"Ahem, ahem? Test. Test. Can you listen to me?"
It wasn't like you could respond, so—

"You can't..? Hmm... Well, anyways. For peace of mind! According to our research, the surface is still relatively safe compared to the depth of the labyrinth, buuuuuuuut you are starting to get into the territory where many of our magitech robots were destroyed while collecting data..."
There was a pause.

"And I know this is all a simulation and all, but like... Try to not die? I guess..? No one has ever actually died in a simulation before, and I'm assuming nothing bad will happen, but after TS being TS, I would be a little cautious, okay? Okay. Good luck!"
Once again, it was only you, your comrades, and the labyrinth...
Location: Labyrinth's Simulacrum - Higher Levels
Time & Weather: ???
The maze part of the labyrinth was long gone by now, but it didn't make things any less disorienting. The meticulously crafted ambient with sharp curves to no particular direction were now replaced by an open cave that a resemblance of something more natural and organic, but still had chunks of structures that made it look like ruins.
Broken pillars, stairs that were sculpted on the rocky ground, torch holders and broken floorings all indicated that something existed in there.
But what truly confirmed it was the terrible smell that suddenly invaded your nostrils. No, it wasn't your teammate that has just farted or anything. It was something much more... Deathly?

"..."
Someone that was aware enough probably would catch a glimpse of a face, camouflaged between the rocks. It was startling, like suddenly spotting a snake that has always been there, but you have never noticed.
The instinct is to warn everyone, but suddenly, a large beast charges in.

"Grrreeek!"
The vanguard barely manage to defend themselves, and the rearguard, ready to counter attack and maybe cover the vanguard, was suddenly targetted by a volley of javelins.

"Ke ke ke ke ke!"
More of these creatures appeared, and they seemed to be enjoying themselves with that ambush... Yet, as if things couldn't get worse, heavy steps followed, and a much larger one appeared.

"Hrrrhmm..."
It clasped its large club on its hand, gripping it tightly and showing a demoniac smile while its lackeys continued to attack you.

Attention! DP Mechanic!
SP is no longer a thing. Whenever you use Hinder, Disrupt, or anything that would usually deal SP damage, it nows generates DP (Disruption Points) instead. For THIS PLAYTEST we will have the following approach:
When you generate DP with any Action, you may immediately spend it in your turn to cause a DP effect. Any DP leftover that you don't spend will be added into the Team's DP pool. Anyone may use the Team's DP pool to trigger the DP effects, and they can even, during a turn they are rolling DP, use the Team's DP pool to complement their roll.
The Team's DP can't be converted into damage via Alter Hinder. The Team's DP only expires at the end of the Encounter.
