Cycle 3




The several-story tall platform scurried like a spider towards the war of man vs machine. By now what lay behind the magia songstress, XS-EVE was more than apparent.

Swords.

Swords of obsidian steel and surges of energy channelling through them. Flying blades as numerous, no... far more numerous than the waves of Sentries that filled the air in Vintergard.

A great storm of literal edge to clip the wings of hope.

The hymn may have come to an end, but the clashing of magic and steel filled the battlefield together with warcries, panic, and the whizz and whirl of machines being torn apart as ruthlessly as they did themselves. That in essence was a harmonic chime that resonated with the silver magia's sensors.

Saviors?
Unclear.

She registered their personalities, their feelings, through the music earlier and the sounds of war now. They were certainly not God. They were not her priority anymore. the multiple directives within her clashed, and one screamed loudly through the distorted buzzing of code within.

Useless.

She rose hand's in a sweeping motion until they touched over her head. The swords twirled and adjusted to point toward the battlefield. She lowered her arms, and the blades launched like missiles into the fray.

BOOM!!!!

The platform beneath XS-EVE suddenly buckled. It then toppled as her pointed feet landed upon it and glided down to leap off onto the rocky earth. Checking back over her shoulder would indicate what she picked up already. The platform had lost several of its legs from a sudden attack.

God?

The magia turned and headed towards the west where the energy source of the attacks had come from. One may find the metallic tendrils of steel upon her carefully configured design an oddity. Considering the discoveries made by other parties.

Perhaps eventually it would make sense after all.

The swarm of blades would wash over the center of the battlefield like a high tide. Tearing streams of cosmic distortion in the fabric of reality, thankfully that closed as quickly as they opened. One could not say the same for the wounds upon your flesh if you were left in the mass truncation of resistance

After the massive attack, the Magia disappeared from view.

As if on cue, the rest of the magia raid resumed.

The stars themselves will answer the magia's call...

As the heat of the battle died down for just a moment, four shadows garnered far up above the very skies. Growing larger and larger until it became clear that these Unidentified Fantastic Objects were going to crash into the very battlefield they were standing on!

CRASH A dark, large, metallic rod stuck struck deep into the earth.
BOOM It's slick design so similar, yet unique to the rest of the War Machina.
KASHOOW Without missing a beat, each pylon shot out multiple support beams surrounding it.
CRACK A faint glowing orb lit up at the very top.

Without missing a beat, each of the pylons shot out a tether toward the DEAD.naught, surrounding it in a faint glow that quickly increased in intensity. As the Starcalled eyes adjusted to the light, they could see how countless images of data sprinkled forth like tiny little particle effects. Each showed the very same battle they were fighting. All the same, yet every single one being was slightly different.

This must have been how it has been updating itself, visual training.

In some, the tank never made it to Camp Hope, destroyed right at the start.
Constructing Anti-Titan-Buster Composite Plating.

Another, the tank easily succumbed to the defenders' smart trapping.
Improving Treadmills with Hexa-Flux-Coating.

A third, its cannon was ultimately too weak to really put a dent into Camp Hope.
Initiating Sky Lance Upgrade Protocol.

A fourth, it was the ballistae operated by the defenders on the wall who lay it to rest.
Activating Anti-Anti-Fun mechanism.

After countless iterations, the DEAD.naught would be prepared against any and all circumstances that could possibly put a dent into its plans! Literally. And just a bit longer, and the temporary upgrades would be its own, forever.

Battle Map



Elevated Terrains (Yellow Tiles)

Yellow squares are elevated roughly 40 feet above the gray squares
  • Starting Tile. All characters joining may start anywhere in rows 6, or 7 this cycle.
  • Movement. Moving from yellow to gray costs 1 movement and 10 HP (fall damage). Spend 2 movements to negate the damage.
  • Difficult Movement. Moving from gray to yellow costs 2 movements due to the vertical elevation.

Wall (Orange Tiles)

This is where the majority of players can be found.
  • Starting Tile. All characters joining may start anywhere in rows 6, or 7 this cycle.
  • Mounted Defense. There are 5 ballistae mounted along the stretch of the wall: A7, B7, C7, D7, E7
  • Defeat Condition. If the DEAD.naught reaches any of the orange tile, the wall will be blown, the enemy forces will be deployed and will immediately capture the camp
Scorched (Pink)

All tiles to the side and behind the DEAD.naught is burning with great intensity.
  • Eruption. If you start in a scorched tile at the beginning of your turn, take 10 damage, all multipliers apply.
  • Burning. You may move into these tiles, but it costs 10 HP per tile you enter, all multipliers apply.
  • Difficult Movement. It costs 2 movements to enter this tile as it is super-heatred. Moving from a scorched tile to a white/yellow/orange tile costs 1 movement.

Anyone who had taken damage from Blade Storm gains 4 stacks of the condition below.

  • The wall is more than salvaged Dragonship platings slapped together to fortify the camp. It goes without saying that maintaining the wall involves more than just fixing the broken areas.

Traps

The purpose of the battle is to kill the DEAD.naught before it reaches the wall and finishes its invasion. It's a no-brainer that Levi and Norn would call for traps to be set up on the battlefield to slow the enemy down.

(DM Action) Prepare Trap.
  • This is a small group check to set up traps on any gray space on the map.
  • When the DEAD.naught enters a trapped area, it will immediately lose 650 SP.

Targetting & Positioning

Sentry

Flying scouts of the magia raid force. Large in number, keep out of close-range combat and can disable traps.
  • HP: 100 Each
  • Retal: None
  • Movement. 3 zones, any direction. Are not affected by elevated terrain.
  • (Action) Detect and Remove: Upon entering a trapped zone. Deactivates the trap.
  • (Passive) Flight: Ignore terrain penalties and disadvantage all incoming attacks except for Ranged Weapons, Shadow Arts, Magic, Extension, Dynamism
  • Logic: Enemy moves towards the closest trap. Cannot be taunted.

Regulator

Mobile lazer blasting terrors of the magia raid force. Sturdy and have superior ranged combat abilities.

  • (Action) Linear Assault: In the damage phase. Deal a flat 20 damage to all players in a straight line and 50 damage to the Gate Walls.

Overseer

A sub-leader for the magia raid force. Modifies the DEAD.naught if not defeated.

  • (Action) Modification: Increases DEAD.naught Damage and recovers its HP by the amount of Overseer HP remaining in the damage phase.

With the arcane barrier around herself now, she called back to Ronja as she did another backwards somersault after kicking off of the tank. "Ay yo, thanks!" She continued to use her dexterity to its potential as she outmaneuvered the hits coming her way until the opportunity to use Ronja's shield had presented itself. The tank seemed to start morphing inwards as it proceeded, and with the reduced weapon fire, Tenshi charged forward to bash it with tiger arms morphed, doing this several times to try and steer it clear of others nearby.

As the tank folded itself shut, the tigress got the feeling that things had been too easy up until this point. That was when they fell. Those metal pillars, obelisks of omen. Just great, there were more mechanics to keep track of.

In the midst of the bladestorm going on further back, Tenshi began to look around frantically and saw the ADDS beginning to add. Add damage to the fight, that is, as things had fallen quite calm then picked back up again out of nowhere.

She began to dash here and there like an indecisive mouse. Tank? Recoup? ADDS? Tank? Recoup? ADDS?

Tenshi finally dashed towards the tank, but before she could fully leap, a metal projectile caught her eye from the side like a flash of light. She leapt forward and snatched it out of the air, while another couple followed it. "AY, OTHER CAT! MOVE!" She called out to @Fina Drago whose name she hadn't learned, looking back to make sure she ended up okay before continuing her breakneck assault on the tank, finding the burning ground an enjoyable contrast to her previously freezing state.

It continued on its path, dauntless.

Erick felt the pangs of frustration intermingle with unholy heat around him as sweat beaded on his flesh. The air was so dry that he felt no comfort, but that didn't stop him. He gave chase. Another flicker out of existence, and he was on top of the Overseer again. Even if he was decidedly weaker than his allies, even if he was not built to deal damage, he was able to feel the things that these enemies were doing. He was acutely aware of worlds beyond, and how the slightest of alterations could wreak havoc in this one.

Tightening his grip on the timelines, Erick pried them apart. The thousands of cascading calculations severed from one another as he shredded the links he originally tangled together, and the continuum shivered. Erick could feel himself being torn backward, thrust forcibly out of those timelines, the reeling sensation loud and reverberating in his mind, the selfsame song that the strange Magia sang now struck him louder than before.

He pulled back, like holding reins and steering the movements of a horse, only the creature upon which he rode now was space and time itself. They were far more fickle than any equine. The forces of nature did not like to be trifled with, and so as if to reprimand him for his insolence, an unseen force sent him sprawling backward.

"I won't let you," he growled in defiance, though he was alone. Though no one else could hear him. Though in all likelihood this machine would not understand the sentiment. It would be made to know his resolve.

Erick slowly drew the singularity he had now created into itself, seeking to isolate himself and the Overseer with hope that he could hold out long enough for his allies to gain an advantage.

She tried to line up another shot, but the tides of battle began to shift so rapidly that she couldn't get a good shot lined up anymore. Between that and the tank's shifting into an apparently more sturdy state for the time being, she took the best chance to fire that she could and pelted the tank's shell with a far more meager magical disruption blast this time around before making her way away from it. She couldn't hear it, but she felt the earth rumbling slams of the beacons coming down and the beckoning of the timelines that came with it.

But she wasn't in any hurry to get eviscerated. No sacrifices today, like she said. With a bright blue magic spring now coiled under her foot, she released it as she leapt forward, and made a pillow beneath herself out of that same bright blue magic to cushion her landing--and cushion it did--befitting of her usual luxurious flair.

Even before the assault from the two machines transpired, Kamala had already seen them, felt them, through her warped senses, her overactive sight and hearing and even smell, spurred on to their worst by her paranoia, one of the two gifts from her first and only death. The other gift? Oh, no, they’re under my skin! Kamala felt her entire body shake in horror as she, and only she, noticed the swarm’s clawed feet pricking across her skin, the heat of their vibrating wings burning her from within. Panicked hands ran across her flesh as she tried to get them off, but a quick glimpse at her friends’ current condition, the sound of their voices, momentarily distracted her from her own curse.

Don’t worry, don’t worry, don’t worry! She heaved and she panted as she fumbled to access her nature magic, placing both hands in front of her as she stared desperately at the blank space between them. That was, until the mending spirit of nature manifested in the same location as an illusory flora. Heaving another sigh, this time of relief, Kamala focused and healed what she could, the manifestation bursting into three separate illusory arrows that hit her marks with refreshing magic.

Almost immediately, however, the visual of a mushroom spirit popped over her head, startling her as she forgot it was just her own regenerative ability, a gift from nature itself, before disappearing in a puff of mending spores.

Once the dust, rather the spores settled, however, the panic returned to Kamala. She took one long look at her friends, then at the carnage around her, before shaking her head.

"I can’t. I’m sorry."


Without even hesitating, Kamala turned around and started climbing, hoping to get as far away from the machines as possible. She could no longer deny the horrifying presence of the thousands of insects supposedly inside her, underneath her skin, like a million pieces of herself trapped in this battlefield.

"LEAVE ME ALONE! PLEASE!"


She screamed twice, also in her head.

Ayna focused all her attention toward the DEAD.naught, the vile machine that was starting to amass its own army. She screamed at her friends to brace themselves, and when it launched its attack, she was more than ready to duck and dodge its full strength. Again. Sure, Chrys’ protective aura helped, but she wasn’t going to give him that win. Not yet.

The other machine almost caught her, though, forcing her to wince and immediately pirouette an additional time to save herself. But like the amazing bamboo against an unnatural storm, Ayna managed to evade its fury.

"I’ll get to you in a bit, darling. Just need to return the favor to ol’ tin head over here."

Again, Ayna zipped and zoomed around the behemoth of a machine, piercing and shocking it where she could, faster than most eyes could follow. With the lightning surging within her, she had the speed advantage. She was about to do the same thing to the other aggressor, but then Kamala started running away. Climbing, more like it.

To be fair, they weren’t soldiers. They were hired help. And Kamala? Well, Kamala has seen better days. She failed to save her once. She won’t allow herself to fail her friend a second time. Besides, unlike Chrys, Kamala wasn’t made of rocks. He was going to survive one way or another. He was going to outlive both of them combined.

She turned to @Chrys, clenching her jaw.

"Don’t worry, I got her. You’ll be safe, right? I’ll come back for you."


And then she ran after her friend, hurling herself forward and upward, makeshift wings of lightning appearing on her back as she grabbed her from behind and carried her to the wall, where she’d be safe. She hoped.

"Ah... yeah. Let's do our best."


She didn't manage anything else in the face of a crying faerin. Heck, this was the first time she saw someone crying up close in... ages. It made her pause for a bit, but there was no time for any more than that. The entire wall vibrated as something else started happening on the battlefield. 'What now?!' was the single thought that passed through the magia's mind as she sharply turned around to take a look.

It was at the same moment that something started descending from the skies. Large pillars that burrowed into the earth, stabilizing themselves and tethering to the enemy. Was it some kind of empowerment? Then, one of them landed so close to the wall that the impact made MAI jump ever so slightly. Her eyes started quickly darting from @Aloe and Meriam to the giant construct.

"I think... we should probably try to destroy it. If it's connecting to the enemy, then it cannot be anything good."


They were all similar in design as well, so it wasn't like some mysterious ally suddenly showed up to help. Nodding to herself, the magia would let out one of her small drones and let it collide directly with the pylon. A small detonation. Nothing major - just a displacement mine of sorts. However, it seemed to cause an internal chain reaction and the entire object started radiating an enormous amount of energy. Was... was that whole thing going to explode? They were far too close!

"U-use those speed drones and get out of the radius, quickly!"


She shouted at the so-called goddess of victory, knowing she could get out in time. But what about the same faerin? (@Raid Boss @Ashifili*) She just stated that she wasn't going to run. And MAI herself certainly wouldn't be able to make it out in time. She could think of only one possible way of getting through this. Without much warning, MAI would suddenly hug Meriam tightly from behind.

"I-if you got anything for defense, now would be the time!"


As she spoke, the hoodie the magia was wearing started tearing apart in the back. A pair of mechanized wings suddenly sprouted out, an external module that the girl was working on before coming here. It was meant to assist with her gravity controls and improve her flight. But now? The wings of steel and other magitech materials would wrap around herself and Meriam to act as a shield against the blast. And as long as Meriam didn't intentionally struggle, MAI would hold her tight. For the fae's sake... and her own fear.

Kyra's focus on reloading the ballistae was pulled as something slammed into the ground. She felt the reverberation moments after hearing the whistling, then slamming sounds. Her eyes searched the field for whatever it was, spotting the pylons after a moment - just in time for the dazzling light that seemed to erupt from them.

Her sensitive eyes burned from the impact of the light, forcing her to look away and down as she tried to recover. She wasn't sure how long it had taken for the bright light to fade away, but when she looked again, she saw the chaos that the battlefield had become.

She could see from her vantage point all the injured, all those in need of help. The growl that presented itself in the back of her throat might not have been loud, but it was a warning to those below - a warning that she was coming.

Pulling on her Primal Aura again, she sent an image to @MAI, an image that showed Kyra leaping from the wall to the field below. Seconds after, she was moving, leaping like she had imagined, her scythe in hand as she fell through the air towards the ground below, before rushing forwards towards to Starcalled on the field. She barely recognised either of them, knowing only that they were along her path - and obviously injured.

"I give unto you that which I do not need...may it return what has been taken, this gift of life..."


The tendrils of energy that connected her with the other two - visible only to herself, and those connected to the spiritual magics - streamed and seemed to expand as the magics took effect, transferring Kyra's own soul into the others, healing over the few injuries that could be seen.

At the same time, a scream of pain erupted from the Vulpine as she stumbled in her forward movement, the healing taking what it always did from her - a piece of herself. The scream slowly shifted into a growl as she forced herself forward, determined to reach the frontlines as quickly as she possibly could.

They need help...and I won't...let them...down... Each breath hurt, each step burned, but she would make it there. She would...

Ronja's eyes flickered in a dangerous red hue when the flames scorched her metallic carapace and the components under it. Her system faltered slightly, but the fact she still needed to find @Fiora Di Angelo kept her awake.

"A-Ah..."

Her posture staggered, and shaking her head, she tried to keep looking around, while seeing the chaos the enemies were causing on the battlefield. There were no signs of her friend, but she couldn't stand useless just because of it.

Charging her mana into three spheres she pulled out from her inventory, Ronja activated them, revealing to be spherical propelling automatons, lifting height on a flight.

Between ear-piercing songs, burns, and odds stacking over and over against Camp Hope, Hanno felt nearly stunned at the barrage of things he needed to pay attention to. He held a breath of pain, gritting his teeth. "Lady! Another time!" Hanno called for @Lady N as he rushed through fire and flames, ready to go for another protective maneuver, casting a glance at @Vina Skysong, seeing her wounds and her dangerous position.

"You as well, buddy-!" He neared her, beaming a protective aura around them, shielding them against harm, similarly protecting @Toko who was just about to dart off deeper into the battlefield. Covering his friends, his attention shifted to the odds stacking against them even more, with incoming upgrades, with the danger unfolding... The ground was filled with the blood of friends and allies.

But they couldn't give up.

Hanno growled, reaching for his shield and gripping firmly before raising it high above his head, clenching his fist as he approached the enemy.

"Calling for your help..? For Reinforcements?" Hanno glared.

"Call them." He stomped forward.

"Call your allies. Call your leader. Call your God." Hanno's eyes brimmed with rage, with every stomp trampling ground and sinking at every step.

"Call every single one of them." He charged, swinging his shield back as she rumbled with wide open eye, stretching its tentacles to charge up a slam. "We will shatter every single one of them-" Hanno jumped, tackling the tank for a body slam and a strike that sunk the shield against its armor.

"AND YOU WILL BE ONLY A SCRAP TO THE PILE!"
Hanno roared in reckless abandon.

Aloe rose, bumping her head on one Ballistae which tipped it over and caused another to fire. Not even noticing the bump forming on her head, she gave Mai who was shielding Meriam a thumbs up before dashing to B7, hopping on the wall, and spreading her arms as if into embrace the incoming blast in her full self-professed divine glory.

"WORRY NOT TERRAZENS! YOUR BIG SISTER IS HERE! SHINE ALOE! WIN ALOE! VICTORY GODDESS SHIEEELLLLDDDDD!"


Looking behind her at Mai and Merium, Aloe smiled as she began to turn into one of those sketchy pencil drawings in the bright light of the explosion. Her balled fists extended two fingers each in the shapes of V's.

She shouted as her voice was drowned out in the rumble------It really, really hurt!

The army had indeed arrived, mechanized drones, a cheerleading singing magia, and now pillars raining from the sky. While Chelsea expected it to become a chaotic death field just like always... she didn't expect it to be quite like this.

Boo, she wanted to log out but she couldn't. She was IN COMBAT so it was not an option. She made her bed and was stuck in it. There was a pillar nearby and she assumed destroying it would be useful. Perhaps she could check it for clues about her own gear.

After some time nothing really was discovered. It was very difficult to damage and the heat was increasing around her. Staying quiet and as focused as she could. Chelsea maneuvered herself back in an effort to find a non-enflamed area. Which was becoming increasingly difficult.

With every moment the DEAD.Naught scuttled closer. The army continued to advance. A beam of light and fire burst from the backline, leaving searing pain in its wake. Blades sang through the air, slicing clothing and feathers both. With a frantic warble she took to the air, ducking and weaving through the blades. And though her song faltered with each slice she persevered until the air cleared.

"Such a foul melody..."


It still rang through her head as communications cleared, that maddening beat that sought to smother hope. She could almost taste it as she took a breath, eyes focused on the sentry robot making its way towards the half-finished trap behind her.

Bluebird inhaled, and the wind rose as she did. Air swirled around her as she let her world narrow to the robot, so far away, but moving on a predictable path...

She opened her mouth. But what emerged was not a song, but a scream. A lance of wind and cutting starlight burst towards the sentry and pierced it, destroying the core in an instant.

And Bluebird, the echoes of Hope's Requiem still heavy on her tongue, covered her mouth to conceal the blood her sudden coughing fit brought forth.

It’s terribly hard to think with all this noise, he contemplated as he almost stumbled at the machine’s approach, coupled with that annoying blast, though he was not inconvenienced by its bride’s blades. No matter. I suppose I must defend my allies yet again.

They have yet to experience death, and whatever else went with it, in this world, unlike her, but maybe that would change real soon.

"Don’t go soft on me now, old friend. Go. I have unfinished business with our other friend here."


Finally, Chrys turned his attention back to the machine that was towering before him.

"I don’t have a catchphrase to impart with you, unfortunately. I shall let the earth speak for me instead."

After which, he made his way closer to the wall to help his friends.

Having seen what the DEAD.naught's limbs could do to someone who wasn't careful, Vina did her best to dance around them even as she played her flute to keep the healing magic going. However, having to focus both on the music and the giant mechanical limbs meant that she had a hard time concentrating, her music faltering as one of those massive legs knocked her against the ground, where the intense heat scorched her flesh.

Quickly pushing herself up Vina did her best to keep it together even as tears were forming from the pain. Her entire body hurt, and she was honestly surprised that she hadn't broken any bones yet.

Upon Levi's landing (@Ashifili* & @Raid Boss) Vina managed to muster a small smile, although it was clear that the fight was taking its toll on her.

The vixen took a deep breath, trying to recover as much as she could before returning to her job as support. It seemed like the DEAD.naught was taking a break, which Vina was immensely grateful for. Even if it meant that afterwards, the fight would get tougher, she really needed this.

Suddenly there was a little robot whizzing around her, filling the air with a soothing substance that was like a balm to Vina's scorched and bruised self. Her ears twitched as she sought out the one responsible, sending a grateful smile towards @Ronja Bubblyfoot. The worst of the pain had subsided, and now she could focus. Bringing her flute to her lips once more she played another song, pouring all she had into it to rejuvenate herself and others.

However, she couldn't stay in her current position. All of them had to move. As she wove her healing melodies she used the same music to summon gusts of wind to carry herself and others closer towards the walls, away from the scorching hellscape.

As Nyancy watched the overseer began to approach the DEAD.naught.

"Ah craps, whateva it's gonna do tah tha tank ain't gonna be good is it? Gotta try and stop it hea. Not suah if I got enough in me tah do it though. Ah well, cayn't let that stop me from tryin'!"

Releasing her water sword, the magical blade dissolved into water droplets.

"Gotta focus if I'm gonna do this one, right."

THEME

Taking a low stance, Nyancy readied herself and crossed her arms as if to draw two swords at the same time.

"This hea manuvah's gonna take a lot outta me, but I should survive it, probably..."

In on of the small Felis' hands winds began to coalesce as before. In the other lightning began to arc.

"HEA WE GO!"

Both Neko ni Koban, Nyancy's wind blade and Neko mo Shakushi mo, Nyancy's lightning blade materialized.

Alright Nyancy, you can do it! Heroic moment incomin!

"HONED IS THA BLADE THAT SEVAHS EVIL! HERO DRAW SECRET TECHNIQUE! YOSO ORI: ARASHI!"

slashing both swords in an x pattern, wind and lightning merged into a horizontal vortex of cutting winds and arcing lightning. The attack of winding power twisted and roared through the battlefield until it reached the overseer engulfing it.

Nyancy dropped down to a knee as she looked up. Her breath was heavy, the attack had taken much out of the small Felis.

Was it enough?

As the wind cleared Nyancy scowled.

"Daym..."

The overseer, though injured, still stood.

"WELL IF THAT AIN'T ENOUGH, THEN I'LL JUST KEEP TRYIN' UNTIL IT IS!"

Nyancy forced herself back on her feet and readied another attack.

As her call for help was foolishly answered by one whose will to do good clouded their judgement in totality, Ludmilla began to convulse with joy as she received the surge of healing energy from @Kyra Vashtana's spirit tether. That sacrifice was not for naught after all, but for what?

Yes, YES, YES!!


Staggering as if trying to keep something hidden inside her dress bodice from bursting out, Ludmilla dances an unstable jitterbug step across the battlefield. Small cosmic rifts begin to blink open and immediately close around her, some kind of Astramancy incontinence that thankfully didn't take off the limbs of anyone nearby with its short-lived danger.

The time is now! NOW NOW NOW!!! HHAHAHAHAHA!! ο κόσμος καταρρέει!


Screaming words she didn't understand herself, Ludmilla's uncontrollable prancing stops momentarily as she forces a huge piece of wall rubble scattered by the previous Sky Lance beam to levitate, letting out a guttural whoop much unlike her usual tone;

DEATH FROM THE BEYOND! τ̸έ̶λ̵ο̸ς̷ ̵ό̵λ̶ω̶ν̵!!

Standing wide open as if inviting some kind of reprisal, she musters the force to spin about wildly with the massive chunk of wall hovering above her and rotating in kind. The gathering momentum soon breaks her grasp on it, sending it flying away to crash against the DEAD.naught's impregnable armour.

Rambling and tearing at her dress, Ludmilla suddenly loses interest in spinning about on the spot and returns to wandering around aimlessly, not exactly seeming aware of where she is or where she's going. Something about the influx of magical energy in her body was driving this nonsensical behaviour, but...was there method in this madness?
