I N T E R M I S S I O N
The unprecedented case of traveler katnapping.

NYAHAHAHA, HOW DID YA LIKE THAT! (the confident catgirl casted waves of slime at some of her fellow travelers, unaware of the danger looming nearby.)

OOOOOK EEK OOK OOK EEK!
(Loud felis intruder! Make good food! CATCH DUMB CAT!)

Suddenly, out of all things, an ape darts out from within the dead woods. It snatched the slime coated felis girl, carrying her away to god knows where, among the trees, where several other apes OOK OOK EEK chanted in unison. Was she a felis, or some sort of bag of potatoes, after all?

Wait, NYO! LET GO OF ME, NYA BRAINLESS MONKEY! NYOOOOOOOO!

Note: This is not a cycle update!

Unaffiliated (Currently cooperating with Adventures Guild)
Red Fever (2) (Disgust)

"Disgusting."

This place was just disgusting.

Mold and spores filled every nook and cranny, causing Jin to sneeze every few minutes or so, not to mention the pool of green slime that seemed to occupy most of the floor space. He'd blame it on allergies if it wasn't for the glowing red icon in his peripheral vision indicating a status alignment. It was strangely unknown, though over the course of the last few hours he'd learn it had been called a red fever, and it was something affecting everyone here.

He should have probably gone with the group to go investigate a cure for it, he had a history with alchemy after all, but he wanted to explore, so he headed with the adventures guild. It seemed to him to be the safest bet, and the one most likely to help him succeed in his objective here. So he nodded along, half-listening to the explanation of what they were doing and why, noting silently that two in charge seemed more apt as a comedy duo, than leaders of a company, but who was he to judge.

At least he shouldn't be, because as he thought about it, he missed what should have been an easy jump and took a nasty fall in the midst of his temple run. He'd survive, with a bruise to his legs and some missing life points, but his ego would take longer to recover. He had distinct memories of using this body more effectively before, it was like something changed, he just couldn't put his finger on what.

Frustrated he cut down some of the disgusting manashrooms and headed back only to hear that beastfolk screaming in Japanese once again. How was @Toko even managing to bypass the translator, Jin, was pretty certain he was speaking Japanese in his head, but the words exiting his mouth clearly sounded different. He opened his mouth to say something until he saw the monkey appear and grab the felis leader from earlier.

With that, something clicked in the back of Roland's mind, bringing everything into focus, shouting at Toko, he pointed to where the monkey had run off, "Quick we have to help her!"

Omega Faction
Red Fever (2): Fear

While the slime swamp was disgusting, Omega was superior. Flying on a sort of hoverboard thanks to her masteries.

As Trevis entered, however, Omega got covered in slime. "Aaaaaahhhhh!" SPLOSH losing balance and diving body-deep into the ocean of green.

"DISGUSTING!" Coughing and patting herself clean, she started cursing at him(@mina*) . "Du verdammter, inkompetenter..." She stopped for a second. "You damn, incompetent, walnut!"

"You sorry excuse of... of... an Elvis look-alike!? A B-Rated-Elvis!"
She didn't seem sure herself, though. Yet, as quickly as Omega had become upset for only a moment, she was already calm again. The harm had already been done. "Omega will remember this and will get her revenge..."

If she had to bathe in slime because of his antics then, one day, Belvis could experience the very same. Just swap out the swamp for the top of a volcano!

Thus, Omega Redux destination was quickly settled. A lot more exciting than the stupid swamp was, obviously, the Magitek temple! Now that spelled a lot more adventure than digging through mud and getting into CHILDISH slime fights. Hmpf.

Zero fear so far, as Omega explored the innards of the ruins all by herself. "Ooohh!" Her gapping mouth only growing wider and wider. "Aaahhh!!" As around each shifting-corner seemed to bear something more amazing that gave her more and more ideas for potential future death-weapons, death-traps, and death-lair! "Woooow!"

"Omega rates this place 6 out of 10. Hard minus for being in a swamp, and also too much plant stuff!"
Of course, she hadn't forgotten the thing she decided to help out with just so she could tag along.

Some sort of hard-to-find glowy mushroom things. "Aha!" Of course, they could only hide for so long. Grabbing some and pulling, however, she quickly lost her balance and-

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!"

Letting out an Omega-piercing shriek, created by surprise, as she came crashing down.

Pain. As Omega was lying on the ground of whatever caught her fall, she could feel her body hurting. This was supposed to be awesome funsies! But right now, she felt only pain and suffering. But still zero fear, or was it?

"Bwwwwuuuueeeeeeeeehhhhhhhh!!!!" Being still a fledgling Final Boss, she did however now start crying. Sounding like a ghost haunting the temple, as it was just too much...

Alpha didn't want to be here. There was grime everywhere that stuck to the soles of her shoes, oozing like mozzarella cheese left out in the sun when she lifted up her feet; the people had weird accents; and the people stenched like rotten sewage, especially the screaming red-haired girl who kept screaming: "Aaaaaahhhhh!" and "Bwwwwuuuueeeeeeeeehhhhhhhh!!!!" What was she, an alligator?

Alpha resolved to keep her head down. She heard nothing, saw nothing, and she said nothing.

Honestly, maybe she should pack her bags and move back to the real world. Somehow. She didn't exactly know where the travel agency was or how to get a visa back to the United States, or even how to renounce her Terraspherean citizenship, but there was nothing Alpha wanted to do right now more than log off and hop onto her laptop to play some Among Us and Town of Salem. Instead, she got---what was that?

It was blobby. Jiggly. Its eyes were so big, they seem to have outgrown its body completely. "Oh hello there little baby," Alpha cooed. She slowly reached out, smiling to seem as unassuming as possible. "Oh you precious, darling, little, innocent, cute, adorable, lovely, amazing..."

The slime's eyes seemed to have glinted in the sunlight, eyes bright and wide. "Pwee." It stretched out its bubbly body as if in greeting. "Oh, you're my new best fr---OH MY GOD!"

The slime launched itself towards Alpha, its sticky limbs clinging to her face as Alpha burned. "Get it off, get it off, the pain! SOMEONE HELP ME! Mmmmppphhhh!"

Green sludge traveled across the air whilst mandragoras released their swansong. Arcane fungi that had developed over centuries were mercilessly picked apart, while trilobites were captured within deplorable containers. To an onlooker, what was supposed to be a simple gathering mission had a lot in common with some sort of chaotic unison: the adventurers worked towards one goal, yet…

Each one was unbelievably distinct from one another.

Though under the effects of the looming Red Fever, these moments would, perhaps, be remembered in the future as your days of reckless adventuring. With emotions flourishing on your skin, you take what you need, because you need it. You splash that idiot in slime, because they deserved it! You don’t need a deeper philosophical reason to understand that people have needs, and you have realized there’s a market to make sure they are met. You do what you must, because the gold is your only compass.

A maxim often questioned by the other three factions, though an honorable one nonetheless. The brilliance of wealth, exquisite. The ale and the companions that pave the way, unforgettable. The expectations and sweet promises of reaching your goals lie within nothing but a single metal. A wonderful overview of the Adventurer’s guild, which no doubt recruited far too many starry-eyed adventurers into its circle. But with such a wide range of enticing promises within reach, I ask of you, fellow adventurer: What is it that lurks on the other side of the coin?

Perhaps the [blaring siren] within the temple can answer you.

Cycle 5D
Mammonite is in my blood, and it bleeds R E D.

Dozens of mana signatures, several fauna and flora lifesigns detected. All the conditions were set, but one last step had to be taken for activation. That was when a certain duo @Cyrus Sylvester @Omega Redux had decided it was a good idea to venture (or more accurately, fall) deeper into the temple than one should. As your backs landed on the surface of a cold and smooth material, the entire ‘dark’ room lit up, green circuit-like magitechnics coming to life at once. Unbeknownst to you, your presence had activated the defense mechanisms of something.

You hear a loud mechanical thud, and slime poured inside from within the walls, filling the umbral room until all adventurers were forcefully ejected from the temple. As for outside, the loud rumbling could be heard across the entire swamp as well. Slimes stopped bouncing, mandragoras had their song cut short, and trilobites scurried off to safety.

The temple rumbled once.

It rumbled twice, and the jelly-like ground shook in unison.

... Third time's when the coin flip really shines.

CRASH!

Suddenly, the visible part of the temple outside bursts into several gigantic pieces, flying away from its original location. Before venturing too far out, however, they stopped midair as ominous, glowing magi-circuitry activated on their surface. Ignoring the pull of gravity, they revolved, spinning on a large radius around the temple and hitting any unsuspecting adventurer along the way.

The range of their spinning tightened until the pieces connected at the center, where the rest of the temple burst out of the ground and stood tall, while the floating pieces connected above, revealing the shape of a huge humanoid-like golem. Reality had come to a metaphorical stop as the colossal golem stood still for a moment…

Until its eyes thrashed about within their mechanical sockets, ominously stopping and staring at all of you.

Up in the air its gigantic arm rose, and from within the slime, four long and equally massive stone pillars were violently pulled towards the creature’s arm. They connected into one another, forming the basic shape of a giant sword… and within moments, as if a reminder that this was a death game, the sword fell true, like a guillotine ready to split anything on its path. The crash is disastrous, generating huge waves of slime and uprooting several trees all around.

As the colossus raised its weapon from the crash site, a sharply-dressed man is left floating on the slime. Thankfully, a second later, he spri–

TOOH! (With a mighty push of his back muscles, the king jumps back on his feet.)

My babies, playtime’s over! (He points at the colossal creature, his smile as bright as ever despite being caked in slime)

Whoever’s confident in your fighting skills, come with me! If not, keep gathering the ingredients! Nothing gets in the way of our coin!! (he raises his fist in the air, and several other adventurers shout back.)

But before that...

HAS ANYONE SEEN MY CAT?! I CAN’T FIND MY CAT! SHE’S THIS TINY AND ALWAYS HAS THIS GRUMPY FACE. PLEASE! I NEED MY EMOTIONAL SUPPORT BABYCAT!

  • Thread Code: 550C5D
  • All rolls must be done in the #red-fever-rolls channel.
  • The total amount of ingredients will affect the final result of the [Serenity Mist] quality.
  • At the moment of posting, refresh and look at the contribution count recorded in post above you and update the total contribution. The contribution tally is counting UP
  • For every post you make, apply 1 stack of Red Fever.

Ingredient Gathering

1613 / 3000 HP

Mandragora

Damage: If your actual die (excluding modifiers) is [50] or lower take 20 damage from the wonderful screaming therapy.

Secrets
  • 70+ Presence secret cleared!
  • 70+ K/A secret cleared!
  • 80+ K/A secret cleared!
  • 90+ K/A secret cleared!

These toxic plants thrive in this inhospitable area, where they can't easily be pulled out by other creatures due to the pool of slime protecting them. If using either Awareness or Knowledge for your roll, check if they meet the unlock mechanic for the hidden information listed down below.

Amberslime

Damage: If your actual die (excluding modifiers) is [50] or lower take 15 damage. The slime will munch on your armor and weapon, splashing acid on you.

Secrets
  • 70+ Presence secret cleared!
  • 70+ F/K secret cleared!
  • 80+ F/K secret cleared!
  • 90+ F/K secret cleared!

Amber-colored slimes that quietly swim on the inanimate expanse of stinky jelly. Their diet favors most inorganic matter such as armor and weapons. If using either Fortitude or Knack for your roll, check if they meet the unlock mechanic for the hidden information listed below.

Manashroom

Damage: If your actual die (excluding modifiers) is [50] or lower take 20 damage. You suck at platforming. Have you ever played Super Mario?

Secrets
  • 60+ Presence secret cleared!
  • 70+ K/A secret cleared!
  • 80+ K/A secret cleared!
  • ??? (Requires a natural roll of 90 or higher.)

Small glowing mushrooms that have overtaken the inner structures of the ancient temple. Over several years, they have been feeding on the mana of all sorts of animals that perish on the surrounding slime. As a result of contact with these overcharged mushrooms, the hidden and malfunctioning magitech of the temple has been activated.

The walls, ground, structures and stairs inside all move at random intervals, seemingly moved by an invisible force. The internal dilapidated structure of the temple apparently has no bottom, ending up in darkness, but considering the amount of vines and platforms it's unlikely that you'll fall deep.

secrets

  • [Mandragora]
    1. It's no secret that Mandragoras are sensitive creatures,
    2. But only the ones who have endured their screams can tell,
    3. That if you poke them right, they release a toxin felines can smell.
  • [Amberslime]
    1. Though they look rather cute, nobody can deny the danger these guys pose,
    2. Very few people know, however, that if you stay near them long enough,
    3. They will talk with you.
  • [Manashroom]
    1. A rarity in the market, though sadly far too common for your needs,
    2. ???
    3. ???
  • [Presence Secrets]
    1. [ALL CLEAR]: You have learned and adapted to the dangers of this zone together. When ingredient gathering, gain +15 (+5 from each secret) total bonus to your roll if you tag someone else.

Frantic Gathering

The MIT is in their endgame now and require every bit of ingredients your group can scrounge together. Just close your eyes and ears to all the ruckus and fighting around you. You need to focus. FOCUS! GATHER! LET'S GO!
  • Make an Expertise or Mastery roll (Any) to gather the ingredients requested by the Magical Institute of Theory (MIT).
  • Important: Before you roll, you MUST add an ingredient name at the END of your rollcode. Example: ?r expertise 0 5 # Blah | Name | 550C4D | Manashroom
  • Flow: When you finish rolling, these are the things you need to check for based on your ingredient. In total, you only roll once and check it against the conditions below.
    1. Contribution: Add the roll result to the contribution marker.
    2. Damage: If you rolled below 50, Take the damage listed in the ingredient you're trying to acquire.
    3. Unlock: Check if you meet the requirement to unlock the unknown information on each card.
    4. Loot: Is your die roll (excluding modifier) above 90? At the end of this thread, you will be rewarded with custom loot! (Note: The loot given will go into your player storage.)

  • Pick between gathering ingredients or enemy incursion below. Follow the instructions in the cards to move the thread forward!
  • The quota of [1] Trilobite has been reached, and as such, it has been removed from the list of ingredients.

Enemy Incursion

ᛗᚨᚷᛁᚴᚱᛟᚾᛟᛋ
❰ ??? / ??? ❱

Combat Guidelines

The temple has been revealed to be a gigantic golem, awakened from an ancient slumber because of your adventuring. Sadly, you don't have time for this. The researchers back at the MIT are still needing materials, and though the coin can buy some of the greatest joys around the world, it sadly cannot persuade time. Tread carefully, adventurer, and find the proper balance in gathering materials, protecting your gatherers, and keeping the colossal creature from destroying your ingredients and yourself.
  • All players take [25] damage in this cycle due to the enemy offensive.
  • Some of the ingredients you've collected have been lost on the attack, and as such, your maximum contribution bar has been raised to [3000].
  • You may now target the golem using combat actions or use support actions on your allies. Special actions and armor abilities still cannot be used, however.
  • All rolls must be done in the #red-fever-rolls channel.
  • At the moment of posting, refresh and look at the contribution count recorded in post above you and update the total. The contribution tally is counting UP both for ingredient gathering and enemy incursion.
  • If the enemy has no target by next cycle, it will deliver an even stronger group-wide attack. You may taunt it to keep its attention on you.
  • The total damage dealt to the colossal golem will be compared against a secret tally. If that tally is not met, the maximum contribution bar will increase.

  • [Mandragora secret]
    • It seems that your time playing Stardew Valley has been well spent! If at least five of you write #emotionalsupport on your post, you have used a mandragora to release its gaseous toxins. I wonder who can detect that?
  • [Amberslime secret]
    • If all players write #slimeparty at the end of their posts, you have commanded the amberslimes to shield your friends. All players takes less [10] damage next cycle.
  • [Manashroom secret]
    • Unlock all three checks to reveal.

Red Fever (3) - Anger and Rage - Twins of the same feeling.

The blonde man was down on his hands and knees, digging through the muck, and pulling out whatever came up in his hands. Desperately searching for whatever they were looking for. His face furrowed further each time one of his palms came back up with nothing but loose red grass and slimey vines. His concentration constantly interrupted by the way the @Kyoko was talking to him, and hovering around. Followed by @Celestine and Caccu's reprimands and loud talking, his jaw began to move back and forth slowly. Why were they looking at him? @Moonsong especially, was she judging him? His glare reminded on the woman for a few moments, eyes shifted to the corners of his eyes in disdain by the way @Toko had called out so damn annoyingly.

He stood up swiftly, angrily wringing out each of his sleeves and the long dark coat he had on. Shoving forward and roughly brushing past Kyoko, and pushing her aside. He stopped just short of Hayate, finger pointed up aggressively. The Felis's mouth opened to shout at him, to reprimand the way his name was pronounced before. A verbal argument being avoided by the sudden smashing of Temple, and emergence of the Golem.

It would have to wait. Of course something else happened. Of course he couldn't get anything right other than grab the one slime. Only after annoying his allies. Of course this was a disaster of a mission, and Zelrius was of no help. Each side of his jaw was getting sore by now, teeth fighting their hardest against the unlockable clench that he had manifested. There was an outlet in the enemy; enraged or not, the blonde hair man waded through the slime, happy to finally put his favourite skills to the test. Even if this stupid, idiot body wouldn't allow him to be good at it. Dual swords drawn, and the temple approached, the Adventurer started with flurry of swings, dashing forward and back in waves of fire as a way to let off steam, and attempt to stay out of the enemy's reach. The only thing having been saved from the encroaching fury were the floating amberslimes. They had been nothing but nice to him.

Zelrius was one with the #slimeparty

Red Fever (3) Real Sad boy hours

"Oh no..." one of the slimes lamented. "It looks like you woke up the big guy..."

Brutus looked up to the giant, frowned a bit and turned back to his newly offput slime friend. "Awwww, damn sorry buddy." He'd been spending some time with the little guy, once they'd gotten to know eachother he'd really opened up to the giant, sharing his aspirations to be a painter, his fear of commitment, the dread of living a meaningless life. They'd spent an hour or so shooting the breeze whilst he'd been working on gathering more cores.

"It's alright. You need any help with, that buddy?"

Brutus turned to the slime and cocked his head to the side. "You'd do that bud?"

"Yeah man, I gotchu. Stuff me in that barrel of yours and shoot me at him, I'll fuck him up." The slime wiggled a bit excitedly.

"But..." Brutus paused. "Won't that hurt, or kill you?"

"I dunno man." The slime mused, seemingly looking at the colossus. "But like, even if it kills me, I died protecting a friend eh?"

Brutus found tears rolling down his cheek as his vision began to blur. "But...what about your hopes and dreams?"

"I mean..." The slime drawled. "My life was pretty boring till you guys showed up. Quit waffling and let me in that canon man."

Brutus would lower his canon, and the slime would crawl into it. The giant could hardly see straight as he aimed his canon, gritting his teeth. "Hey man, do you have a name?"

"Nah man, Slimes don't do that."

"I'm gonna name you Harold."

"Aight, bet."

"You're a brave slime Harold."

"You're a cool dude Bruce."

The giant grit his teeth, took his aim, and fired.

"WITNESS ME!" Harold screamed as he splat uselessly against the giant. The roar of battle and canon fire would drown out the sobs of the giant. Truly, this would be Harold's last #Slimeparty

Red Fever (3) Joy
-25 HP from enemy offensive

As Pete continued gathering manashrooms, he started to feel very accomplished. So much so, that that feeling of pride turned into joy. Pete was starting to enjoy himself, very much so that he was ignoring what was happening around him, including the warning, the screams, the fighting, and the #slimeparty. He was lost in his farming world, contented with just picking as many manashrooms as he could, even though the battlefield was now making it somewhat more difficult. "Manashrooms for me, manashrooms for you, manashrooms for everyone!"

From a safe distance, Pete saw @Zelrius and @Brutus Dahlgren fighting huge, but he was just too happy to join them. Like the kind of happiness that just makes you contented to watch strangers beat up something together while you just do your thing. That kind of happiness. "Aww, they're all working together for a common goal! That makes me so happy!" Stupid Pete.

Red Fever Stacks [ 3 ] Joy x4

Toko had been in the process of prying @Celestine off from her body when the temple suddenly began to rumble, the floor and walls shifting until eventually all travelers within were unceremoniously dumped into the green glop that was the #slimeparty lake below. "Nani shitendayo—oooh... sugoooi!" The shift was almost instant, Toko even forgetting about how annoyed she had been moments before with everyone. There was a glint in her eyes, the pure and unexpected shot of dopamine entering her system almost making the rabbitfolk vibrate with unfiltered glee.

"Fuck yeah, baby!"

She was instantly recruited into battling the golem, long before the voice of Trevis (@mina*) called for them and completely ignoring the man's crisis about his missing #emotionalsupport kitten, and it seemed she wasn't the only one with her eye on the giant target. Toko hadn't even noticed when the red fever counter had increased by another stack...

@Zelrius was first, the man slashing at the unexpected creature with his dual swords. Toko used the bought time to prepare herself, gathering the earth to cover her forearms and shin as extra armor, before a loud cry coming from the direction @Brutus Dahlgren was standing on made the Lepus look. Was Brutus crying?

"What are you guys doing—"

KA-BOOOOOOM!!!

A surprised Toko watched the Amberslime being shot from Brutus' cannon, before eventually it reached the target and splattered all across the golem. "Pffffft ahahahahaaa! That was hilarious!" The Lepus' body was racked as she chuckled whole heartedly, having to wipe a few tears from her eyes before Toko smashed her fists together.

The giant was already next to her anyways, having just been yeeted from within its body to the slime below, and as the Lepus wound her arm back for a good hit the ki energy gathering on her knuckles made her fist glow. "Iku yo!" With zero restrain the rabbitfolk allowed herself to let loose, her earth and stone covered glowing fist slamming hard against the leg of whatever this ᛗᚨᚷᛁᚴᚱᛟᚾᛟᛋ entity was.

Kat continued to groan at the slime swamp, it was disgusting, she had missed the slime, and definitely was not having a #slimeparty. She didn't feel as strangely upset as she had initially felt, but now she felt ultra grossed out by the slime around her. This was only compounded by a giant golem rising out of the swamp and completely covering her in the goop surrounding them. Kat screamed after she surfaced from the wave of crud washing over her, only for the golem to slam its sword into the ground, causing another wave of the goop to flood over her again, and into her mouth.

She coughed up as much of the goop as she could, and after managing to get it out of her mouth, threw up in utter disgust from the situation. It hurt, everything hurt. Why had she come here? Others had tried to make her feel better. She remembered in the heat of the moment that a cute little girl (@Celestine) tried her best to make her feel better. She tried her best to remember that they were all fighting together, and as she looked up at the golem, Kat remembered why she was there.

This was a game, and she was supposed to have fun. As she watched three of her comrades throw themselves at the Golem. Kat knew what she had to do. With a battle cry about as intimidating as a kitten trying to roar like a lion, Kat activated her shadow arts and teleported herself onto the blade of the Golem currently stuck in the pool of muck. She ran up the blade, a blur of green goop thanks to her dynamism. Once she felt she had gotten far enough up the blade to make the leap, she ran off the side of the Golem's sword, and teleported once again towards the Golem's chest, shoving her hidden blade right into seams of magitech in the Golem's waist. Kat hung there, hidden blade on her wrist stuck in the golem, slime dripping off of her body, as she looked back down at the party below. She pushed back the urge to vomit again, hoping she did someone proud down there.

Red Fever (3) - Joy

One moment she was trudging through a swamp, the next a giant golem explodes out the mountain and starts swinging a gigantic sword around. Life around Travelers was just as she remembered it being. Dangerous, unpredictable and honestly quite a blast. Intellectually, she knew she should be terrified. One errant swing and that would be it for her. There wasn't any coming back from being smashed into scrap. For some reason though, she just couldn't find it in herself to do the smart thing and take cover while letting the more combat oriented members of the Adventurer's Guild handle it.

Looking around, she could see that quite a few people were looking worse for wear after the golem's initial strike. Well, everyone was, but in particular two short blondes were looking really roughed up - she had drawn the long end of the stick this time - and another girl about her height was looking to tackle the golem head on. She focused on the pure waters, amidst the sludge of the swamp. She still wasn't the greatest at focusing under pressure, but it was kind of fun in its own way. Noticing the way the slimes started to gather around her, she was nervous for a bit but noticed that they started to form a barrier around her. That gave her an idea. Slimes were probably pretty filled with water, probably. She channeled spiritual energy into them, her senses making it feel like she was surrounded by water. There, she was in her element. She sent out a light drizzle of rain to her targets, bathing them in healing water. She noted with amusement that some of the slimes began to wobble around after being in contact with the pure water, as if they were having a #slimeparty.

Red Fever (3) - Disgust x4

Celestine was gracelessly deposited into a pool of oozing slime outside the temple, where her entire face scrunched up. Vile. Putrid. DISGUSTING.

A golem rose up. It was... well... Vile. Putrid. DISGUSTING!

@Sumire To make it even worse, a quiet magia suddenly drenched her even further! Vile. Putrid. Actually kinda soothing, but also WET and therefore DISGUSTING!

Illusion mages had no need of disgusting (virtual) reality though! They crafted their own reality!

Glancing at those closest to her, she selected a nicely-dressed fox (@Mio Ban), holding out her hand dramatically. "You are looking of the stylish kind: come do my reality a join~!"

Taunting (taunt)

Celestine stood up straight, shining like a bright star: spotless, and beautiful. The #slimeparty had vanished, and a field of flowers stood in its place. Lovely. Colorful. BEAUTIFUL!

Beside her, @Mio Ban stood, all the muck having vanished. It was only them and the giant golem. A microphone appeared in Celestine's hand; whatever her new friend requested, she'd have it!

And then she sang...

(C#)
Gold and silver, we do us the compare,
Only in dungeons we do us the stare.
Lovely, majestic; do our colors a wear!
Everyone be loving: temples so square,
May adventurers' hearts do you the share!

Power and the danger but, your loot does us a shine,
And we do the taking: your munies be mine!
Right to the end, do a seek what is fine,
Then spend, do a live, and be drink the fine wine,
You not be regret when with us you do sign.

Red Fever (3) - (Joy)

It was painful, being struck by the golem. She wore a weary expression as her ink stained hands moved up again, delicate claws like brush tips rising from her fingertips as she saw the golem stand. Turning back to @Selene she flashed a more hopeful smile, things were getting dangerous, but they were making incredible progress, she felt they were so close, they just needed another push until they gathered everything. "Selene, if you could keep gathering materials, I'll be close behind you." She spoke hopeful that her friend would be able to gather enough for the both of them, the Golem's appearance being a threat to her and her friends she wanted to at least try to slow it down even if she couldn't beat it with everyone's help.

It seemed @Celestine was one who would be stepping up to take the brunt of things, Mio could only bitterly hang her head to one side. The girl had a style very similar to her own... But Mio wasn't one to allow herself to be outshone. She might not have the presence of the singer girl... but no one would be able to say she wasn't one with artistic vision.

"Mph, calling it 'YOUR' reality." She pouted as her tail flicked, one became two, became four, became six as they fanned out behind her, the black ink of her hands stained each tip like a calligraphy brush. Her make up thickening around her eyes into thick black lines, and her inky claws becoming sturdier and combat ready. "Overlay Technique: Myriad Interwoven Illusions~" Mio spoke with a wide grin as she began to move her hands causing the color of Celestine's form to pop, gradually the singing girl would transition from a lifelike figure to a more stylized drawing. Even the #Slimeparty was stylized into a more beautified pool of... something.

With neat line art and dynamic color, Mio's power began to bleed out over Celestine's own turning each second into an elaborate painting that evolved with each action or movement. Every movement she took hand drawn by astral hands and every sway of the flowers re-painted and positioned with brush-like tails as her limbs moved in concert to keep the imagery flowing naturally. It wasn't only enhancing the appeal, but within Mio's painting world, Celestine would be safer, as those drawing hands and tails would interfere with any threat coming her way while painting injuries onto the golem itself forcing her art onto the creature's body. "Trying to outshine me~" She complained still even with a joyous smile as they both seemed to fight with similar illusions.

Well, if @Mio Ban told her to keep looking for ingredients, then looking for ingredients she would go. Of course, she just wasn't very good at it. It felt like she was probably searching the areas that people had already combed over, but she had no clue where she was or where she was going. It should have been embarrassing, should have left her scrambling to just hit the log out button and then smashing her gear into pieces.

And it would, if not for the unnatural joy that crept through her body.

So instead, all she could do was gather a measely handful of small, pitiful mushrooms, perhaps the scraps that had been passed over by the others.

She'd let everybody down...

At least the #slimeparty was over...

Omega Faction
Red Fever (3) = 6 Disgust
-25 DMG from big boi
+9 thanks to moist heals

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!" Whatever sobs and cries Omega would have continued to do, she couldn't. As, just as she was about to recover from her fall, she got yeeted out of the temple! And by a slime-sewage-system, of all things!

Disgusting.
Just... disgusting.

"UTTERLY DISGUS-Blaouwegheoijhf" Splashing once again in the sea of slime, which cushioned yet another fall, whatever noises Omega tried to make were drained out by more slime-bathing. "YOU DISGUSTING P- BLBLBLBL" And if that still wasn't enough, Omega found herself being bathed in slime a third time thanks to the gigantic Magiteks-Titan awakening sequence.

She was disgusted.
Utterly, absolutely disgusted.
@Sumire wet shower was, in her mind, just more slime too.
But, with the unnatural disgust she felt, came also the anger.
And oohhh did she also start to feel angry.

Her face showed nothing but pure contempt and loathing. Her breaths were heavy. "I'll do it..." She mumbled to herself. "I'll just frigging do it..." Even dropping her third-person pronouns for a moment. "OMEGA WILL BLOW UP THE ENTIRE SWAMP!" She would have none of that #slimeparty.

Instead, she took a step back. Away from these disgusting illusions and these disgusting, loud people. "I'll show you..." With a dark mime, she slightly raised her hands, as if conducting something: Opening multiple small rifts around her.

Summoning, in fact. With small Magitek explosives plopping out of these, gravity making them land in the swamp below.

"Omega will show you..."

Pure, genuine hatred. As she lowered her arms, the swamp below vibrating ever so slightly. Aeromancy, used to lift the grenades up again in the air.

"Terrasphere isn't big enough for two final bosses." The in slime drenched explosives hovered menacingly for just a moment.

"ZERO OUT OF TEN! YOUR SLIME SHTICK MAKES THIS WHOLE EXPERIENCE NOT. WHOLESOME. NOT. EPIC. NOT. COOL. NOT. FUN!!!!!! NICHT. LUSTIG." And with a cry of anger, she sent them flying against the titan.

BOOM
A singular explosion, and many more to come. Potentially endangering the close up group of @Toko @Kat Otsu and @Zelrius.
But Omega did not care.

PLOP

PLOP
PLOP PLOP PLOP PLOP

The other Magitek grenades? Thanks to being covered in slime, all a dud, as they fell down into the swamp below once again.

"AAAAAAAAAHHH GOSH DARNIT! THIS IS ALL SO YUCKY AND STUPID!"

Although catching the trilobite hadn't been as straightforward as Mizuki had hoped, nevertheless they had managed in the end, thanks to Celestine grabbing hold of one while it was trying to run away from the lupine huntress. With the rarest of the ingredients having been caught Mizuki should have been feeling good, but instead she was getting depressed as she thought about how she hadn't really achieved anything. She'd just scared a little beast so it ran into the hands of one of her companions, which was hardly an achievement.

She didn't have much time to ponder her failure, however, as the temple rumbled and slime began to flow in from all directions. Before she could figure out why Mizuki was unceremoniously ejected from the temple together with everyone else, leaving her with a faceful of slime as she landed in the swamp. Pushing herself up, the wolfkin spat out some of the slime as her eyes watered. First, she messed up trying to help gather ingredients, and now this! Her good mood from minutes ago had drained away entirely, leaving only a feeling of despair over the ruination of what seemed like a good day at first.

Standing up she turned back towards the large golem that was being formed out of the temple's remains, her eyes narrowing even as tears formed wet trails down her slime-stained cheeks. Her day might be ruined, but she wasn't going to stop trying to at least get something out of this expedition. And if that meant breaking that stone golem into tiny pieces, that was what she would do.

Charging forward she quickly closed the gap between herself and the ᛗᚨᚷᛁᚴᚱᛟᚾᛟᛋ, fangs bared as she smashed her fists against its legs with enough force to shatter stone. She could feel the shock of the impact travel up her bones, and despite everything, she could feel some gratitude that her body was sturdy enough that she didn't have to worry about breaking bones.

Continuing the assault, smashing the golem's legs, again and again, to try and make it fall down so she could more easily crush the head, Mizuki joined the #SlimeParty.

After having captured some of the slimes to bring back into the camp, Moonsong discovered that they can talk and are actually pretty chill. For their fate, however, she can't say the same. "Who could've guessed these things listen better than humans? People should take notes." She threw a shade towards the ever-angry @Zelrius while floating around near the temple where everyone else is gathering from when it suddenly rumbles.

And the temple itself then bursts, sending rocks and stones everywhere. Moonsong wasn't prepared enough to block the sudden explosion, prompting her to quickly summon a greatsword to block the aftershock. It cracked the weapon, which in turn drained a portion of her power. "What's... that thing?" A massive figure rises from the smoke and dust of the temple explosion, as the newly formed golem is ready for attack.

Moonsong was ready for combat before Trevis prompted that some of the ingredients are missing as a result of the burst, and they need to collect more if they want to be paid. "Ah! Of course, who wouldn't want money! Leave it to me!"

The more reason to leave the active combat zone. Moonsong and her #slimeparty then floated away on her greatsword, searching for the manashrooms that are not eviscerated yet.

Cyrus picked himself up with a groan, rubbing at his temple. "Ha-ha, that was clumsy of me." He felt strangely amused – maybe he'd hit his head harder than he'd thought? He had no time to think about it though, because a siren resounded. Then, slime began pouring from everywhere.

As he was swept out alongside the others, Cyrus found enjoying himself immensely. "Ouooo—WHOOOOOP!!" His shrieks of excitement and laughter echoed of the walls as he was ejected out of the temple. In that moment, it felt to him like he was on a thrilling slide, or on one of those wild roller coasters.

He was thrown out of the temple with a thud, and while he was still regaining his bearings, the building transformed into a golem. "Whooooa," he whistled, amazed. Even when the monster assembled its massive sword and begun swinging it around, Cyrus' fun times were not to be deterred. He danced and jumped around, avoiding the swings, though a gale of wind still knocked into him and sent him flying.

Though it'd shaved off some of his HP, it was as if the Beastfolk did not notice. It wasn't a bad feeling, flying through the air like that. "Hehehe," he wheezed out a chuckle. When he began falling, he noticed a pool of slime underneath him. "CANNONBALL!" he exclaimed, curling himself up as he dropped down, and produced a large splash around him.

He resurfaced with a gurgle, some of the slime monsters actually helping him out. "Heeey, guys, thanks!" Cyrus looked around, and saw that the slime were unexpectedly helping the players out. "Hell yeah, time to #slimeparty!!"

His lips were stretched into a manic smile as he ran around the swamp, staying clear of the golem. He weaved in between the players, encouraging the amazing duo of @Celestine and @Mio Ban with excited clapping, and a shout of, "Yeeeeeah, that's the way to do it! BRAVO!"

At the reminder that they still had ingredients to gather, he nodded, and began looking around as he jogged. He spotted a mandragora, ran up to it, and scooped it out easily. "Nice!"
