Out of all the places in Astorea, Spyre was certainly one of the hardest to reach; the town was built on the caprock of a towering Plateau. Not that height is a problem for Moonsong, but it took ages to even reach this place due to the bad transportation infrastructure. Flying up directly costs a lot of magic, which is not ideal.
The path was too steep for carriages, so she opted to travel by horse. And even by traveling with horse standard, it's still a long way up; it's not like she could Skyrim her way up to the mountain with them.
Although the town itself was not large, the people living there are quite well-off from the rare ore mining; the primary business of the area. Recently, they have had difficulties getting in and out of the town because of reports of wyvern attacks. Naturally, the factions quickly send their capable members to sort out this problem, as they probably wouldn't want ore shortages.
"Reports of occasional attacks by a horde of small wyverns around the area," She raised her right eyebrow at the paper she was holding, "Small wyverns, huh." Small wyverns don't hunt around human territories, as they are too scared of humans. Where's the adult wyvern?
Weird.
With a hefty bounty, of course Moonsong took the job without further delay. "We're here." She's not alone in this investigation, though, as other travelers with different goals are joining her. With heavy steps, they arrived at the mining town of Spyre.
