Kaede did not get bothered by the girl's tone change or manners, she was used to seeing kids that acted like adults from the past and most the Landers developed early since here things happened sooner then real world did. That said when the girl bowed Kaede would only reach over to rustle Azykia's hair like a big sister might as she laughed and knelt down some to speak on more level terms.

"You don't need to give condolences, I've come to terms with my fate and just wish to ensure others don't befall the same without knowing it can happen and aware what the cost will be..."

Kaede would speak in a somber tone as she kept gently messing with the girl's hair, Totetsu moving to try and push Kaede away for giving someone else head pats in her presence. A small laugh as she would stand back to her feet and keep moving to clean the area. The girl was almost like a little sister to Kaede's mind, not someone she wanted to watch fall down the bad or sad path she herself had. Not someone she wanted more then sibling banter.

Sadly though Kaede also knew she was not someone that should have attachments to newer players, because those led to her past issues falling on them or making them a target to get Kaede back for her actions. So she would simply watch from afar like she always did, helping the bare minimal and trying not to get people mixed up in the darkness she sat within. Humming as the last few bodies got returned to the earth before she would look to Azykia.

"So would Kia-chan prefer an escort to town or maybe some helpful tips about the game and combat. You seem to have a rough way of sight without normal means. And seeing how you can tell where I am very easy it likely has to do with magic in someone. With some work you might be able to refine it and have little to no issue with navigating this world."

Kaede would consider what ways she could help train something like that, recalling the few books she got to read before the player kingdom had fallen to the airship. If she recalled correctly everything had 'magic' in it as in some schools of magic lifeforce was also fuel. So with the right practice everything around the girl could give off a sign it was there but explaining and what's more teaching such would be a big ask from the failed word smith that was Kaede.

As her head was pat, she seemed to be able to relax more and eventually stood back up. As the woman deduced, it was indeed her magic that made her visible, yet she still never looked directly at her. "Kaede-san is quite wise. Sometimes the magic is so faint that I can barely see it, but sometimes..."

She forced her pupil-less eyes to look directly at Kaede, at which point she began to squint in very obvious pain. After only a few seconds, she looked away again and took a few moments to shut her eyes tightly and recover from staring into what might as well be the sun, albeit somehow made of darkness and other discomforting auras.

"You're more difficult to look at than anyone I've ever seen. That must mean, I suppose, that you're teeming with a lot of different magic." She reached her right hand up to wipe away the tears from the blinding sight one eye at a time.

She looked with one eye over to Totetsu nearby and gave him a couple more gentle pets on his head as she considered her reply. "I'm sure I could manage my way back to Honeyhome somehow if you don't have the time..." Then, momentarily, Kaede could see the girl visibly shudder for a few seconds. "And despite my phobias, if ever given the choice, I would prefer to be able to escape safely than to fight anyone. Before, that was... Well, I didn't want you to get hurt in my stead. You understand, don't you?"

"I honestly don't... I would take on the pain of a million deaths so any one girl could avoid a paper cut... A soul as twisted as mine once was does not deserve others feeling like me getting hurt over them matters or is considered."

Kaede spoke as she reached into her bag and pulled a small ball and inflated it with magic before tossing it to Give Totetsu something to chase around, her right hand moving to keep the ball just out of reach most times so she could buy herself time to focus on other things that needed or rather she wanted to worry about. Her free hand pulling out her empty lens glasses as she knelt down and reached for Azykia's chin to keep the girl's head steady while she looked at the girl's eyes a bit closer.

Sure some would ask to be allowed such but at times Kaede just acted on her thoughts and right now she was far to curious and worried about the why this child's eyes had been damaged. The game itself was said to have a mechanic that avoid damage from the real world caring over, and there should be ways to undo damage so what was causing it? Moving closer so her slow breathing could be felt on the girl's face. Kaede words moving almost in a more monotone voice this time.

"If you don't mind me asking do you know around when your vision in game started to go? From the looks of things it was magical based, but without knowing the rough time I can't safely use my chronomancy to try and repair it if within the time I can turn back towards. The other choice I could try is using Animancy to reverse decay though it might actually take some time..."

It was when she was about to keep rambling more that it caught up to her she was a dark star in the girl's eyes and here she was right in front of them for so long without thinking about it. Hand letting the ball fall into Totetsu's reach as she set several dark curses on herself binding her magic down to roughly that of someone who the rank of C in the magic as she reached for eye drops from her bag and would try to use them on the girl's eyes to sooth the burn she likely had caused if Azykia did not move away during all the talking. it was also likely able to help the magic she could see more clear and confined. Though to Kaede it was just some eyedrops she made for a lander who had dry eyes using her magic and supplies she found that fit the right properties for it.

As her head was gently held in place, her eyelids twitched and trembled as a woman comparable to the sun brought herself right up into view. "I'm afraid I was brought into the game like this." She spoke softly with how close the two were. "Apparently, there's a good reason people don't click 'randomize' in the character menu." She was obedient and held herself as still as possible, but her eyes had run over with tears by the time Kaede realized she was probably just blinding her a second time all over again.

She took the moment after the binding to carefully reach up and rub her eyes free of those tears. Once she got herself back together again, Kaede was far more satisfying to look at. Not only was she no longer a source of discomfort and pain, but the level of magic actively coating her person at the moment was a rarely seen mix of vivid and subdued. The way it all washed together as the veteran pulled out eyedrops and began to administer them seemed to cause Azykia to being relaxing finally, rather than pressing all of her stress down to a compact layer crushed beneath years of experience holding her manners high and unbreakable.

"Do you think you could forgive me then, please, Kaede-san?" She couldn't help but to blink with each drop, as she wasn't used to using eyedrops in either world. "Because I can't bring myself to believe that someone showing so much kindness presently should be denied their mercy forever."

"Yo don't need to be forgiven you have done nothing wrong as far as I'm concerned. And the kindness I show now is nothing vs the darkness I've caused..."

Kaede would not explain it, she had made parents watch her kill their children after tormenting them, she had killed and brought back players for the fact she was wanting to be amused by the changes each time. She turned entire areas into wastelands because she had been told no by a woman during a drunk rampage. She was nothing short of a monster in mortal skin in her eyes and it was why she never looked into a mirror or reflective surface.

All that said though she would move to focus on Azykia's eyes some more now that she had her magic limited, part of her was willing to dial it back more if needed but for the moment she felt keeping it where it was would allow her to do some magic work on the eyes if she found out the cause. She was already locked out of Chronomancy because she could not turn time back more then a week at most without paying a blood fee herself and she doubted the girl wanted that for the low chance it would help.

That thought though would make Kaede move one hand to Azykia's left eye, the fingers framing it as she moved out of the way and gave her a clean line of sight to Totetsu. Her fingers closing a small ring akin to a lens as Kaede dug around her memory about lenses and how they worked and decided to try using a altered version of such as her free hand would snap fingers together to get Totetsu to sit down while chewing the ball in her large form. Magic lightly arcing across the space of her fingers as she adjusted the amount while speaking.

"If you don't mind me trying something... From what I can gather your eyes are override by the magic of the world around you, the things you see is the excess that your able to perceive. Tell me when the adjustment over your left eye allows you to see Totetsu over there clearly, I'll worry about rune reading later but right now I'd rather try to help you able to see clearly."

Kaede would adjust the magic exposed in a thin layer over the girl's eye, using her own lifeforce to make it less harmful on the eye and giving it a blue-ish white hue of the area. It was a focused area, but since it was designed as a lenses it should allow the girl to focus and see smaller details like the blades of grass with very little spark of magic since it was life magic within it, and the beating heart of Totetsu slowly becoming more or less visible based on how or when Azykia spoke about adjusting the lenses more or less focused.

OOC: Going off how the wording of the effect is, I'm assuming that by providing a focused lenses of magic that resides in all things living and even undead to grant the clearer sight for Azykai. It won't be a permanent or long lasting fix but Kaede might work on it more if it is desired even asking those with Magi-tech to assist since she has the knowledge and skills to craft it but not the magic to infuse to maintain something without being near it all the time.

OOC: Honestly I'm fine with it working for a minute. Usually when I play characters with drawbacks I don't like to circumvent the drawback, but I don't mind having the one 'big sis' that can make her sort of able to see sometimes. I don't think future research should bear fruits personally, and by the time research can happen she'll have more than simple blindness to deal with lmao.

-----------------------

"Well... I sadly don't have much insight to give. Even before Terrasphere, I never played games of any sort. This whole world, it really is a whole new world to me. I'm sure whatever you're saying makes sense, though..."

It was surreal watching runes in the vague shape of a dog morph and contort until it resembled a far more actually-shaped dog. Azykia's heart sank as she realized that whatever this woman was doing was working. Sort of.

She all too willingly instructed her until a nearly clear picture (albeit tinted with a gentle blue) of the world around her framed Kaede as she knelt down to work on her. While before now she couldn't particularly see her shape, she now saw the powerful mage for what she was in a physical sense. She wasn't sure what she expected, but it wasn't exactly what she got, not that it was a bad thing.

"Kaede-san, this is... incredible!" She remarked, practically vibrating in place at the thought that maybe she would be able to see normally at some point. "This isn't taxing on you, is it? I'm content with my existence with or without sight."

Kaede was happy she was able to help, taking that down as a note before she would reach into her bag to get her empty glasses frames and drawing a few quick runes across the frame. It would take her a bit of time but after infusing some extra SP into the frame to hold it for at least an hour she would hand them over to Azykia as she got out a small notebook to write the numbers down.

"It should last about as long as we hang out, after that when I get the free time I'll try to find ways to either fix it or work on improving the corrections but I don't want to get your hopes up. Even I know my magic only will work for so long before your eyes will adjust to that and blur things out again. This game is ruthless sometimes..."

Kaede would finish the last of the notes in her little booklet before placing it away and calling Totetsu back so she could recharge the ball and keep playing with the hound while she and Azykia talked. Kaede saw her as someone she wanted to protect and help, her dad would likely say that was either a motherly or sisterly care for a person and she did not feel old enough to be a mother so sister it was. reaching to pat the kids head some more as she sat down slightly winded.

"A little bit ha-ha... i tried to use the magic that resided within lifeforce itself so I maybe cut a few days off my own lifespan but Elves have a long life expectance so should be fine... Worst case I take the extra or remaining life of some undead to get back my lost time."

Kaede spoke, feeling at ease around the girl and not on edge about talking about her taboo magic, mostly because she did thin many people would believe her words of a nice taboo magic user, or maybe she was just sleepy and not in the mood to care extra about her own safety. A shrug as she flicked her fingers to release the ball and let Totetsu chase it and bring it back thinking the magic had worn out on it again. She enjoyed these peaceful moments and wondered what Kia-chan wanted to do.

At Kaede's warning, the young one nodded as she viewed the world around her with the newly acquired glasses. She always wondered if she was the sort of person who would look cuter with glasses, but she never needed them until now, and sunglasses obviously were totally different and didn't count in the slightest.

It was more after the mage mentioned her own mortality burning that she felt her heart skip a beat or two. There it was again. People in the other world had coddled her to a state she considered 'living death' even though she never needed any of it with how wealthy and spoiled she had been, and the people in Terrasphere proved time and time again to be far more kind than the people back in reality. Too kind, even, as time and time again Kia received sacrifice after sacrifice from the people around her. From clothes to conversations to temporary loss of sight now finally to a measure of one's time left to live. She felt like a leech. A parasite, who knew only how to drain the blood of every unsuspecting victim she came into contact with.

Without thinking too much about it, she reached up and gently clasped the woman's wrist and forearm with both hands, not moving her arm at all but just making the physical connection.

"Please don't do that for me, Kaede-san." For every person willing to help her, they each had their own reasons, and so discouraging truly kind people from sacrificing pieces of themselves for her sake was always a challenge to be considered. That was why she became very careful and sincere with her words if she hadn't already been. She made sure of it. "I would rather be blind than take anything like that from you. I would perhaps even rather be dead myself."

She rubbed her head against Kaede's hand instead of the other way around this time.

"Never say you would rather be dead yourself when people are willing to help you. I don't exactly know your past but you surely are not a person who has done enough wrong such a view of yourself is needed. I've hurt people, killed people, and tormented them... If giving part of my life helps someone else live a better one themselves then I'd gladly take years off my own."

Kaede would move to give the girl more head pats as she sat down and offered a spot beside her as she would keep speaking.

"When I first got locked into the game I was in a bad place, then the other players all vanished including my girlfriends and friends. I lost myself in drinking and violence. I attacked people over the smallest things, tortured other players and killed them. I made landers watch as I killed their children because I was in a bad mood... It got me locked up and was when I met the person who saved me from that dark abyss... But then I failed her, and now the demon is alive and the angel is buried in her back yard."

Kaede's tone was clear this was not a lie, how her hand slowed down as she recalled each memory she could in the drunk haze. But it did not seem she was done just yet.

"The worst issue, Nobody really knows it was me aside from you now if I'm telling the truth. There are people who deserve death, and then those who don't. You fall in the 'don't die' category little Kia-chan. Don't feel bad if people want to help you, but make sure to thank them even if you feel it is not wanted or desired... I should be taking my own advise ha-ha..."

"Ah-" She had forgotten to thank her, hadn't she? Ethics be damned, how did she forget basic manners? She was supposed to have mastered those long before now. Still holding Kaede's wrist if able, she tilted her head down. "Thank you for everything you've done for me, Kaede-san." There was a slight pause before she continued, as though she was uncertain about her next words.

"In the real world, people are bought out of their sentences time and time again. I know what it's like to feel less deserving of something than other people, though I certainly can't pretend I know what it's like to bear the sort of burden you have. My guilt all comes from doing nothing, not from inflicting pain on others."

She finally tilted her head up and peered through the lenses the veteran mage had crafted for her with care directly at her. "For you to say I deserve to live, I say it's just as fair for me to insist one last time, that I believe you can be forgiven."

"And... even if that truly isn't the case, then maybe this one young girl in a game can just forgive you instead."

She wasn't about to make light of the issue. Killing and torturing people was in the free bingo space on the terrible things you could do to someone bingo card. It was more that Azykia understood what little can drive someone to do something others consider unforgiveable. She couldn't truly understand this woman, but she could relate, and that was enough for her at the moment. That, and being saved from the clutches of zombies of all things.

Kaede would listen to Azykia in silence, not in much a mood to interrupt or speak as she tried to get the memories back into the black box before her twisted side showed a smile across her face. It would be one thing to seek forgiveness if you felt bad for the things you did. But Kaede had no such thing in her mind, she simply knew it was wrong but if she was placed in the same situation again she would likely repeat or do it far worse then the first time because deep down that was who she was.

She played the part of a seeking redemption to fight the desire to keep harming people for the fun of it. She had lost a large part of herself during those four years and rather then it get filled with sympathy or sorrow it was filled with the sadistic nature that was always there but never in such a large amount. Had resting over her chest where the black scar across her heart was, the physical mark left from her magic change as far as she could conclude and what kept driving her to desire torment of others.

"I don't mind if you say you forgive me, but don't say I deserve life Kia-chan... Not until I atone or correct the issue..."

That said Kaede would reach for the ball Totetsu had come back with and toss it out again to distract the puppy as she fell backwards in the grass to lay down and watch the sky. Her mind shifting gears to how she might be able to refine or fix the glasses some more. She considered using dark magic but the idea was shot down as it was to full of risk and issues that she refused to see it as a viable option. Rolling around in the grass as she kept trying to think of something to no avail.

"Mhh..." She wanted to disagree again, but of course respectfully repressed it and gave one other polite bow. Not wanting to impose on Kaede's personal ethical compass anymore than she had, she finally took the chance to appreciate the gift that she had received from her. As she stared through the lenses, she turned her head this way and that to take in all of her surroundings... and boy, she almost wished she hadn't.

It wasn't as though there was still a great mess, but just the little nuances of disheveled earth and leftover marks of battle made the phantoms of her phobia that she had previously wished away become so much more real. Azykia couldn't help but to visibly shudder again and looked to Kaede with a mild look of panic in her wide eyes. At least momentarily, but afterwards she turned around and started to try and explore the area around her.

The girl didn't get but several steps away before she tripped and fell onto the ground, though she committed very quickly to sitting up. She put a hand on her head and swayed a bit. "My apologies. I must look so incompetent." She gave a nervous laugh, but it was obvious enough that it kind of hurt. "I should have remembered that suddenly having vision could give me vertigo like that."

Kia almost let out another fake laugh, but instead simply sighed as a layer of her outer emotional shell seemed to crack if only a little. "It... gets more and more difficult to want to log out anymore." She knew that if anyone she had met up until now had the chance to give some serious insight on that notion to her, it would be Kaede-san, by far. "Even though I hear more and more how terrifying this world can be, it doesn't really compare to the horror that awaits me outside of the game."

Kaede would not get up from her laying in the grass until she heard Azykia fall over, such thing making her roll and bolt upward and towards the girl in a slight panic thinking it was something to do with the glasses. Her mind catching the things the girl had said and skipping over the change in tone as all she could do was pull the girl towards her and rest her head atop Azykia's before speaking.

"Every dark cloud has silver lining. Both reality and the game share this. If you don't feel there is enough of a silver lining to the real world this game's dark cloud might just be dependent on if you plan to be a hero on here or not. I know a few players who spent the last four years locked living a normal farmer life away from all the drama of the frontlines like myself this past year or two."

Kaede would move and sit beside Azykia, she did not have the will or power to tell the girl stay or go back. In the end it was her choice, if she stayed Kaede would do what she could to help her here, if she left she was outside Kaede's reach to assist in anything more then hope for the girl or guys safety out there in reality. She could go on and on about the pro and con of this world and what it meant to go back to reality all day and night if she was asked but currently she was not.

"Having the choice to go back and forth is a blessing. If you need peace or respite from one or the other take it... But I don't advise risking one life for the other if that makes sense. You won't know what was good in reality until you lose it... Like for me was Manga and hot showers, or the derpy conversations with my dad and roommate..."

Being held like this by someone a whole age group above her physically caused her to freeze in place for a moment as Kaede's words of wisdom warmed her ears. There was a moment where she nearly lost focus on what was being said as she noticed just how sharp and clear she could hear now with her senses being a bit boosted from not being able to see. That, and how the moment reminded her of the only hugs she had ever received in the outside world.

There was a temporary semi-sharp pain in her eyes for a moment, though for once it was as mundane as could be. Simply her eyes threatening to shed tears much more suddenly than she was used to anymore.

"Not being a hero, huh?..." She repeated as a mutter as she considered that this pretty much described her intentions were she to stay in this world. It only made staying in Terrasphere seem all the more appetizing to her.

Once Kaede sat next to her, Azykia frowned just as she realized exactly how short she was. Otherwise she listened as astutely as ever, though her gaze mostly focused on Kaede's face rather than taking in the beauty of nature around her.

"Is having someone who can log out and deliver a message for you not prudent? If you miss them, that is. I... don't really know what that's like. I'm sorry."

Kaede listened and watched Azykia as they spoke, slightly embarrassed by all the attention for them little sister figure. That said she got the idea the girl was going to do the exact opposite she was advising against and could only wish the girl the best and least death route in her journey to being that hero. Moving to pull her closer to mostly prevent her from keeping focus on her face as she spoke.

"That would have been great five-ish years ago... But they did not hear from me in that long and I asked the people who looked into my death not to poke the wound or spread salt into it. My father likely blames himself for not seeing the signs, and my best friend would likely chose to join the game and die enough to be locked in here with me..."

Kaede adjusted herself so the two could sit a bit more comfy together while also keeping her face away from sight as it seemed to make her nervous. She could only spend the silence thinking of ways to help the girl become a good hero while avoiding deaths as best as possible. The downside what the only idea she could think of was getting the girl's vision refined and then worry about her magic training.

"I miss them, but I also don't want to make them come here to speak with me or torment them with the false idea I'm still here in some sense. The main thing we need to focus on though if you want to be a hero is when and where to draw the lines. So how about we play a little game of hero, reckless, or run?~ I say a situation, and you decide what fits best. Hero, you try to save them. Reckless, you do it despite the risk. Run, avoid a dangerous outcome."

While it wasn't quite the response she had expected, she understood the notion well. Leading people along for nearly anything that wasn't a suspense thriller was usually very dishonest, and in some cases a less blatant display of cruelty. "I see. That's..." She was going to remark how mature the woman's decision was, but she was certain that Kaede already knew that much, and the last thing anyone wanted was to feel patronized by someone so much younger than them that they were being 'mature'. Aside from all the things worse than that, of course.

"I'm not going anywhere, though, so if you need someone to talk to." She forced a smile, or at least she thought she had, but it also felt so genuine. She still wasn't used to having actual emotions and connections with other people, so sometimes it was hard to tell without paying way too much attention to her own moves at every turn.

At Kaede's proposal, she didn't even think to object and clarify the matter of just how little intention she had of being any sort of hero unless she had to. That being said, given the situation that caused the two to meet in the first place, Azykia couldn't help but to feel that this game could be properly insightful for the whole 'unless she had to' line of thinking.

"Hero, Reckless, Run...? If Kaede-san wishes to convey her wisdom to me in such a way, I could only be grateful for that."

Her smile brightened just a bit as she remembered she could actually see the person she was talking to. It was so refreshing to see another person's emotional and physical complex during a conversation. She certainly didn't want this conversation to end anytime soon.

Kaede never had younger siblings, and the only one she knew about had tended to be manga or anime characters and Azykia really seemed like one strait from that fantasy. It only made part of the voices in her head shout this kid was playing her like a fiddle because here she was trying to help so much because she felt she had to not that she wanted to. Waving the thoughts aside as she figured the best way to deal with it was ignore it.

"Ok first situation we will start with something simple. You are out in the woods when you smell blood, hearing a cry from help in the distance you follow it and find a injured hunter half climbed into a tree to get away from some wolves. Do you rush to their aid?"

Kaede would intently leave out parts of information in this first example to see if Azykia would notice. She also was going under the premise Azykia would be able to see or smell these things. The main reason for leaving information out was to see if the girl would make her choice now, or ask for more details before making the choice. This would help Kaede know if she truly was just a want to be hero or someone who would take time to ensure things she did mattered in the long run.

"Second Situation, It's towards the end of a long day, your exhausted and hungry when you overhear a elderly woman calling out into the woods about their grandkids who have not come back yet. If you decide to go assist right away, you spend the better part of the night looking draining yourself more but find them in a goblin camp by morning break. You know goblins to be more nocturnal creatures so there is a chance you could sneak in and rescue them. But one mistake and you could end up fighting the whole camp alone or while trying to protect or ensure the kids escape. Do you be the hero, head back and try to get help... Reckless and try to assist on your own, or run and say there was nothing you could do for them?"

Kaede wasted no time it seemed to pull out the more serious situation, this time including more but not all the facts to either show Azykia there was more to the questions, or that rashly replying right way was unwise. To either case though Kaede would now go silent until she heard from the girl, her face somewhat serious as even if these had been 'situations' in name she herself had dealt with these and had her own view point. So was Azykia the same 'hero' type as her, or did she have the caution Kaede lacked back then to make a hard choice?

Usually people had an apprehension towards asking for specifics when given hypothetical scenarios, discouraged by the years of niche rules and additions of 'common courtesy' such as not being able to wish for more wishes or not using someone's dare to ask them something you could ask had they picked truth. Azykia grew up without friends and common social interactions, so she had never been blighted by anything of the sort. What she was disadvantaged by was a poor understanding of the sort of scenarios Kaede had offered. For starters, she wasn't actually sure which fantasy creature a goblin was. Whatever they were, they were nocturnal though.

"Well, for the second scenario... If there was enough time between then and dawn, wouldn't it be prudent to go run and get help? Even if you're a stealthy sort, that doesn't mean the children will be. They might even be scared of a stranger trying to open their cage in the dark of night. As well, even if you're very powerful, a hostage situation is just as difficult for both the captor and the saviors. Protecting the children would be difficult to do as one person, and if these goblins have them in cages, it's safe to assume they wouldn't have much of an issue just removing them from the situation altogether."

"I think that one is an easy 'Hero', but I'm also plentifully biased. I'm not very powerful, and I can't see." She gasped a bit, then put a loosely curled first to her chin as she stared down in thought. "Although, whoever I were to tell, wouldn't I be putting them in danger as well?" The expression on her face had slowly gone from deep-in-thought to worried at this point. "Even if they brought considerable numbers, wouldn't that make it easy to hear them coming? If there was enough time, though, anyone can be quiet as long as they can move slowly, right?"

The young one shook her head, closing her eyes. It felt strange to watch the world blur as her head turned back and forth once again. It almost had the effect of removing the differentiating factor between her character in the game and herself out in the other world, which made coming to a conclusion much more difficult to come to in either scenario.

"The first scenario... I don't think there's much I could do for someone who was injured and fleeing from wolves, but does a hunter not have the means to defend himself? From what I've seen, bears in this world are practically harmless. Wouldn't the hunter be more dangerous than the wolves?"

Perhaps her line of thinking for that one wasn't what Kaede was expecting, but she had already become indecisive enough to begin making most everything an inquiry at this point.

Kaede could only smile as Azykia seemed to think it over even after giving her replies. That was partly the reason this was a more fun game in Kaede's eyes. What however did make Kaede more curious as to what the girl had been exposed to that she would say wolves or bears had been more a pushover then a lander. Sure some could go toe to toe with players but most had been nothing more then commoners. Much like how some people could lift hundreds on hundreds of pounds but the average could not.

"Getting help on the second situation is what I also view as the best choice. But to think you would not ask what state the kids had been in, also it would not be the dark of night but day time since trying to open the cage while the goblins had been awake and active is a very bad idea... I'd know from experience."

Kaede would move to give Azykia a few pats on the head for the first situation getting the 'right' reply though to be honest any with reason would be the right choice in Kaede's book. The difference was it would help her know more about the aspiring hero. As Kaede's mind traced back to the first situation response she would lightly chop the girl's head before speaking.

"Just because some players and landers can walk around without issue against bears and wolves does not mean everyone can, much less so if injured and on the run like the situation hinted. had you asked I also would point out they did not have any arrows in their quiver or anything more then a hunting dagger... erm slightly shorter then a short sword blade...?"

Kaede tried to explain it a bit better, either way she recalled the girl likely never dealt or saw either before and the explaining was not much help. That all said Kaede's focus would snap around towards Totetsu who was getting into trouble, a light grumble as she moved a hand to the ground and animated one of her undead and waved towards where Totetsu was as the cloaked figure bowed and rushed off in that direction to go get the troublesome hound.

"Also, don't feel bad about putting others at risk if they agree to come help they should be aware the risk. That said though it is assuring to know you care for others in such a way even if only a made up situation...~"

Moving back to patting the girl's head as she closed one eye to allow her to see from the undead she had summoned to figure out what was going on with the hound. She could only sigh seeing Totetsu was 'playing' with a group of goblins, and by that it was more very large hound rushing at them to scare them into running away and chasing after. Every so often a goblin made the mistake to try and attack and would only get evaded or a small cut on the hound that Kaede could heal thanks to the runes linking the two.

"Just keep an Eye on Totetsu for me, if they get more attack happy step in Phantom darling.~"

"Unn...der...sto...ood."

... Eh?
Nocturnal. Means they're awake at night not the day. What an embarrassing mistake! She knew that!
Though Kaede had a very strong point regarding asking about the condition of the children, it would have would have been more viable for somebody else to worry over something like that even in a hypothetical, as the young one felt a stronger different than most between a 'child' and a 'corpse' (as Kaede would very soon see).

Azykia raised a hand to cover her reddening face and turned her head to the right as though trying to hide her humiliation as her head was patted, though her face only reddened more at the sudden scolding chop atop her head. She wanted to just perish right there on the spot, even after the veteran player gave her a compliment in turn. It was almost enough to calm the girl from her imagined spotlight of shame.

It was too bad about that undead, though. Even with its cloaked visage, it seemed to trigger a fit of a totally different sort, which Kaede could both feel from Kia-chan's violent shaking and hear from her stupefied spattering of panic.

"Ha- Ah- W-Wha- N-N-No, nono-!" She whispered sharply. She clutched her head (and Kaede's hand on top of it without really meaning to) and curled on the ground on her knees. With a reaction like this, it was probably a good thing she was blind earlier, or she might not have remained calm enough to survive.

This was probably the most embarrassing thirty seconds of her life.
