Closer to the stage end of the summer festival, things were going just about as one would expect. No one was being too rowdy for the security lining the venue to deal with, and people were truly here to have a good time this year. After how crazy things had been this last few decades, it was a small paradise of forgetting the horrors of the outside world.
Yet despite the atmosphere and peace, black began to flood into the park from the edge of the stage in the form of numerous security officers in dark suits. A small amount of them seemed to be a bit more padded and could be discerned by those familiar with the concept of bodyguards as such. It wouldn't even be hard to figure that they might secretly be
armed. At the center of the mass going against the grain of people who were just there to enjoy themselves, a woman was quickly barking orders. Some in English, some in Japanese, and some even in Swedish on occasion with her hand held up to the headset fixed onto her left ear.
Her attire and makeup was beyond extravagant. In fact it was more accurate to say it was... fantastical. With long black hair and eyes darkened by sunglass contact lenses, the woman already would have stood out in any smaller group of people. Her dress on the other hand bordered the realm of cosplay, pulled out of that hole by how high the quality was. It was sleek, and the patterns gently glistened in the sunlight, giving the impression that such a piece of clothing probably costed more than the headset on her ear.
After a long stream of orders being barked
politely to all of her involved associates, Kaya took a nice deep breath and rubbed her temples. "This is too much. I need a drink..." Once she had muttered this simple phrase, the bodyguard to her left reached up and tapped his own earpiece as he gave directions to the rest of the security in her mob. The ants began to march and mobilize, making a moving walkway for Kaya at its center.
The drink she sought was already being ordered and put together by an insider who was at the concession stands promoting several artists, though the biggest push seemed to be an Idol named Angelique who was not only performing on day six, but was signing autographs and helping promote her own success. Or so she had thought, until she caught sight of the bright pink dress that thankfully dwarfed her own in the field of fantasticalness. There were a couple reasons Kaya was wearing such a strange outfit today, and
Angelique was one of them.
Angelique was also one of the reasons Kaya's headset had been live with activity all morning, so she was admittedly not in the greatest of moods when she saw her standing around talking to some guys and not being as flashy as
Ecclesia had expected of her. Not that she didn't understand the downsides of such pressure herself, but also, she had already helped Angel with that, so the least she could do was try and make Kaya's job easier as well. She gave a mere glance to her closest bodyguard with a tired expression before beginning to march all the way across the park towards her prized idol. "Adding a stop, Angelique needs a reroute."
With another command from the bodyguard, the sea of security fanned out into a completely different formation that fanned the entire stretch from where Kaya currently was, had intended to go originally, and where Angel was standing. All the while, the guards moved to keep people out of Kaya's way and prevent her from being slowed down as much as possible. Time was money, after all.
It wasn't until Kaya got much closer that she fully recognized who Angel was talking to. Some purple-haired girl, which almost looked like another idol next to Angel's own pink hair.
Actually that might be something to evaluate...
But the people she actually recognized, or rather the one important person chaperoning the probably
somewhat important person that she didn't fully recall who they were. Why was
he talking to Angelique? He wasn't trying to steal her away from Ecclesia, was he?
The black-haired woman finally made her approach and replaced her tired expression with an amused grin before either of them could actually see her. Her team of bodyguards stayed close even as she neared, but the rest of her forces stayed spread out across the stretch of the back wall, aka C
oncession Heck.
"Well, now if it isn't the one and only
Isaac," Kaya had slowed up a bit as she made herself known so that she could walk with more grace, "and speaking to my very own prized performer, no less! What a small and interesting world we live in." She was at least courteous enough to not rat the man out by saying his last name, but at the same time she was willing to have her own security peel for him if need be. "And here I thought she had a good reason to not be at her signing! Hahaha..."
She even gave the purple-haired girl a moment of her time as she gave her the briefest of introductions, quick and simple as though she had said it a million times before. "Kaya Ecclesia, Angelique's Marketing Commander." This amount of effort from Kaya was just a little bit strange. Usually she spoke as though she couldn't even be bothered to care if someone was stabbing her in the arm repeatedly, but here she was actually showing expression, even if it was mere politeness in some fraction. "Do any of you need anything? I have drinks on the way already. It's simply too hot to be out here with nothing to sip at, don't you agree?"
