Amy allowed Magnolia to guide her, then carefully took a seat. It's not like she didn't want to get a ride to Falderen soon, but she thought that a talk was more important right now, so that is what she prioritized.

"Guiding me to Zalra when my family should be near the border to Zalra would be equivalent to guiding me to my family, wouldn't it? Have I misunderstood your intentions?

"... Also, joking?" That confused Amy... Was this something one should joke about? It was a... Somewhat frustrating statement, "I believe it might not be the best of ideas to make jokes about things people need to plan themselves around... It can lead to unnecessary stress." Amy sighed. So much for that... Seems like I was worrying over nothing.

Then, she thought a bit about Magnolia's next words, "So, you are saying that it is important to be cautious, but at times you should just trust what your heart tells you?

"... I suppose that does make sense. I met my family, and especially my husband, by chance, and if I hadn't trusted them when I did, I would have become a thrall of Zalrea instead of a servant of lady Rhiannon. Sometimes it is better to just hear your heart and trust those that you believe are trustworthy." Then, after a slight pause, she added, "And I hope that whoever ruined your life has met the appropriate retribution for their actions." Perhaps she could have said more, like how she was sorry to hear of it, but this was most likely an old wound that did not need much rekindling, so Amy chose not to.

Magnolia's next words confused Amy though... "I believe I need some clarification... Do you wish to escort me all the way to Zalra or were you joking when you suggested it?" Then, she sighed once more, "I do not really have it handled. My family helped me plan the route, but this is still the first time since I lost my eyes that I have been traveling by myself for any meaningful amount of time.

"I managed to get here safely, but that doesn't mean I will manage to get back... And will I even be able to find my family then? What if something happened and they had to move away earlier than planned? They might no longer be easy to find from the border with Falderen... And they might not be able to afford leaving someone behind to guide me to their new settlement.

"There are a lot of uncertainties... I just thought that this trip was worth the risk."
And that I was the most expendable person there, so the better person for the job, "Which was a misguided assumption on my end, but I do not regret coming here."

Amy took another deep breath, "In other words... I certainly would appreciate help going back home... There were just some things that worried me, and I suppose even I have limits in how much I wish to be a burden to others... Even if being a burden is my natural state of being."

"My apologies." Magnolia said, considering @Amy's response regarding her joke.

Magnolia wasn't really the type to like to sound too cheesy, so she simply nodded at Amy's conclusion on her opinions regarding caution. It was a very nuanced topic, and Amy's situation gave Magnolia the idea that she was most likely far inclined to expect the worst of people.

She couldn't really blame her.

"I'm sure he did. And if I find out he didn't, I will make sure he does." She said flatly, listening to the rest of Amy's story about her coming here, and her expectations of return.

A confusion crossed in Magnolia's mind. At times, it sounded like Amy was under the control of her return. At other times, it sounded like it was all a gamble. She couldn't expect the Faerin to completely open up to her actual future.

"I just wish you will be in one piece and back to your family, so you can return in one piece in the future as well. So I am willing to escort you all the way to anywhere you want." She explained.

"I need to warn lord Trevor if you want me to escort you outside of the capital though, so he will know where I am heading to."

Magnolia paused for a moment, looking at the box on her lap. "And probably leave this with him."

"Thank you." She replied to the apology... Amy would usually reply to apologies while saying that they were unnecessary, but... This time she just took it for what it was. She was glad that Magnolia had understood how much worry she had gone through in this conversation.

"Well, I suppose people always face the consequences of their actions eventually." Amy commented. Whoever harmed Magnolia had most likely harmed others too... This kind of behavior cannot go on forever without retribution coming their way.

Amy then listened to what Magnolia had to say, and after a few seconds of thinking, she decided, "If you are truly willing to, then I will be in your care for a while longer.

"I am afraid I do not have enough food for two people though..." Nor did she have enough money to purchase food either, "So even though you already doing this much for me, I might need to ask you to bring your own meals.

"If you are okay with all that... Then I would be glad to have you accompany me." Amy finally smiled again.

"Oh, and of course, take as much time as you need to notify lord Trevor and prepare yourself. I was planning on leaving today, but I am not against delaying the trip if necessary." It is not like Amy had any certainty of when she would return when she first arrived at Finweald after all.

And well, if things had gone right and she had managed to convince the Lions to help her family, then she would have probably needed to stay here longer anyways.

Amy just prayed that her family was okay during this time, and that nothing had caused them any trouble while she was out... Not like she was of any help during a crisis, but she preferred to at least be aware of how things were going... It put her heart at ease at the very least.

Magnolia nodded. "I will make sure you won't need to worry about any food supplies, Amy." She reassured. And it wasn't just because she was going to bring a bunch of supplies herself, but also because hunting and foraging wasn't out of option.

It would probably look like forfetched for a maid, but with their travel, @Amy would probably realize that Magnolia was a bit more than a simple and polite maid.

"Come with me then. I will be going back to warn Lord Trevor. Since I will be going with you, we won't need to worry about finding a wagon, but... We should still make haste to not go too late." She said, brushing off the idea of 'taking her time'. Especially because knowing Amy by now, there was a considerable chance that she would change her mind in the time frame of a day.

Magnolia then hurried up, not enough to drag Amy, but enough to make the whole walking around a little more tiring than the usual.

Later that day, as soon as they had their wagon and supplies ready to go, they would finally take off to bring Amy back 'home'.
