Personality
Upon first meeting others, Aiko comes off as a very serious person. No nonsense and a tad bit abrasive, she struggles with making a good first impression. Ultimately, this stems from both her cold objectivity when it comes to working with others, and her fear of becoming vulnerable to others.
However, among those she does cares about, Aiko's more cheerful and childlike demeanor begins to show through. She loves cute things, has numerous stuffed animals, and enjoys sweets. Content with simply spending time with her friends, she will find fun in the most simple things, such as a walk in the park.
Entirely devoted and loyal to the people she loves, she would go to any lengths for them, giving up body and soul if they so asked. Her devotion to these people is ultimately self-destructive, as she puts aside any thought or care of her own well-being to please them, and believes that any downturn in their moods to be her fault, or at the very least, to be within her power to correct. Any failure to do so is seen as a fault on her own part.

Background
Growing up, Aiko lived in a small apartment with her mother and father. Living from paycheck to paycheck, the family often struggled financially, barely keeping their little family owned convenience store afloat. Despite this, Aiko was able to find some measure in happiness in her next store neighbor.
Growing up together, going to the same schools and suffering through similar family situations together had a way of drawing the two children together. The two were hardly seen apart, always attached at the hip, studying and playing together well into the dark hours of the night. When Aiko's father slowly became an alcoholic, it was to this friend that she was able to escape to. In return, Aiko bent over backwards to do whatever her friend asked of her, feeling both indebted and incredibly grateful for their presence.
By the time the two finished middle school, Aiko was in love with her friend, and in the winter of their first year of high school, she confessed her feelings, and was elated to find them returned.
Aiko expressed her affections in droves, her devotion seemingly endless, even as her small acts of love would be brushed off as time went on. Undeterred, and certain that there was no one else in the world for her, Aiko has devoted herself to her other's happiness.
However, by the time the pair entered their third year of high school, Aiko began to worry that they had drifted apart, that her endless love was not, and could never be enough. This fear only drove her to seek out her partner's pleasures with all the more fervor. There was nothing she would not do for them, no matter the cost to herself.
When her love approached her with the idea of playing Terrasphere together, Aiko's heart soared. A chance for them to reconnect, to spend time with each other, and enjoy each other's company, even if it was through the veil of VR. Without hesitation, she booted up the game, and leapt in feet first, as she did in all things with regard to her love. Even if this game was illegal, even if the rumors that circulated around it were true, there was nothing that would stop her from ensuring that her love was returned.
