This place was originally beautiful. A space, between the many galaxies, their stars shining brightly; a place that would definitely remind everyone of their innocent childhood. Just staring into the starry night sky, without any problems in the world.

Instead, the cosmos was dim. Stars were dying and planets were either slowly turning frozen or just dusted away. The peaceful melody echoing through the vacuum of space? Gone, replaced by the eerie silence of the long-bygone creation.

And in the middle of it all, a bed. A woman slept, breathing heavily while holding onto the pillow tightly, hoping that the destruction would end soon. Of course, it was not going to end soon. All the lives in her world would finally die, replaced by new ones.

A ripple formed at the edge of the universe, opening a path to a familiar dream invader with questions to ask.

And answers to demand.

The voice echoed within her mind, the lingering traces of a nightmare from which she desperately wished to wake and yet her body refused to grant her this one blessing. The blonde found herself engulfed by darkness, unable to tell up from down or even see the hand right before her face—not even when the tip of her nose touched the open palm.

Please, take me somewhere else… anywhere else, so long as it's far away from that thing!

It was then she finally noticed a few dimming specks of light in the distance, using them as an anchor in this endless expanse of darkness. She willed her way towards them, sparing no thought for where they might lead or to whom, all she wanted was a way out of this place and perhaps this was the ticket she’d been looking for.

"Fuck!"

A ripple formed at the edge of this dream world before the figure of a blond elf fell right through it, a surprised gasp leaving her lips when she realized the ground was still a few feet away, before tumbling across the floor of this place from the momentum that had carried her over.

Luthien landed on an asteroid belt, a surface she had stepped on a week ago. But this time, the whole place was vastly different; the environment was akin to a dead void. There's still the same bed though in the middle of the space, where she could see Dayeon sleeping, curling up like a little girl wearing a familiar attire. There was no sign of a particular blonde guard whatsoever.

Upon walking closer to the bed, a star in the distance exploded, creating another bigger rupture in space. This time, something slowly formed inside the rupture; lights coming together, building a mirage of something... No, an image even, the image of a place that the blonde would recognize.

Camp Hope IV.

The edges of the spacetime rupture gradually collapsed, revealing more and more of the image, which started to move. There are sounds of fire, lighting, and people shouting suddenly echoing through the void. It has become clear enough that this scene was a memory of Camp Hope Siege, replaying back in her dreams to haunt her.

Her worst nightmare.

The memory was as clear as it could be. A death machine running rampant on the battlefield, causing destruction and death. The view suddenly panned toward a dead body, its head suddenly being detached and retracted back into the machine. The head of a green-haired male.

Kenji.

Moonsong's inner thoughts could be heard loudly across the nothingness of outer space. There was despair, hopelessness, and denial in the air as the robot began to mimic the personality of the dead man.

"I'm right here, Kenji. I'm not going anywhere this time. Tell me what you want, tell me what you need. Anything."

Her cry for plea boomed, as the view focused on the transformed machine. The owner of the eyes slowly walked towards the robot who refused to attack her, allowing her to slowly climb the camp crusher. "I'm sorry. I wasn't a good woman for you."

Rain falls. Not in the memory inside the rupture, but in the whole place itself. Tears slowly ran down the cheeks of the sleeping brunette. "I will throw everything away, for you, for us. We can be together again, forever. So, please..."

Yes, it's suddenly raining in dead outer space.

"... Please stop."

"Owww..."

It always baffled her how realistic these dreams could be, the blonde groaning in protest as a hand moved to softly rub a particularly sore spot while her eyes took in the surroundings. A feeling of familiarity soon rushed the elf, even if the current place looked nothing like she remembered from a week ago the elf could tell that she’d been here—a fact soon confirmed as the familiar bed and the curled figure within it finally caught Lúthien’s attention.

"... Dee?"

There was a mix of emotions that whirled inside the blonde’s chest, causing it to tighten before her eyes cautiously swept around the place in search of another figure—but she was nowhere to be found, at least for the time being. Unconsciously the elf began to bite the inside of her cheek, the sharp pain that suddenly flared up when she bit down a bit too hard enough to snap Lúthien from whatever rabbit hole of thoughts she’d been falling through as the ranger finally got to her feet. Slow steps carried her closer to the bed, the distant echo of another star dying with a bang barely registering at first as the girl strained to get a look of the brunette’s face who wore the little pajama set that Lúthien gifted her a week prior.

Finally the warping lights pulled her gaze away from Dayeon to look in the direction of the space rupture, Lúthien’s eyes narrowing slightly in confusion as the image of Camp Hope IV suddenly came into view. "What the…?" The image continued to expand just as the elf carefully lowered herself to sit at the edge of Dayeon’s bed, the shouts of people and sounds of combat now coming through as well as the archer was treated to her first ever glimpse of the siege she had missed while traversing the woods in search of Sven.

"I had someone once. We were perfect... I shouldn't have gone to Korea." Those particular words had stuck in her memory the most, now resurfacing in Lúthien’s mind as the girl listened to the dream that was playing out before her eyes. "I'm right here, Kenji. I'm not going anywhere this time.”

Hands gripped the bed sheets tightly as her fingers balled into small fists, the dream and feelings of Dayeon that were currently pouring unfiltered into her elven mind threatening to overwhelm the dream traveler. ”Go figure things out, take things slow. Don't be a selfish dumbass like me.” A strong sense of guilt quickly washed over the blonde as she continued to watch the unfolding memory, remembering the careless words she’d uttered back then to Dayeon without truly knowing the story behind this Kenji and her.

At first she’d thought the sound of rain had been from the memory, before droplets quickly began to fall upon them. The ones that had fallen on her shoulders had gone unnoticed at first, Luthien only seeming to snap out of whatever trance of thoughts and emotions the elf had been in when a particularly large drop smacked onto the tip of her nose. Another fell on her cheek, the drop rolling down Lúthien’s skin before it reached the girl’s lips and spread between them—causing the blonde to lick them in response before stopping as a light salty flavor tickled her taste buds.

These are tears…? Dee’s tears.

The realization caused her gaze to finally tear away from the memory and back to the curled up woman, elven brows furrowing slightly as the blonde struggled to decide what to do. A large part of her felt like she shouldn’t be here, shouldn’t be watching this without the woman’s permission, but Lúthien had yet to figure out how to make this dreamshare thing stop… nevermind actually figure out how to get out of dreams, more often than not it felt the owners of the realm kicked her out instead of the girl finding a way to exit them.

"... Please stop."

She bit her lip once more, the earnest plea that tumbled from the woman’s lips a familiar and known one for Valeria—she’d lost count of how many times those same words, accompanied by similar heart wrenching feelings, had tumbled out of her lips throughout her life. "... Dee?" Carefully a hand reached towards the sleeping woman, stopping by her face to gently wipe away the tears staining the brunette’s cheek, before it finally rested atop Dayeon’s shoulder as Lúthien shook it softly.

"Wake up, Dee."

"Wake up, Dee."

Even with the gentle shake the elf applied to the brunette, she refused to wake up, as if she didn't want to see this part of her memory ever again. The drizzle continued as the rupture continuously enlargen.

I'm gonna take you to the big stage, I promise.

"Kenji, that's enough. We're already here, we're together."

Time stops as the killing machine jumped into lightspeed, threatening to destroy what was between it and Camp Hope. Once it exits the lightspeed, everyone will die; she had to choose between many lives or her love.

"Stop running. Just stop thinking about that promise. We are not destined for greatness, just stay with me. "

The view went closer as she went for the kiss, before using the blade to decapitate the person she loved.

"I love you."

Now decommissioning Processor-3.

5, 4, 3, 2, 1

Moonsong didn't even bother to move. She stayed there, clutching the head of her beloved until the end. Another star exploded in the distance as the memory switched to static.

Then the rain stopped.

"... Val?" The brunette weakly muttered with her dry throat upon noticing the blonde sitting on the side of her bed. Her hands tried to reach the elf's face, "How are you here—" The question was quickly interrupted as the next segment of her memory played. This time, the environment was very blurry, as if the person was badly intoxicated. But the constant moaning and suspicious mouth sounds echoing in the space, combined with Dayeon's suddenly reddened face confirmed one thing.

This was a very intimate memory.

The view moved back and forth, fixating on what looked like a man's lower abdomen. Grunts of the male gradually reverberated in this place along with the moaning that certainly belonged to Moonsong. It was when the pair of eyes slowly panned up that Luthien's nightmare came true, as it revealed the identity of her intimate partner, looking down at her proudly.

Yugam, the Hunter.

Fear quickly blasted through the air like a shockwave upon realization, the brunette slowly turning to the younger woman, trying to salvage things. "V-val, th-this is n-not what it lo-looks like."

The soft shake that Lúthien applied to the brunette’s shoulder seemed to have zero effect, the drizzling around them continuing as the space and time rupture in this realm enlarged further. She had been about to shake the woman again when a new voice had suddenly echoed through Dayeon’s dream world, the conversation playing out causing the blonde to pause as her eyes eventually drifted back to the scene.as it unfolded.

Every thought that crossed Moonsong’s mind then is directly shared into her own head, the hand that held the bed sheets between her fingers gripping the fabric even tighter—causing the skin above her knuckles to whiten in response. This part of the memory definitely hit too close to home, the blonde’s vision blurring as tears began to pool in her eyes. ”... just stay with me." Her mind can’t help but link the playing memory of Dayeon to her own fresh ones, the lifeless stare in Yugam’s face something the elf was sure would haunt her dreams in a similar manner to the brunette’s current nightmare.

To sacrifice one for the sake of the many… Valeria wasn’t sure she would’ve been able to make the same selfless sacrifice as Dayeon had it been Ari and herself placed in such a position.

"I love you."

She had looked away the moment the woman’s blade had come for the man’s neck, the sickening sound of steel tearing through flesh causing her chest to tighten even as the hand that had been touching Dayeon moved to cover her elven lips. The face of Fiora briefly flashed across her mind; one moment it was the usual confident smile found on her elven face, before it suddenly flickered and gave way to the torn and severed remains of the knightess just before the vines had pulled them all away. Lúthien didn’t need to see the rest of the memory with her eyes to know what followed next, the never changing tone in the voice of the countdown a clear indicator that Moonsong never even tried to escape, before the blinding bright light penetrated even her closed eyelids. The sounds of the explosion were drowned out at that moment, probably never heard by the songstress as she’d been blown to smithereens along with the head of her beloved.

"... Val?"

A weak voice caught Lúthien’s attention then, her true name tumbling out of the lips of the brunette just as the blonde felt the bed shift in response to Dayeon’s movements as she finally woke up. A hand had reached over to the girl’s face just as Lúthien turned to finally look at the older woman, the redness at the edge of her eyes a clear giveaway that she too had been crying.

"I’m sorry, Dee!"
"How are you here—"
" I swear Dee, I didn’t mean to see your memories—!"

Whatever else Lúthien had meant to say got caught in her throat just as another memory began to play out, the elf able to see the motion picture from the corner of her eyes though the visuals were not what had caused the blonde to pause so abruptly. No, it had been the sounds that had caught the blonde by surprise—the low grunts of approval echoing from the man’s throat causing her breathing to momentarily stop as the girl seemed to freeze in her spot. Another rumbling sound of pleasure echoed then, and Valeria suddenly felt like someone had dumped a bucket full of iced water right over her head.

Her eyes turned away from the woman that the blonde had considered a friend as the visuals of the memory slowly came into view with the motion, just in time to watch as Moonsong’s view turned up to look at the face of a very pleased looking Yugam. "What… w-why?" Her eyes widened in response as realization slowly sunk in, the words barely above a whisper even as Lúthien continued to watch the recollection playing before her. Dayeon’s words were barely heard, the girl’s ears currently hyper focused on the memory itself instead, and no acknowledgement came from Lúthien that she’d even heard the brunette.

One hand reached up towards her own chest before her fingers curled around the orange whistle that dangled from a leather cord around her neck, a part of the elf almost able to hear the very moment her heart began to crack and shatter just as a suffocating pressure threatened to cave her chest into itself.

Her effort to explain herself was quickly interrupted by the loud grunting of massive pleasure, before the sight of Moonsong diligently cleaning the tip with her tongue came into view.

"What… w-why?"

"I-I swear, this-this is a misundersta—"
Her inner thoughts betrayed her as her soft intoxicated voice echoed, drowning out Dayeon's stuttered words.

Maybe he'll call me a good girl. Maybe he'll give me more.
Maybe he'll hold me tight. Maybe he'll give me his warmth.

The view quickly rotated as Moonsong faced the other way, her body pressed firmly onto the bed, the Hunter behind her ready to claim his prey. Panicked as she realized what was coming, Dayeon tried to get up and sit with her fragile body, both hands on the elf's shoulders trying to shake and convince her to hear her explanations. "Val, l-listen to me. Th-the flower—"

A pain-filled piercing scream suddenly echoed through the space, emotions of pain mixed with pleasure filled the void as the inevitable happened. Dayeon's eyes opened wide as she froze. There was no saving any of this. To Luthien's eyes, she was just a betrayer, playing with her feelings. Guilt quickly overtook her as she tried to block out her own lust-filled moans that reverberated all across the place.

"A-a-ar-ri-i."

That was the last straw that broke the camel's back. If was any chance at redemption before, it was quickly swept away as Moonsong's own voice called out to the Hunter's true name, longing for the warmth she sought so badly. The action escalated as his lips met hers, hands wandering to her chest and the nether regions below before finally culminating in a climax, as multiple stars exploded in conjunction with the ecstasy spreading in the air.

Not only ecstasy. Adoration.

Hold me.

The last memory was of her looking him in the eyes before passing out.

Dayeon had almost given up any hope of explanation, but she still had to at the very least told her what actually happened, that the tree was capable of controlling emotions. "... Val, it's the tree. It's—"

"I-I swear, this-this is a misundersta—"

Dayeon’s words sounded so far away then, barely audible to the blonde as she remained transfixed by the playing memory—but unlike before Lúthien never made an effort to look away.

{ Maybe he'll call me a good girl. Maybe he'll give me more.
Maybe he'll hold me tight. Maybe he'll give me his warmth. }

Those inner thoughts rang clear as day to the elf however, each word etched right into her mind even as the view changed once more. It seemed Dayeon’s wishes had been answered just moments after, causing the girl’s eyes to water up once again as she was shown the one thing Valeria had hoped beyond hope that hadn’t been true.

"Val, l-listen to me. Th-the flower—"

The woman’s excuses were drowned out as a pained cry echoed through the space, the touch of Dayeon’s hands on her shoulder going unnoticed for the time being. The ranger’s mouth was slightly agape in astonishment as she continued to watch the recollections of the woman’s memories, the moisture in her eyes threatening to overflow now as the pain within her chest only seemed to increase. Valeria felt like she could barely breathe—

"A-a-ar-ri-i."

Her heart stopped the second his real name had left Dayeon’s lips in a pleasurable moan, the tears that the elf had barely been able to hold back finally overflowing as they began to roll down her cheeks. He’d pulled Dayeon closer then, their lips hungrily seeking out one another, before the chorus of their climax was further accentuated by the various stars that chose to explode all around the two throughout this rift in time and space.

{ Hold me. }
"Stop!"

A single command was cried out by the girl as Lúthien reached the limit of what she could bear, attempting for the first time to actually bend the space around them to her will instead of its natural state. She finally became aware of the hands grasping onto her shoulders, the blonde’s own arms raising to push them away as hardened crimson eyes glared in the songstress direction—still glimmering with plenty of unshed tears and the pain she currently felt.

"... Val, it's the tree. It's—"
"Don’t touch me, Dayeon."

Lúthien’s voice lacked any cheer or warmth that Valeria had always shown the woman through the time they’d known one another. Instead a dry and chilly tone clung to every syllable the blonde uttered before her lips pressed into a thin line, a handful of bed sheet fabric grasped into each hand as they had balled into tight fists.

"Don't touch me, Dayeon."

Hearing her own name coming out of Luthien's mouth like that was enough evidence that the elf wasn't having any of this. Dayeon did not give up, though, even after both of her hands were pushed away.

"Th-The tree's flower, it was—"

"Stop!" The elf interrupted, clearly not liking the brunette's excuse. Still determined to set things straight, Dayeon tried to reach closer to her again, before Luthien stood from the bed, making her unable to reach the elf. "i-it was making us do things that we didn't want—"

"You're gonna tell me the tree made you wish he'd hold you tight too?! That he'd praise you for being such a 'good little girl', Dayeon?!"

Reality hit Dayeon harder than a truck. Sure, the lust was forced on them by the pollen spread by the tree. But what about all these audible inner thoughts?

"I-I..."

Had she unknowingly caught some feelings for the Hunter?

"Hey."
A hand was suddenly placed on Luthien's right shoulder as a downpour falls yet again in the space. If she was to look behind, she would finally see the armored blonde woman that was expected to roam the dreamworld. But this time, the blonde was bloody all over her body. Her green gaze looked at the elf's ruby eyes, calmly speaking to her. "Wouldn't you at the very least hear her out? If even you won't listen to her, then..." She looked at Dayeon, who was covering her face with both her hands, crying and ashamed. "... who will?"

"I-I never w-wanted an-any of this..."
The brunette stuttered, trying her best to let out words as her voice cracked. "... I-it hurts, it hurts s-so bad..." Realizing that nothing she say would make Luthien understand, she broke down and apologized. "... I-I'm sor-sorry, Val."

Her mind was a mess of emotions right then, but among them one definitely stood out the most: anger. She wasn’t one to cut others’ speech, not purposely at least, but so far she’d interjected twice whenever words began tumbling out of Dayeon’s lips. The older woman had tried to reach towards her once more, but unlike before Lúthien had been aware of the songstress movement now. Before Dayeon could get a hold of the ranger she’d already stood from the bed, placing a few extra steps between them for good measure as sharp words were directed towards the brunette.

"I-I..."

It seemed her words had truly struck a nerve this time around, the look on Dayeon’s face clear for the elf to see before an exasperated sigh left her lips. Her hands rose to cover her face just as a muffled cry of frustration escaped, before the hands moved towards her scalp as Lúthien’s fingers tangled into the tresses of blonde hair upon her crown. She could feel her rapidly beating pulse, the body temperature of the elf slowly rising in response, before a sudden downpour befell them once more. Fingers finished running through her hair then, untangling some of them, before her arms wrapped against her rapidly soaking frame as the contrasting cold of the rain caused the ranger to shiver in response.

”Hey.”

A hand suddenly fell on her shoulder, causing the elf to flinch in response before she instinctively stepped away from the source of the unexpected contact. Crimson eyes quickly turned towards the figure as words began stumbling from her lips. "I said don’t touch me—" However the archer was quickly silenced as she got a proper view of the other entity that seemed to call this place home, the bloodied and battered state of her body having caught Lúthien off guard as a result.

”If even you won't listen to her, then… who will?"

She wanted to scream back to the unknown figure, tell her to fuck off and mind her own damned business instead of sticking her nose into their matters, but instead the ranger bit her tongue back—quite literally—as the rain continued to soak through her clothing and the cold reached to her very bones. Green eyes finally looked away from her, turning instead to glance in the direction of the bed, and after a pause Lúthien’s own gaze followed to focus on the whimpering Dayeon as she struggled with her own words.

"... I-I'm sor-sorry, Val."

The elf could feel her own eyes watering once more, her own tears hard to distinguish from the unrelenting raindrops that assaulted her face, as frustration continued to build inside the elf when a new wave of emotions coming from Dayeon crashed into her mind. She could feel the pain of the older woman, the way her chest felt like it was caving into itself mirroring Lúthien’s own, and it caused the ranger to grit her teeth in response before an irritated cry escaped her lips.

"FUUUCK!!!"

Hands had returned to her head once more, the faint throbbing of a forming headache upsetting the already aggravated elf, before her fingers interlaced themselves onto her hair once more. She ran her hands through it a few times, a self soothing motion that the blonde often unconsciously defaulted to in moments of extreme stress or duress, before a long and exhausted sigh finally escaped from the girl. She finally allowed her feet to carry her closer to the bed once more, gingerly sitting at the very edge of the bed though her eyes refused to look directly at the crying brunette—she couldn’t do that, not with the question that she was about to ask Dayeon.

"... you like him, don’t you? You like Ari, Dayeon."

"... you like him, don't you? You like Ari, Dayeon."

The question stabbed her in the heart. It was a question she had no answers to; or rather, a question she had been avoiding asking herself. The elf finally sat back on the edge of the bed, putting some relief on the brunette. But still, she refused to look Dayeon in the eyes.

"... I-I d-don't k-know. Val, I-I..."

"Dayeon, breathe." The woman with a thick british accent sternly ordered her, to which the brunette complied. It apparently didn't help much as she still stumbled through her words anyway. The woman slowly clutched her left chest like it was going to explode, "It h-hurts, he-here... But then—"

"—The w-way he look-looked at m-me when w-we were one-e..."

The blonde woman cursed, "Bloody hell," before making her way closer to the bed and pushing Dayeon's head, causing the woman to fall back asleep instantly. The armored protector exhaled, turning to Luthien to ask for her understanding. The fact that she's currently not angry and growling when the elf first met her was more terrifying. "She's not currently in any shape to speak. Just look at the condition of this place." The outer space was very dark; there was not even a single star left to illuminate the vast galaxy.

Slowly pulling the blanket to cover Dayeon, she asked the elf to leave the place. "You too. Get some rest." The blonde deeply exhaled once more, explaining to Luthien. "I'm being reasonable like this because part of this was my fault, too. I wasn't strong enough to ward away the tree's influences."

"But next time you make it rain down here..." As the woman openly threatened the elf with her deathly stare, the air around the place suddenly became sickening. The overwhelming wrath that Luthien felt during the fight with the Everwhite was back, and now Luthien finally knew its source. A towering figure of an armored knight manifested just behind the bed, looking down at them as her voice boomed through the universe, before dissipating shortly "... Pardon me, a force of habit. Don't be too hard on her. It's been... too much for her lately."

The woman ran her fingers through sleeping Dayeon's dark hair, slowly caressing her while muttering.

"Dayeon, you stupid fuck. There's no rain in outer space. Stop crying."

"—The w-way he look-looked at m-me when w-we were one-e..."

Those words felt like someone had stabbed a knife right into her heart, and then wrenched it for good measure, the elf scowling in response as her fingers grabbed onto the sheets when Lúthien’s hands balled into two tight fists. She bit the inside of her cheek harder than intended, and while the pain didn’t compare to the one the blonde felt in her chest it at least helped to hold her tongue before she lashed out verbally at Dayeon once again.

"Bloody hell."

Perhaps Dayeon’s companion sensed that this conversation wasn’t going anywhere fast, or perhaps she wanted to avoid the brunette further digging her own grave, but quick strides had soon brought the woman closer to the bed before she pushed Dayeon lightly on the head—the action causing the songstress to pass out on her bed once more. A frown crossed her features as crimson eyes turned to meet the emerald gaze of this unknown figure, and while Lúthien did not enjoy watching someone else have such control over a person she couldn’t deny that the woman had a point.

"No shit, hard to form coherent thoughts when you’re passed out on a bed most of the time."

Lúthien was too exhausted at this point to bother measuring her words, her eyes finally trailing in a different direction before the elf noticed the darkness slowly creeping into this plane. The last of the stars in the space slowly fizzled out, the once starry expanse of galaxies now reduced to a simple black and empty cold void. "You too. Get some rest." The words caused Lúthien to look back in time to watch the woman grab the blankets on the bed, carefully wrapping them around the sleeping form of Dayeon as she tucked the songstress in. She still had no clue as to who this presence was, or why they seemed to inhabit the deeper parts of Dayeon’s mind, though the actions alone showed she seemingly cared for the brunette—in their own way at least.

"But next time you make it rain down here..."

The threat was not missed by the archer, but instead of flinching away from the woman’s view she returned it in kind. Her quota of fucks to give had been depleted a while ago, the everwhite having made off with most of them, and if any had been left over after that Dayeon had quickly ensured they had been consumed by now. "Don’t pin this shit on me, you’re her little guardian angel or whatever the fuck—make sure she doesn’t do dumb shit again and your shitty weather issues will be solved." There was an edge to her words that was accompanied by a defiant look in the archer’s eyes, signs that clearly showed this wasn’t Valeria’s first rodeo with an authoritative figure that should be able to wipe the floor with her under normal circumstances—she would have zero qualms about clapping back if the woman decided to go down that route.

Instead the woman excused herself lightly, her hand reaching over to Dayeon’s face before fingers carefully ran through the woman’s hair. The figure asked for Lúthien to be understanding of the brunette, highlighting how tough things seemingly had been for the songstress as of late, and the elf couldn’t hold back the indignant scoff that escaped through her lips in response—the taste of iron slowly spreading through her mouth as Lúthien bit her bottom lip hard to avoid voicing out her current thoughts. A long moment paused as the elf remained silent, her gaze now looking at nothing in the big expanse, before she finally felt composed enough to try speaking once more.

"So, mysterious fairy godmother of Dayeon… how the fuck do I get out of here?"

She’d had more than enough of this place and the raindrops that continued to fall on them…

"No shit, hard to form coherent thoughts when you're passed out on a bed most of the time." The elf has a good point, but sadly she had to do this to prevent Dayeon from getting punched to death inside her own dreams. "You'd be surprised to know how much shit like this I prevented on a daily basis."

There was a long awkward silence, as Dayeon was sleeping soundly while the other two women didn't have anything else to talk about. The heroine was wiping the tears off the brunette's peaceful sleeping face before Luthien finally spoke.

"So, mysterious fairy godmother of Dayeon… how the fuck do I get out of here?"

"Fairy godmother... That's what I am reduced to, huh?" She chuckled, amused at the concept. The woman laughed for a while, before sliding her visor upwards, giving a clear look at her face. "Guess that's what I am, then."

"The same way you came here, wait a minute—"
Is it possible that this elf had been accidentally dreamwalking into Dayeon's domain, all this time? Without full control of this incredible power? "—forget about it. There." With the snap of the fingers of her dark gauntlet, the blonde human created a rift in this dark void of space, light beaming from outside of it.

Before Luthien could exit, however, the protector slowly strolled toward the blonde elf, seeing that she was much calmer than before. "This idiot didn't ask for any of this," The woman exhaled again, clearly still in disbelief at how much Dayeon handled this so badly, it was almost beyond saving. "But there's always a reason for everything." That might as well be her catchphrase from now on, seeing that she told people this a lot.

"I don't ask you to forgive her, I just want you to at the very least try to understand her—" Yeah, she would've decorated this place with elven guts if it was up to her. Alas, she was a protector, an assassin no more. "—because you are the only friend she has, Valeria."

Her left hand motioned towards the rift, excusing the elf from the ruined dreamworld.

"Fairy godmother... That's what I am reduced to, huh?"
"Kinda, I guess. Dunno who you are, and something tells me you ain’t keen on sharing that with me anyways."
"Guess that's what I am, then."

As the woman began to tell Lúthien she could leave the same way she’d come the elf couldn’t help the deadpanned look on her features as she stared right back to the older figure, standing from the bed before crossing her arms around her torso as another cold shiver shook her frame. Thankfully it seemed Dayeon’s Fairy Godmother wasn’t dense, quickly picking up on the fact that the ranger had zero clue as to how she’d arrived here—much less how to leave—before she snapped her fingers to create an exit from this dimension for Lúthien.

"Thanks, I’ll get out of your hair now since I’ve no doubt overstayed my welcome by now." A soft nod was given before the archer began to make her way towards the light, before the voice of the unnamed figure caused Lúthien to halt her steps. "This idiot didn't ask for any of this…"

A light frown crossed her elven features as the elf lowered her gaze to the nonexistent ground, quietly chewing the inside of her left cheek as she allowed her ears to listen. Her arms wrapped just a bit tighter around her frame then, though if it was due to the cold produced by the pouring rain in this space or the girl simply feeling too exposed was anyone’s guess. "... because you are the only friend she has, Valeria."

"Yeah, no one ever really asks for these things…" The words were blunt, though they lacked the sharpness that Lúthien held before when she’d confronted Dayeon—a part of her surprised to hear her real life name tumble out of the unknown woman’s lips. Instead the elf sounded exhausted, a heavy sigh escaping her lips as the blonde tilted her head backwards and allowed some of the raindrops to fall onto her face and closed eyes. "Most I can promise is to try... but I’ll need some time."

{ All of us will. }

With that the elf took the remaining steps towards the first, a hand reaching out towards it before the ranger finally disappeared from one ruined dreamworld... back to a reality that Valeria didn't felt ready to face just yet.

Lúthien has exited the thread. ❱

"Most I can promise is to try... but I'll need some time."

"Good enough for me."
She watched as the dream invader walked away, disappearing into the rift of light that closed shortly afterward. Once again, she exhaled.

"As I thought, speaking is hard." That's why solving things with your hands is always the better alternative. But Dayeon obviously wouldn't like that. The protector circled around the bed, before stopping on one side, looking at the brunette sleeping soundly, while tapping her forehead multiple times. "You really got to try and speak up for yourself. I can't always step in to help you."

She stood there for god knows how long, before a white dot in the distance appeared, slowly gaining a glow; signaling the birth of a universe. "Finally," The blonde scoffed, finally seeing light after a while. "It's gonna be my turn in the bed soon." More stars of different colors began to scintillate on the horizon.

"Countless worlds, I would destroy..."

The heroine growled, her fists tightened into a ball. She failed to protect that world of hers before, but now, this is her world. Dayeon Song is her world.

"... just to protect this one."
