Tae Blades

Tae Blades is the ultimate battle top game that is taking the Terrabattle League by storm!

Assemble your TaeBae and prove your will in contests of dumb luck and debatable tactics.

How to Play:

Setting up your TaeBae

-Tae Blades have 5 Letter-Sides represented by 5 Number-Lines.

-By rapidly spinning, these number-lines will come into contact with your opponent’s in a psychic revolution of wills.

-Each TaeBae has 15 HP to clash with. Anymore and the universe would be destroyed.

To load your number-lines, players will roll

?r 5d4 #TaeBaeSetup | TaeBae | Speen

Five times assigning each set of rolls a letter, like so:

A1:

5d4 (4 + 5 + 2 + 4) | TaeBae | Speen

4>5>2>4>

B2:

C3:

D4:

E5:

Order the numbers of your TaeBae like above forming each side.

These are the values that will clash, starting outward and moving in.

Clashes

TaeBaes Terrabattle through their clashing rotations. Here's how it works:

-Clashes happen in cycles until a winner is determined.

-A winner is determined when only 1 Taebae has HP remaining.

Each cycle, players roll:

?r 1d5 #TaeBae | TaeBaeName | Speen

To determine which side their TaeBae is striking with. (1 = A1, and so on…)

Then, the outer-most number of each TaeBae from the rolled sides are compared, and…

-The higher value will win the clash, and the lower value will be subtracted from it.

-Whatever number remains is the damage the Clash Winner will deal to its Opponent’s TaeBae HP.

-If the compared numbers are ever a tie, both TaeBaes will take the damage.

-After the numbers have been used in a clash, they are removed revealing new outer-numbers for each side.

Clash Cycle Example:

Roll Result 1d4 (2) = 2 TaeBae | Hero’s TaeBae | Speen

Hero’s TaeBae B2

4>5>2>4>

***

Roll Result 1d5 (3) = 3 TaeBae | DeviTopia’s Cooler TaeBae | Speen

DeviTopia’s Cooler TaeBae C3

5>5>5>5>

As we can see here Hero and DeviTopia’s TaeBaes have clashed. Hero’s has landed on his B2 side and DeviTopia’s has landed on her C3 side.

So, what remains is to compare the outer-numbers of each. Hero has 4. DeviTopia has 5. If my math teachers weren’t lying to me, then 5 should win out, and DeviTopia will win the clash.

However, 5 - 4 = 1, So DeviTopia’s TaeBae still only managed to deal 1 damage to Hero’s. (Tch~!)

Now that these outer-numbers have been used, they are both removed. The next time Hero’s TaeBae lands on B2, it’ll be attacking with a 2. DeviTopia’s C3 will move on to its next 5.

====
In the rare event that a Tae runs out of numbers on one of its Sides, treat that side as always having a 1.

Now that the clash is over, both TaeBae’s outer-numbers are removed from the rolled side, and the process repeats until there is a winner!

As a reminder, each TaeBae has 15 HP.

The Secrets of TaeBaes

TaeBaes are not just battle tops. Well, they are, but they are also Terrabattle Tools for deciding the outcomes Terrabattles. This is important. Because of this, TaeBaes have secret natures.

When setting up your TaeBae you may choose one nature which will determine its special abilities in TaeBae Terrabattles.

Choose 1 Nature!

Gutsy.
Your TaeBae treats its 1’s as 5’s.
When this happens, your TaeBae receives full damage from a clash no matter what.

Tactical. If your TaeBae’s innermost value is higher, use and lose that number instead.

Determined. If a clash is a tie, treat your value as 2 higher, winning it.

Hates 3’s. Your 3’s are treated as 4’s. Your opponent’s 3’s are treated as 2’s.

Chaotic. Replace one of your TaeBae sides with 1’s and another of its TaeBae sides with 5’s.

Orderly. +1 to your TaeBae’s 1’s and 5’s. They are now 2’s and 6’s, respectively.
