"Ugh, someone needs to pad up the wagons in this world… geeesh!"

There was a groan as the ranger jumped off the back of her cart ride, taking a moment to rub her numb rear before doing a few stretching exercises. A brand new whistle dangled from Lúthien’s neck, a recent acquisition after she’d been around Finweald for a couple of weeks… and the very thing that had brought her all the way out to this humid campsite.

"No one warned me about this weather… ugh, it’s almost like being back on the island."

Needless to say the blonde absolutely hated it already, her hands already rising to tie up her blonde hair in a tight and high ponytail. "Alright, let’s see, they said I’d need to meet up with other players around here… would’ve been nice if they’d been more specific though." She had assumed, perhaps wrongly so, that this meant the League had already slotted her into a formed party… but given the lack of extra information on said party members perhaps she was just meant to form her own out here instead?

"… fuck."

Similarly not understanding what is going on around here, a human woman wanders up. She had walked here, of all things, possibly because she may not have figured out how to charter a wagon. The woman doesn't seem to wear any armor or carry a weapon, and she may also not even be an adventurer, as there is no adventurer tag visible on her person.

The woman seems rather confused, as if she doesn't know where she is supposed to be, which is probably not here. She is muttering in a foreign language, what exactly cannot be made out. She stares intently at a very shitty map, which might have directed her here. She might be holding the map upside-down.

Nevertheless, she has entered the camp and started trying to talk to people in a somewhat disjointed tongue. "Where fight monster?" is a common line among what she is saying. Maybe this was one of these other players the elf was meant to work with? However, given a language barrier, it may be a great trial of patience ahead.

Unlike the new elf friend she was sure to soon make, Sydney had opted to take advantage of the log-out feature for travel. No need to lie on that hard wood floor and endure the bumpy roads when one could simply log out and return right at the destination. How useful! Plus, if she was being honest, Adelaide could only take being Sydney for so long...

... Anyway!

The silver-haired girl hopped off the wagon and ventured into the camp.

What are you so happy about, Syddie...?

"I'm just having fun with my adventures, Addie!" Sydney answered... no one at all. Odd. "Now then, I need to find some capable people to help me find my gemstone~!"

Unfortunately, the camp was quite busy, with people flitting about left and right. Everyone who fit that whole "Combat capable" criteria seemed to already be busy doing something, so much so that they brushed right past her as she held up the bounty paper.

"Hello, miss, can you-- oh, okay."
"Mister, if I could just have a moment of your time, I-- wow, really? But it was cured already? Whew, okay, uhm... good luck cleaning up!"
"Well, hello there, handsome~! I could really use help with-- H-hey! Rude!"

Hanging her head, Sydney puffed a cheek, pouting slightly. She was sure the flirty attempt would work! Did she just go for it alone? She wasn't much of a fighter...

Then it happened! She caught light of an elf who somehow looked even more lost in the chaos than she was! Wonderful! Well, obviously not wonderful, but fortunate for her...

@Luthien
Striding up, Sydney waved a little hello and put on her friendliest smile. "Hi there. It looks like everyone here has something they're already doing, buuuuut, if you're interested, I'm looking for someone to help with this!"

Sydney grinned and held forth a piece of parchment with a drawing of a gem puppy... thing. Well, they had "Jade" in the title; that was the important part. "I love gemstones, and I was hoping to find some people to help... uhm... get them."

That didn't make it sound any less creepy...

By sheer luck, another stepped up who looked equally-- wait, was that map upside-down? Ahem --considerably more lost than the elf. Thankfully, she seemed on board before even being asked! Sydney pulled her closer and shared the bounty paper with her too. "We fight monster! You join?" she answered enthusiastically, not realizing how condescending she sounded.

As Imoogi wandered through the mess that was Camp Nisus, she couldn't suppress the growing annoyance that she'd managed to miss what had been an amazingly dramatic battle to the death. Just hearing stories about it wasn't enough to satisfy her.

In the end, the only option she had was to go to the camp herself. The AG had jobs up there, after all, and she could always use more gold in her figurative pockets.

There was a small group assembled nearby. She glanced down at her information about the bounty - there were supposed a few others that had picked up the same job, and they'd strongly suggested that she find some people to do the job with.

Imoogi approached, muffling her approach with Shadow Arts so she could get an idea of what they were talking about. A few moments of listening was enough to convince her that they were all about the same level of confused, and all doing the same job as her, so she dropped her shroud and raised her hand with a flat expression.

Yo. Got room for a fourth?

She had been pondering what to do when a human girl hadstrode up to Lúthien, a friendly smile on her face as she asked the elf what they were up to. "O-Oh...!" As Sydney propped her piece of parchment up, the familiar (kind of) rustic design of a jade something on it, the blonde couldn't help but gasp in surprise before she pulled out a parchment of her own.

"We got the same bounty, then!"

Unfolding it she presented it to Sydney, a gemed kitten staring back... it seemed there had been more than one artist for these bounty requests, and perhaps they hadn't been able to agree on the correct look for the jade creatures the quickly forming party was about to embark and slay.

"Where fight monster?"
"Uuuh... here?"
"We fight monster! You join?"

Already she was thankful for the human girl that had attached herself to Lúthien's side, proving to be quite a well of lively energy as Sydney quickly went to work on roping in a third player for the hunting party.

"Yo. Got a room for a fourth?"
"Huh? Oh y-yeah, sure...!"

The sudden voice from the side had caught Lúthien unaware, the elf quickly turning in response after being startled, before she slowly nodded her head at the newest arrival of the group. It almost felt like the girl had popped out of thin air... but the elf wasn't about to look a gifted horse in the mouth today, especially when this party had come together rather quickly and headache free for the blonde.

"According to the League these jade... panthers was it? Well, whatever they are, it seems these kitties started popping back up by the nearby lost city," She did her best to recall the details that a senior in the League had given her, albeit they were somewhat vague... Lúthien really hadn't been paying much attention. "... anyways, point is that they need us to go and make sure their numbers aren't too wild out there... and probably need the gems to given, well, all of this."

A hand waved towards the mushroom house, the building clearly looking like it had seen better days in the past, and the overall settlement where other players and Landers alike wandered about... it took gold, a lot of it too, to keep such large scaled operations running smoothly.

"If everyone's ready, and gamed of course, we can start heading out! One of my seniors pointed out the lost city is in that direction~"
