This cat was pissy, it would seem, as it hissed and wriggled helplessly in Lucy's hands. Fearing she would get hurt, he simply took the cat from her, raised it to eye level, and his it with his Primal Aura.

Calm down.

The command was simple and clear, leaving the cat stunned as it stared into his eyes. The hisses immediately stopped, and the creatures settled down into his breast pocket as he gave it a light kiss on the top of the head for being a good kitten and not forcing him to use the implicated punishment that lay behind his gaze. He was not one for hurting kittens, but he would threaten them.

"Indeed, this is Kitten number four yes? Three more to go, and then we're done eh?" He would give her a light nudge his his elbow while his hypersense tried to pick out any of the remaining three in the distance. Luckily Kittens tended to meow to momma, communicated with them to let her know where they were and if they needed help. Brutus could use this to his advantage. Being a Felis, he would have the advantage of racial sympathy.

Something he would leverage to great advantage.

"I can't count..." Lucy stared blankly back at Brutus. Jokes aside, she would mumble in agreement at him naming this kitten as number four. That meant they only needed to save tree more kittens! They were almost done , meaning hopefully all of the kittens would be safely returned without much harm done to them.

It was pretty crazy how he had gotten the kitten to behave, and Lucy had managed to get away with only a few scratches on her hands.

Brutus seemed to be concentrating? Lucy couldn't tell but she silently waited to see what he would do. She fiddled with her tunic, waiting. The kitten was content sitting in the man's jacket pocket, and the faerin had to hold back as much as possible to not reach out and smother it with love.

God why did kittens have to be so stinking cute?

"Number four for sure." He replied, patting the cat on the head. The kitten mewled a little bit, looking down at the smol readhead from on high, looking smug. He would scoop up the readhead bridal style, allowing her to be a little closer to the kitten before stating.

"Sorry about all the manhandling, but we need to hurry a bit. The longer the other three are out the further they get from the barn and the more likely they will be to get injured. If I keep waiting for you to keep up we run the risk of wasting time." He picked up his pace. The purring kitten in his pocket was a slight distraction as he tried to narrow in on one of the last three. He would pick his pace up, breaking into a light jog. It would appear two of them were near eachother, a two for one special so to speak.

When he arrived on scene, he set the redhead down and squinted. The cats had managed to scamper up two incredibly tall tree's and were now on some of the top most brances something along the lines of sixty feet up.

"Jesus christ, these cats must have set a climbing speed record..."

Scooped up by Brutus, she couldn't help but comment on the matter. "Sheesh, we haven't even had our wedding yet! Picking me up like this, how inappropriate!" Lucy giggled before petting the kitten that she was now, absolutely close to. The smug face that was on the kitten was gone now that Lucy could do what she wanted with the smol thing.

The apology fell on forgiving ears, "No need to apologize, I don't mind!" Lucy swung her feet a few times before going back to resting in his strong arms, that way she didn't cause a hassle for the brute. The two arrived at the location of the next two, long before they would have been able to had Brutus not been carrying her.

They were in the high branches of a tree, which was perfect, because Lucy had specialty in TREE magic. She was set on the ground, where she wouldn't waste another second to set her magic into notion. She created little footholds in the tree trunk, making the branches weave in the perfect position for climbing up (to use as foot holds and hand holds). "There, now we can climb up the tree and get them. You go first, I don't want you to see my panties." She stared at Brutus in a serious yet blank expression, meaning she wasn't joking. She truly didn't want him to see anything.

"Why don't you go up that tree and I'll get the other one?" He suggested motioning to the other Cat in the other tree. Two trees, two cats, two climbers. He would pull his canon out of the magical UI realm and take a few steps over to the unmanipulated tree. Setting it down barrel first, he would hop up, wrapping his legs around the metal, careful not to squish the kitten in his breast pocket, he gave the woman a thumbs up and then snapped his fingers. Fire would jet from his canon, causing upward thrust as he had liftoff. The Canon, slowly at first, but rapidly gaining speed, would shoot upwards. He would sail upwards and as he did so, would pluck the now terrified kitten out of the tree with great speed before cutting the engines and banishing his canon to the UI realm. He floated in mid air for a moment, and then realized his mistake.

He didn't have a safe way down.

He began to fall, slowly at first, but that 9.8 meters per second squared acceleration was one hell of a bitch. He would reach terminal velocity if he didn't do something. He would tuck Kitten number 5 into his pocket with its sibling, and then with both hands he would reach out and snatch at a branch. He would sink lower, and the weight of him and the cats would be too much causing the branch to snap. He would reach out to another, and again it would snap. He would essentially hit most of the branches he could on the way down, but with ten feet to spare he managed to slow his descent enough to safely clamber down and drop from the last branch to the ground.

"Fuckin easy."

Okay he had a point, there were two trees and two kittens. No use them both climbing the same tree. The Faerin waited until Brutus made the move of flying up on his cannon, then she made her moves. Her fingers and feet hauling ASS against the tree, using her magic to make it even easier for herself. Each time she moved up, the footholds she had made below her would be returned to it's original shape.

It was a breeze, and she expended less energy than Brutus. She arrived at the kitten rather quickly, scooping it up as she stood safely on the branch it had been sitting on.

The view around her was splendid. As far as her eyes could see were seas of gold. In the distance a far-away line of forest trees, marking the Brisshals. Another direction, she could see the vast ocean horizon, and another she saw the city. It made her want to have a treehouse just so she could come and see it whenever she wanted to... Or if she could gain the power of flight....

Her decent would be much smoother than Brutus, but she would still watch him fall with concern... That was until he grabbed the first branch. Her concern turned to amusement as he slowed himself down by grabbing each branch. Albeit, each one would snap under his weight. Lucy secretly strengthened the last branch that he would touch, so it would be able to finish his slow. He arrived safely on the ground, where Lucy would hold her skirt and peer out of the tree. "Brutus! Catch me!"

Lucy leaped from the branch, holding onto the kitten with both hands to keep it from falling out of her embrace. Her mana mantle flashing forth, a pair of fairy-looking wings sprouting from her back. She hadn't had much time to decide how her racial trait would look, so originally she had settled on fairy-wings. Though she had all intentions to change it in the future. Although she couldn't fly, her trait still enabled her to become slow-falling.

She descended towards Brutus, it was still fast enough to need to be catched (Lucy is literally a klutz okay)... Yet it was slow enough to have no danger of fall damage, should Brutus fail to catch her...

The giant would check in on his kitten, which was literally scared stiff. Trembling violently, the giant catman doted on the small shivering kitten, before turning up to watch Lucy scream "Catch me" and then jump into the air like this was some sort of Disney Princess Repunzel moment.

"Shit fuck!" The giant barked, dashing over from his tree to the bottom of hers, arms splayed out ready to make the mother of all touchdown catches. He would even slide down on one knee to make sure he got there in time, only to realize, much to his surprise, that she was floating downwards. "Huh?"

That was anticlimactic.

He would wait patiently as she drifted down into his open arms, like a leaf in the wind, or princess peach with her parasol out. It donned on him, that a skill like that would have been really nice to have just a few minutes ago, but that was what he got for being a showoff. A couple of bruises and whatnot.

Either way, once she was safely in his arms, he would gently lower her to her feet and chuckle a bit. "That's one hell of a party trick there Lu. And that's...kitten five and six yeah?"

Floating into Brutus' arms made her feel like she was in a fairytale. One where the princess gets saved by a big angy dragon. Alas, he would pluck her out of her slow decent, setting her on the ground. Compliments on her "party trick" would make Lucy shoot a fist in the air out of victory. "Yes, that would definitely make six out of seven."

Lucy would take a moment to think before coming up with an idea, "I know you can hear where the kitty is, and I'm slow considering things... " Lucy held up her finger for Brutus to be quiet for a second as she picked up the branches that Brutus had torn off the tree. She then quickly fastened a make-shift basket (out of nature magic to make it go ZOOM ZOOM the flash!) She turned to face Brutus, placing her kitten inside, then she would hold it out for him to put his kittens in. "If only we had a blanket for them.... BUT my idea was, with this basket I can carry them easier, and you can put me on your shoulders and we can go zoom zoom to the last kitten! Like... THE FLASH!" Her eyes sparkled with excitement as she explained her idea.

Brutus would nod along as the redheaded fairy spoke. His eyes would widen as she crafted a small basket for the Kittens, promptly placing the two of his Kittens in as well. They'd a furry little hat trick on their hands, and they were soon to be four kittens.

"Shame about the blanket, but I can dig the whole plan." The Giant replied, grinning slightly. He had zero complaints scooping the woman up and setting her gently on his shoulders. "You comfortable?" He would ask, allowing her to adjust as needed before closing his eyes. Focusing, he would try to drown out all unnecessary sound, which was rough given that he could hear both Lucy's and the kittens heartbeats given their proximity to his head. As he dove deeper into his mental focus, he could hear a pin drop a mile away. He could hear each breath Lucy took, the purrs of the kittens cuddling in the basket, the whisper of the wind on the grass. The rustle of leaves, and the whirring and grinding of millstones as a windmill spun slowly.

Mew.

His eyes shot open. "Fuck! the Windmill!" He grunted, "Hold on tight!" He would dash forward, breaking into a full sprint at the drop of a hat. His large gait pounded the dirt, and send the wind whipping through Lucy's hair.

Set upon his shoulders, the whole world was seen from an entirely different perspective than the one that the fairy was used to. Everything was so high, granted it wasn't as high up as the tree was, but she still enjoyed the change of perspective. Settling in until she was comfortable she tried her best to hold her breath as Brutus focused in on the world around him.

She couldn't stop every breath that she was letting out, unfortunately. Before Brutus began to move, he shouted out something about a windmill. The bounding steps jostling her lightly, placing the bucket directly on his head (while still holding onto it) to keep the kittens more secure.

Anyone looking at the duo would most likely laugh, and given any other scenario, Lucy might have laughed as well. Riding on Brutus' shoulders was fun, she felt more speedy than she ever had. Each stride the man took would be a leap with her tiny legs.

The windmill was now directly in front of them, her hair in a tangled mess due to the wind. Not caring about the hair, she would take a look at every inch of the windmill. "I- I can't see the kitten.. Do you see it?" Lucy's voice was laced with panic.

The giant would scan the area, his eyes narrowing as he looked around for the missing feline. He could hear it crying, but he couldn't figure out where. Finally, a blur of motion drew his attention upwards, and soon his hand would shoot upward pointing out the black kitten to his spotter.

"There it is! Hanging on the sail of the windmill!" He would declare, grimacing. "How're we gonna work our way up there?" He couldn't quite figure out a way to go about trying to approach the cat, he would linger at the base of the windmill, hemming and hawing while the kitten frantically clutched onto the river it had managed to climb onto.

"Shit, how did it even get up there?" He found himself asking. "And how can I repeat that process?" He would reach up, grab Lucy by the waist and raised her off his shoulders, gently setting her down on the ground and patting her head.

Her face was flooded with horror as Brutus pointed out where the kitten was. It seemed to be hanging on for dear life.... Lucy was set down as they mulled over how to get it down from where it was hanging on for it's dear life. The windmill was rotating, and Lucy had no clue how long it had been rotating for. Nor did she understand why the kitten would attach itself to the windmill.

Though the reason behind it was obviously clear as she noticed a pack of wolves hiding from them behind the windmill. She nudged Brutus' arm gently, bringing them to his attention. "Seems like we've got company... At least now we know why the kitten is on the windmill in the first place..." Lucy looked at the wolves, looking back at Brutus, looking at the kitten, looking at Brutus and back at the wolves. She repeated the process a few times before she had a plan.

"Here's the plan. You're strong, got good legs. You can jump really high too. I'm going to leave the kitten to you, and I'm gonna go beat up some bullies." Lucy took this next moment to crack her knuckles, giving Brutus a look as if to tell him to trust her. She could easily beat up someone that was bullying a helpless cutie like the kitten, right?

Brutus would turn to the woman, then his eyes would shoot to the wolves, then back to her. "You uh, sure bout that?" He would ask. Lily, eyes resolute in her anti bullying ways would give him a nod, and he would give her a pat on the head. "Alright, you're on dog duty, I'll get the cat." He would watch the blades of the windmill turn slowly in the wind, take a deep breath, and take off into a dead sprint. He would dig his canon into the dirt, using it as a makeshift pole vault as he flung himself into the air and landed against the sailed blade of the windmill with a thunk. He would grip the ribbing of the structure for dear life, scrambling with his feet to find a foothold. Once he had his grip, he began a slow climb upwards towards the scared to death kitten.

He would stare at it and with his primal aura he would simply pass along the message of "I help, stay still." Slowly working his upwards.

This was going to be tough.

To be honest, she had no clue how to fight, she never had been much of a fighter to begin with... But she would do anything to save the cute fluffy kitten, including trying her best to beat up these bully doggos. Clenching her hands into fists she would saunter over as Brutus began his ascent to the windmill.

She kept a tab of her conscience on him should he require her assistance to create a soft landing as she let the remainder of her conscience on the wolves. Her feet sliding towards them, Calm your heart girl, wolves can sense fear. Lucy took a few deep breathes, letting her heartbeat soften. The previously pounding having numbed to a light beat. Yet it could still be heard in her ears, it was just slower.

Focusing she opened up her channels of magic, letting her aura be known to the wolves. They seemed to be aware that they had been found out as the wolves stepped out of the spot behind. Three of them total, emerging and shaking their heads, their scruff flowing side to side. Lucy had to hold it together, else she would squeal in how cute they were being.

Focus Celia.... You got this, they're not cute... They're... MEAN! and EVIL!....... Aww, who am I kidding, they're absolutely adorable! SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! Okay okay, now you need to focus. You got out your little whatever, and now you have to teach them a lesson for frightening and chasing Mr. Fluffy.

Lucy held out her hand, summoning all of her courage as plant life around her came to more life than it had been. Her will carrying on, as the bushes and grass around the wolves became an odd sort of hell. They let out yelps of pain, nipping at the plants. Clawing to get it off of them. Lucy was doing a pretty good job, and hopefully... Just hopefully, this would scare them away....

Brutus would continue to climb upwards towards the cat, carefully placing his hands and feet as he King Konged his way over to the kitten. It was about a few minutes into this climb that he realized his problem. The fan would continue to rotate, and soon he found himself climbing sideways, straining his body in new ways he'd never experienced before. Then he was upside down, and he found himself panicking slightly. His harms had to hold him up, and his feet had to hook under the struts.

"Shit shit shit" he growled, holding on for dear life. The cat mewled scared, and soon Brutus was back to being sideways, and back to scampering across the scaffolding and finally to the cat. "Jesus christ," he would growl, stuffing the scared kitten into his pocket. He would wait till the fan was posted straight down and slid down the ribbing like a fire pole, dropping several feet and stumbling to his feet.

"Shit." he growled, staggering towards Lucy.

Fighting the wolves was difficult work, Lucy wasn't used to the killer aura to be directed at her.. It crumbled her will more times than she cared to admit, yet she held on... She had to become strong enough to protect those she cared about, and to protect cute things like the kitty.

Her feet planting firmly in the ground as she began to arch her hands above her head. The flow of nature following her movements, causing two of the wolves to be caught up and tangled within vines and grass. Thorns growing on all sides of the vines, ripping through the wolves' pelt as they wiggled, trying to get out of nature's grip.

Their yelps in pain brought Lucy back to the ground, her arms dropping as she covered her face. A small gasp escaping, "I'm so sorry... I just... You guys bullied! You can't go around picking on others that are smaller than you." She chastised the wolves as she felt bad for them. The two in the vine lock seemed to feel remorse for their actions, though the one that was free was quite the opposite. Her lecture had appeared to fall on deaf ears, the wolf glaring, shooting even more of a harmful aura at her.

Lucy activated her magic again, causing pores to fill the air around the wolves, shooting out sleepy-type pollen. All the wolves were breathing it in, the two in the vines growing limp as they fell asleep.

However the one that was still furious simply sneezed and made a lunge at Lucy. It ripped free of her nature-barrier, now out of the pollen and making a beeline straight for her. Lucy, scared shitless took a step backwards... Only to realize her mistake a little too soon. She fell backwards, falling on her bottom and covering her face as the wolf rained down on her. Clawing and biting at her arms, or any part of her body really. Lucy cried out for Brutus, completely helpless due to her fright.

"LUCY!" Brutus roared.

He'd never moved so fast in his life, his knee smashing into the wolves face causing it to yelp. The creature would yelp and roll back, landing on it's feet to snarl at the giant, only to watch in awe as he shoved his barrel point black into the hounds face, instead of a canon shot, he blasted flames through it, frying the hound in a flash of flames, roasting it almost immediately. The noise alerted the sleeping hounds, but when they turned to the enraged Felis, he simply urged them with his primal Aura.

RUN

The creatures yelped and scrambled to their feet and out of Lily's bindings, trailing blood behind them as they scampered away. He would throw his canon aside and turn back to the injured redhead, kneeling beside her.

"Are you okay Lu? How bad does it hurt? How's your healthbar?" He would gently cradle her in his arms as he fussed and fawned over the injured fairy princess.

All the pressure on her body disappeared in an instant. Her arms slowly lowering, eyes scanning the clearing. It seemed like Brutus had burned the wolf alive, an instant but painful death. The other two had scampered away from them. She was scooped up and then fussed over. Thankfully that his touch was gentle and soft, helping not cause the pain to ignite and flare back up.

She checked her health bar when Brutus asked, grimacing at seeing it 75%. She carefully moved her arms, testing her mobility. Wincing as the claw and bite marks began stretching and contorting with her arms. "I'm at about 75%, but I honestly.. I feel like shit, everything hurts." Lucy frowned, "Sorry to be such a bother... I shouldn't have thought I could handle it..." Lucy closed her eyes before opening them again.

Panic flooding her face, "Is the kitten okay?!" She scrambled a little, the panic flooding out the pain until her eyes dawned on the kitten that was peeking its head out of his pocket. Concern flooding his eyes. Lucy calmed down and settled back into Brutus, "Thank the gods..." Then the pain hit her again, "I feel like I can't even lift a finger to even heal myself without the pain flaring up." Goddamn, bites and scratches of wolves hurt.

"For starters." Brutus would chide as he bopped her nose. "We have to make mistakes in order to learn." He would smile warmly. "The kittens are ok, we need to worry about you." He would think for a moment, then reach into his inventory and pull out the large apple. She'd suped it up with nature magic not too long ago, he imagined some of that healing energy was left lingering and coursing through it.

"Here." He would, using a knife sheated in his boot, cut off a sizeable chunk for her and hand it to her. "You should be able to nibble at this and regain some HP." He would pat the kitten before placing it into the basket with the other two.

"Now then, lets get these lil ones back to their momma, and get you up on your feet." He would gently lift her to his feet and ruffle her hair. "You were super brave, I'm hella proud of you."

She began to nibble at the apple slice like a chipmunk, taking in the flavor and the leftover magic residual. She felt her health and energy slowly filling as Brutus helped her to her feet.

It was a bit difficult at first, but Lucy kept nibbling away until she finished, holding her hands out for Brutus to hand her another. He ruffled her hair, and Lucy let out a mmmmphm of complaint, pushing her hands up to remove Brutus' hand from her head. Holding it in both, she took note of just how big it was. When he said he was proud of her she beamed up at him, "Thank you, it means a lot... Yknow, your hands are pretty big compared to mine." She positioned his hand to line up with one of hers, holding them in the air for him to see as she continued to nibble on the newest apple slice from Brutus.
