Creating the character had gone smoothly, so smoothly that Naomi had at first wondered just how complex this system could possibly be. Her research had left her with little in the way of answers, other than learning that the majority of the world wanted to pretend this place didn't exist, that there was nothing to be found - and that, if she hadn't already logged in and found out, the world of Terrasphere was nothing more than a simple dream and fallacy made by others. A fake world, created to lure in those who didn't know better, in the hopes of finding something amazing and miraculous.
Kyra knew, now, that at least some of those beliefs were false. While the character creation itself had been painless, as all things go, it had been overtly detailed as well. She'd modelled her ideal imagery, giving it the long silvered hair and blue eyes she'd always wanted herself. She'd chosen a beastfolk of a fox nature, deciding that it matched her desire for animals above all else. She'd taken time, more time than she cared to admit, in its creation - but she knew it would be a representation of herself, and she wanted it to be perfect.
Her next step had labelled itself as Mastery Selection, but Naomi had noticed a glitch with the system - her Masteries already chosen and her setup inaccessible for reasons she couldn't figure out. More in frustration than anything else, she chose to move to the next step, choosing her name. She'd studied the screen before her intensely for a few moments, before slowly typing in the first thing that came to mind. Kyra Varyth.
Her hand had hovered over the completion button for a time, staring at the character creation she'd gone through, wondering if she'd done it perfectly. She'd felt, if not seen, the teeth biting her bottom lip in anticipation, worry, doubt and emotions she couldn't quite name at the time. Sighing to herself, she placed her finger on the button - and suddenly felt everything change.
The world had spun as she'd suddenly felt the ground give out beneath her. Where everything had been dark moments ago, the black world that had been the character creation screen giving way to the new world she found herself in, Kyra found herself blinded by light searing into her eyes and a wind slashing and pulling at her face. She could barely see the greenery of the world below coming up towards her as she realised, belatedly, that she had been falling through the sky towards solid ground.
She wanted to scream, to cry out, to do something to save herself - but before she'd had so much as an inkling of thought towards her own safety and security, her descent had begun to slow. Calming, the wind released her face ever so slightly - enough that she was able to take in the view around her. As far as her eyes could see, the horizon stretched. Woodlands directly beneath her gave way to civilised areas, small villages and towns in the far distance, and everywhere she looked she could see signs of life. Nature held root in many areas, but Kyra found herself spotting wagons and horses, and small bodies that would likely be humanoids, travelling through the various roads, pathways and other stretches that opened between flora and developed bodies.
The world appeared open before her; clearly populated, but not overwhelmed by the creatures that would call it home. It feels...young. Although she'd barely entered the world, something about the lands felt new to her, fresh, as if waiting to be explored. As if waiting to have her find their secrets.
Her feet touched something, and she found her gaze shifting below her once more as she entered the treetops themselves. Branch, leaf and needle dragged across her skin, the feeling as real as if she were in the outside world. Naomi looked down at her hands, taking in her own form for the first time - what she could see matching the imagery she'd created only moments ago. Black leggings covered her legs, meeting tall black boots that appeared comfortable enough and gave no feelings of tightness on her feet. Hands gave way to a black, white and red jacket that covered a simple black turtleneck beneath.
Her feet reached the ground with a gentle bump - enough to shift her balance and force her to catch herself, her hand landing against a nearby trunk. Her eyes roamed over her form, taking in the new experience, getting a feeling for herself. Slowly, she glanced around her, looking over the various flowers, the trees, and the assorted other pieces of the forest that came into sight.

This is...so real...
And So Arrives New Kyra...
