Eastern Brisshal, the favorite newbie zone. Lucille had thought that she was long beyond it, but as it turned out, there weren't actually all that many popular forests nearby. And what kind of wolf would the girl be if she didn't go hunting for some prey from time to time? However, today seemed to be a somewhat unlucky day. Or her senses were starting to fail her... not that she had them enhanced to begin with. sitting cross-legged atop a rock in the middle of a clearing in the forest, her golden eyes wandered across the scenery, her face resting against the palm of her right hand, elbow anchored near her right knee.

"This is so dumb... no way all of the deers figured out how to avoid me this fast!"

She complained largely to herself. She was the mighty dark wolf of darkness! Power incarnate! Feral calamity! And now she was sitting here, slouched and lazily ogling the woods in front of her as if some prey could wander close enough for her to notice, all because she tried hunting for a few hours and came out empty-handed. But her lonesomeness did not last in this place, rustling sounds heard behind her and prompting her to quickly turn around to see what was approaching her as her ears twitched excitedly.

Norbert hated this forest. It felt endless, and he already had no sense of direction to begin with. He kept wandering away from Honeyhome, only to get lost for hours, and somehow end up back at the village with nothing to show for it. He tried to follow a sign and path once, but that lasted all of about five minutes, with him seeing a small creature run off into the forest and him having this strange instinctive drive to go chasing after it.

Was it because he was a dog man? Did the avatar he chose actually cause these instinctual drives within him? Perhaps he was overthinking it. But if he was, he really couldn't explain why such a self-disciplined man such as himself would feel the sudden need to go running after squirrels of all things.

It was on one of these random chases of a small woodland creature (this time a raccoon) that he found himself barrelling after the small masked creature on all fours, growling and yelling at the thing to, "Get back here!"

In all honesty, he had no clue what he would do if he caught it. He wasn't sure why he wanted it. Would he eat it? Did he want to keep it as a pet? Somehow, with his beastly instincts, he figured it would be the former. But the human side of him wanted the latter. How cute would a pet raccoon be? These thoughts floated around somewhere in Norbert's brain as he chased the creature into a nearby bush, lost in the sauce as it were.

He ended up bursting out the other side into a clearing, snarling, growling, on all fours turning this way and that to find the creature that was now nowhere to be seen. Boy, what a sight he must have looked to the woman sitting on a nearby rock, his red eyes glowing with a light flame of determination to catch this damned creature. He didn't even see her, focused as he was on his supposed prize.

Sure enough, a moment of patience had paid off. Remaining still, completely unmoving, it would be the wolf man who'd suddenly emerge from the foliage with the sound of leaves and sticks tearing, wood bending and breaking under the weight of his feet and hands. Her golden eyes quickly rested on his dark body, a smirk growing wide across her face. She had most certainly never seen one such as him, that was for sure. And here she almost thought she was the only wild black wolf to be seen in all of TerraSphere! Oh how thankful she was that she was wrong!

"Ooh? That posture, that look... that aura! Are you here to challenge me?! Haha, I will have you know that I am the mighty wolf of Darkness! Are you sure you want to fight such an opponent?!"

Getting on all four from her sitting position, she tried to appear as feral as she could, almost even growling along with her words as she stared at the wolf-man. The way he presented himself, it certainly did seem like he was eager for a fight.
