Even with the rain falling down from cloudless skies the sunlight still made the lake sparkle, a beautiful sight which held Vina's attention for several seconds. Around the lake, there was a wall of trees shutting out the rest of the world, leaving only the tranquil blue below and the vast blue expanse above, with numerous droplets connecting the two as they fell down from the heavens to join the lake's body.
However, as she stared at the lake Vina noticed that there was something moving about underneath the surface. A mere shadow, too far away and too deep to give away any details, but also clearly too big to be a fish. The vixen watched with curiosity as the dark shape moved around the lake, circling several times before it moved towards the centre where it quickly grew until it broke the surface and flew up into the air accompanied by a spray of water.
Vina had been wondering whether there might be some magical beast in the lake as that could explain the rain, but she hadn't expected an elven beauty to appear. A part of her wanted to call out, but whatever the white-haired female was doing in the lake was still ongoing: after surfacing she stood upon the water as if it was merely a stage for her performance, dancing and spinning across the glistening expanse.
The rain, already mysterious enough in the absence of any clouds, became even more mysterious as it began to follow the lake maiden's movements, disobeying gravity to swirl around her like a liquid scarf which glittered in the sun's gaze. If there had been any doubt in Vina's mind that this beauty was responsible for the unusual phenomenon it disappeared once she saw the way the water followed the girl's movements.
Being a performer herself Vina had great respect and appreciation for the arts, and this dance was no exception. Planting her staff in the ground at the lake's edge she watched attentively, azure eyes shifting from the rain now swirling around the river to the beautiful figure in the middle of it all, dancing here isolated from the rest of the world.
Not wanting to interrupt the performance the vixen kept watching, eventually beginning to hum as she got a hang of the dancer's rhythm. The humming would slowly spread, not growing louder but nevertheless reaching across the entire lake, as if the melody arose from the air itself rather than the silver-white-haired vixen standing at the edge. That the raindancer had risen from the lake so quickly after the druidess's arrival was, she thought, an indication that she was on some level aware of her audience, and would eventually acknowledge her presence.
