She had thought everyone had their seatbelts on, only realizing a certain pink-haired gremlin hadn’t put hers on when Nico raised the volume to max on the song. It had caused Val to glare at the girl through the rearview mirror, before realizing that this cheeky creature had actually disregarded her one request. Don’t say I didn’t warn you... A silent smile pulled at the corner of her lips, the only telltale sign that the blonde was up to something, though from Nico’s position in the backseat—right behind Dayeon’s passenger seat—the pinkett would’ve missed the smirk.

"Should be around here. There, to the left!"
"Hey I think you can park over there!"
"Oh yeah, good eye Nico—whooops~"

A quick look through the side mirrors confirmed no cars were behind them at the time, one last check also done through the rearview mirror for good measure, before the blonde suddenly decided to do a little brakecheck. It was enough to cause all the girls to suddenly shift forward, the seatbelt along Dee’s chest and her own quickly locking against the sudden movement to prevent either woman from smacking into something… though Nico wouldn’t be as fortunate in the back given her poor life choice.

With the car now stopped Dayeon had a chance to get off just as Valeria turned to look at the pinkett in the backseat. "Better have that seatbelt on when we’re driving back, got it?" She’d wait long enough in case Nico also wished to get off then, before the girl went ahead to back up the Mustang into the spot.

The roof of the car was brought up as a just in case, having noticed the location of the button to do so when Ari had looked for it earlier, before exiting and locking the car with a beep. She quickly caught up with the other two, catching the end words of the idol that caused the blonde to arch an eyebrow in response.

"Don’t be silly, besides you never told me how much I owe you for the AirBnB. Don’t worry about the grocery cost, I’ll spot you on those."

While Dayeon focused on the spicy chicken, and Nico on whatever pasta dish the woman craved, Val had chosen to focus on breakfast items—they’d need to eat in the mornings after all, and there wasn’t a guarantee they’d go out every time for that—and beverages. Eggs, shredded mozzarella cheese and bacon quickly found their way into the trolley cart; followed soon enough by a gallon of freshly squeezed orange juice, strawberry lemonade, and some lime Perrier.

"Mmm... what should we get for fun drinks?"

It was over... Her life that is.

Everything flashed the second she felt gravity pull her forth, the very instant the tires screeched to a sudden stop. The whole world had turned into a slow-motion, and only thing left is a scratch record to play before the inevitable yet no one would hear her story, it would be as if she never existed in the first place, and her last words were related to parking near a grocery shop on hawaii, a hawaiian grocery shop.

Nico slammed with full force against the back of Dayeon's seat, face first as the force of the impact made her recoil and spring backwards. Her loud cries must have been missing from her lips, the way her body ragdolled back there just shut off any sound out of her, and then... Nothing.

"Better have that seatbelt on when we're driving back, got it?"

The source of all evil in Hawaii spoke, but she couldn't quite look at her, tucked under the seats, where once she rested her feet, pulling herself back together once this wasn't the end of her story, just a warning of some sorts to do something... She can't remember.

Well it doesn't matter, Val was smiling and all right? Right, back to what they were doing, stride over to the grocery shop

"Don't be silly, besides you never told me how much I owe you for the AirBnB. Don't worry about the grocery cost, I'll spot you on those."
"I'll be dropping some too. There's a buncha' things to buy you two ain't keeping tabs on."
Nico remarked. Case on point she picked up a plastic basket and started to drop things in it, except the wine, the wine had to be placed carefully.

Merlot specifically, a good red wine to sauce a good pasta with. Lo and behold, american alfredos were sold here! Now this was going much smoother than Japan, and the familiar snack brands were an easy pick to add to their heroic meal. Presentation was key, and the more food the less depressive it looks that they are spending their first day doing some pasta and chicken.

Now an area of her expertise came up once Val suggested to catch some fun drinks, with Nico humming outloud as she scouted their surroundings, specifically the shelves and what drinks there actually were. "Okolehao for sure. I heard it's real strong though, but I'm sure Ari will recognize it in a heartbeat... Don't ask me why I know about hawaiian alcohol." She ain't some alcoholic googling a vacation spot's drinks. Of course not.

"I'll be dropping some too. There's a buncha' things to buy you two ain't keeping tabs on."

"Alright, alright, thank you."
She's relieved that at least the holes in her pocket are not going to increase. The woman circled around the fresh section, looking for spices and vegetables. She took two cloves of garlic, a bundle of scallion, and a fistful of chili peppers. Not forgetting some essentials like ground pepper, salt, soy sauce, sugar, vegetable oil, and sesame seeds.

"Huh, wonder if our course is too heavy." The idol decided to get something fresh for the side. Pickled vegetables? Nah, they got packaged kimchi here. She threw two packs of it into the trolley, pushing it around to find the two gremlins. "Hey, are you girls done yet? Let's go pay." Nico was suspiciously eyeing a particular drink, but she'll trust the pinkette for now.

They headed to the cashier, who scanned all their items, before looking at the idol for two seconds. For a second, Dayeon thought that the woman was going to recognize her but the cashier was just actually asking "Cash or card?" Phew.

She hoped the pink gremlin had learned her lesson, though if needed Valeria wasn’t against repeating the stunt until Nico got the memo. Surprisingly enough the girls were quite efficient once within the supermarket, only the occasional shout most of the time by Nico really happening now and again as they tried to find one another or ask about a particular pick in foods or drinks. And speaking of drinks…

While Dayeon went off again to get the last few essentials, and Nico found her own drinks and spirits of choice, Valeria had dipped into the beer aisle to look over the different brands and options available—finally settling on a few. The first three options came from Maui Brewing Co: the Bikini Blonde Lager, the Pineapple Mana Wheat and finally the Sunshine Girl Golden Ale. The next and final batch would come from Aloha Beer: the Kiawe Honey Porter and, the one that caught her attention the most by far, the Hi-Bitchcus Ale.

Finally she peered her head over the asian options available, grabbing the first two soju bottles tha quickly caught her attention—one being green grape flavor and the other a peach flavor—before Dayeon was finally turning the trolley towards the checkout section and the first available cashier.

"Cash or card?"
"Card."

Her phone was flipped so the girl could access the magnetic wallet safely secured behind it, pulling out a rose gold AMEX card before her eyes turned towards the two women. "You guys sure we have everything? Once we leave we aren’t coming back here until tomorrow or later…" Enough time would be given for any last minute picks if needed, before Valeria would take care of the total while the other two worked on bagging the items up.

A short few steps later would find them back at the parking lot, the Mustang beeping as the blonde unlocked the vehicle and its trunk.

Given their ability to collect stuff it wouldn't be far to call them both gremlins, now that she thinks twice on it. Val had gone all out with the alcohol, leaving Nico to drop her jaw at just how much shit she's been buying for the ocassion, while Dayeon was glad her own pockets would take less of a hit.

"Aren't you rich?" She questioned, curiosity biting the words out of her. If a world-class idol ain't earning better than the library assistant, then this world is upside down. Granted, that did sound funny in hindsight, and did explain Day's attitude both in and outside of the game: Money makes an egoistical bitch, so does fame, and neither seem to be part of the idol whatsoever.

She ain't gonna smile about it, keeping her approval a secret instead.

You guys sure we have everything? Once we leave we aren't coming back here until tomorrow or later…"

Nico gave a look back at the shelves and each row, trying to think hard on anything they could be missing, only to make a run for it and come back about a minute later with two packs of grated cheese, dropping it over the checkout section. "Can't have pasta without some of it." She smiled, heading over to start packing everything up in plastic bags for them to carry a few eachother, all the way back to the mustang.

"I'm going on the front seat now, Day. I handle the music." She smirked back at the koreanu to her own clever excuse to fetch the glorious co-pilot position.

"Aren't you rich?"

"Being an idol doesn't make you rich."
She chuckled, and the fact that the former top idol is nowhere near rich was also funny to her. Dayeon scratched her head, unsure how to explain the entertainment business to the pink-haired girl. "Basically, nothing from the concert tickets, performances, sponsorships, and music royalty went to us. We just get paid wages and sometimes bonuses." The idol recalled, "Actually, we didn't even get paid the first year either. It was to cover the training and pre-debut costs."

"You guys sure we have everything? Once we leave we aren't coming back here until tomorrow or later…"

"I'm good."
She passed, and after everything was bagged up the two-tone-haired girl helped to bring the groceries back to the red mustang. After making sure the eggs are in a safe position, she shut the trunk down.

"I'm going on the front seat now, Day. I handle the music."

"Alright, I should be taking pictures with my phone anyway." The idol brandished the iPhone 24, which was almost in pieces during Summerfest thanks to Naomi. "Seatbelt on, let's go."

"Aren't you rich?"
"Being an idol doesn't make you rich."
"Yeah, the music industry can be very sussy—especially in Asia."

Sure they always portrayed the good parts out whenever the top idols were promoted and whatnot, but behind the perfect pictures and videos was usually grueling work and little pay. It didn’t take too much effort to find that info online either, though a part of Val hoped that at least Dayeon was doing marginally better than some of the Reddit stories she’d read online. Her last call had Nico bounce away for a moment, the pink-haired gremlin returning with two bags of shredded cheese just before the total was settled.

"I'm going on the front seat now, Day. I handle the music."
"Alright, I should be taking pictures with my phone anyway."
"Thanks Dee, since someone around here forgot about that."

The blonde settled back into the driver seat, clicking the button to pull the top of the Mustang down once more after the engine purred to life again. Her own seatbelt was clicked into place, the iPhone XX5 that she owned placed on one of the cup holders for safe keeping, before Valeria turned her gaze to Nico expectantly.

"Better put your seatbelt on, unless you wanna get brake-checked into the dash."

"Being an idol doesn't make you rich."
"Yeah, the music industry can be very sussy—especially in Asia."
"BEING AN IDOL DOESN'T MAKE YOU RICH?!"
Nico shouted in shock, getting self-concious about it once people started to give her the stinky eye. The way Dayeon so casually explained the industry itself had her worry every second the conversation went on. "Are you for real..?" Their conversation in their way here certainly made sense now, specially with Day sounding like a depressed bitch the whole trip.

Even on her way back to the car, Nico didn't know what to think, spacing out once she dropped the bags on the trunk (on a corner, just to not break the eggs, d'uh) and went to her seat. A minute of silence followed had her frown and look outside to notice: they haven't moved a single bit out of their parking spot.
"Hey Val we ain't moving." Clueless still, she noticed how this two-toned gremlin was staring- GLARING back at her, prompting a glare of her own in defiance to their driver.
"WHAT, WHAT DO YE-"
"Better put your seatbelt on, unless you wanna get brake-checked into the dash."
oof...

The seatbelt... Right. Just the reminder had her swallow down hard.

She went quiet after that, her voice softening unsurprisingly fast at that, and instead opting to tune in some tunes. This time something wilder, but not as hyped up after their whole trip through the grocery store, still something nice to blast if only for the lyrics, given how well these represented these three coneheads. Forever Stuck in Our Youth

"Alright, I should be taking pictures with my phone anyway."
"Hey send me some of these, I gotta send 'em to a friend."

It wouldn't be long the trio would be already on their way back, taking the same route if only in reverse (not actually driving in reverse though, no matter how cool that sounded). With Nico giving a glance back to Dayeon, then to Val.

Yeah, maybe now's the time...

"Hey so," She started, resting her arm over the window as a makeshift arm-rest, her left pulling the volume just enough for them to hold a conversation without going into shouting. "Remember I said I wanted to tell you two somethin'? So... I got into a relationship with a girl. And I want to surprise her with some pictures and like, do a videocall later. Her name's Ronja, met her on TS. Ari paid me a ticket to go visit her."

"Yeah, the music industry can be very sussy—especially in Asia."

"Sheesh. Yeah, no kizzy." She acknowledged what Val said, the music industry was already sussy enough that it's baffling that the practices were so predatory around Asia, particularly in Korea.

"Are you for real..?"

"Do I look like a millionaire?"

Her multi-colored hair fluttered in the wind as they drove back on the rather empty road. Dayeon closed her eyes, her hands reached out to feel the Hawaii air. It was a change she needed, away from her own safe space back in Boston. "Wow, that's this year's model." She just noticed Valeria's phone that was placed on the cup holder, one year newer than hers.

"The sky is pretty." The idol quickly snapped a few pics of the cloudy blue Hawaii sky with her iPhone. Apple really perfected smartphone photography in 2033; those pics were unbelievable in quality. She also shot a few pics of Nico and Val in the front seat and some selfies where her long hair was flowing freely in the air.

"
And I want to surprise her with some pictures and like, do a videocall later. Her name's Ronja, met her on TS. Ari paid me a ticket to go visit her."

"That's very cool,"
Dayeon grinned at the thought of Nico visiting her girlfriend. "I didn't think you were a sweet, romantic type." They more or less memorized the path they took before, so the way back wasn't as long as the time they departed from the house.

A raised eyebrow was shot to Dayeon and her commnet, the blonde stifling a chuckle, before Nico’s question had Val looking at the pinkett with a nod.

"Are you for real..?"
"Unfortunately that’s the truth, it’s a very predatory industry."
"Do I look like a millionaire?"

Seconds turned into a whole minute as the car remained idle in its parking, a pointed gaze given to Nico as the blonde waited for the woman to follow instructions. "Hey Val we ain't moving." A surprised look crossed her face then, realization dawning on Val that her earlier lesson had apparently missed its mark entirely on Nico’s mind.

Thankfully the threat suggestion of another brake-check finally had the pinkett buckle up her own seatbelt. The new music that blasted through the speakers was to Val’s liking, the blonde humming along to the tune as the Mustang headed out of the parking lot and back into the road.

"Wow, that's this year's model."
"Mmm, oh yeah! The XX model I had was kinda slow, and also heating up when charging, so I got this one in early October."

"Hey send me some of these, I gotta send 'em to a friend." True to her word Dayeon began taking pictures of the scenery around them as Val drove, catching the attention of Nico as the pinkett turned to look at the idol. It caused the blonde to chuckle before she spoke up. "I’ll send you the clips of the sugar cane fields and the ocean, but you better start getting some pics of your own to share—I also promised a friend pics and vids from Hawaii."

She’d been about to prod Nico on this mystery friend of hers, before the far away look on the woman’s face caused Val to pause for a moment. Sure enough the pinkett eventually turned to look at both women in the car, a soft nod being Val’s way of showing she was listening as the girl focused on the road.

”So... I got into a relationship with a girl.”
"For real? Wow, congrats Nico~ When do we get to meet her?"
”Her name's Ronja, met her on TS. Ari paid me a ticket to go visit her."
"That's very cool. I didn't think you were a sweet, romantic type."

Valeria had fallen silent shortly after a familiar name had dropped from Nico’s lips, not being one she’d expected to hear out of the TerraSphere universe, before her mind tried to figure out what was going on. Granted Ronja wasn’t a common name at all, so the odds of there being two different Ronjas was pretty low… but not entirely impossible, maybe?

"S-Say… is she a blue-haired tinkerer in-game?" One of her hands left the steering wheel to lay parallel against her collar bone as the blonde added another question. "About here or so in height by any chance?"

Had they both been planning to send pictures to the same person after all?

There was a delay all of a sudden. Where these words begun to resonate within her skull over and over again.
'Yeah, the music industry can be very sussy—especially in Asia.'
'—the music industry can be very sussy'
'Sheesh- no kizzy.'
'-industry can be very sussy.'
'-No. Kizzy.'
'-V
ery. Sussy.'

Brainrot took over her mind. The tenth circle of hell couldn't be nowhere as terrible as this one. They would all burn in it, and perhaps they already are, stuck in a loop inside this mustang. Didn't they pass these clouds a moment ago?

Whatever brainwashing experience these two instigated in her with their old time memes, Nico finally snapped once Day made mention of the sky, the last thing her eyes had focus upon.

"Yeah no cap, the sky's pretty clear today." If you can't beat them, join them she thought, just then squinting her eyes at the broke idol at her own takes, yet granted, she couldn't really say they comin' out of nowhere; She isn't the romantic sort. Not anymore. "You never know, don't judge a cover for it's contents." That's how the quote goes? A 'good enough' kind of expression rested on her smug little face, nodding to self.

"What were you two talking about, phone models?" She interjected, having always been quite the neophyte when it came to these brands, Nico adopted the 'if it aint broken don't fix it' which meant holding the same phone for more than six years and let go of it eventually when it did gave in "You all and your Iphones-" Nico smirked, pulling out her brand old Samsung galaxy Note 27. "Samsung, bitches!" Her chuckling ceased once Val made mention of a mysterious friend of her own. That's cool and all, it's not like she has a reason to prod on her personal life, and for all she cares, she's doing her a favour.

"I'll send you the clips of the sugar cane fields and the ocean, but you better start getting some pics of your own to share—I also promised a friend pics and vids from Hawaii.."

"Bet."
A wink went back to the blonde. Which served as her answer for both of Val's statements- And her question, but soon she elaborated, after a momentary pause to let the puerto rican swallow how laid back she's acting right now. "Well eh, she's kind of busy. Not sure if you all will get to met her, but we'll see." Quick to shut it down, customer service smile and all, which should be easy for Val to see through given how used the blonde must be to do the same. And Dayeon, if she ain't wearing facemasks like all asian countries tend to do at all times of the day.

"S-Say… is she a blue-haired tinkerer in-game?"
Nico skipped a heartbeat just then, something visibly changing on her demeanour, supported by her driver's own nerveous little quirks. Tilting her head in the blonde's direction, dagger eyes tried to pierce through the windows of her soul, closer to fisticuffs than knife thrusts.
"Yes."
"About here or so in height by any chance?"
"Yes."
A dry tone and a brow rised high enough to put the question mark on her features, Nico leaned a bit closer to her 'friend'. Curiosity, and the dangerous sort at that as jealousy begun to drag her like an anchor through the ground, cracking everything in it's way. "Funny. How do you know."

"Samsung, bitches!"

Nico showed off the sad grandma phone she has, prompting the idol to chuckle at it. "I'm Korean, Nico. But Samsung sucks balls." She snapped some more car view shots before she decided that the photos were enough.

"S-Say… is she a blue-haired tinkerer in-game?"
"Funny. How do you know."

Dayeon was busy with her phone reviewing and sending the photos to the group chat, before looking back at forth between the two of them, confused by the sudden weird tone. "Oh, you two know the same person, huh? I don't know a lot of people from the game." She commented.

They could already see the house they were staying at, and slowly Val was pulling up to the driveway. Unclasping the seat belt, Dayeon stylishly jumped out of the car like an action star (something she learned from the Hong Kong movie filming).

"Alright, we're here. Help me get the groceries inside. Don't be noisy though, Ari might still be tired and sleeping." The woman made a shushing gesture as she opened the trunk and grabbed one of the plastic bags, waiting for one of them to open the door with the key.

"Samsung, bitches!"
"Eww."
"I'm Korean, Nico. But Samsung sucks balls."

It seemed on this particular topic the pink-haired gremlin was outnumbered two-to-one, but soon enough the conversation had turned away from the talk of cellphones to the talk of one Ronja Bubblyfoot. "Yes." There was something about the two affirmations received from Nico that caused the blonde to tense up, confused by the sudden dryness in Nico’s voice and the sharpness of her gaze as Valeria tried to focus on the road instead.

"Oh, you two know the same person, huh? I don't know a lot of people from the game."

Dayeon was the one to break the sudden silence that had befallen the front of the vehicle, the blonde more than happy to let the older idol take the attention now as she focused on backing up the Mustang into the AirBnB’s driveway. "Y-Yeah, seems like it! Guess the world really is smaller than it looks, huh? She’s a really cool player too." She still wasn’t sure what had caused Nico’s demeanor to suddenly shift, but the blonde was quick to unbuckle her seatbelt and follow the Korean woman towards the trunk soon as the engine had been turned off—she could raise the top of it later once all the groceries were inside.

"Doubt it, knowing him he’s probably still awake." Given what she knew of him and his insomnia Valeria was certain that was the most likely outcome, even if he had said he’d try his best to rest. The blonde picked as many bags as she felt comfortable carrying on one arm, a force of habit, while her other hand quickly shifted to grab the house key she’d pocketed on her way out. "Still, it’d be nice if he managed to rest an hour or two."

Her steps quickly took her to the front door, unlocking it without much issue, before the blonde made a beeline to the kitchen area and set down the three plastic bags onto the counter, her left arm sliding out of their handles.

Their reactions prompted disbelief on the pinkette, who watched these two troglodytes trash talk her her samsung.
"I'm Korean, Nico. But Samsung sucks balls."
"You suck balls."
She pointed a finger back at Dayeon, then switched it to Val, because obviously no girl is left behind in the trashtalking game. "And you too." That and given how Inadvertedly she let these words out after all that's happen recently. Certainly bad taste she wished to cover up under the rug reaal quick.

At least until all shots were fired with the mention of Ronja, and the suffocating silence that Dayeon broke like a total airhead. Either on purpose or unconciously, blind to the tension on the front seats. A genius or a dumbass, eitherway a life saver for the blonde and the anxiety that cramped Nico's shoulders.
"Y-Yeah, seems like it! Guess the world really is smaller than it looks, huh? She's a really cool player too."

"Yeah, she's real cool."
Leaving the flames cool off, if only because of Dae who kept reminding them what they were here for: Groceries. In Hawaii, which means vacation, which means don't ruin it for the others.

"Alright, we're here. Help me get the groceries inside. Don't be noisy though, Ari might still be tired and sleeping."

Val had enough of their staring contest and unbuckled, following in her steps by doing the same and heading over to the trunk of the mustang to catch some of the bags, twisting them around her grasp. "Val's right, man barely sleeps. With or without me snoring on the next room. Someone should buy him some sleep pills." Nico added, heading over to the entrace of the house and standing at bay next to it, back against the wall.

"Val's right, man barely sleeps. With or without me snoring on the next room. Someone should buy him some sleep pills."

"I can recommend him the one I take regularly."

She placed the plastic bag on the kitchen counter gently because it has eggs, then made sure all groceries were accounted for.

"Alright, there's still time before dinner. I'm gonna unpack,
hwrCnlD.png
rest for a few minutes, and slip into something more comfortable."

Going upstairs, she went into her room, jumping on the bed first to test how nice it was. "Oh yeah, nice," Dayeon exclaimed, before proceeding to open her suitcase and set up things around her room. After everything has been organized neatly, she went to the bathroom to the side of her room to wash her face.

"Time to marinate the chicken."
The idol came down to the first floor, already changed into more of a casual oversized shirt. She went to the kitchen counter and began to unpack the groceries. Searching through the multiple cabinets, Dayeon pulled out a bowl to make the batter first with the flour, water, MSG, and pepper.

Val was still unsure if she’d simply read too much into things, or perhaps the pinkett had decided to shrug off whatever had bothered her in the first place? The last of the groceries were brought inside the rented home without issue and, after raising the top of the convertible and locking it, soon the Mustang keys—and the house keys—were dropped in a small dish by the entrance. There were no sounds from upstairs as the girls moved about, and on more than one occasion the blonde glanced in the direction of the stairs.

Maybe he did fell asleep after all…?

Dayeon was the first to excuse herself, the blonde staying behind to finish storing the ingredients not meant for tonight’s dinner into the once mostly empty fridge. It didn’t take long and, when the last of the beers were placed into a corner and out of the way, the idol’s voice eventually carried over as Dee returned..

"Time to marinate the chicken."
"I’ll go change then while you’re doing that."

Quiet steps took her up the stairs, a glance given towards the room that Ari had claimed for his own, before the girl dipped into the master bedroom that she was going to share with Nico. Finding her luggage she began rummaging its contents, looking for something comfortable to wear for the rest of the evening.

With all the groceries left at the kitchen, Nico's legs carried her over to the couch, waving off at Dayeon as the woman headed upstairs to 'rest for a few minutes', taking advantage of it to do the same within the living room. Her head turned upstairs, imagining the rooms, the locked door to Ari's, and where she had to now share place with Valeria. Visual memory only taking her so far as the nice cozy pillows could before the events of earlier on their trip back played over her mind. The blonde's expressions, the way she reacted, even the little tug she did at the collar of her shirt...

"Time to marinate the chicken."
"I'll go change then while you're doing that."

The promise of a meal out of the idol's idle words to herself made the pinkette jump back to her feet and head over to the kitchen, where she already begun to poke her head around the cabinets.

"Need a hand popstar?" Nico made her approach from behind, standing next to Dayeon with a hand prompted over the counter, leaning her weight over it. "Shoot. I'm not a good cook, but I'm an extra pair of hands. What do you need?" A quiet smile riddled her lips. Maybe making herself useful would take her mind out of assumptions.

Wasn't working so far.

"Need a hand popstar?"

Nico suddenly appeared at her side, offering some help. As the songstress was just prepping the ingredients in advance, there was not much they can actually do yet. But the faster this is done, the earlier she can rest.

"Mm? Sure. I'm actually just doing prep work right now, I like my ingredients organized."

"Shoot. I'm not a good cook, but I'm an extra pair of hands. What do you need?"

Because Nico said that she was not a good cook, Dayeon delegated a task that doesn't require cooking knowledge or knife techniques.

"Alright, make a light batter for the chicken. The ingredients all are in here," She pushed aside the big bowl, flour, cup of water, white pepper, salt, and msg towards the pinkette's counter. "Once it tastes nice, put all the boneless chicken in the batter and store it in the fridge for at least thirty minutes."

From the top cabinet, the idol pulled out a cutting board before wielding a kitchen knife. "I'm gonna chop the garlic, scallion, and chili peppers in the meantime."

Using her experience as a line cook, Dayeon quickly peeled and finely chopped the garlic before depositing them to a small bowl container, moving to slice the red chili peppers next. As the scallion is going to be used as a garnish later, she julienned the vegetable for a more beautiful presentation.

She’d managed to find a simple top ’n’ shorts set to change into, and without making a royal mess of the belongings within her suitcase too—mindful of the space considering she’d be sharing it with Nico during the vacation. She disappeared into the bathroom next, taking a moment to wash her face before pulling up her hair into two messy buns.

Quiet steps brought her back downstairs, the blonde deciding to go barefoot while they were within the home, as the voices of Dayeon and Nico drifted through the living room while they worked on dinner. "Anything I can help with?" Her phone was set by the edge of the island, away from any spaces currently being used to prep, as her eyes settled on the idol—it seemed like Dee was the one in charge of the kitchen today.

"I’m not a pro, but I’ve cooked enough meals to keep myself alive so far."

Her gaze drifted towards Nico then, watching the gremlin work with the ingredients Dayeon had delegated her in order to make a seasoned batter for the chicken. She was probably just surprised that I knew who Ronja is… There was a light tension on Nico’s shoulders, but that could’ve been easily attributed to the task at hand… or just the toll that their long flights to Hawaii had on them today.

Muffled voices traveled from downstairs through the shut door behind which Ari had been sleeping. The man groggily opened his eyes and rolled over, first checking the time on his phone. Bleary eyes were able to read the time, only about an hour and a half since the girls had left for the grocery store. That must've been them downstairs now.

Quite literally rolling out of bed and landing on the floor with a thud, the man stood and went over to the door, rubbing his eyes as he opened it and stepped out, going over to the railing to look down into the living room. No one. Maybe they were in the kitchen? The man turned around and made his way to the stairs where he carefully took each step. Naps always made him feel awful and out of sync with his body, though the sight of the three girls prepping for dinner at least made him feel less like he was dead to the world. "Yo," he yawned in greeting at them. "How'd the shopping go?"
