Scythe Mastery Spirit Magic Aeromancy Corrupt
Kyra stepped back as MAI took the lead on the conversation, explaining the difference between magic, and what upgrades she was looking to incorporate into the farming equipment. She had to admit, for someone who had stated they weren't great at speaking, MAI's explanation was far better than anything Kyra could have provided to the elderly woman.
Nymmie had placed her knitting work down, eyeing up the Magia girl with squinted eyes. A soft humming came from the older woman's throat, before she finally spoke in response. Her voice was crackly, signifying the age of the speaker, far more than the appearance did.

"You're one of them robot-people, aren't you? Those folks who are more machine than actual person?"
Kyra felt her tail droop as the woman seemed to glare at MAI, worried that they were going to get a negative response. She had hoped this would be the solution, even though she was aware that the people here were far less welcoming than other areas of the world. The fact that they had accepted help from Kyra alone was surprising, but she had made her intentions fairly well known, having healed a few of the individuals in the village itself previously.

"We don't normally like your kind...bring a lot of damage, a lot of problems with you. Never any good. Always rampaging, causing destruction. I've heard the stories, from afar, about how your kind have caused so much havoc."
Kyra raised her hand as she spoke up, a hesitant smile on her face as she began speaking in MAI's defence.

"Well, in MAI's defence she's fairly new to the area, and I've known her for a bit now and can speak to her..."
She slowed to a halt as Nymmie glared at her, a slight scowl on her face. Ears pinned back against her head, and tail tucked against her back, Kyra took a half-step backwards to try and escape the older woman's aggressive gaze.

"I was bout to say...we normally wouldn't trust ya, but things are a bit...dire, round here. I don't think we gots much of a choice in the matter anymore, and if you gots solutions that will help us get these fields harvested, well...whom am I to say nah to that?"
She gave a wave of her hand, clearly dismissing the two as she turned back to her knitting. Kyra gave a slight tug on MAI's shirt, before leading her away from the area and towards a nearby barn. She had been in here once before, when she'd first spoken with the elderly of the area.
She carefully pulled the door open as they arrived, sliding it to the side just enough to allow them to enter before slipping inside herself. Inside, was a collection of various farm tools - everything from hand-held scythes, to push-based tilling machines, and even pull-based wagons and assorted vehicles. What was lacking, was anything that could be handled through any sort of motorised, or self-propelled means.
Kyra wandered towards the centre, waving a hand around the area as she went, trying to draw MAI's attention to all of it.

"This is what they've got to work with...all of it requires them to either handle it manually, or have some sort of beast hooked up to it. Which would be fine...if all the younglings hadn't taken the beasts to get to town..."
