Okami did not have a talent for fishing, in fact, she can't help but feel a little seasick. Maybe it was simply because she was largely an indoor person, she simply watched others fish and pull out from the sea normal fish and fish that made her gawk in awe. Okami can't help but feel a little pity towards the fish that were pulled out, and since they weren't prized, tossed and left alone for the fisher to catch a new one.
It was a waste of food and Okami can't handle that. The purple haired mechanical grabbed her blade and got to work. She requested a large cutting board and a hard table and was greeted with largely confusion but got her items regardless. Folding up her shawl, she grabs the fish that weren't being considered for the pile and made preparations. Maybe the magic of Terrasphere's RPG will help her pull it off just like the masters of Japan.
A single fish, a mackerel looking one was laid out and Okami pulls out her blade and got to work. Onlookers were greeted with the sight of an artisan shaving the scales of a fish with a blade as long as her arm, masterfully slitting the fish and stripping it bare of its bones with clean "blink and you miss it" cuts. Not a single slice was off stroke and the satisfying sound of chopping filled the atmosphere around her.
Once a fish was filleted, Okami would demanded plates as she tosses the fillets into the air. As the sun gleamed down upon her steel, thin slices of fish were made in several clean strokes. Okami was slowly getting into a rhythm. She was having fun. She used the sound of steel against chopping board to make rhythmic music as she got to work on fish after fish, plating their clean fresh flesh into thin spirals on porcelain plates. She even begun to flourish. The occasional backhand toss, moments were she posed after finishing cuts.
She was getting into a sushi making groove and everyone on board was allowed to feast their eyes as well as satisfy their mouths.
