Kyra had squinted her eyes as the light grew stronger the further along the hallway they moved. She slunk in behind Fiora more - as much to protect her eyesight using the other woman's form, as to use the physical size as a barrier should anything occur. The hammering had continued, rhythmically, with each step, as if pulling them forwards towards whatever waited their arrival.

I'm here...just...keep going, we're almost there.
She had glanced around the form of the other in order to get a quick view ahead of them. She could see, against the blinding light, the doorframe only steps away. Squinting against the light - which now that Kyra glanced at it, seemed to shimmer and wave slightly - she guided them forwards as best as she could.
Seconds that felt like moments passed, and suddenly Kyra and Fiora were inside a room that, for all purposes, appeared to be the light of the lighthouse itself; a small spinning mirror reflecting a white-light fire in the centre, shinning out into the world for all to see. Belatedly, Kyra noticed that they were beneath the light, a staircase leading upwards off to the far side of the room they had entered.

Alright that's...hey! Where's the door?!
She'd glanced behind herself to confirm their escape route was still viable, only to find a glass panelled wall where the door had been. Looking around, she confirmed there was no doorway on any of the other glass panelled walls that made up the circular room's walls and ceiling.

Something comes crawling...crawling...crawling...it comes into our home...crawling, like the insect it is...always crawling...
The voice, heavily masculine and deep, seemed to whisper beside Kyra, causing the fox to jump with a start and spin to her right, only to find empty air. Before she could say anything aloud in response, however, a higher pitched male voice, different from the first, spoke out from in front of Fiora - the air empty of any form, and yet clearly the source of the voice itself.

Crawling...? No...it rolls, it squeals, it placates...it does not crawl...crawling is too good for it...lowly, lowly thing...why does it come? Why is it here? What does it want from us?
