She had thought everyone had their seatbelts on, only realizing a certain pink-haired gremlin hadn’t put hers on when Nico raised the volume to max on the song. It had caused Val to glare at the girl through the rearview mirror, before realizing that this cheeky creature had actually disregarded her one request. Don’t say I didn’t warn you... A silent smile pulled at the corner of her lips, the only telltale sign that the blonde was up to something, though from Nico’s position in the backseat—right behind Dayeon’s passenger seat—the pinkett would’ve missed the smirk.
"Should be around here. There, to the left!"
"Hey I think you can park over there!"
"Oh yeah, good eye Nico—whooops~"
A quick look through the side mirrors confirmed no cars were behind them at the time, one last check also done through the rearview mirror for good measure, before the blonde suddenly decided to do a little brakecheck. It was enough to cause all the girls to suddenly shift forward, the seatbelt along Dee’s chest and her own quickly locking against the sudden movement to prevent either woman from smacking into something… though Nico wouldn’t be as fortunate in the back given her poor life choice.
With the car now stopped Dayeon had a chance to get off just as Valeria turned to look at the pinkett in the backseat. "Better have that seatbelt on when we’re driving back, got it?" She’d wait long enough in case Nico also wished to get off then, before the girl went ahead to back up the Mustang into the spot.
The roof of the car was brought up as a just in case, having noticed the location of the button to do so when Ari had looked for it earlier, before exiting and locking the car with a beep. She quickly caught up with the other two, catching the end words of the idol that caused the blonde to arch an eyebrow in response.
"Don’t be silly, besides you never told me how much I owe you for the AirBnB. Don’t worry about the grocery cost, I’ll spot you on those."
While Dayeon focused on the spicy chicken, and Nico on whatever pasta dish the woman craved, Val had chosen to focus on breakfast items—they’d need to eat in the mornings after all, and there wasn’t a guarantee they’d go out every time for that—and beverages. Eggs, shredded mozzarella cheese and bacon quickly found their way into the trolley cart; followed soon enough by a gallon of freshly squeezed orange juice, strawberry lemonade, and some lime Perrier.
"Mmm... what should we get for fun drinks?"
