Honestly she shouldn't have been surprised when the Faerin refused to log out, a faint sigh escaping her lips before Lúthien squeezed Meriam's hands tightly.

"Alright, tiem to figure out how to get out of here then..."

Her hands moved to the UI, typing out a quick message to Ash.

No dice, Meri doesn't wanna leave until we know what's going on with Sven... and I'm not leaving her alone here. We're gonna try and sneak out of the resting tents... though it'd be easier if we knew what's going on outside, Ash.​

Kyra's ears twitched as she read through the collection of letters that had suddenly appeared beside her. Her attention now on the postal parchments, they had appeared all at once, giving the vulpine girl a few moments to look through them and catch up on what had been going on. Placing them aside for the moment, she looked up and over at @Rael, a confused look on her face.

"Who is Sven, and why are they UI-locked now? Did someone kill them? Do you think they died in the camp?"

Before Rael could answer, Kyra pulled out a parchment and pen of her own, scribbling a quick message before sending it off in response.

Been having a lovely time in jail, just catching up on all these messages.

Who's Sven? Why are they UI-Locked? Did someone do something? Also, can someone please bring a cookie or something, starting to get hungry.

Oh! Met an awesome crazy lady who may and/or may not know that the commander is a traitor. But she likes bombs. Don't turn your back on her.

Rael's mouth hung open as she stared at Kyra. No wonder she had been thrown in jail... Crazy attracted crazy.

Ahem. Kyra has been imprisoned for... Apparently starting a ruckus about the Commander being a traitor. I'm allowed to keep her company, which I have been. But she's the one behind bars, I don't know where they've taken her possessions.

A sigh escaped the elf before she looked over at the Faerin besides her. "Let's try and stay close to one another, okay?" She stood up straight then, her hands flickering over the air as Lúthien pulled out her violin from the UI inventory. The instrument softly landed on her hands, before the elf undid the security clasps and allowed it to transform into its bow form as the riser gave a satisfying click! sound.

The blonde hoped that violence wouldn't be needed... but given the circumstances she was sure it couldn't be ruled out either. If Ash came for them and got in trouble then she'd do her best to help the man out.

...I'd rather not have all of you behind bars. We don't know if the Lions here have been hired under Commander Norn or if they still follow their own order. The one here with us informs us people from the Factions have been hired before by him with hidden purposes.

There is still an attack at dawn, waiting to happen. You will have to choose which battle you wish to fight: that against the people you will try to protect, against the Magitech, or against both.

Don't let that choice be taken away from you, or you will be a bystander watching it all go up in flames, unable to act.

the camp will find out about svans soon enough. hard to hide a murder when the victim can talk about it

at least we can try to get people making sure he gets back safe

if they put us in a tent and an attack comes, we break out and help. they'll be a little busy

She'd been humming to herself, reading the parchment papers that kept appearing along side her, before finally deciding to reply.

Dear Team;

It wouldn't be a good idea to get caught and held and unable to help if there is an assault coming. Then we would essentially be useless. That being said, I'm already behind bars, so maybe I can raise the whole concern about whether or not there's a traitor in the midst. Not that I can roam the alleys of the encampment shouting to the sky, but perhaps I can find a way to speak to someone of worth from this comfy position. Or worst comes to absolute worst, I can just...leave.

That aside, I think that it would be beneficial for at least one or two of us to remain outside of bars, so that they can break us out as required. Or help with defending the camp. Or both? Both would be good. Whatever happens, we need to make sure we're ready for all possible situations. Not that I need to tell you all that.

So, how about Ash and Luthy stay out of jail, and Rael and I start a bit of a ruckus, bringing into question this whole traitor thing. That way, if things go south, they can't say we didn't tell them so? But at the same time, the two of you (Ash and Luthy!), are still free to help us later should things go...bad.

anyway, i'm almost back. luth and meri, if you hear trouble, don't engage. you have the strongest alibi, and meri's the one that knows svans the most. i'm not resisting if they decide to drag me somewhere. won't help anyone to kick up a fuss.

Her palm menu remained open even after the attack, the screen flickering with messages coming in, the sudden influx now tinged red with the blood thar spilled from her wounds.

Ash sniffs - there is blood on the woman who just sent off the other guards.

"...you're hurt. Did someone attack you?"

And then Rael's message comes in, and her location. Something's wrong.

The messenger woman with the blood trickling down her hand turned around to meet @Ash Vargold investigative eyes and responded. "The battle's already started at the Commander's stand, are you coming? We're going to need reinforcement if Levi showed up..."

 

[Luthien]

Ash mentioned blood as he turned to look at the messenger woman, though there was little time to worry about them as a loud sound suddenly popped from another part of the camp. It caused Lúthien to flinch, her acute hearing ringing slightly in response, before a wave of utter fear flooded her elven mind. Had the blonde had anything in her stomach she would've probably hurled the contents out, her gaze nwo turning towards Meriam as she watched the Faerin shaking like a leaf.

"Hey, Meri, shhh... come on Meri, look at me. Focus on me." Her hand that was holding Meri's own squeezed down tightly as the elf tried to provide some comfort, Lúthien kneeling in front of the Comms Operator as she spoke in the hopes of catching her attention. "Meri, what do you want to do?"

She could see the team chat popping once more, Rael's message concerning as the elf also sent her physical location, but for a moment the blonde pushed it aside as she focused on the little Faerin.

She hadn't answered his question.

Unfortunately, his thoughts were occupied by the explosion, and by Rael's highly worrying message. The location was on the way, so maybe there was a chance to figure some more out...

"Levi, huh... Not a fan of letting the camp fall into chaos, myself. But I have to check on a friend. I think she's in trouble, and it's on the way."

"Luthien, Meri, let's try to stick together, alright? If things get too much, we'll back off together too."

Despite being in love with Sven, there was something else going on in the camp and the deafening explosion in the distance, there was something much bigger than her. While she was worried sick about the brilliant boy, she would just have to trust that he was alive somewhere. Her focus and loyalty lie with @Luthien @Ash Vargold @Rael and @Kyra Vashtana now. She slapped herself with both hands before yelping in pain since the facial wound was still aching.

She turned to Luthien, "Let's go figure all of this out. I'm with you guys."

And to Ash, she nodded as she held firmly onto her staff. "Okay. Together. Let's go meet up with the others. I'm going to start messaging around to get better insight on the situation in camp, cover for me while I type."

As she clicked the button to send the message away to the recipient of her gratitude, Rael came to stand beside the Faerin whom she had dragged into this mess, a complicated expression upon her features as she gently brushed a hand to the girl's shoulders.

Meriam appeared smaller and less energetic than she was yesterday. It's been a long night and when she checked her rest meter, it was as low as it can be. When she looked up at Rael and got the notification.

I know it's just a game and someone like Levi would scold me for it, but bveryones in trouble and the camp is being sieged, I can't just log out now.

And... I may be just complaining now, but it's so frustrating. I feel like my heart is going to explode. My Marked status still hasn't changed so Vern could show up at any time. I can't go and look for him even if I want to do nothing but.

He's smart though, I truly believe that he'll be able to get to safety.

Her face scrunched up as tears began to form. The fact that she'll never be able to meet him in real life had not set in until that point and served as a stark reminder that they were, in fact, playing a death game.

"...I knew Levi was the leader of the Lions, but I never really grokked that until now. I am. Very glad we don't have to fight that.

And there goes that tail wagging, whether Ash wants it to or not.

"As much as I want to go chase after Vern... if he's smart, he's ditched the camp already. If he isn't... well, this place is crawling with Lions."

"Rael, Kyra, we should find someone who can look at those wounds. If we're lucky, there's a medic who can figure it out, or at least do better than me at stemming the bleeding."
