comparison to that bolsterous 'I won' attitude of earlier.

"'Slow and steady'. Feeling tough, Kitten? You lettin' that mouth run too loud with nothing to back it up." A grin spread over her lips, taking hold of her drink to take one tasteful sip, perhaps sweeter than usual given how the tigress's luck didn't match with her introductions. Her time was up though, and Zelrius followed next...

Fiora left a hearty chuckle out of her lips, dripping with amusement out of @Zelrius and his failure, the man having identified her long after she did, and finally rolling just as the game demanded it, only to take probably one of the worst hits in TS's gambling history. "Karma wheel really knows ya'." Deadly index finger pointed right back at the redhead. "It's what you get for breaking our table." She added, retribution finally served after so long.

But it all paid back at her for some reason as the quiet rock kid dropped sand over everyone like he came with it on his pockets, forcing her to cover her drink and glance away. "Do that again and I'm making your face go on a date with the floor." She pointed right back at him then down to the ground, an irritated grasp upon her dice almost had her crush them into nothingness if she hadn't let go of them seconds after.

And the numbers fit her luck, and made sand-stained mood change into a triumphant smirk yet again, values high enough to put her at the top of the table so far! "Sorry Luth, I'll hand you over your gold, promise." She gave a look back at @Luthien, half apologetic half smug. Of course nobody else would get that much out of her, given the elf was a first-timer. The rest could eat dust for all she cares. Or more sand, if Chrys keeps showering them on it.

Yu rolled his eyes as soon as Fiora looked at him with those self-satisfied eyes, reaching for his cocktail and taking a sip. "You literally invited Luth and I," the man pointed out to the girl as he set his glass back down and leaned back in his seat, his arms folded across his body.

The game went round some more, Yu recognizing Harper as she stood and introduced herself, chuckling as she showed the same amount of confidence as when she had swooped in helped him, Fiora, Toko and a handful of others fight the Rejucient and Fluffy McFluffykins. He never did properly thank her for that...Maybe he'd have the opportunity after their night of gambling away their fortunes.

Their host interjected as the round came to an end, introducing an entirely new mechanic. The house always won in games like this, for obvious reasons. But, that didn't mean Yu couldn't walk away with a pretty penny at the end of it all.

Others rolled, and before long Yu took his turn, casting a couple die alongside the dark die, deciding to take a gamble and see how it went. No luck. Not a bad roll, but not high enough for Yu's taste. And that dark die..."Oof, not likin' the look of that," the man complained.

Her eyes had quietly strayed to the dice results casted by her friends, a fifty-six and an eighty-six, before turning back to the eight she’d managed to roll. A faint frown pulled at the corners of her mouth, her brows furrowing in thought, before @Harper’s boastful introduction caught the blonde’s attention. Pretty bold of the tigress, though not surprising in the slightest after the elf had witnessed Harper’s competitive nature back in the Imperial Petunia months ago.

The sudden exclamation by Zelrius as Fiora’s name tumbled from his mouth caused Lúthien to look at the redhead before tilting her head slightly to one side, surprised to see that the man knew the taller woman, before taking another sip of her highball. Soon enough the players began to cast their dice, the elf observing as the tallies of others continued to rise even as the health of others began to dip heavily.

It was a good thing she did too, considering the next roll casted sand towards the table where her drink had been resting moments before, a silent glare sent towards @Chrys before @Fiora Di Angelo called out a warning to the man. The woman then casted her dice, the multitude of d20s clattering on the table before an obscene amount of damage was tallied.

"Sorry Luth, I'll hand you over your gold, promise."
"Thanks Fio~"

A soft chuckle left her lips when the rōnin called out to her, a half-hearted smile on her lips, before the blonde turned her attention towards @Yugam as he tested his own luck. Not a bad roll either when it came to damaging their dealer, though the dark die casted certainly seemed out to get Yugam with a vengeance.

"Alright, it’s my turn next~" Her drink was placed back on the table before the girl grabbed a pair of d10s, excitedly casting them before her smile quickly turned to a frown as an 11 tallied up. Huffing she grabbed the pair again, giving them a second toss before groaning at the tallied thirty-six. A little bit of quick math to take into account her bonuses brought her total tally to a measly ninety-two… before the blonde realized that a sizable chunk of her HP was missing too. "Wait, when did… really?!"

Finally she noticed the dark die on the table, the number six clearly visible, before the blonde realized she’d rolled the highest possible retail damage available in the roulette.

As each around the table introduced themselves in turn, their information flickered into his eternally investigative vision. All of them, much higher than his own. All of them experienced players. He chuckled lightly, realizing how out classed he truly was. Well, at least this seemed like a more relaxed venue, rather than some intense battleground.

That line of thought lasted until @Harper rattled the whole table with her enthusiasm. Ooop- His hand snapped out to catch his scotch as it bounced off the edge. Simultaneously a faceted blue cap snapped into reality and covered the top, keeping it from spilling a drop. He barely had time to give a sigh of relief, bringing the cup back into a more secure spot on the table before a scattering of sand bounced off the barrier. Annoyance quickly turned to humor at the coincidental convenience.

Humor turned to worry as @Zelrius rolled his whopping great golf ball of a die. A respectable roll to be sure; that was immediately overshadowed by the chunk of HP the retaliation took. Valmont couldn’t help but stare at the bar, more missing than he had whole. That was when he knew, he fucked up.

When his time came he picked up his D10’s and rattled them in his hand. Casting them out they skittered across the table, now a series of D20’s, and a black D8, in the same faceted fashion of its siblings. One of them landed on a 20 and shattered, splitting into two. ”85… Below average, but I guess one of us has to give the rest of us a chance not to fall on each-others swords next round.” He looked at their hostess, @Glamdark . ”That’s the trick, no? Karma, coming to bite us in the backside, taking back what we’ve given, all profits to our intrepid hostess.” He raised his glass to her, taking a sip.

♠ ♥ ♦ ♣ ALWAYS BET ON DARK : DEALER'S RUNNING COMMENTARY ♠ ♥ ♦ ♣

Current Mood: (◕‿◕✿) "I'm glad I banned Massive Attack. *looks at table...*"

"Now now, at ease friends, what is drank can be easily replaced, and the table, thanks to my banning of the accursed massive attack die----*Glamdark gave one of the table's legs a very light kick which popped out the small dent Harper had made as the sorceress sighed with relief----can be easily righted, the only thing that cannot be so easily restored... are my precious HP points."

Glamdark gave a sly grin which hid her greater worry. "Why has no one gone bust yet?!?!" That fact made her sweat, oh how it made her sweat indeed, and she hid it by sipping her appletini sans sand to quiet her nerves.

"Indeed the game has very nearly arrived at the halfway point. We are in the deep of it now."

Glamdark's sly grin continued as she glanced over at @Valmont as she fielded his question.

"A shrewd man, especially so, for one taking his first steps in this eat or be eaten world. You have the right of it, but I admit I am as troubled as I am in awe of this party's heroics efforts to cling on. Push on friends, climb to greater heights, ask more of me, and be greedy. The night is still young, and the parlor abiding. They say the house always wins, but for my part, my main reward is the show~"

Glancing now at the roulette wheel, Glamdark saw it fill with some rather... interesting... numbers.

"And now, my first question of the night: Terrasphere is a vast world where victory is not so easily defined. And yet, each of you has set out to conquer it in your own way. And so, I ask of you: What does victory mean for you in this world? What defines it? What do you hope to achieve to bring you satisfaction? For me, the answer is quite simple; my magic drives me. There is just oh-so-much dark magic I have yet to try~"

***

How to play:

This game has no turn order, one post per round:

1) Roll your chosen Action in The Dark Parlor Channel. If you are dealing damage, subtract that amount from the dealer's HP.

-Remember to include any bonuses you might have to your roll from passives, bonus actions, and weapons.
-If you are using an action that makes you vulnerable, you will receive double retaliation damage, so be careful.

2) Roll 1d8. The number you land on will correspond to an amount of damage on the Retaliation Roulette chart. Take that damage to your HP. If you are vulnerable, take double damage.

3) Decide if you want to roll a Save. You may roll each of your Save types (fortitude, reflex, will) once per game to reduce incoming damage by the amount you roll.

-Remember to include any bonuses which may add to your save roll from passives, bonus actions, or masteries.

Playtest rules: https://terrarp.com/wiki/Playtest_Packet
All attacks allowed except Massive Attack (burst & steady: more 1s than 20s = critical fail)
Heals and Recuperate (effects doubled)
Revive (works on self, once per game)
Armor Actions (once per game)
Each action has a 1-turn cd. You cannot use the same action back to back.

Hanno pursed his lips when seeing some HPs dropping dangerously low, and the odds stacking even more against the group. Going for his drink, Hanno poured its contents down in a long sip, vaguely listening to everyone speaking while he took his time to figure out what to do next.

His attention turned to @Glamdark's question briefly, one that he has answered many times before.

"Victory to me is making sure this world is safe and fun," Hanno said. "For those who can and those who cannot leave it." He smiled faintly, reaching for the two d10's and tossing them on the table. The choice was far from being a winning one- But any other route wouldn't go down well in his chest.

His faced turned downward in a sour frown, trying his best not to sigh. Fiora easily took the lead ahead of them with her two rolls, leaving his possible heightened mood in the dust with the rest of him. Only able to half hear Valmont's prudent study of the way the game was set up over his own swirling thoughts. He couldn't lose now. Eyes drifting to meet that of Chrys, and then Yugam, and then Glamedark as she spoke. Hanno instantly pulling attention - ... with a tank action? Red eyebrow lifted, as Zelrius crunched his own dice in his hand, breathing in and out again.

He tossed it forward, this time watching it, his hand already moved. In a test of Reflex, he was able to catch the 1d8 black die just as it materialized, allowing it to roll, but the roulette never able to see the result. Waiting with bated breath to see if that was a possible way to save his health bar from draining any further. And watching the 107 come up and move him up the board again.

The score was soon tallied, and the results caused the blonde to lightly frown—though she was able to find small comfort in the knowledge that she wasn’t dead last, that honor had gone to Valmont instead. A good humored banter had fallen between the white-haired man and Glamdark, the elf choosing to pay attention to the conversation on hand, before their hostess turned towards the group as a whole just as a new round began.

"... What does victory mean for you in this world? What defines it? What do you hope to achieve to bring you satisfaction?"

Glamdark’s questions provided some food for thought, causing the elven girl to adopt a pensive look even as an index finger rose to tap her bottom lip rhythmically while in thought. She was faintly aware of others as they went about their next actions, the voice of the teal-haired faerin registering somewhere in Lúthien’s mind as the ranger continued to think. Zelrius remained silent as the redhead decided to take his turn next, perhaps distracted by Hanno’s odd choice of a defensive action for this round?

"Mmm," She picked up her dice next, aware of her diminishing health, before four d20s clattered towards the table. One of them landed on a 20, causing the object to crackle with electricity before a fifth d20 rolled onto the table next. "I’m afraid my own view of victory within this game isn’t as grandiose as Hanno’s…"

Besides her roll a dark d8 appeared next, rolling onto the table before it landed on a [ 6 ] shortly before Lúthien’s eyes trailed to the roulette to confirm the damage. "You see, I just—wait, carajos, not again!" This time she was ready to counter however, her hand swiftly moving to grab a pair of d10s and quickly flicking them towards the table. Lúthien breathed a sigh of relief as the numbers tallied out, glad to see that her health had managed to increase after all instead of deteriorating. "That was a bit too close for comfort… but as I was saying," She tapped the top of the table next, prodding a menu to appear before the girl selected one option from it. Her dice disappeared from the table before reappearing at her side once more, the ranger grabbing two d10s and casting them onto the table once more.

"I suppose the thrill I seek from this game is quite simple: I wish to see as many new sights as possible, and this game—with its hyperrealism and attention to detail—certainly has more than enough to keep me busy for a long time."

An average roll, yes, but at least it still added towards her total score tally… with some luck she’d be able to stay ahead of Valmont at the very least, considering Lúthien had no desire to be the last of the pack.

"H-Hey! Watch it with the sand, you dumba...!"

While Harper was more than happy to just keep going at @Chrys for dirtying everyone in the room, a chill ran down her spine as a sudden realization came to her mind when everyone covered their drinks from the sand. Lifting her tail with a worried gaze, she'd check up on her drink... Now a mix of honey, milk, and sand particles. The tigress would freeze for a moment, before slowly turning back towards the rock boy.

Rage in her eyes, murder in her mind. It was clear as day that at the current moment, she wanted nothing but to crush Chrys into fine sand himself, her rage boiling over so much that her tail ended up crushing the glass it was holding. This did help Harper snap out of it, however, her gaze softened a bit as she looked back at the mess she had made on the floor. With a sigh, she'd shake her head and turn to @Glamdark , speaking with an apologetic tone.
"Sorry for that, should've known better. If you don't mind, can you hit me up with another one?"

With that said, she'd turn towards @Fiora Di Angelo after the brunette threw a verbal dart or two at her with a smirk, shrugging her shoulders. "Yeah yeah, fair enough. I'm still game though, so don't count me out for a fumbled start. But cut it with the "kitten" stuff. You ain't my pops nor my ma's, so drop it unless you care to find out just how much of a feline I am." Her tone would shift to a more serious one, the tigress making sure to bring up one of her hands to her own face and unleash her sharp white claws to make her point.

But enough with the bodily threats. She was still competing after all, and it was best to focus on that. Wanting to get closer to the frontrunners, she'd throw a dice that split in two, at the price of higher retaliation. One rolled average, and one dangerously low. The beastkin's face visibly twisted in frustration, a sideglance thrown towards Fiora to check on whatever reaction she had to Harper's low results. At the very least she didn't receive much damage thanks to @Hanno Futaba 's actions. "Hanno, was it? Thanks for just now. Though don't expect me to help you back. Not that I really can..."

"As for what I seek here, I'd have to say that it is to prove myself. Prove that my skills as a lifelong Judoka can work in a fantasy world against ever more threatening challenges. Each day that I log in is to not only seek new heights but to also attain self-improvement both inside and outside of the game. And every bit of it that I manage is a victory in of itself."
The tigress would speak, before visibly relaxing and continuing with a smile. "And of course, I wouldn't do any of that if I didn't love it and had lots of fun. Can't deny that seeing some tall brute look dumbfounded as I throw them like a sack of potatoes has yet to get old, haha!" With a hearty laugh Harper would settle down, waiting for the others and possibly for a new cup of honeyed milk.

Little by little the stakes rose higher. The possibility of losing more of his own holdings, but no chance to take more from the dealer. Something about that didn't seem quite fair, but Yugam didn't complain. That was just how games like this went. Besides, the man was comfortably in the middle of the pack, and at no real risk of being taken out of the game yet.

Harper slamming on the table, however, had caused a little bit of trouble. Valmont was quick to catch the glass before it fell though, and with Glamdark quickly popping out the damaged bit of table, it seemed all was right with the world as Yu's eyes drifted around the table again.

Well, until Glamdark asked a rather strange question.

Were it not that Yu's resting face made it look like he wanted to stab someone, a slight fall in the man's demeanor might've been noticed others. Or, if anyone was very well acquainted with man, they might've noticed the way the corners of his lips twisted downwards a little more than normal. This was not a question he enjoyed because the answer was not easy.

Zelrius' eyes met Yugam's just before the man rolled, neglecting to answer the dealer's question, a fact not gone without notice as Luthien rolled next, swearing as the dice decided to make her life difficult. Yugam chuckled wryly, a hand drifting over to her leg, giving it a comforting squeeze as she made a couple more rolls in an effort to recover, and coming out the other side looking better than she had started.

Her answer made sense, it had sounded just about like what Yugam had expected from the girl, and it was a goal the man understood. Being here, in this game, it was just a way for him to escape the boring daily droll of real life and experience excitement after all. Well, that was just one reason he played Terrasphere at least.

Harper's reasoning Yugam found to be equally respectable. To keep pushing herself, and have fun doing it. Something to strive for, no doubt. The impulsive teen had suddenly earned herself a bit more respect from the man as it came to be his turn to roll.

He said nothing as he cast the die, allowing Harper's words to drown out his actions. Not a bad result, aside from his roulette dice. But it could've been worse. As for who to offer his protection for this round...Brown eyes settled on Hanno, the one who wanted to make the world safe for everyone in it. He was a suitable candidate.

At the question from their hostess it was as if all of the warm, relaxed, humor had been swept away from Valmont. He went cold. Cold enough that if he had the mastery for it, there might be frost in the air. He swirled his scotch, took a sip, and hesitated before he put the glass back down in its secured spot. There was a deep rage there, a slumbering beast that had opened one eye when it was disturbed. ”Victory?” He scoffed. Reaching up to take off his glasses and wipe at his face. ”If only it were so simple.” He took a deep breath, letting it out slowly, and the rage subsided. Slipping back down to sleep.

He worked at putting his mask back on, aided by the words of @Hanno Futaba . ”I’ll drink to that!” He said, a little warmth creeping back into his voice. With one hand he raised his glass for a big sip, downing half the glass in one pull. While with the other he carelessly tossed out his dice, not wanting to put a damper on the night's proceedings.

His twin D10’s rolled and bounced before coming to a rest. The results were in with unimpressive double digits, falling ever farther back behind the leaders. Yet, there was that dark die, this time a hexagonal coin reflecting the score from the board. He saw the numbers pop up and flicker. 134 dropped to 67, perhaps an effect of the resolution granted by @Hanno Futaba's words? Still unacceptably high. He glared at that black, translucent, faceted coin made of a dark version of his own magic. The number started to drop further still. 66…65…63… It accelerated until Valmont could no longer exert his will on it. 48. Far more reasonable, and the round number of his own HP pleased him.

Chrys simply ignored the rest of the Players' chattering, not considering any of them as trustworthy individuals. He's seen and represented more gamblers than he'd like to admit. He knows not to trust their ilk. Instead, he focused on the game, though he remained bored on the surface. In his head, he needed to be just as stalwart in his approach as he often was in defending those who'd pay for his...rocks.

Mmm. He took another sip of his drink and rolled, a little surprised than he got a higher result, even though he made less effort this turn. The sands continued to accompany his dice. He wondered then if he should make less effort. Maybe Fate just wants to see less from him. Fate can be such a bitch at times.

"Gold and peace."

He let out another yawn and watched the rest of the rolls in silence.

Current Mood: (◕v◕✿) "Hurry up and go bust!!!!"

"Wha~?"

*Glamdark's eyes briefly became as wide as saucers at Hanno's roll. Her mouth opened and closed a few times before she settled on biting her lip.*

If everyone teams up against me, my whole ploy will be ruined! Curses! Go bust! Go bust! Go buuuuuuuuust!

*She chanted in her heart while looking just a little paler. Recovering, Glamdark rose and prepared Harper's order, then, thinking a little longer, she decided to make everyone else a Long Glamisland Iced'ark Tea*

"Some with spirits some without, per my patrons' preferences, and for Ms. Harper, a fresh glass."

*Passing out refreshments Glamdark was just in time to see Yugam ALSO roll a protect die and internally screamed*

*Then, there was a rumble as reality got a little funky for a second and it no longer became clear if there were originally 8 players or 7, canon was just that malleable in The Dark Parlor as Glamdark looked up at the flickering lights with a mixture of annoyance and worry.*

"Ha... ha... well then, the game continues. (WHETHER THE FATES LIKE IT OR NOT!), Well, well, shall it be one round or two? I am at your mercy~"

"Oh, thank you buddy." Hanno smiled at @Yugam, taking the opportunity of a helpful protect the man tossed at him to grab his glass and look at @Valmont, grinning widely at his deep sip. "Hella! That's what I am talking!" Hanno went for a big gulp himself, following the magia's fashion and letting out a good long sigh.

He took a glance at @Luthien, shrugging slightly. "There is nothing grandiose about it, it is just what I wanna do. I think your idea of victory is perfect. Adventure for the win, right?" Hanno chuckled, fluttering his wings and then looking at @Harper with a surprised expression.

"A fellow judoka, huh? This one will be for you then, buddy!" Hanno beamed, reaching for the dice a bit too excitedly after the nice talk, tossing it with a grin just before looking @Glamdark's eyes and noticing that she wasn't exaaaactly in the bestest moods? Smiles weren't enough to hide her eyes exploding into something Hanno could only describe as negative.

His eye then, moved to look at the HP gauge, with everything moving in slow motion when he realized what was happening.

He shifted to look at the dice, with his jaw slightly dropping as he realized he had tossed a Critical Dice again, landing exactly on the number needed for a critical, and then-- He could only give a nervous smile at the salmon-haired woman.

Yu nodded towards Hanno as the man thanked him for providing him a little bit of extra protection against that dastardly dark die. As the man did so though, something flickered in the corner of his vision. His attention drawn the man turned and looked and saw...nothing? Hmm...strange.

A part of Yu felt as if there was supposed to be some loud, obnoxious pain in his ass sitting there, probably insulting him, but at the same time, that didn't feel quite right. Must just be the wind.

Putting the strange feeling aside, Yugam rolled his dice, almost immediately sucking air through his teeth and hissing as he saw the results. That couldn't have gone much worse. Not only had he rolled poorly, but he was also about to be taken out of the game if he didn't act. Probably just the dark die getting back at him for helping out Hanno. In any case, Yugam still had a couple aces in his sleeve. Rolling a save die, a with a little flick of the wrist, the man was quite satisfied to see that he would live to gamble his money away another day.

The slight frown that faintly pulled at the corner of the man’s lips hadn’t gone wholly unnoticed, the blonde beside him tilting her head slightly to one side in an unspoken inquiry as her turn had come up. By the end of it the elf’s frustration was somewhat palpable, a pout on her lips as she continued to roll high on the damage being dealt towards her own HP instead of Glamdark’s.

She couldn’t help but wonder what deity, or deities, she might’ve pissed off recently for her rolls before a hand drifted to rest on her leg. Crimson eyes turned to look at @Yugam as he gave the elf a comforting squeeze, a faint smile pulling at her lips in return as her hand moved to rest atop his own.

Her attention was momentarily grabbed as the crushing sound of a cup echoed in the space, a look given towards @Harper before the elf sighed softly. "Banter’s all well and good, but let’s try to not make messes that Glamdark will have to deal with." The words held no scorn in them, just a bit of friendly advice, before Lúthien excused herself for a moment to help @Glamdark with the clean up. A soft and quiet hum left her lips as the elf focused on her magic, before carefully manipulating the honeyed milk into a floating orb that was then disposed of wherever the pinkette pointed at.

When Glamdark treated them all with new drinks the elf gave a thankful nod, having just finished the last of her original order, before the words of @Hanno Futaba caught Luthien’s attention. "I can drink to that, adventure for the win~" She was in a better mood now, quietly pushing a nagging feeling that something was amiss or forgotten aside in her mind, before her eyes focused on Yu as the man took his turn once more.

She winced upon seeing his dark die result, concern flashing on her elven features as the hunter’s HP began to take a nose dive, before a breath of relief escaped her lips as Yugam managed to counter it. "Right, my turn then… no hard feelings if I deal the finishing blow, Glam." The drink was set back onto the coaster before Lúthien’s hands picked up the pair of d10s and rolled them onto the table.twice. As the tally was added up she couldn’t help but frown lightly, before venturing to request that one point be handed elsewhere with the dealer.

To her surprise Glamdark agreed, with @Chrys becoming the lucky recipient of the single digit, a grin flashed in the man’s direction before Lúthien’s gaze turned back to the table just as the dark die dropped. "A five… fuuuck meee, why do I keep rolling so high when it’s my HP that’s taking the hit?" The frown was back as an exhas[erated sigh left her lips, the blonde sinking back onto her chair after picking up the Long Glamisland Iced’ark Tea that their host had graciously prepared for them and taking another couple of sips.

"Good luck to whoever rolls next."

@Hanno Futaba 's dice practically exploded when they landed. Turning into more dice, and chunking the hell out of the HP of the dealer. Glam was right - it was the home stretch now. And Zelrius was losing, hard. Then @Yugam tried the same thing, and the pyromancer couldn't help but frown. Even on a low roll, the dark haired Weapon Arts user could deal considerable damage. Followed by Luthien. The Dealer 'HP' got lower and lower. And he was losing time. His eyes locked with @Fiora Di Angelo - determination swelled.

'No hesitation.' was his final thought. The world seemed to slow around him, heart pumping, adrenaline latching onto every detail. He raised his dice, jingled them in his hand, and then let go. In an immediate reaction, his form was encased in flame, ready to eat the incoming retal damage, hoping it would help. Behind the crackling fire, he could hear the dice clink off the table, bounce and roll. Then come to a stop. Jaw clenched, eyes closed to brace for the retaliation damage from the roulette wheel.

Damage that never came. "Uhh?" He lowered the flames to look, seeing the dealer's now empty bar, and wondering what the hell that meant.
