"Uhm... well, yes..." Celestine answered. That was, of course, part of it. The second part on the other hand was a bit harder to get across in a way that wouldn't just sound like an urban myth. In fact, even she herself still struggled to believe it.

She chuckled at the blind joke though. "Yes, that would be a hard thing to mistake, but I'm more worried about the second part of what you just said. Just... if you insist in continuing to play Terrasphere, take care of yourself: both in and out. No rushing into death zones and things like that..."

That might've been the best she could do for now. Thankfully, Azzy had just shown moments ago that she was spooked by the idea of zombies, so at the very least, her internal danger compass was working as it ought to.

Cel suddenly perked up, "But I guess I would be doing myself a hypocrite if I told you to do the going away, hm~? If you are going to be having a stay, I can at least be doing the taking care of you!"

No rushing into death zones? "Right. I actually didn't know this was a game with any sort of danger in it when I signed up, so I don't really have any intention of going anywhere dangerous." At least she had some good news to offer her worried mentor.

At Celestine's offer, her expression became a mixture of serious and caught off-guard. The girl gripped the cube in her hands a bit tighter, almost as though she were hugging it. "Taking care of me..." Her head turned to look down and right for a while, then centered a bit to her left for another while. For some reason, such a simple phrase was sending the blind one for quite a long loop.

"You don't have to do anything like that." Apparently, Azzy had decided that the offer was just as much of a formality as anything she herself had said so far not including her panic-inducing moments of confusion earlier. "I very much appreciate the help you've given me so far, though."

"... U-Um-"

She almost committed to another line of thought, but as she felt her cheeks warm over with a blush, she let the cube fall to the ground with a light tap as she reached up and covered the lower half of her face with her right hand, falling silent instead. Truthfully, for whatever reason, Azykia had always considered the act of blushing far more embarrassing than elaborating on what made her blush in the first place, but that wasn't something that would really come up in this conversation.

Azzy didn't know Terrasphere was dangerous? Just what had she heard about it...?

Cel eased up a bit when Azykia said she'd steer clear of the dangerous places. That was a relief to hear. As far as Celestine taking care of her, though, she did that thing people did when they kinda wanted it, but didn't want to be a burden. Though maybe it was some sort of shame, now that she noticed Azzy blushing up a storm over there. Either way, Celes wasn't about to take no for an answer!

"Do not be a silly. I will be doing you the care whether you are the needing of it or of the not!" Especially given how completely ignorant this girl was of the game. Sheesh!

Suddenly, the sound of a twig snapping was heard off to the side of the road, and a large, furry silhouette came into view just behind Azzy. Celestine gave it a look and shrugged, mentioning it like she might've pointed out a local landmark.

"Oh, speaking of the which, there is a bear doing itself a wander right there." She illusioned an arrow for Azzy, along with a silly, googly eyed face where the bear's snoot was, figuring the humor might help to not spook Azzy. It unleashed a ferocious roar, which felt a bit mismatched from Celestine's illusion. If the roar was scary, Celestine's calm and not-the-slightest-bit worried voice was the opposite.

"Maybe you can be doing the combat skills a test for the learning of the self-defense! I cannot be doing you a care all the time, after all."

She visibly jumped as she heard the bear make a distinguishingly bear-like noise, and even as her eyes fell on the googly-eyed doodle of the illusionist, she started backing away. She huffed as though she was out of breath from sheer terror. Seeing a bear in person was already something that was remarkably terrifying, or thrilling, depending on the kind of person you were. Azzy didn't think not being able to see it would make it even scarier!

"W-Wait, wait! Combat?! I don't know what I'm doing at all! Please, help me!" For all the difficulty she had sounding as childish as she looked before, she now had the opposite problem. All of her dignity had been chased away by perhaps the least fantastical threat this entire world had to offer, and that made it feel even more real by the second. Maybe this is what Celestine meant when she mentioned having a strong grasp on reality.

Celestine gave Azzy a worried look as she panicked hard. Well, if one wasn’t used to video games (much less one as realistic as Terrasphere), she supposed a bear might be kind of intimidating. The bear certainly tried his best to be just that, storming forward in that aggressive manner his programming demanded of him.

Celestine pretty much ignored the bear, instead wandering over to comfort Azzy by putting a hand on her head. "Do not be doing yourself the worries. It is only itself a bear."

The bear, having no interest in waiting for their little heart-to-heart to finish up, stormed forward and roared again, opening its enormous jaws and biting down on Celestine’s arm with a powerful force that, were this the real world, likely would’ve snapped it clean off. Instead, Cel’s arm glowed with a powerful divine energy: something Azzy would’ve seen as a bright yellow. She didn’t cry, she didn’t scream, she didn’t yelp, she didn’t even raise her voice.

"And besides, I said I would be doing the taking care of you! I will not do my promise a break of the quick." A few more head-pats ensued with the free arm that wasn’t getting gnawed on by a bear. "Let us do the Arcana menu a look through again and see what you can be doing, okay?" she suggested calmly, as if she wasn’t in combat at all.

She wanted to back away more, but once she heard the bear roar and chomp down, she became frozen in place, only to snap out of it once Celestine's hand rubbed her head once again. "I don't understand how you can say it's only a bear, but..." She did her best to slowly navigate to the menu, using the comfort of being in physical contact with another person to allow her detrimentally shaky hands to feel out and click her way to the menu.

In terms of offense, Arcanamancy seemed to have just enough going for it in terms of combat safety to allow even the completely unfamiliar Azykia to compare her options. That didn't mean she trusted what she had decided upon, as she was not only unfamiliar with Terrasphere, but video games and fighting in general.

"Ce- Celestine, what should I do?" She pleaded out of intense worry, or more accurately fear. Her face reddened, and her hand reflexively came up to cover her face yet again. She hated being this reliant on other people. Being blind was starting to quickly frustrate her to tears. "How am I supposed to protect myself against a bear when I can't see?!" She spat out in a high-pitched, whiny panic. Even still, she did her best to focus on what her mentor was telling her to do.

Okay, so Azzy clearly wasn't the most familiar with video games at all. Cel needed a way to convey to her that players, the so-called "Starcalled," were quite a bit stronger in this world than they would be outside of it.

"Do a listen..." the bear swiped at Cel with its claw and she once again ignored it, "Bears are of not much danger here. Players have themselves the strength of the mightiness! You just need to do yourself a learn of your abilities. Here..."

Laying a hand on Azzy's head, her hand glowed with a mix bright yellow and white magic. It spread from her eyes to her hand, and then to Azzy's eyes. Suddenly, the world expanded before Azzy, and she saw a glowing hand extended over a blond gir-- wait...

"I do us the temporary sight sharing," Celestine nodded, leaving out the fact that she was now effectively blind, herself. Although, there was a powerful energy coursing through Azzy's body that might've hinted that Cel had sneakily done more than that. "Go ahead: you will be seeing that the bear is not doing us a danger."

Celestine, together with this new vision, turned to show both the bear and a slightly-glowy Azzy.

For the disorienting second or two that the world came into view, she was all but stunned as a busy array of colors struck her eyes all across one of the most beautiful and unurbanized landscapes she had ever seen. She wanted to appreciate it, and indeed couldn't help but to do so. She also couldn't help but to become terrified at the bear now that she saw just how close it actually was, and that this crazy woman was holding it back pretty much with her bear bare hands. On top of all that, she couldn't help but to also still notice the distinct, shining light that had over-casted her form in her own vision. The tears of frustration she was about to cry become those of both fear and awe as both emotions washed over her more than she had ever felt in her entire life.

Feelings. She was having feelings again.

Shouldn't she be happy about that?
Yes, she was happy. She was, but was so confused by it that she hadn't noticed it until now She could be scared, not just of getting hurt but for another kind soul's well-being, and her heart felt heavy as it welled up with gratitude for the moments of sight Celestine had granted her. It was enough to remind her utterly, in full, exactly why she came to this world in the first place.

"Cel... Celestine..." She took a deep breath and, ignoring the warmth still plaguing her face, finally looked back to the illusory UI.

Wait a minute, that grammar didn't make her inner voice auto-correct to Celestine's. It was even a bit less extravagant than it was before. This wasn't an illusion, but the actual UI! She could finally read that part about 'attacking' in a dialect that didn't quarter her reading speed!

She put her hand out towards the bear in an 'L' like before, then read the page for another couple seconds. "Alright, I don't know what I'm doing, but I'm trusting you!" She inhaled once more, then spoke out the magical command, which once again twisted her tone into the more aesthetically preferred end of the scale for Azykia's mentor.

From her hand, a spike of bright blue arcane magic shot out with the force of a harpoon cannon thanks to the help of her mentor's blessing, piercing right through the bear in all five feet of length. The spike of magic itself dissolved as it got stuck at an angle in the ground moments after leaving the new player's palm.

Celestine couldn’t exactly see what was happening, but as the sound of magical matter ripping through flesh squelched over to her, followed by a moist-sounding thud, she got the gist of what‘d happened and smiled.

"There, see?" She chuckled with a reassuring tone, "Bears are not much the danger. Now the batdogs… those can be doing a big danger, so maybe do not be doing the caves an explore without having a strong party." Ah, memories. "You did the good job, though!"

"Uhm… by the way… you will need to do me a leading for a while," Celestine explained apologetically, implying the rather unfortunate downside of the spell. "It is taking a while to do itself the wearing off, and until it does, I cannot do myself a seeing."

On the plus-side, maybe Azzy could finally take a took and memorize some of the menus without her constantly having to weave complicated illusions. Cel pointed to her right. "We were doing that way a travel."

As she winced from the unexpected force that threw back her arm and watched the bear fall over depleted of life, stared in awe at what had just unfolded in front of her eyes. She reached up and began to rub her shoulder while heeding Celestine's words, and her eyes fell on her mentor finally. The illusion she had previously made to show Azzy what she looked like was actually entirely spot on, but to see the woman herself as she spoke put the words to a real person and their mannerisms, rather than the memory and imagination of one. She thought momentarily about the other illusion made--the one showing what Azykia herself looked like--and took a look down at herself.

She was still glowing from Celestine's magic, but as time went on and her eyes adjusted, it became a lot clearer to distinguish from the physical sight she was given now. She gulped and admitted to herself that her own imitation was a lot more spot on than she had hoped.

Once pointed in the right direction, she reached up and very carefully took hold of Celestine's hand with both of her own. As she lowered it, she eventually shifted it so that she was clutching it with her right hand and let go with her left. "That... That way, huh?" Knowing Celestine couldn't see for the time being, she looked down and to her left with a still reddish-pink face and eyes half-lidded in thought.

After a while of just standing there in silence, she spoke up. "I'm sorry for... panicking on you. You're really brave." The younger girl started walking before the moment could drown in sentiment, carefully starting to pull Celestine along diagonally behind her. She wanted to keep an eye on the other woman's footsteps and keep her safe, but there was also just so much to see all around her. She could just barely manage to juggle the two tasks for the time being.

Celestine waited patiently as there was nothing but blackness and silence. Azykia's moment of self-reflection, though it no-doubt hadn't intended to do so, nevertheless left her wondering what on Terrasphere was she doing. Was she even okay? Did she shoot herself with the bear? Finally, Azzy's voice cut into the blackness, causing Cel to sigh in relief.

"That way," she nodded. It was quiet again. Just what was she doing? And why did this spell have to last so darn long!? Then again, she could at least be thankful it wasn't always like this. Azzy was a special kind of person for actually pushing forward and sticking with the game despite this awful disability! Celestine herself probably would've just quit if it were her.

After what felt like an eternity, she received more words. "I am not a brave, I am a stupid," she corrected. "Although, in the case here, I am just an over-leveled..." she chuckled and smiled with a finger awkwardly placed on the side of her head. The other hand was taken, and the two continued on, a bit slower than before now that Azzy was so distracted with taking in the sights.

"It should do a wear off in ten of the minutes, so be yourself the ready..." she warned, giving a rough time estimate.

Azzy clicked her tongue as her compliment was taken so lightly, though she had very little time to be too sour about it with all the sights to take in. Ten minutes. That was all she had to see? Couldn't Celestine just do this again sometime?

Did she even want her to? Between the two, Celestine was far more capable of assisting her than the the other way around, and at least she could see magic. She had the gentle hope that one day she could use the Arcanamancy to see almost as well as she used to be able to. Right now, the illusionist couldn't even see her own silly little projections. How miserable.

"You didn't have to do that..." What a generic, thoughtless thing to say. Of course Celestine would probably say it was worth it regardless, whether she had to or merely wanted to. "Really, thank you."

As she looked back for a moment at her mentor, she huffed a bit at how short she was in this game. She really did low roll it a bit, didn't she? "How... young do you think I am right now?" Her eyes opened just a little bit more as she remembered what she was going to ask before the bear came out of honestly nowhere. Her face felt hot all over again, but before she could get too unsettled by it she seemed to realize that maybe things worked out this way for a reason. After all, she was never going to be able to talk about it without feeling silly, and right now her face was obfuscated from Celestine's view.

"More... importantly..." She cleared her throat. "I wanted to a-ask. About... that 'acting' you do." She gripped Cel's hand even tighter for a few seconds without seeming to realize it herself.

"... I-It looks fun. Could you teach me how?"

Celestine giggled a bit as Azzy went through the usual thank-you rituals. "Of course not. But I wanted to do you the help. And besides, I wish I had done the thinking of it sooner, when you did me the asking of what we were looking like. It would have done you the seeing of me much easier."

And then the question about her age. Earlier, she seemed a bit upset about it; now she seemed... well, honestly, it was super hard to tell, but it felt a bit like an old woman asking the same question: dangerous.

"Maybe you should do me the ask when I can be giving you a look..." she winked playfully. "But when I did you the seeing, I was thinking you were yourself the younger teenager. Maybe twelve or thirteen... although I do not think players can be making themselves the twelve-year-olds, so you are probably having a thirteen-year-old." Dangerous, but she'd answer honestly anyway.

She felt her hand squeezed as another question popped up. This one... was...

Hilarious!

Cel giggled, then she chuckled, then she outright laughed, rubbing her still-useless eyes with her free hand.

"You do not need me to do you a teach of acting," she corrected as she slowly calmed down. "I can already tell your new body is making you do the actings... the little bit~! And when you do it an inhabiting long enough, it will do the teachings for you, if you are wanting it to or not." She put on a mix of smugness and lamentation as she quietly added, "Trust me. Celestine drives my boyfriend crazy..."

Brightening up again, she continued...

"But if you are wanting to be doing yourself an act, I can happily do you the accepting as my sister~!"

There it was. The ultimate prize. Right there, within reach, with the perfect excuse to ask and make it official~! Of course the little sister was equally important to emphasize, but it was easy enough to imply for now. She could lock that part in more solidly once Azzy was more acquainted with being smol.

Azykia hearing that she might be as young as thirteen in this world almost caused her to spontaneously burst into flames on the spot, in a 'literally figurative' sense of the phrase.

She almost snickered at Celestine's 'comment through the veil'.

Poor boyfriend...

The question Celestine had offered her in turn on the other hand actually did the new player such a confusion that she nearly performed a maneuver of tripping over her own feet, but steadied herself on a stumble while only pulling Celeste forward a little bit suddenly. With her lack of weight, it really wasn't much of a force, just a sudden unexpected yank on her arm. "... Sister? I-" She blinked a few times rapidly as she did her best to parse out the currently blind illusionist's thoughts and come to a similar conclusion as she did. Acting equals being sisters... This was the kind of conclusion she could never reach on her own. Then again, this wasn't really about her alone, now was it?

Azzy couldn't help but to let out a single, forced-sounding laugh. "First you want to take care of me, then you want to be my sister." She asked without asking, almost rhetorically. Once she said it aloud, there was one sort of conclusion she could draw from this. Was Celestine lonely? She understood just as well as anyone what it felt like to long for connection, to be let out of the locked box of circumstance by someone else's hand. If that was the case, then...

"I mean... I can't really promise I know what being somebody's sister entails, but I can't think of a reason to say 'no' to you." The contract had been conscripted and signed.

Celestine nearly fell, even from the little tug. She was already a bit off-balance from not being able to see, and the tug was certainly unexpected. Was she not on-board with it? Was it that strange of a request?

… Okay yeah, it was a pretty strange request out of nowhere.

Even so, Celestine, or rather Maya, had been an only child all her life. The idea of a precious little sister was something she desperately wished for since she was old enough to speak, and sadly enough, it never happened, considering… well… she’d rather not think about it.

"Doing the taking care of a sister is the expected of me, is it not?" Celestine pointed out the obvious (or maybe not so obvious: perhaps her view was just overly rosy). "Well, you will do the catching on very quickly I think, sis’," Celestine leaned into it cautiously, feeling out the girl’s reaction.

Was it awkward to suddenly adopt a stranger out of nowhere within a few hours of meeting them? Sure, probably. But Celestine breathed awkward like oxygen. It didn’t phase her at all: it fueled her.

"I... You really think that, huh?" She gave a bitter smile to no one in particular since Celestine couldn't see, and she shifted her train of thought to the town ahead. What was going to happen when the two arrived? How far away was it, even?

Then she remembered that illusion once more of herself as she caught sight of her ugly brown starter tunic in her peripheral vision. That gaudy thing, it was more and more uncomfortable by the minute, especially acknowledging how terrible it looked on her. It had to go.

"So, it's called Honeyhome, right?" She still wasn't even sure. That name sounded way too simple. "Is there some way I could get a different outfit? I look like a boy in this." Almost as though to try and sway Celestine in the direction of her suggestion, she turned her head slightly towards her to speak a bit more quietly. "Not very sister-like at all, wouldn't you agree?"

Celestine nodded profusely, giving Azzy a pat on the head for good measure. "It is called the Honeyhome, yes. I am not of sure exactly why, though. I do not do the seeing of many bees… uhm… when I can do the seeing, I mean." She wore a silly grin at the accidental joke she’d just made.

… And finally chuckled at the idea that she looked like a boy. "Maybe your chest does the look of a boy, but a boy does not have himself the pretty hair like that! Usually." She had to tack that ‘usually’ at the end: there certainly were some exceptions she’d seen here and there.

"But that is the great idea! If you are wanting to do yourself an immerse and an act, the clothings will do you a great help!" Clasping her hands together, her eyes sparkled with excitement, ironically with perfect timing as their vision began to return to normal… or in Azzy’s case, abnormal.

"Oh. Uhm… maybe I can be doing that again while you do the trying on of the clothes," she sighed, lamenting the fact that only one of them could properly enjoy the clothes shopping experience at a time.

She forced an awkward smile at Celestine's joke. She would have laughed if not for how it was her fault in the first place she went and gave up her sight for a bit anyways. It was less about the guilt, and more about the pride, and she had managed to become so useless in that moment that she had imposed on someone else's ability to see. She had been so inept that she had taken one of their five senses.

Speaking of five senses, she stopped walking as the world did a fade to black again. She took a deep breath and, while letting go of the thoughtful illusionist's hand, replied as firmly as she could think how to in the moment.

"I-... That's a tempting offer, but... Maybe I should get used to doing it without being able to see. It would help me in the long run, wouldn't it?"

She realized her question was a bit too open ended, so she had to add a bit of stern stress to the end. A declaration from the deepest pit of the heart she had borrowed from the real world.

"If you really want to take care of me, then help me learn never to need your eyes again. I'd rather-" No, she had said enough. She could leave it right there without having to be a downer. After all, this was a new life full of new experiences. I'll just have to learn to focus what's in front of me, for now.

In truth, Celestine had both expected, and kinda hoped, for an answer like this. Azzy seemed to be a surprisingly proud person, and her reasoning made perfect sense. All Celestine could do was nod… and promptly remember that nodding was once again useless.

"You are yourself the right," in everything but the clothes, she added internally. Clothes were important! And something you just couldn’t appreciate properly without eyesight. Still, if she was dedicated to the role of blind little sister, Celestine would happily play the part of dutiful older sister: making her the cutest!

"Let us do the going then~!"

Honeyhome was best described as the most crowded quaint hamlet imaginable. Several red-roofed buildings stood out among the green landscape, fresh-bread smell permeated the air, and the overall size of the place implied one might be able to walk from one side to the other in under 5 minutes. However, if one listened to the crowds of newbies, one might’ve thought they’d entered a bustling city.

Even though Terrasphere remained illegal, there were still this many people willing to throw caution to the wind across the world, huh?

Hoping to keep her safe from the crowd, Cel pulled Azzy closer as they entered the streets. "Before we do you the clothings, you should be having yourself the weapon." She stopped by a stall that’d been hastily put up on the streets, and dropped a few gold coins, selecting a cheap, magic bracelet and wrapping it around Azzy’s wrist.

"The magic accessory! It will do your magics the stronger. You can do yourself a better magic weapon later, it is just for the now," she reassured, earning an irritated look by the guy at the stall whose work had just been dismissed as junk. Even so, he kept quiet, figuring that if this dazzling magician lady expected things like floating space hats, her expectations were far out of his league as a crafter.

For some reason the sudden introduction of a bunch of people standing around talking sent the blind one into an imaginary analysis of herself in the eyes of onlookers. What were all the other players going to think of her walking around like this? She felt like she was on some sort of pedestal, like an art piece meant to be mocked. Even some people could appreciate objectively terrible art, so maybe that wasn't the best example. She felt like a piñata hanging over a tank of piranhas, and it was all her own self-conscious design.

She was snapped out of it by Celestine saying something about a weapon. "Is an actual weapon really necessary?" She asked at a volume that decreased the further into her sentence it went. She was starting to come to an understanding about her 'new big sister' as well: once she had devoted to a cause, she was not easily swayed. This would be put to the test more and more as time went on, she was certain of it even from the short time she knew this crazy magician.

As her wrist was taken, and something that felt very much like a bracelet was applied to it, her eyes locked onto it as she twisted her wrist around slowly. "An accessory? I... think I can see it, a little bit." She began to really squint for a few seconds, but eventually gave up. "Or maybe it's just my eyes playing tricks on me."
