Celestine (or rather, Maya) remained quiet, but she eyes grew wide as her new friend had the most radically different response possible to the expected one. No fear (or rather, not the expected amount), no pulling back, just pure boldness in the face of real danger.

And she couldn't exactly argue with her, either. After all, if she tried, whoever that person was... that person with that crazy life Azykia was describing... she could simply ask why Maya was playing. The ultimate trump card. Clearly, whatever danger Maya perceived out of the game, she still found it worth playing, or she wouldn't be here.

"Just who are you...?" Maya asked quietly, halfway between asking it for real and simply wondering it to herself. Secret Service? No friends? Was this girl the child of some high-ranking government official or something?

Still, Maya felt she had a duty to press upon this girl just what sorts of dangers she was speaking of.

"It might be safe for a few deaths, but soon enough, you'll be in real danger. And Terrasphere isn't like the modern outside world: there are so many deadly things that can kill you easily..." Especially at her level.

"So just..." Cel shook her head and slowly sighed. "...do yourself a careful, sis'."

Who was she? Well, even with that utterance, it wasn't as though she was going to tell her outright. She knew this woman was a smart person behind the screen, and that trying to pry for information like that would simply result in the same being asked of her.

It wasn't until she was told to 'do yourself a careful' that she put a smile back on her face. It was forced, with a generally wry and sarcastic demeanor, but it wasn't the dead-inside stare of blank, pupil-less eyes that it had been just before.

"I'll try. I don't know. Maybe I'll need someone to keep an eye on me." Her tone was still a bit monotonous. Obviously it would take some work to get her mood back out of the emotional gray, but the two had plenty of time for that, potentially.

Now that Celestine's player was trying to be Celestine again, she could also do the other thing she was going to do before deciding to fight brutal honesty with brutal honesty. She walked forward with her arms out and, whether the illusionist was facing her or not, pulled her back into a hug. It's not as though she was expecting it to fix everything, but sometimes retracing your steps was a good way to fix a situation. Besides, maybe it would mean something that the previously closed off girl was trying to reach out to the older sister she had just gained.

"Stop doing a mope, already." She muttered, mocking Celestine's speech mannerisms. "We are doing a standing in the public."

Celestine was happy to see Azzy smiling again. She knew what it was like to have multiple masks to wear for different situations, but that mask... the one Azzy had to use on the outside. She didn't like it. At all. It was cold, and uncomfortable, and... she wouldn't quite say mean, but certainly not too nice either.

Maybe Azzy felt the same way. She probably did, otherwise, why would she argue so strongly for the case to remain...

"I am not doing a mope!" Celestine moped pouted, squeezing Azzy back. "I am doing a serious warn. But if you will not be doing the go away, then at least I can be doing you a protect."

"Also, you started it...!"
she added quietly.

"Though if you are having the limited time, and two of the safety deaths, then maybe... maybe we can do an explore of the interesting places together!" Azzy would need to boost her skills first, and of course get some real equipment, but she was confident it wouldn't take too long. "Many of my friends are not doing the dangers because they are having themselves the two deaths. So..." she trailed off.

"Hah... Well." The younger girl still sounded more than a bit monotonous, but she was trying her best. She really was! "I'm not used to having so many feelings like this. I guess I see what you mean when you say, 'the acting will come naturally'."

"It's just that being blind all of the sudden is quite... terrifying." She chuckled softly, purely for effect. "I'm starting to feel safer with you here, though. I thank you for sticking with me so far."

As Celestine mentioned the phrase two deaths more than once, a question came to mind that she probably should have asked sooner. "By the way, Celesis. How many times have you died?" It didn't even seem to be a question that phased her, seeming so contrarian as to perhaps be just a little disconcerting. "Surely, if you understand this world is as dangerous as you say it is, you wouldn't want to go exploring with me if you didn't have some... powerful motivations to be here yourself." She gave almost a sarcastic smile from how big at was, or maybe she was just terrible at smiling. "That, or you simply aren't scared. What a brave older sister I have, haha."

"I am thinking I did, 'You do not need me to do you a teach of the acting,' a say," Cel corrected, catching immediately that it didn't follow her usual language rules for her character. She chuckled, patting Azzy on the head a few times.

"If it was not the me who did you a guide, it would have been the someone else," Celestine insisted with a smile. "There are the many peoples who do a patrol of the Eastern Brisshal to be making sure it is having the safety for the new peoples."

Her smile faded a bit as Azzy asked a more important question, however. "Hm?" Well, it was a sensible enough thing to ask, given what she'd just said about the "Third death" phenomenon. "One time," she answered with a solemn tone, before brightening up again.

"It was actually very much the disgusting! Let it do you a good advice: if you are fighting the big beasty with the many people: do a faster run than they do themselves!" She'd leave out all those details about duty, heroism and whatnot. Hopefully Azzy had a stronger sense of self-preservation than she did. Then again, Terrasphere really did have the magical ability to bring out the recklessness in people sometimes...

"Hm." She tilted her head down. "Hopefully, I can stay somewhere peaceful and just never have to fight anything to begin with. I didn't really pick up Terrasphere to play a game like that. I was just hoping for a way to escape for a bit." She sounded less and less dead inside by the minute.

"But if you're going to give advice like that, remind me never to be fighting the big beasty with you." She was hoping she would feel inspired enough to laugh after saying that, but... nothing. Ah well, hopefully time would get her back into the swing of things, and hopefully she wouldn't break down crying again.

As she let go of her mentor, she took a slow, deep breath and raised her head high enough to almost be looking Celestine right in the eyes, though as usual it wasn't quite spot on.

"By the way, I know you want to assist me, and do the whole... older sister thing. I also... don't want to take up a whole lot of your time in the long run. If you don't mind, do you think we could try and find somewhere safe for me to stay for a bit while I get used to living like this?"

The girl's stomach growled, and she covered her face with her hand as she tilted her head down once again. "Maybe... somewhere with food, preferably."

Easing up a bit as Azzy mentioned no interest in fighting, Cel smiled and sigh a sigh of relief. "Good," she nodded. "There is much of the world to do an enjoy of without the fighting of the big beasties. Let us just do them an avoid and be having a comfy life~"

That was certainly how Celestine enjoyed playing the game. There were so many ways to use the masteries to have fun just doing silly stuff without all that stressful, painful, and even dangerous combat! With any luck, she could steer clear of all that stuff indefinitely and encourage Azzy to do the same during her stay in Terrasphere.

"Yes, I should probably do the going to work soon…" Cel nodded slowly. Given the time, it hinted the Celestine’s player was probably somewhere in the European region, though obviously impossible to pinpoint. "Let us be getting you the inn room to do a stay in."

Cel took Azzy by the hand and finally led her out of the crowds and into… another crowd. Wow, these places really were packed lately. She stepped up to the counter and asked the irritable-looking guy behind it, "Is there the room free that my friend can do a stay in?"

He glanced up from his slouch, eyes flickering between the dazzling illusionist and the adorable blond girl by her side. He wasn’t impressed. "Egh." He held out his hand.

"… Is that the yes…?"

"20 gold per day."

"What!? That‘s abs— I mean… that is an absurdity!"

He sighed, brushing a thick lock of black hair to the side. "High demand, high price. You want it or not?"

With a pout, Celestine opened her menu and materialized a large sack of coins, slapping them down hard enough on his hand to cause him to wince. "There. Do her a stay for a week."

"Jeez, lady…! Fine. Here’s the key." He held it out to Azzy, but after a short pause, Cel took it and gently put it in her hand, earning yet another sigh and an eyeroll. "You starcalled are such special snowflakes; honestly…!"

She could only hear the exchange, so until she heard Celestine seem to smash the rude man's hand she could only consider that apparently twenty gold per night was expensive enough to make even a veteran player say something about it, and that the economy here seemingly worked just like the real world.

After that, though, she couldn't help but to giggle and raise a hand to her mouth, less to stifle it and more just for the sass of the gesture. For as polite as Celestine was, these shopkeepers were pretty rude. At the very least, it was in line with what Azykia came to this world to experience in the first place. Unfairness, disadvantage, actual negativity. She wanted to experience both sides of living, not just the success in it.

As she took the key in grasp, she placed both hands in her lap and bowed a little bit out of respect, carefully. "Thank you very much, sir. I'll try not to be a burden during my stay." She was as polite as possible in an effort to kill the man with kindness.

She even decided to take it a little further than she probably should have, but that's what someone gets for mouthing off to her big sister. That was her excuse if anybody asked, anyways. As she rose, she made sure to try her best to look at him with her pupil-less eyes, though even without making it intentional she wasn't ever able to make eye contact with him. She wondered just how clear she could make it that she was blind. "I know you're very busy with all of the other patrons, so if I fall down the stairs, you can feel free to ignore me. I'm sure the crying will stop before it becomes too annoying."

With this, she gave another bow, doing her best to intimidate this man in her own obtuse way, then reached over to try and find Celestine. She was very intentional to struggle at this part, as she more or less understood where her partner in crime had been standing.

It took a moment for Celes to get what her new little sister was doing, but as she went on, it became so obvious that it’d be easier to miss a flashing sign right in front of her face. Wow. Sure, she was annoyed at the guy, but Azzy was shockingly brutal when she wanted to be and went far further than Cel had ever intended.

The guy glanced off the either side as a few bystanders started glaring. He was already fairly well-known for his attitude, so he’d hoped he was immune to this kind of thing, but it seemed like Azzy was pushing things far enough for him to get bad looks…

Celestine let her continue her act for a few more seconds before she stepped forward to place her arms around her shoulder. "Come on, Azzy. Let us do you a hide before your father does you a find. We would not want you to be in the misery again…"

Cel flashed a horribly smug look at the desk guy who glared back in disgust as she led Azzy down the hall, leaving him with a disgusted crowd of bystanders eating dinner. They caught the start of him getting chewed out by one of the tougher sounding guys, but the sounds muffled beyond recognition before it got too far.

"Okay, it is looking like this is the room you are doing a stay in," Celestine declared, leading Azzy’s hand to the door and letting her feel it out to unlock it. "Be counting to the fifth on the right," she instructed for future visits.

The room was quaint, but clean and cozy. Soft carpet, a bed, a curtained window… it did, however, lack many of the modern essentials that might be seen in a hotel room. No kitchen, no shower, no private bathroom, no wifi password. It was a place made primarily for sleeping.

Once led to her door, she flashed a smile to her accomplice. "Thank you so much for helping me do a hide from my father, Celesis." Of course she was only saying it in such a way just in case people were still within earshot that she couldn't see, giving the illusionist a compliment as she lived up to her name even in a social stir such as the one she had caused.

"Fourth on the right shouldn't be hard to remember, though." Her devilish streak seemed to continue, and she let out a giggle and gave a brighter smile than before with closed eyes. "Just kidding."

Once inside, she blinked a couple times, waited a couple seconds, then tilted her head just a bit. "So what's it like? Could you make another... illusion, was it? To show me what the room looks like?" She gulped as she realized that her first major obstacle was going to be memorizing how to get around this room.

"It is none of the trouble for the good it is doing you~" Cel continued, despite knowing there was absolutely no one nearby to hear. Then again, with those shadow arts users, you never knew…

"Do not even," Celestine pouted, flicking Azzy on the forehead as she continued her dubious shenanigans. It was nice to see her smiling and laughing again though. Cel like that way better than "Deadpan business" Azzy, for sure!

"Oh, right, uhm… okay," she nodded, once again weaving illusions to recreate what was already there. Bed. Dresser. Window. Cabinet thingy. Door. Was she missing anything important?

Bonk.

Ah, the little bedside table too. "Sorry," Cel apologized shortly after Azzy had run into something which, to her, looked like it was empty space. It was so darn hard to tell what she had and hadn’t copied! After all, to her, an illusioned object and the normal object both looked the exact same. She added the table to the illusion.

"That is pretty much the everything," she nodded, leaving out a few minor details like the carpet that Azzy could feel on her own. "Terrasphere is not having itself the modern technologies, so the rooms are doing themselves the simplistic. Buuuut, you can do a log out, and you will do a sleep immediately."

Somehow running into the table without even the remote expectation of doing so caused it to be twenty times more surprising and painful as it would have been running into it while running full speed into it. At least one would think so, from the sudden yelp Azykia let out as she found the bedside table with her leg. She quickly relaxed after a sharp huff of air. "It's fine..." She muttered.

She made her way over to the bed with a little more trepidation just in case Celestine forgot to reveal the landmine awaiting her adjacent to the bed and turned around. She took a seat and gently felt at the blanket. Somehow it felt just as soft as her own.

"When I log out." She paused for a few seconds with those blank eyes staring with intent and focus off towards nothing in particular. "Does Azykia... disappear, or something? As well, could I not just sleep in-game?"

Celestine waited patiently for Azzy to feel out the rest of the room, feeling doubly guilty at her loud yelp of pain. She didn’t look injured though: just startled, so Celestine figured no healing was required.

The conversation did, however, take a turn into some of the important logistics about the game. Sleeping indeed.

"You can actually do it the choose," she answered with her usual big-sisterly voice. "If you do the button a quick tap, you do a stay, and the falling asleep. If you do the button a hold, you do yourself the vanishing until you do a return."

Cel wandered over to the corner of the room, looking like she was about to illustrate, but then quickly realizing how that wouldn’t work super well. "Uhm… anyway, I like to do the vanish, because then I am not needing the bed. I can just do myself a rest right here. Speaking of which, I should probably do the logging out now…"

She still hesitated though, for a moment. "You are remembering where the log out button is, yes?" she confirmed like a nagging mother. "And do not do too much of the wanders. And stay away from the stronger beasties…"

As Celestine prodded her memory, she opened her UI and gently moved her hand until she felt the familiar tickle of the first button she was shown. "So I just tap this... Why would anybody decide to leave their body behind?" She froze as her earlier conversation with Celestine put at least one thought into her head.

"Ah- Nevermind." If she met one of those people who had died three times already, wouldn't it do well to allow them that comfort? Knowing that their friend was there, and would be back for them? Even more for those who were married. Oh, gosh, what an upsetting thought that was.

"Will you be back? How will I get a hold of you when you aren't around?" She wanted to be independent, and she was willing to work for it, but just the thought of being left alone in a game world as some sort of data phantom turned an uncomfortable pit in her stomach.

Celestine nodded as she saw Azzy follow the correct motions with her hand. "Yes. Some of the people do each other a marriage, so they often do a leave of their body for the realism." That always kinda baffled her. Those people were few and far between, from what she'd seen, but there were enough of them to raise several questions.

... Questions which would sadly have to remain unanswered.

"You can also do the leave of the body to allow a friend or something to do it the moving. It can be helping the people to stay together, though it is the awkward look." Again: uncommon, but not unheard of. "Though if you do a log out in the wagon, you are doing the staying in the wagon. It is more of the convenient, but less of the ability to be moving you out of the wagon."

Hopefully, all of that addressed the usual questions people tended to have where logging in and out was concerned.

"Oh. Uhm... I did you the friend requesting the while ago, actually..." Celestine mentioned. "I guess you did it the miss. Since I am doing a leave anyway..."

Celestine placed her hands on Azzy's head and transferred her sight once again.

"Go ahead and do it an accept while you can be seeing it... if you want."

Once more, and for what she hoped for the time being was the last time, Celestine gave her the ability to see. First and foremost, she had to compliment the first thing she noticed. "Your magic furniture looks just like the real thing, once you take the colors away. Good job." She kept blinking frequently as her eyes adjusted to the light pouring into them once more, though she didn't really hesitate long in looking to her UI again.

Ah, so there it was, too. She did her best to navigate the menu slowly in order to see the friend request her new honorary sister had sent her and couldn't help but to smile at how much less flashy it was. She really had been going above and beyond earlier. What a flashy girl.

"Alright, I've accepted it. You didn't have to do that, though."

Azykia let out a giggle, although it sounded almost sad. "I'm going to get used to being blind, so I won't be too far from here. I can't imagine, anyways. You'll come find me, won't you?"

"Thank you," Celestine took a little bow, bonking her head on the same, awkwardly-placed table. "Oww." So much for the attempt at elegance. "Someone should do a move of that table somewhere better; it is a very strange place for the table..." Cel whined, rubbing her forehead a few moments.

"Ah good! Then I can do you a find and a message later!" she nodded. Stepping forward, Celestine felt around a bit, until brushing Azzy on the side, and pulled her into one last hug. "I will definitely do you the find if you do the coming back!" she giggled. "Do not do yourself too much of a danger, okay? Leave the danger seeking for when we are doing a together."

With one last squeeze, Celestine stepped backed and opened her palm menu, following the familiar gesture to log out. Unlike Azzy, she didn't even need to feel for it: she'd done it so many times. "Bye~"

And with that, Celestine vanished, her sight transfer ending the moment she was gone...

Azykia did her best to stifle a bit of laughter as Celestine banged her head, but honestly it was too ironic not to laugh just a little.

She gave a nod to Celestine's request and embraced her gently back, at least for the moment she could. She felt so sad all of a sudden. The two had just met, barely knew anything about one another, barely did anything today, yet it felt like an entire lifetime to Azykia's player. She had seen people go shopping in groups, and she wondered just how wonderful something like that could be. To not have a tailor visit you, and make every article of clothing for you. To just go out with friends and experience the feeling of looking at something hanging on a rack in the store and going 'yeah, that's good enough'.

She finally felt that feeling today, and she could see with her own two eyes what became of her as she tilted her head down to eye the bracelet and yukata chosen for her. It was magical. That had to be why she could see everything right now. Because this moment of realization was truly, vividly magical, and it took her until farewell to figure that out.

Before she could fully get a hold on her thoughts and feelings, the woman pulled away and said her farewell. She gulped, and smiled a genuine smile she still simply wasn't used to smiling.

"Goodbye,"

her vision snapped to black,

"Celesis."

She flopped back onto the bed and took a good long time to wonder if she even wanted to log out in the first place. She was finally free.
