"Oh, those sound like fighting words." Would raise an eyebrow. "I just forgot to take my pre work out supplements is all. It's not like I'm just fighting any other opponent, I am fighting the infamous Energizer Bunny Toko! I'm willing to bet you could line up a bunch of powerful heroes and you'd clean all of their clocks." He grinned ruffling her hair.

"Missing stars? That sounds like one hell of a story."

One that Corsair hadn't shared, but he wouldn't begrudge her that. He had quite a few stories she hadn't heard, some because he'd made some dumb decisions and some because of how...steamy they were perhaps. Either way he would rise to his feet and go through the motions of stretching. He would start with his arms, then work on stretching out his back, then his legs, his muscles rippling as he pushed them to the edge of their range of movement.

"And I'm hearing a challenge there, do you want me to try wrangling you to the ground? Because last time we wrestled I won, and we were in a slippery ass mudbath where you had every advantage stacked against you."

"Mhmmm, suuureee... that's your excuse, huh?" There was a chuckle as Brutus ruffled her hair, his praise making her cheeks blush ever so slightly before Toko shrugged her shoulders. "Nah, I'm pretty sure there's plenty of other Travelers stronger than me out there."

Her attention returned to the kitten in her arms, cooing happily at Tiger while scratching the little ones belly softly. "Mhmm, it was quite puzzling too... that said Cleartop has a pretty cool view of the stars, I think it might rival the sight from the Mudspring." The kitten purred contently, at one point attempting to playfight with Toko's hand as the rabbit indulged in Tiger's behavior.

"Yes and no, after all mud is very slippery... and I am an Energizer Bunny, as you said. Perhaps I was at more disadvantage than you, Brutus-nii." There was a playful smirk in her lips even as her eyes gleamed in excitement, her competitive streak easy to see within them. "Who knows if you'd even be able to catch me~"

"Cleartop has nice stars? We'll have to go check it out sometime, I'm curious about the sight." He could recall how they'd both expressed a clear interest in the stars.

Brutus would finish his stretches and casually walk over, plucking Tiger from the Lepus with a grin. "Those, my dear, sound like fighting words" He would casually plant a smooch on the kitten as he lumbered back over to his sister Crow, setting him down with the other Kitten. "And frankly, after how the last bout went I would like my shot at redemption here."

Stay

He primal aurad the cat, and the feline would watch as the Felis would lumber back over to the clearing and drop into a stance. He would shore his stance up a bit, doing his best to remember how Toko had done it. He would roll out his neck and shoulders, readying himself.

Alright Brutus, lets try and see if we can tackle a rabbit.

"Let's see if I can swing it this time?"

"Uun! We really should, I bet it'd be a good spot for a picnic too~"

Eventually the kitten was plucked out of her hands once more, giving his head a final soft scratch before the Lepus stood up and began warming up once more. In the end she hadn't come over to play with the little babies, today's purpose was to help Brutus become more accustomed to using his own hands instead of the massive cannon or other objects to crush opponents flat... that wasn't going to get done by just sitting around the campfire and sharing playful banter.

"Mmm...! Let's see if your muscle can keep up then for that redemption arc, jiji?"

She would wait until Brutus was standing on the other side of the field, a smirk on her face before the Lepus made a proper bow to instruct her gakusei on proper etiquette. Toko didn't even wait a second after the ritual was completed, the rabbit quickly speeding towards Brutus as she attempted a feint to the left before switching to a right side kick... though, much to her disappointment, the Felis had just managed to duck low enough for her strike to miss.

The rabbit shot her tease at him, which he let run off him like water on a mountain. It wouldn't do to get mad, or let her ribbing phase him. It would simply throw him off, and he would refuse to let her get into his head. She bolted forward, much like he had done the first round, feinting left, but clearly doing so. The Giant simply slid backwards and let her hand sail through the air.

"Getting Cocky?" He asked, a grin spreading across his lips. He would wrap his arms around her torso and lunge forwards, pumping his feet quickly as he literally dragged her off her own feet and tackled her into the ground, doing his best to pin her limbs.

"I don't intend on losing twice in a row ya know! Bring your A game."

"Kuso...!"

Okay, so perhaps she haaad gotten a bit too cocky this time around, the Lepus attempting to leap back as she saw Brutus reach out for her. However the rabbit was a little too slow compared to the Felis, his hand finding purchase around her torso before dragging her back. "Waaah...!" Quickly Toko realized that Brutus was trying to pin her arms backwards, the Lepus taking a second to think before she figured a possible escape route.

A foot suddenly moved in between the giant's legs, the bridge managing to hook around the side of his left foot before Toko attempted a low sweep. It wasn't strong, but the motion had been enough to cause Brutus to stumble, giving Toko the chance she needed to slip out of his grasp and create distance between them.

"Yabai... that was too close!"

Brutus hissed as he stumbled, failing to properly pin the pesky Lepus. He watched in mild annoyance as the Lepus danced away, creating a gap between them in hopes of allowing herself a moment to breath and regain a modicum of control over this fight. He wouldn't let that happen. He pushed through the stumble, turning it into a stagger and then a sprint, sure some momentum was lost, but he hadn't reached a full stop so he was more likely to continue to build up speed.

"I'm gonna keep it close." He managed to grunt as he burst forward, swinging upwards with his fist as a feint before reaching forward with a palm strike and slamming into the Lepus' gut. "If you won't let me pin you, I'll opt for a good ole dust up too."

He was brutal, the Felis refusing to give Toko even a moment of rest as Brutus had quickly given chase. It didn't help his strides were longer than her own, and before the Lepus knew it Brutus was already right behind her once more.

"Shimatta!"

The incoming uppercut was the first thing that caught Toko's attention, the feint proving successful as the Lepus had braced to try and block the blow, before and open palm smacked right into Toko's stomach and pushed her backwards. For a moment the wind was knocked out of her lungs, her steps stumbling backwards before the Lepus quickly went for a defensive strike.

She knew Brutus would try to grapple her once more, and using the spring still left on her legs as she backed up to pivot—using her momentum to instead deliver a roundhouse kick to Brutus' head. She felt it connect, managing to stop his assault for a moment, before Toko jumped back once more to try and catch her breath.

"Shit."

His assault bit him in the ass as he charged headfirst into a roundhouse kick, sending him reeling backwards as the Lepus managed to retake her balance. This was bad, he was losing momentum and stalling out.

Those head shots were lethal.

Shaking his head, he would try to stagger back at her. He needed to put her off her balance again. He would make a couple easy feints, obvious things to try and bait her confidence up. This would end up to his disadvantage, as when he finally baited into diving for her again, she was comfortable enough on her feet to bound away.

Something something rabbits feet are lucky.

"God damnit." He hissed.

She figured he was beginning to get frustrated as the Lepus continued to dance just out of the reach of Brutus' fingertips, her feet lightly touching the ground with each step before Toko was switching gears. Speed would be her only saving grace if Toko wanted to counter Brutus' big mass and power, and if there was one thing Toko was confident it was on her legs.

"Seriously? That's too obvious of a bait, Brutus-nii!"

She easily read his movement, before finally ducking as his arm reached out from the side to grab the Lepus. The momentum was used to dance around his side before Toko attempted a back strike in the hopes of ending their match quickly...

Brutus planted and spun, ducking as he did so. He knew she would go for the back strike, she couldn't help herself. The idea of dancing around the giant and hitting him was obviously appealing to him. Instead, she would find her strike sailing over his head as the giant had crouched impossibly low. For once, he was looking up at her, a grin spread across his lips.

"I'm obvious?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. "You're just as obvious!"

He would lunge upwards, wrapping her arms up and snagging the rabbit into a bear hug. He would pull her feet from the ground and in one fell swoop slam both of them back on the dirt. The two of them would slide slightly through the grass as the giant found himself laying on top of the Lepus, panting heavily as he kept her pinned to the dirt for a moment.

"I think." He managed, between breaths. "That that one is my victory no? Toko chan~" His heart was pulsing in his chest, equal parts from the battle, and equal parts that having the rabbit pinned like this was setting off all sorts of primal predator/prey instincts off in his head. It took just about as much willpower as he could muster to pry his arms from her and roll over onto the grass, still panting.

"FUCK YEAH!"

"Masaka...!"

Toko had been so sure that this attack would hit, having aimed for a central area in her strike, when suddenly Brutus had ducked so low to dodge it that Toko actually had to look down to look at his face. "Ch-Chotto—iiick!" There was an attempt made to try and dance out of his range, it resulted impossible as the giant decided to go for a bear hug that covered the whole rabbit.

She'd struggle then to try and get free, before her center of gravity was completely flipped sideways when Brutus knocked the both of them to the ground. "Wakata wakata, you win this one Brutus~!" Laughter rang through the clearing as the Lepus tried to free herself before finally giving up, the heavy frame of Brutus simply too much for her to wrestle out of.

Her lungs burned as the Lepus struggled to inhale enough air between her chuckles, her heart beating a mile a minute, before she finally calmed enough to peer up at the Felis... only to finally realize how close they both were to one another as she stared right into those pretty blues of his.

"R-Right, off you go now you brute."

The Lepus' words held a playful tone to them, although Toko could feel the heat quickly rising to her cheeks, her face quickly turning sideways as she attempted to tap out at last by smacking his chest a few times. Thankfully the Felis rolled over then, still panting before unleashing a victory cry of his own.

Jeez, Toko's eyes are pretty

The giant would let out a chuckle that would develop into a boisterous laughter that would ring through the clearing, sending both kittens on alert as they peered out of the oversized coat, ears raised high as they listened to the booming of his voice. He would roll onto his side and peer at the Rabbit, a smirk on his lips.

"It would appear that in this case, the Student has gotten a leg up on the master, ne~" he teased reaching over and tosseling the bunny's hair. He couldn't help but relish this moment. Her first victory had stung, burning his pride as a warrior to naught but cinders, but now, like a phoenix, it had reignited and rose from the ashes of defeat.

Eventually, after a good chuckle he would rise to his feet, grabbing the Lepus and pulling her to his feet as well. Inviting her out here was a good idea, she was the perfect sparring partner, especially since Ilya seemed to be avoiding him for the moment.

Not that he wanted to think about that can of worms.

"What did you think of that time eh? Am I getting any better? Or would you call that one a fluke?"

He was curious as to what she had to say about it, eager to hear her compliments and takes on the fight as a whole. He would go back to the unlit fire pit where he'd left Sam and motion for Toko to follow, activating the frogs healing abilities.

"Barely, you only got lucky at the very end..."

She couldn't help but smirk back at the Felis as he boasted, his booming laughter infectious as it rang out through the forest. Toko had stuck her tongue out at him when Brutus had reached over to tossel her hair, though she couldn't help the chuckles that followed.

"Careful it doesn't go up to your head, you still need to win two more matches after all~"

The loss was a hit to the rabbit's own pride, but she comforted herself in the knowledge that the bout had been close... and she had even gotten the first win of the day just moments before. His hand was accepted as the Lepus stood up from the grass, a hand dusting a few blades of green from her clothes before she pondered over his question.

"It wasn't bad, but your faints definitely need for work... you're like an open book when you're trying to bait your opponent." She sat by the unlit fire pit once more, allowing Sam's restoring powers to refresh them. "... but you did do a good job keeping the pressure, even in the moments I thought you wouldn't."

"Well, we are tied on the scoreboard right now." His eyes would twinkle. "It's anyone's game today." He would watch as Sam would hum and whirr and the light let off by the frog would heal any bruises or scrapes they had received. Tiger, seeing the coast was clear, leapt down from his nest and would slowly waddle his way over to them, mewling slightly.

"I think that feints might just not be my style," he shrugged. "I'm too big, and while I can move fairly fast, I don't think I can really bluff my way through that, especially with your perceptive eyes." He would debate lighting a fire, but for now he would pass on it.

"As for pressure, yeah I think I'm working pretty hard on keeping that up. I have to be careful, because a couple of times I would go for more pressure and ended up taking a hit for it, like that roundhouse kick." He would frown and then shoot her a sideways glance. "Which is killer by the way, you keep hitting me like that and I'm gonna get a concussion or something."

Finally Tiger made his way to the Lepus, and with a yip, the Feline jumped into her lap and nuzzled up to her stomach. It would appear the kitten had a new friend.

"Well.. tied for now~"

There was a teasing smile to her lips as the Lepus looked over towards Brutus, allowing the healing energy of Sam to take care of any scuffs or scratches she might have acquired during their recent match up.

"Yeah... although, honestly, it's almost always your eyes that really give you away." The mewling caught Toko's attention as the kitten bounded over, the fighter carefully picking Tiger up before setting him onto her lap. "You tend to look briefly to where you really want to go before shifting, and that makes it easier for me to know what you're actually trying to do."

A soft laughter left Toko when Brutus talked about her roundhouse kicks, the Lepus shrugging softly before she spoke. "Would you believe me if I said I'm holding back a bit on them?" It was true, after all even if Sam was available it still sounded like a good idea to not cause one another any fractures.

"I will admit my control isn't the best at times though... especially when I'm being extremely pressured by three hundred pounds of sheer muscles."

"I mean, in your circumstances I would do the same thing if I were you." He chuckled, giving her a light slap on the back, his hand lingering. "Big fuck off lion charging you with violence in his intentions? I'd shit myself." His chuckle continued into a laugh, "And tied for now? You ready to go another round so soon? I'll be more than happy to hand you your ass again if you're itchin for it."

The idea of her holding back on her kicks was...frightening, but given enough coaxing he would believe it.

Badump

He really appreciated Toko, she was one of the few people who could keep up with his sheer enthusiasm, strength, determination, and shit-talking. She was an excellent fighter, an excellent friend, and boy howdy did she know how to poke his buttons. To be fair, he knew how to poke back as well, and hearing her heat skip a beat every time he did something mildly flirtatious. Speaking of...

He would take his lingering hand and give her back a like rub before retracting it.

"Do you want to make this interesting? Wager something on the result of our bouts?"

"You...? Shit yourself? Pffft...!"

Toko snorted in response at Brutus' commentary, the conjured image her brain provided about such a possible scenario rather amusing for the Lepus—although she doubted such a thing was possible. It was then Brutus had slapped her back lightly, the motion causing Toko to straighten her spine just a little before she stuck her tongue out at him teasingly.

"What, is my precious gakseeh tired already~?" The words almost purred out of Toko's mouth, a teasing grin on her lips as she decided to poke some fun at Brutus. "Or is jiji afraid he'll pull another calf muscle~?"

She was a competitive creature, something that by now Brutus had no doubt picked up on, and as such the rabbit couldn't hold back from metaphorically prodding the sleeping lion with a stick. The kitten on her lap stirred, Tiger making himself comfortable, as he purred away like an adorable little fuzzy motor when Toko continued to caress the kitten's back softly. Slowly the Lepus had come to realize she truly enjoyed spending time with the lion sitting next to her; it didn't matter if they were going around helping the Landers, kicking some goblin and orc ass, or even simply chilling as they enjoyed the many new experiences TerraSphere 2 had to offer them... she always felt better when that time and experiences were shared with Brutus.

A warmth radiating from the Lepus' back made her aware of the lingering hand placed upon it, the weight of it causing the skin underneath her adventuring clothes to tingle in response. It was enough to have the rabbit lean just a couple of degrees closer towards Brutus, a contented purr softly echoing on her throat when the Felis gave her a light rub before finally removing his hand entirely... although whatever pout or protest Toko might have had was quickly forgotten as Brutus attempted to engage in a wager with Toko.

"Mmm... a wager, huh? Alright, what did you have in mind this time, Brutus-nii~?"

"Oh no, I'm not tired at all." He would rise to his feet, a cocksure grin plastered across his face. "I was just waiting for you to recover from that asskicking I just handed you." He would roll out his shoulders as he walked over into the clearing. He had no idea what he wanted to wager, honestly, he'd hoped she had something she was chomping at the bit to bet. Something about her teasing smirk made him want to wrestle her, to duel with her and establish some form of dominance.

"Hrrmm..." He would pause as he tapped his chin mischievously. "What should we bet eh?" He would turn affix his feline gaze over the Lepus, his eyes narrowing into slits. "First to three?" He would mull this over, "So we each need two wins left?" He would crack his neck. "What do you think a three win victory should celebrate hrmm?" He would waggle his eyebrow at her, the wind picked up causing the trees to rustle and the giant's hair to wave in the wind.

He could think of a litany of things he wanted to wager, but all of those were...a little forward for the moment at hand. Maybe if he was drunk, like back in the club.

"I mean, last time I got you to call me Senpai, what if...If I win you have to call me Sensei?"

"Mhmm... I'm not the one that sat down first to rest though." She would stand as well, carefully cradling the kitten in her arms before walking over to the spot where Crow rested. Tiger would be placed besides her, the Lepus allowing some of her primal aura to leak softly onto the two tiny felines, before she walked back to Brutus while stretching her arms. "... and I wouldn't really call that an ass kicking—not with how close it was~"

She nodded in confirmation, the initial number agree upon them indeed being the first to three won matches, before watching as Brutus pondered what a good wager would be. Mmm... what do I want if I win? Truth be told Toko honestly wasn't sure at the moment, all the Lepus was really focused on at the moment was one-upping the lion.

"Pffft, really? You want me to call you senseeh?" There was a playful roll of the rabbit's eyes, a soft chuckle escaping her before she shrugged her shoulders. "Fine, I'll even use it for a week.

Now what did she want... a thoughtful look came over the Lepus as she pondered her choices, wanting to find something that would actually work against the Brutus, before an idea popped in the back of her head. "Wakata. However, if I win... then you'll have to send me a picture of yourself—your real life self, just so we're clear~" A mischievous look crossed the rabbit's eyes, wondering if Brutus would actually bite the bullet and accept the wager out of pride or decline. Either way it felt like a win in Toko's book.

"Deal?"
