Okami did not have a talent for fishing, in fact, she can't help but feel a little seasick. Maybe it was simply because she was largely an indoor person, she simply watched others fish and pull out from the sea normal fish and fish that made her gawk in awe. Okami can't help but feel a little pity towards the fish that were pulled out, and since they weren't prized, tossed and left alone for the fisher to catch a new one.

It was a waste of food and Okami can't handle that. The purple haired mechanical grabbed her blade and got to work. She requested a large cutting board and a hard table and was greeted with largely confusion but got her items regardless. Folding up her shawl, she grabs the fish that weren't being considered for the pile and made preparations. Maybe the magic of Terrasphere's RPG will help her pull it off just like the masters of Japan.

A single fish, a mackerel looking one was laid out and Okami pulls out her blade and got to work. Onlookers were greeted with the sight of an artisan shaving the scales of a fish with a blade as long as her arm, masterfully slitting the fish and stripping it bare of its bones with clean "blink and you miss it" cuts. Not a single slice was off stroke and the satisfying sound of chopping filled the atmosphere around her.

Once a fish was filleted, Okami would demanded plates as she tosses the fillets into the air. As the sun gleamed down upon her steel, thin slices of fish were made in several clean strokes. Okami was slowly getting into a rhythm. She was having fun. She used the sound of steel against chopping board to make rhythmic music as she got to work on fish after fish, plating their clean fresh flesh into thin spirals on porcelain plates. She even begun to flourish. The occasional backhand toss, moments were she posed after finishing cuts.

She was getting into a sushi making groove and everyone on board was allowed to feast their eyes as well as satisfy their mouths.

Ariweyn staggers beck towards the group, not used to the movement of the ship. the swaying, the jostling, the amount of people? it was too much for her for the first few hours of the event, and she could have been found by the railing, unable to move to escape. After a while, she was able to get some medicine for motion sickness made so she could move around without feeling as sick.

"so, what is going on? I... Oh it's pirates! I got something for... one of you. its first come first serve and I have a limited number of these things"

She dons her hat and rifles through her beach bag, which has the same star motif as her regular outfit. one thing after another appears as she looks, first it was a small flag, a bag of makeup, some combs, and soon it gets comically out of hand, with a fake cat, a goat statuette and a whole alchemy table falling out of the bag and into the water, never to be seen again. she is about to throw her tarot cards overboard before stopping and placing them to the side. she will then hold up a little mesh bag, filled with wax paper wrapped things.

"Aha! here they are! I made them a bit ago. I'm sorry if some of them are sour. I'm not too good at making sugar stars"

the Astramancer will then hold out a little candy star, waiting to shove one into someone's mouth to give them a boost.

With the round of Basseals done with, Harper couldn't help but be proud. She had won! Her strength paid off here, giving her an advantage against her peers in hauling the seal-fish. She would give herself some time to rest, looking around to see if anyone was offering some snacks. After all, one couldn't work at maximum capacity on low fuel.

Her ears would perk up at the mention of a limited number, the beastkin walking up to @Ariweyn Laundale to inquire further... And getting a star shoved into her mouth. It was good though, so she didn't mind that. Giving her a thumbs-up, she'd waltz towards the next source of snacks: @Hanasakura Okami 's sushi. Grabbing a plate with a quick "Thanks!", she would gulp it down quickly before looking at her next objective: The Sea Raider's ship.

Fishing was more fun than she initially gave it credit, but there was something more fun just waiting to happen right in front of her. However, she did have the sea between her and the raiders, and it was definitely not within jumping distance. Nicole knew how to swim, but swimming in a pool and swimming in an active sea were two completely different things. Then again, Nicole was just an above-average human, and Harper had a plethora of advantages over her.

Given that Jester was probably still on the sea, the tigress would shout to anyone in hearing distance. "Last one to get a fish from those raiders has to clean the deck!" She probably wouldn't have the authority to impose such a punishment, but it was fun to play around with the concept nonetheless. And it did give her a hell of a motive to do well herself.

Trusting in her big cat instincts, she would run towards the deck before diving into the sea, using her brute strength to dart through the water. Once at the ship, she'd use her claws to climb the hull, grabbing an unfortunate raider who tried to peek over the deck to see what the noise was about by the throat and throwing him to the sea. Once on the deck, she'd grab the nearest rare-looking fish and hold it with her mouth, before diving back and making her way to the ship.

Ooh, I got one! Look! It's cute, right? Why are you backing away? Hello?

She showed the basseal she caught to Steph, who quietly disappeared to the other part of the ship.

Time to plunder, eh?

Dun-dun-durun dun-dun-durun dun-dun-dun-dun durun-durun. Dun-dun-durun-dun, dun-dun-dun!

Moonsong muttered the melody to 'He's a Pirate', before switching to Metal Gear theme as she dove into the sea and used Arcanamancy to conjure underwater swimming apparatus that enabled her to boost into the Raider ship undetected. How she'll sneak up and go inside is a separate matter.

She listened intently as the Marchioness offered information, relayed by Steph, regarding the five very friendly Basseals that had come onto the deck. The redhead picked one of the seals to demonstrate a point, earning and angry grunt from it before it waded over to @Imoogi for scritches and comfort. "Huh, that's really cool, to think even in the same species there can be such a vast difference..." Nature really was wild like that, the Lepus' hand absently resting on the seal that had remained by her side before she watched the blubbering body shift and curl up for a nap.

"Pssst, Steph...!" Toko had noticed the sad look on the girl's face as the others interacted with the Basseal, softly calling out to get the attention of the redhead (@Raid Boss) before a hand motioned for Stephanie to come closer as the rabbit quietly pointed down at the Basseal that was now starting to slumber. "You can probably pet this one... just try not to startle it too much."

* * * * *

Eventually their good times were interrupted; first by the pirates who decided to pass by for another round of gloating against the Imperial Petunia, though their visit was short lived as Sea Raiders in the distance appeared. Still, much like the redhead had mentioned, this presented the group with a good opportunity to flip the tables on the pirates... a grin lining Toko's lips before she looked at the Felis that hed been keeping her company all this time.

"Should we go pay them a visit, Brutus~?"

After all it sounded like the raiders might have way too many rare fishes in their ship, the least good Guild members like them could do was help relieve them from such a burden...

Finally she had managed to haul a massive as fuck Basseal onto the deck, the blonde quickly wasting no time on dispatching this particular creature before it got a chance to run amuck around the Travelers. Not too far the redhead leading this mission caught her attention, Stephanie's thumbs up returned in kind by Lúthien (@Raid Boss) before the blonde wiped some of the sweat that had formed on her forehead from the effort her latest catch had taken.

"Fuck... I think this is the biggest Basseal yet on this ship!!!"

Said creature was soon taken away, probably to serve as a good meal for the players working up an apetite on deck, before the alarm of raiders caught the attention of the elf and her companions. "Oh hell yeah, time for the pirates to get pirated~!" Already the tigress was diving towards the raider ship with a call to the others, earning a chuckle from Lúthien before the ranger took a moment to consider her own options.

A part of her was tempted to just rush ahead like others had, after all it was quite the infectious energy, but Lúthien's gaming experience reminded the elf that a direct approach wasn't always the smartest or most efficient to make. "Right, vamos a ver si he mejorado..." Quick motions brought the UI inventory to her screen, the ranger drawing her bow and quiver, before long stretches of rope were attached to the end of some of her arrows.

"Here goes everything~!"

She took aim towards the Sea Raider's ship, infusing each arrow with Aeromancy to help carry it farther, before watching as a few of them found decent purchase on various parts of the enemy's ship.

"Hey, if anyone needs help crossing over feel free to use these!!!"

Loudly she called out to nearby Travelers, the blonde now busy tying the other end of the ropes to the Imperial Petunia's deck railing to provide additional support for anyone crossing with them.

It was time to conquer the raiders...

WOOSH

A loud splash as a waterspout shot from the ocean beside the Raider's ship.

From the top of dissipating, waterspout came a female which somersaulted in the air before landing hard on the ship's deck. Causing the ship to rock some and definitely drawing attention.

The wet woman stood and shook her wet hair as two burly men approached her with a mix of emotions, from awe at what the fuck was she was doing here, to obvious momentary ogling.

"ALRIGHT! I finally caught up to these ships! Oceans are totally awesome! I need to get Des out here and show her what she's missing and stuff!"

The random lady in a skimpy bikini flashed a 3-fingered V sign at the pirates as her other hand rested on her hip. She looked like she may have actually... swam all the way out here?

The raiders weren't going to have it, so unless this lass was here for a more fade-to-black sort of thing they were ready to chop her up on the spot. Weapons became drawn and awes turned to scowls.

"Huh?"

Two rushed her only to have wet fists slam into both of their stomachs and send them flying. This of course led to several more as the raiders found themselves an intruder and focused on her over the Petunia's sneaky(?) crew.

"This what they call a boat party!? A little rough okay? I'm just taking a breather before I head back, you know? "

After several more raiders had been embarrassed here. They changed their tactics now bringing different longer ranged weapons and... a call for a captain. This was the wrong ship to use for a pit stop that's for sure. She was just going for a lap out here for fun. Lame!

"Seriously, I get the picture, what a bunch of losers. I'm not wrestling with you on vacation! MHM! Time to mosey on back! You guys need to like, totally learn better manners, FOR SURE!"

Jumping onto the ship's rails she backflipped into the ocean leaving a wave of water crashing onto the chasing raiders.

Some summer trip this has been!

<Lady Saya caused a distraction from a random appearance that may help now... but what about after? BLESSING or CURSE?>

The spirit of rhymes had come back into sight not in the water or on the Imperial Petunia, but on the raiders' ship. She landed with a grin, which quickly turned into a look of curiosity as some other woman with purple hair was knocking people out.

It was appreciated, but the timing was a little awkward.

She then decided that maybe these raiders didn't need toys in time out, and started trying to see if they had any interesting fishies laying around.

The basseal were being friendly... very friendly. And the fact they didn't seem to understand their own strength meant that Imoogi was struggling to stay on her feet.

Could you all calm down or something? I don't have any more fish.

They didn't seem to care, though, sniffing through her clothing. She had beast mastery, sure, but these things didn't look like they had any useful poison.

...I bet they've got lots of fish on that boat over there, though. Wanna go check it out?

As if it understood, one of the basseal half-followed, half-shoved her towards the railing. She got on, and away they went to the other boat. A fish that ate fish was probably going to be better at finding them than her, right?

Hyakin fought to catch the slippery seal-like fish. He fought and, well, he was fighting. He did not win, but he was fighting. And when the young lady that lead this expedition cheered on him, Hyakin grinned and waved at her, almost preening at the attention.

"Thank you Lady Stephanie (@Raid Boss) for your heartfelt encouragement! Yes, I can do it!" And bolstered by the cheer, he started next attempt. And another one. And another one, that still stayed an attempt.

He kept trying until the pirate ship anchored next to theirs, the ship getting in the way. Hyakin glanced at the captain who looked pirate-like but in the more benign way. Which was why when he heard about raiders, he realise that there were two types of pirates it seemed. …It reminded him something of an old classic anime he heard about pirates, something about one pie?

Either way those thoughts were chased away as new adventure awaited them.

Because Hyakin was sure: It was not unchrivalious to take the ill-gotten bounty of such curs!

And so he took a deep breath and followed what others did – going into sea to board the raider's ship!

Hyakin jumped in, managing to jump beautifully; there was little splash, almost unheard and he swam swiftly towards the ship. Using his strength, it was easy to climb the ship, if it took bit time and he hauled himself and then, as quietly as possible, he sneaked around – he was lucky he was not wearing his armour right now.

Edit after roll:

He was lucky, there was no one around and he moved away from the group, he got lost but found a catch with some really neat looking fish. He had no idea if it was rare fish or not, but he took as much as he could - which was only two due tot heir size and then managed to somehow find his way out and jumped into the water, swimming bit awkwardly back to Imperial Petunia.

The sight of an incoming boat was enough to bring Cidney back into action. Not wanting to leave the raiders alone, she swam aboard beside @Luthien and @Jester so as to keep an eye around them... And the rest of the boat, she supposed. It was a bit hard considering that one person in this group flew over the ropes twice as fast as the other two, but she still helped Luthien aboard-no, she seemed to just be shaping the water up as a support.

Cidney felt a bit left out here. A ropewalk's time later had her atop the boardwalks, threatening pirates that she would start a boat-fire should they ever lay their hands on her. The mere thought of how such a disaster would go was enough to keep them off her back.

Instead of looking for fish, Cidney spent time 'building' walls around unnecessary corridors to keep people from reaching Jester as she searched-as well as to direct other hopeful hunters towards the fish storage.

With the friendly basseals jumping over the boat, Ruby climbed the boat, spitting the fish she had on her mouth to a basseal, that happily took it.

Her cheeks turned slightly rosy at @Fina Drago's compliment, even if her expressions didn't change much, with the exception of a very faint smile. "And you are looking lovely as usual." She said, knowing that Fina didn't change her usual outfit that much. But honestly, someone like her didn't need to change much to continue looking cute.

Taking a glance at the sea riders from a far, and seeing the plans of some, Ruby nudged Fina gently and suggested:

"What if we go there and take some fishes? I will distract them for you." She said, taking her liuqin out of her UI Inventory, ready to go and distract the sea riders.

Brutus would raise an eyebrow to Toko and shoot her a sly smirk. "What good Adventurers would we be if we didn't help those in need?" He would chug the rest of his beer and crush jt in his hand. "And they look like they might be distressed with the amount of fish they've got. Lets take a lookieloo eh?"

He'd offer her a hand and with that he was off to the races with a whoosh of flame as he would jet over.

Askera found himself aboard a new boat. His adventures in pacing while his mind was away had taken him across a long tightrope into a pirate's vessel. Somehow, he had just looked unassuming enough that the raiders had just ignored him, thinking that he was not a threat. Askera was thankful for this.

He was testing the advanced applications of a new device he had made, a fish-radar that pinged when finding fish. Notably, it just seemed to ignore solid objects that weren't fish. This allowed him to search for the room full of the stuff in a quick and affable manner.

Things were undoubtedly evolving at a rapid pace. Perhaps a bit too fast for Fina's liking. As far as she understood, they were part of some strange fishing competition against pirates, of all people, and now there was a threat of someone even worse? But they were still gonna go for it and even try to steal from these raiders or whatever? Well, she trusted @Crimson Ruby, even if the plan sounded a tad dangerous. "You better play a really good one then! Okay… time to try something!"

Her clothes were basically already a swimsuit, so it was easy to just leap over the boat's edge and go into the water. Or below it, actually. Using her arcanamancy, Fina conjured up a trident with an astral chain attached to it. With all of her might, she tossed it toward one of the raider boats in hopes of it sticking to the wooden exterior so she could pull herself toward it and then climb up through one of the lower windows, as long as they were not all filled with cannons.

Now to just hope that none of the people on board would hear the thud from her weapon…

Ilusa's ears and tail sprang up as the red-headed menace walked up to her and spoke words of praise and her golden eyes shimmered and glimmered and the felis could almost imagine that if she was a caenis beastfolk, there wold be tail wagging behind her.

She got goosebumps from receiving such gaze from this person and her annoyance raised again. Even if a part of her speech made her feel appreciated, because yes, she caught something of great value years ago, Astor was one of great, great value.

Still, she clamped down on the instinctive reaction and instead sent a serene smile towards the little gremlin. And yet the UI-locked player might feel a sense of danger.

"Before making a decision… I will see what Astor will do with you Stephanie." Ilusa's smile stayed beatific.

+++

Plundering the raiders was a necessity to keep the treasury in Astorea hands. Ilusa was making things on fly. Jumping into water and shivering at the cold of the sea-water, using Divine Magic to make golden chains attached to the enemy ship and letting them pull her up instead of climbing on her own.

Her swimsuit stuck to her body but was not see-through so her dignity was maintained. Ilusa moved slowly, trying to find some rare fishes that could help them keep ahead of the pirates.

"All systems green!"

The shout came out of a small faerin who had only just arrived. She was present since the start, but her magitech companion was having some trouble in the beach environment. The said companion was a 10-foot tall battle mech on top of which the fae rode as it was sprinting toward the water from the beach.

"ACKNOWLEDGED— BEGINNING TRANSITION INTO THE SUBMERSIBLE STATE!"

Jumping into the air, the entire hulking beast of metal would do a cannonball into the water, creating quite the splash before its body would start changing below the water's surface, almost turning into a strange submarine that Mystia held onto as it moved toward the incoming raider ships. Along the way, she even flew right past @Ilusa Nakhalee, waving at the girl in a friendly manner.

"CAUTION, SEA DOGS MAY NOT APPRECIATE THEFT OF RARE FISH. RECOMMENDED COURSE OF ACTION - STEALTH!"

They might have been underwater, but the girl still slapped the transformed mech a bit. If it were gonna keep shouting like that, then they would be discovered before they could steal anything at all! Not to mention that she couldn't exactly answer him either, having to keep her breath still until they would surface.

"Oh, that's so rude! Gloating isn't nice!"

Kamala wasn't impressed with the smelly pirate captain mocking them! She frowned at him and his ship, even as he sped away. But she had to let go of all those negative feelings when she heard about the threat of the raiders. Kamala frowned at the idea of lowering themselves to the pirates' level, but if everyone else were in agreement, then she could do nothing but support her friends. While the rest of them began to prepare to board the other ship, Kamala instead started cheering for their fisherfolk.

"You can do it, guys! We believe in you!"

For the money!

Chrys gave @Moonsong a cheeky grin. Guess she really wants to see me bare. The wording in his head was more mature but there are children here, so Uncle Chrys isn't going to be THAT explicit. Throwing the others a warm smile, he instead turned his attention towards the raiding ship and formulated a quick plan to make a quick steal. Anything for money.

"Watch my rod. I'll be back."

Chrys called forth his Thousand Sparkling Gold and formed a makeshift surfboard with what he could, manipulating the creation with his magic. On it, he crouched as he surfed towards the other ship, snuck aboard, almost got caught, but still found the rare fish. Come to uncle, fuiyoh. Chrys was in and out as fast as he could. He wasn't sticking around to find out whether the raiders were much nicer than what everyone had implied.

Unfortunately, he dropped the fish, so GG.

Brutus had the same idea as the Lepus, Toko quickly taking the offered hand before she piggy backed onto the lion as he used his pyromancy pseudo flight trick to land them on the raider's ship. Not far others had found their own ways to reach the vessel too, and the chaos quickly growing on the deck was quite mesmerizing... before Toko reminded ehrself that she was here to look for rare fishes.

"Let's grab as many as we can and hop on back to the Impreial Petunia, Brutus!"

COnsidering all the fish currently flopping through the deck of the Sea Raiders, thanks to the chaos as Travelers grabbed—and in some cases dropped—the nearest catches available to their hands, Toko thought this wouldn't be too difficult of a challenge... hopefully.
