Kat nodded along and listened to the girl explain a bit about herself in real life. It wasn't really all that hard to imagine that the girl, whoever she was, could put on a kimono. But then again, it may have been odd if the girl wasn't Japanese. Kat knew that people around the world played Terrasphere, and wondered if maybe that was where the girl was located in real life, but hesitated on asking. The girl was playing coy with her real life, Kat had picked up on that much, and so she didn't want to frighten her. Especially if she was, in fact, a child.
So, Kat moved on from that thought and focused on the issue at hand.
"Okay, first I want to test something."
Kat explained, as she looked at the thread, before pressing the button on her wrist mechanism on her left hand to slide out a sharp hidden blade from under her kimono sleeve. It made an audible snickt sound that the girl surely would have been able to hear.
"It's one thing to do this, but realistically it does you no good if a cutpurse comes around and tries to cut the magic string. I want to see how strong it is. Hold it out and make it longer so I don't hurt you. And try to focus some magic on strengthening it."
Kat readied her hidden blade as she waited for Azzy to follow the instructions.
