"Unless they're more talented than I am in healing...these wounds may be an on-going problem. I already poured everything I had into Rael, and...that..."

A waved hand at the still flowing wound leaking from Rael's body.

"We'll...just have to managed, if the camp really is under attack, then the medics will be busy with other people anyways. We should focus on...defences...or whatever it is you do during an attack. I think the more serious concern is...the attack."

"The attack is important, but I really don't want anyone dying, from a machine or from bleeding out on the battlefield."

Ash looks doubtfully at both Kyra and Rael's wounds.

"They don't have to be more talented at healing... just have to have a different understanding. The difference between a GP and a specialist, you know?

Of course, I can't force you to go. But I think "preventative" now will prevent "emergency" later."

There was a frown on her face as she saw the messages pass through their team chat, elven eyes focused on Meri and her facial features even as the blonde tried to get a better read on the Faerin. A part of her speech stuck out the most for the ranger, her eyes glancing once more towards her changed status at the corner of the screen.

"You want to look for Sven then," She crouched while speaking, attempting to remain at eye level witht he much smaller Faerin. "But you're worried about the unchanged Marked status on you, right Meri?"

She allowed the Faerin a moment to reply before continuing. "My status already changed, so I'm not a liability for that asscricket to jump through... not for another hundred and something minutes at least." She'd already done her own damage, had it not been for her own impulsive decisions then Sven might've not gotten caught up in all of this... and Meri wouldn't be in the verge of tears right now.

"Besides we have no way of knowing if he's been attacked again in a UI Locked state. If Vern really got to him the way he did to Rael... well, he might need someone to aid him too."

"You may be right on that...it could definitely be a dangerous situation. But do we have time to do such a thing? How far out is the assault...?"

Her ears twitched as she glanced again at Rael. Ash's words weren't wrong - they could be a liability.

"Besides...do we all go to the medical tent together to get checked out, do we split and Rael and I head over there? It's dangerous not to have us on the defence line, if we're all going. That's at least two Starcalled pulled away. Which in the end could be no difference, or all the difference in the world..."

Her tail twitched once in a sign of agitation.

"...at the same time, I also don't like the idea of you two running off by yourself without our support..."

Ash watched as Luthien tried to calm Meri down. She couldn't blame her for being so overwhelmed... even if Sven was still "around", a virtual echo just wasn't the same as flesh and blood.

"At the very least, if you two go, you should go with some of the Lions. They probably have way more practice with this sort of thing, and you'll have safety in numbers if he decides to jump to Meri."

Ash glanced back at Kyra.

"You and Rael are on cooldown... I'm not, but I'd also be a one-way trip if I went on my own. If I stay around other people, then Vern won't be able to get away easily.

He didn't necessarily like the idea of going on his own, but he could make it work.

"...just because you go to the medic tent doesn't mean you have to stick around. At the very least we can make sure it won't get worse."

Slowly but surely it looked like the team had finally settled on a decision, the blonde giving a small nod to the others before her attention turned back to Meri once more. "Meri, I need you to tell me what placed Sven would normally be at... you know him the best out of everyone here." There was a pause as the elf did her best to remember the interactions she had with the man, before a thought in particular crossed her mind.

"... the side project. Would he be there, Meri?"

Two miles south from the mess tent where she'd first come across the man, and if memory served her well she was sure the researcher had mentioned something about a secret latch... and with that a combination of numbers—Right, that stupid PIN: Six-Four-One-Four...—that he had claimed was the key. At the time she had thought it idiotic that the man had offered so much information freely without prompting... who would've thought it would become useful?

"... I think I know where to start searching for him."

Rael's arm wrapped itself around Meri's shoulders at the sight of the tears that had begun to form, bringing the faerin girl closer so the elf could place her chin atop her head. Be there for the one who needed it most, no matter the little time they had known each other for.

And she can't muster the strength to say things will be alright, because uncertainty rears its ugly head and she is not so sure she believes it anymore.

Why... Why are the two of you leaving?
I don't... I don't think that is a good idea, like Kyra said. It'd be easier for all of us to care for one another, prepare and keep each other safe, if we stuck together.

Hanno offered a grin and a thumb up for @Ash Vargold and @Rael. "No problem, buddy." He said. "I still think the situation is weird, but I don't think you would lie to me-" Hanno then crossed his arms.

"Besides, if that was a lie, it is one of the least believables lies ever. Magitech eggs? I mean, what the hell?" Hanno laughed, rubbing his chin and peering at the saddened faerin, having a concerned expression on his face.
