Unlike the new elf friend she was sure to soon make, Sydney had opted to take advantage of the log-out feature for travel. No need to lie on that hard wood floor and endure the bumpy roads when one could simply log out and return right at the destination. How useful! Plus, if she was being honest, Adelaide could only take being Sydney for so long...
... Anyway!
The silver-haired girl hopped off the wagon and ventured into the camp.
What are you so happy about, Syddie...?
"I'm just having fun with my adventures, Addie!" Sydney answered... no one at all. Odd.
"Now then, I need to find some capable people to help me find my gemstone~!"
Unfortunately, the camp was quite busy, with people flitting about left and right. Everyone who fit that whole "Combat capable" criteria seemed to already be busy doing
something, so much so that they brushed right past her as she held up the bounty paper.
"Hello, miss, can you-- oh, okay."
"Mister, if I could just have a moment of your time, I-- wow, really? But it was cured already? Whew, okay, uhm... good luck cleaning up!"
"Well, hello there, handsome~! I could really use help with-- H-hey! Rude!"
Hanging her head, Sydney puffed a cheek, pouting slightly. She was
sure the flirty attempt would work! Did she just go for it alone? She wasn't much of a fighter...
Then it happened! She caught light of an elf who somehow looked even more lost in the chaos than she was! Wonderful!
Well, obviously not wonderful, but fortunate for her...
@Luthien
Striding up, Sydney waved a little hello and put on her friendliest smile.
"Hi there. It looks like everyone here has something they're already doing, buuuuut, if you're interested, I'm looking for someone to help with this!"
Sydney grinned and held forth a piece of parchment with a drawing of a gem puppy... thing. Well, they had "Jade" in the title; that was the important part.
"I love gemstones, and I was hoping to find some people to help... uhm... get them."
That didn't make it sound any less creepy...
@Mari Yamazakura
By sheer luck, another stepped up who looked equally-- wait, was that map upside-down?
Ahem --considerably
more lost than the elf. Thankfully, she seemed on board before even being asked! Sydney pulled her closer and shared the bounty paper with her too.
"We fight monster! You join?" she answered enthusiastically, not realizing how condescending she sounded.
