Every morning started and ended the same way, except today the amount of dogs she had to walk by had gone down to just four for the whole day. Something something all her clients from Miss Paty from Mr. Sanders twenty blocks away were all in vacation. Figures, as they all seem to share the same network and tend to travel in packs.

But that's the price of connections with the elders who all know eachother, go out with eachother, and recommend things to eachother. They all go out in groups.

Yet having her morning free left many alternatives which all seemed to pit back to more work. The prospect of having free time never clicked well, specially at 'work hours'. There is something about following schedules down to the letter, and a hole like this left her mind riddled with questions that would go unanswered, only for her to waste the morning away until something else occurred.

Not this time, however. Mia made her entrance back to her favourite restaurant (citation required, given she never actually came here at night). A hand grasped against her bossom. It felt awkward, like somehow she didn't belong here in the first place, but braving against her insecurities, Mia decided to order once again the usual capuccino with only one scrambled egg, figuring a second wouldn't do any harm to her diet. Not like Yara would notice either!

Fortunate for her, she had a cozy spot to drop herself right against the windows, closest to the bottom corners, where she could pull up her laptop and pull up old files upon photoshop, aswell as a mouse to replace the worn-out touchpad with. A glance across the room made her realize how lonely it would get around these hours, when most people already had their fair share of breakfast and left to work. A few heads here and there, some boy looking at her from across the restaurant that ended up flickering her gaze nerveously back to the screen, but nothing aside of the ordinary.

"Huh, maybe they have some WiFi I could plug into..." She whispered, taking a glance just to check if her order was ready or not, and to see if the one to deliver it looked open enough to questions

After the initial rush of the morning, Brian decided to take a moment out of the kitchen with a platter with orders of the remaining customers. There was only one waiter at that time, because even at rush hour of morning, it was far from being anywhere close to how crowded this place could get at night or after the usual work shift almost everyone had to go through.

His eyes were half-locked on his phone, pressing 'send' with a smirk before tucking the phone into his pocket, being confident that the cat pictures he took on his way to work were going to be the win against Aisling's this time.

Meanwhile, by the corner of his sight, the figure of that familiar stranger girl caught his attention.

It never failed. It was always at that time he took a mini break from the kitchen to pretend he was a waiter that cosplayed as a chef. Always there, in the same way... and so, he decided to do his typical approach, after he had delivered everyone else's orders.

"Hello there, buddy." He greeted, as usual very casual despite referring to a customer. "I hope you are having a good morning, because it is about to get even better~" Brian said, taking the plate with scrambed eggs to gently place them on table, looking unusually fancy this time around. Perhaps it was because of the seasoning, with a bit of greenies and reds sparkled on it that make it a bit more colorful.

Then, it was followed by another plate with a cappuccino that was accompanied by two butter biscuits.

As if she had a heater tied up to her chest, an instantaneous sense of warmth crossed all over her body as she noticed a blurry figure at the corner of her vision approach, making her hand slip a little and draw way past the preset lines, a mistake she corrected with a simple combination of buttons to undo the flaw on the layer she was working on.

Playing pretend didn't save her, as this figure got close enough, ready to address her with words and eyes, but like a character in a movie about dinosaurs, she stood completely still in order to let the danger go away-- Futile attempt, this tall slenderman spoke and caught a little yelp out of her lips as her attention snapped back to him.

Wait... Buddy?

"H-hey, Buddy." She replied, leaving a sigh of relief once she noticed the chef slash waiter showing up. Before she could even think about how to follow-up, her chef presented her breakfast right infront of her. Simplistic design didn't dither her reaction at all, as Mia's quiet expression turned into a cheerful smile out of a sudden. "OH!-" Just now it clicked, this is her order.

"Thanks, Buddy... Uhm, sorry I'm so so sorry I forgot if we already told eachother our names or if I-" She swallowed, shooking her head for a moment and instead taking a hold from her laptop, turning it slowly towards him. "Do you know the wiFI password?" She hesitated to ask, her face turning red as her drawings were all there for him to see, mainly of a set of swords and scabbards, sketches and reference sheets that were on different layers, aswell as a second page with what seemed to be poses and sketches of a far more humanoid figure. "It's so empty around here by the way, is it always like this when I leave?" She tried to make conversation, hastely pushing her mouse around to minimize each tab to leave just the wallpaper of her computer, which was Incredibly amusing so to speak.

Brian couldn't help but grin when being called a 'buddy', it did make him feel funny by being called that... In a good way... The sudden realization of the girl that her order was with her now made him chuckle, and he looked around to see that every customer seemed to be served by now, allowing him to give her a bit more of attention than the usual.

"You are welcome, and well... I don't remember your name, so I don't think so."
Brian responded, tapping the tag on his uniform. "My name's over here tho. Brian Futaba." He smiled, rubbing his chin as she questioned about the WiFi password.

"The password is simple, it is just 'have a good meal' in leet. Let me write it up for ya..." He tugged a small notebook from his pocket, writing it up and then raising an eyebrow at her question. "Nah. It is just that it is much busier earlier or at night. More on the latter though. The time you come is a bit unpopular, but hey, at least you have most of the restaurant all to yourself..." Brian explained, ripping the notebook page off and handing it to her, with his eyes catching a glance of the wallpaper that brought a small brim to his eyes.

"Hey, what a cute wallpaper-! Is that a pug laying on its paw?" He couldn't suppress a laugh, pointing at it.

It was almost cathartic to hear him say that, yet that lasted little as she bit her cheek the moment he begun to tap away at his uniform to prove his name was on plain sight this whole time. "I... Yeah that's very obvious, I didn't pay attention at all, I'm sorry." She cleared her throat before she could make it a bigger deal than it is, giving herself a second to read over his tag again. "I'm Mia Cross. Pleasure to meet you, Brian!" Cue the employee smile that faded as soon as he revealed the wiFI password.

"That's so old!" She giggled, a hand resting on her lips to keep it quiet despite being quiet enough already. Who used leet in the first place after about thirty decades or so? Regardless, she turned over her laptop to face her again and begun to type it out, with brief looks given over to the ripped page. "I don't know about night time, but the breakfast is great her. I dunno why it's not more popular at this time." She adjusted her glasses, smiling lightly at the reminder of the peace and quiet that came with little customers around here, and Brian's own note about that. "Yea you are right. It's nice when it's quiet. I can't handle the stress with so much people in one room." She admitted, her hand quickly sliding over to lift up her photoshop tabs once again, only to quickly backpedal at his laughter.

"Yes! These are my babies." She replied like a proud mom would, full of joy and love for every single one of her kids present. "Well they have owners but they all usually play together and I'm the one taking care of them on weekdays. The pug is called Ricky. I photoshopped him a bit to get him like that. He was mostly laying on his back that day, the lazy bun ate too much. Gosh it took me so long to get them all together, but it was so worth it." Her voice picked up with excitement and a glitter in her eyes let Brian know so if that didn't already. "Oh! Do you have any maybe? I would love to see them- Ah but I like all pets, so I'm not just a dog person don't worry." It would be silly for a future veterinarian to have favoritism for one type of pet and not the others.

Brian rose an eyebrow. "No need to apologize about that-" He shrugged, with a friendly grin growing on his lips when she introduced herself. "Mia Cross huh? That's a nice name. It is a pleasure to meet'cha!" Brian reciprocated.

When Mia giggled about thw leet, he made a jestful expression while leaning in to whisper- "Honestly? The owner of this place is just a boomer trying to fit in-" He leaned away. "I can't judge him though, he is a very nice guy." Brian added, with a honest nod. That guy did give him some nice opportunities too, so he would've always be grateful for him.

His attention then returned to her as she revealed being stressed around many people, which made sense for Brian, who already considered her to look like a shy type, always on her own and by a corner near a window.

"Honestly, this time is perfect for you then. Maybe I should even reserve a spot for you at this time." Brian pondered, then peeking at the screen again, filled with lovely dogs-- But what truly caught his attention was how that cute timid girl that was always on her own when coming to this place was beaming like a sunshine when talking about those dogs.

It almost made it feel her saying she wasn't a dog person was a lie, but maybe she just loved animals in general. "Ricky looks like a chill guy, I like him already... So you take care of all of them? That's impressive." Brian rubbed his chin, then blinking at the question.

"Ah, me? Unfortunately I don't have any... I am busy here, busy when I get home, maybe I wouldn't have time for one... Not even a cat, that is more independent. I can't just leave a lonely pet at home, right?" He shrugged, slightly dejected about it, but Terrasphere and work consumed too much time, if he wanted to have time to rest and socialize, that is.

"N-noted!" Mia replied, and just in case she opened a notepad to write that down, like a sticky note to have in her pc, among the rest of the reminders she had written for herself, interrupted only when Brian closed up the distance to whisper.

To most people she would have leaned away, but something about this waiter chef made her feel comfortable, enough to lean an ear to what he had to say, and to her surprise it turned out to be about the owner of the restaurant and his boomer'ish tendencies. She had to cover her lips to turn her laughter into a mere giggle. "Gosh, the rumours are true..? But I can't judge him either, this restaurant is cool. Boomer or not- Wait, calling it cool doesn't make me a boomer, right?" Her confidence quickly died with that, like a roller coaster going down.

"REALL- Really?" Only to go back up once Brian offered to make a reservation for her, almost jumping from her seat. "Is this one I'm at available? Can I keep this one forever? I'll pay even." She was quick to make an offer of her own. It's not like the cozy and little spot wasn't worth the price. Following his gaze however made her realize where he's been looking at, peering over to her own wallpaper.

"Aaall of them and more. But not always. Sometimes like, the owners take vacations or stuff and ask me to take care of them for weeks. I bath them, play with them, feed them and walk them out." She replied, counting each activity with her fingers. "I even- Wait, you said you don't have any..?" Her lips parted with worry. Brian was petless, and that was concerning on it's own, given the love a pet can give to their owner cannot be priced! "I mean, if you want you could have one and I could take care of them too while you ain't at home..."

"People still call it a rumor? It is the blatant truth." Brian chuckled mischievously, raising an eyebrow at Mia's logic that nearly made him go for another fit of laughter, but he managed to control it. "It doesn't, don't worry. The restaurant isn't a boomer, just the owner." He shrugged. "Besides, ya are too young for a boomer." Brian remarked.

Brian's eyes nearly opened widely when the voice of the girl seemed to raise to a level he never expected it could, even if it was cut short immediately, like someone raising the volume of a phone too high and clumsly lowering it when it rings out of the blue.

His smile was soft. "Of course. This restaurant will never get full at this time, so I will get it permanently reserved to you, with no pressure of you actually coming. Only at this time of the day though." He pointed out.

"We do have a reserve system, it is mostly used for the dinner time though." Brian shrugged before pausing to listen to the many tasks Mia had at hand for her work. To take care of so many pets of someone else, and do it with ease, it was probably so laborious.

"That sounds like a lot of work, buddy-" He frowned, then pondered about her offer. "For real? You would do that for me?" Brian grinned. "Well... I could think on having a pet then. Do you only take care of dogs?" He asked.

"You gonna make him cry if he hears you!" She chastised him, but she knew it wouldn't work too well with her giggling uncontrollably, only to stop when given the reassurance she does not qualify for a boomer at all, and the restaurant itself doesn't either, resting a hand atop her bossom. "Maybe if I was twenty or so years older. But people call others boomers just for the sake of it." She waved in dismissal.

There was a double edge to his offer that put her too at it, a small clause that got her to pause and reconsider: she couldn't miss a single day, a single morning, or this would mean she loses the reserve. "I just need to be here for breakfast, yeah?" She sheepishly asked, furrowing her brows and giving him a far more assertive nod this time around. "I will, I won't miss it. I always come here for breakfast too." That worked, both to convince herself and to try and do the same for Brian.

"It is a lot of wo-Yes!" She suddently exclaimed once her chef-waiter thought twice about it, but no sign of backing off, which proved to be a good sign in her eyes. "I can take care of any animal you have. Dogs, cats. I even took care of turtles before." She replied, her voice having reached highway speed limits and surpassed them, excitement bubbling out of her tone as she begun to click away at her laptop's tabs, closing them all if only to pay full attention to him now.

"If it's a cat, we'll have to work on our schedule. I can take care of them on the evenings if so, moreso now that I don't have as many clients because of vacations and stuff. I can simply have them at my apartment though!" She reassured. "Any idea what you want for a pet? I can recommend you a few places if you'd like. There's plenty of shelters with a fluffer waiting for you to adopt them."

At the suggestion of the owner crying about it, Brian couldn't help but have a flash of mental image on the situation, that was both comical and terrifying. "He is a tough guy. He can handle it." Brian laughed it off, handwaving and pondering. "You are right though, it almost became like a mockery." Even if it was a normal word, by now it felt like rather degoratory. That didn't make Brian feel bad, however, as he knew he was just being playful about it.

Brian tilted his head at the potential missunderstanding that was going on, and he shook his head. "Haha, you don't need to come every single day. Like I said, no pressure on coming..." He said, then smiled a bit. "Not that I would mind seeing you everyday." Brian said with a wink, then adding- "But well, I only really work here on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays... Though, I do like visiting here one time or another... This is a bit of my favorite place." He nodded.

It was surprising to hear about the variety of animals Mia could take care of, blinking when looking to see her closing everything and feeling mildly flattered at the now full attention.

He heard about the conditions, and was certainly surprised at the fact cats needed some sort of special treatment. "Honestly... A dog or a cat would both work. I can't think of any other different animal for now, I'm sure any other than that is probably even more work." He said, tapping his feet while pondering. "Leaving it at your apartment though... That would depend... Which of the two do you think that wouldn't get too much on your way? I mean... I'm not sure for how long I will be able to count on you for taking care of them either." Brian said, being a bit more realistic for once.

A more cheerful grin covered his lips, however. "I would like you to tell me about a place though, or to show me, if you want... And that isn't shady, of course." The last part was more of a joke, though it had a hint of seriousness.

"We are not mocking him so we are fine." She waved both of her hands, shooking her head off along to support her point. At least she assumed that they were just being a bit playful, even if edging the line of mockery real close now that Brian made mention of it, and that's the last thing she wanted to do. Maybe that's what happened with people at highschool? They just took it too far with her by accident..?

When he repeated himself, it stopped feeling like an obligation, but everything changed with that suggestive wink and the fact he wouldn't be bothered by her presence at all... Which meant she had to absolutely make sure to come everyday since he clearly liked it.

"Don't worry, I'll be here every work day you have, I promise." She reassured him with a smile, resting her elbows against the table. "And well uhm. If you are around and ain't working, you can always come have breakfast with me. Maybe if you would like--And have the time, and patience, and all-- You could tag along and meet Ricky!" A little incentive for him, her eyes darting over the table, blinking in shock as she noticed her meal has been sitting there for a while now, and quickly begun to chug down her cappuccino before it could get any colder.

Her lips pursed; Yup, It was still pretty hot, she had to give Brian credit for burning her tongue just like that. "A-ah." Her voice squirmed to the sting of her coffee, a gasp bringing over some desired cool air into her mouth. "A-a dog would be easier. I usually pick everyone up after breakfast, so if you brought them over to the restaurant I could always pick them up here. Else, I have a golden retriever at home, so any pet you bring over will have a big yellow ball of fur to play with." She spoke as her cheeks turned red by now, as if she had picked up a fever or something in-between sips.

Her eyes returned back to the laptop once he asked to know more, and while opening her browser he could find her tapping at about five different favourite tabs she had, all of them related to adoption centers for animals, and at least one online store to get in contact with breeders to get any kind of dog race he could think of.

"You can call them if you'd like, they got phone numbers and everything. But it's best if we go there and check out to see if you want to pick up any of the fluffy kids. It's a pretty adorable place, they got a lot of grass to play at and keep them separated in groups between small ones and big ones." Would it be weird to add she also visits just to watch the dogs play..? "But, what are you looking for in a dog if that's the pet you want?"

Brian nodded with a grin, being certain they weren't mocking his boss, but rather just being jestful about him.

He didn't expect Mia to double down when he tried to reassure her there was no pressure, with a promise of coming every day he worked and an invitation too. Brian felt slightly sheepish about it, but he smiled in approval regardless.

"That would be great. Sure, we can have a breakfast together. It seems like my mornings are about to get more fun." Brian nodded, casting a brief glance around, just to confirm no one else needed him before he gestured to the chair in a quiet request to take a seat before doing it, if Mia accepted. "Tagging along also sounds fun, and I get to meet Ricky too? It just gets better." Brian chirped while his eyes darted around at full speed to try to keep up with all the clicking Mia did.

Thankfully it seemed that a bit of awareness he had in Terrasphere was leaking into his real self. But he still has no idea how she could surf in the internet so quickly.

"That looks like a nice place... At least they are being treated well while no one gets them." Brian rubbed his chin, pondering for a moment about Mia's question, tapping his feet and crossing his arms as he looked like conflicted. "Probably not a giant dog or anything. More uh... to affectionate type? A friendly buddy, rather than a watch or hunting dog or anything like that." He said, wondering if that made any sense.

Mia's cheerful smile grew twice it's size. Not just to nod once he gestured over to the chair, but with how open Brian was about their meetings (and future meetings?) being something fun in the first place. Did anyone other than her little group and Yara ever said that to her in the first place? Try as she might, memory didnt cooperate with her. "I gotta apologize for tomorrow because I'm the type who wakes up through the morning, so like, if I'm not that chatty at that time, just wait until the coffee kicks in." Shy and honesty went hand-to-hand with these words, point finger scratching at her forehead as a nerveous habit she couldn't get rid of, aware or not of it.

"It is a -great- place. All of these are, that's why I recommend them." She chirped right as he commented about them, an elbow resting over the table while her left hand kept in touch with the mouse, tapping endlessly against the little wheel. The thoughtful stance Brian took made her adopt one of her own once his question came out, as if they had to switch the 'we are thinking' mode. Not a big dog, not a watch or hunt dog, but a friendly buddy.

"Oh! I got it!" Her eyes lit up like lightbulbs, hands tapping away at the keyboard as she opened a new tab, this time on google, and images specifically. "How about a dachshund? I know the translation has 'hound' on it, but this is a cute and friendly buddy dog. You probably know it by a different name." She left that thought hanging, as images were better than words could to describe it:

A sausage boye!

Brian chuckled at the apology, pondering for a moment. "Tomorrow, huh... I think tomorrow I should be free to come here. It has been a bit since I've had a breakfast here... Well, a breakfast that didn't follow up with me having to work, that is." He smirked, rubbing his chin and then shrugging. "I mean, if you aren't talkative at the time, we can just chill too, so don't worry too much about that." There were times that friends didn't have much to talk about, so just staying together was already satisfactory enough, at least for Brian.

Their shared 'thinking' mode lasted only for a bit, with Brian's mind rushing with several small dogs breeds flashing on the most stereotypical representation of them before Mia sparkled once again, making Brian blink and turn to look at her with crossed arms.

"You got it?" He asked, curious to know what she had in mind, and when she said dachshund Brian couldn't help but tilt his head. As shameful as it was, he didn't know that name was the actual name of the 'sausage dog', which only caused a bigger surprise on him when he saw the picture.

"Oh, wow! These guys? They are really cute!" Brian grinned, leaning closer to the screen- "I really knew them from a different name... Because with 'dachshund', for a moment I thought you were trying to get me a Cerberus or something." A sheepish laugh escaped his lips as he leaned away from the screen, scratching the back of his head.

"That looks like a good guy. So that's one in the list of possible little buddies." Brian nodded.

Mia shrunk her shoulders as he chuckled, hopefully not at her but -with her-. Two worries shot down with one stone, credit for Brian in that regard, as he proved not to be the type to need an engaging conversation. She kept a grateful smile locked inside, leaving a faint one out inastead as she nodded. "Tomorrow sounds perfect. Oh, make sure not to wear anything expensive or new. I mean, things will get hairy. All of them shred hair like you wouldn't believe, it's hard not to get it all over your clothes." She chuckled. By now having given up on that.

"Mhm!" His question got a nod beforehand, and it's when she turned her laptop towards him that everything made sense on his face, at least the big surprise and grin on his face proved as much. Everyone knew of them, of cou-

A hearty laughter couldn't be held back no matter how hard she tried. The name certainly was scarier than 'sausage dog' but the fact he thought of a Cerberus of all things had her sides hurting. "Gods I can't..." She spoke between giggles, having lost her breath and keeping her lips muffled behind a hand, with joyful tears running down her eyes.

"Okay... Okay." She had to tell herself, hands flickering away the tears from her cheeks as she recovered composure soon after. "Alright, now I can tell what kind of dog you are after. I'll be honest, there's plenty small breeds, but my sixth sense says that you would go after a Terrier. What terrier though, not sure, there's a lot of breeds." Just googling 'terrier' on google had a list out of different breeds, and all looking remarkably different from one another.

Brian smirked at Mia's disclaimer to not wear anything fancy for the adoption, shrugging slightly. "Don'tcha worry, last thing I would want is to get my best clothes lost by fur." He said. Besides, there was no reason for him to get overly dressed for a visit to a possible adoption... If it would actually happen, of course. "Probably that also means I should get one that won't shred that much." Brian considered, even though he expected that such a thing would be hard to find, considering dogs had so much fur on them.

Mia's laughter made Brian slip a bit of a chuckle himself, feeling that her reaction was a bit contagious. "Hey buddy, don't die on me." He joked a bit, happy to see that Mia had so much humor despite the nature that he saw on her quiet behavior before there was finally some conversation sparkling between them.

As she calmed down and the topic returned, he nodded at her 'sixth sense'. "A terrier... They are cute, at least the few ones that come through my mind when I remember them." He tapped a finger on his head for emphasis, with his eyes trailing and scaning the results of Mia's search on Google.

"There are a lot of cute options... But you know..." Brian looked at Mia. "At the end of the day, I think I will only be able to choose when I actually have it near me. I guess that connection need... To just happen." He crossed his arms.

"I may find one of them cuter than the other, but I know my choice won't be narrowed down to only that." At least, judging how things happened with him so far.

Mia giggled, if only because of how certain he seemed about his contingency plans seemed, but she felt entitled not to reveal a super secret fact: that none of that would work at the end of the day. Because one way or another, fur always found it's way into her clothes, so what would save him from a similar fate to hers? "That's an idea, yeap!" She giggled. Not so good at hiding away her enthusiasm. In this case, both to see Brian undergo the journey of animal care and the realization of how fruitless his endeavours against fur would be.

That didn't pay off well for her given her sides were punished with infinite laughter pain, and his little jest came just in time to almost make her resume it, but Mia reached her limit, getting only a wave out for Brian to say 'yes, i'm still alive no worries!'.

It was good to know her sixth sense didn't fail her here, given he had peeked at terriers before. "Seems like I was right. Sixth sense never fails." She smiled, growing a bit of confidence that helped her straighten her hunched posture. "Although, It's good to know you ain't looking just for a cute pet." She smiled, perhaps wider than ever since this morning, turning the laptop back to herself as she felt that joy die off a little, falling back to seriousness. "I would love to be there to help you out. Not to pick obviously, but I'll show you all the good boys and girls I can." She reassured, closing her laptop before resting both elbows over the table, arms crossed.

"You can count on me to take care of them, that's for sure. The ones I take care of are all a playful bunch. Almost like a pack of their own. They gonna love to have a new kid to play with."

With the 'confirmation' of his idea being good, Brian felt ready to go at any moment- But of course, he would need to work on his patience to wait until the next day before he could put his plans at work. He showed Mia a small smirk when she reassured she was fine, despite the laughing breakout.

"It really didn't fail. But yeah, I'm sure your intention isn't to choose what I want as a pet." Brian nodded, being sure, at least from Mia's behavior so far, that she was far from being tactless. Perhaps a bit social awkward at first, but now that she was open, she spoke smoothly like no one else.

"I will be trusting on your sixth sense on helping me to find what I want though." Brian smirked. "Along with a good new kid for your pack." He jested, watching her close her laptop, and getting ready to step away himself.

"Say, do you have a pet of your own?" He asked, curious as he tugged his chair away so he could stand, leaving the question lingering before he actually moved away.

"Never!" She exclaimed, holding a hand to her lips, exasperation turned to an apology in the lapse of five seconds only. "Sorry. I wouldn't be that rude to pick for you. Choosing a pet is choosing a life partner. People can't just choose it for you." She frowned a little. Because, despite of that, people still did it for others, but not everyone could adapt to her whims. Besides... They all had good intentions, at the end of the day.

brian's jokes were enough to snap her out of the bitter taste she left all by herself, a smile anticipating her joyful comeback. "I'll have your baby, don't worry. I'm a good mom. But it's still gonna be yours so... Do make sure to give them all the love they deserve!" She waged a finger at him, just like her mama used to do to her when this first lesson was taught. Pets 101.

The shock from his question followed up with a squint back at him, quickly grasping her laptop and standing back up to tag along with him. "I... I told you." She paused, if only to look back into her smooth brain and it's memories. Yes, she did spoke of Dan already, or mentioned him at least... "I have a golden retriever. Dan's his name. As big as a table and still actin' like a pup. I did mention him earlier."

Brian looked at the exclaiming figure, letting out a brief laugh and handwaving in a reassuring gesture, trying to let Mia know her reaction was fine. "A life partner, huh..." He paused, nodding while looking at her. "You aren't wrong, even if they won't stay with you for your whole life, it is for their whole life..." Brian said, then smiled a bit.

"Besides, they are unforgettable." In a way or another, they would change your life in very unexpected ways.

He couldn't help but chuckle at the way she behaved right after, with all the gestures she brought out as if she was giving him a lesson, in which he responded by raising his arms in a 'surrendering' gesture. "Yes ma'am, I'm gonna give all the love I can to the pup, I got it." He nodded, crossing his chest with a finger in a sign that he swore it.

Going back to the counter, he nodded, resting his elbows on it.

"Oh right, you did mention him. My bad." He smirked. "I did read that the big dogs are usually the more... Uh... Gentle-giant like? I'm not sure how to explain it."
