Sean had contracted a small cold from the snowball fight, so he had taken a bit to recover. He had decided to relax for the rest of the journey, as too much stress is never good for the body.

However, when a commotion started, Sean couldn't help but make sure everything was okay. What he saw instead was... What IS that!? The warrior could only keep his eyes focused on... Zeus. Sensing something terrible was about to happen...

"Zeus?"

Sean rushed for Zeus, reaching out for him...

"ZEEEEEEEUUUUUUUS!"

...And then there was only white.

...Zeus? ZEUS, ARE YOU OKAY? COME ON, SAY SOMETHING! ANYTHING! I CAN'T LOSE YOU, TOO! PLEASE!

Ayna was in a much better mood, especially after @Kamala Graham joined her with the snowman-building activity that was more of a therapy session than anything else really. Joining back up with the others, she truly felt like things were calming down. At least for her, it felt like it. Maybe she'll even find the spirit of the season within her and she'd finally have fun. She heaved a sigh, aboard the train, in an attempt to release the bitterness she felt from losing a child's game. All smooth sailing from here on in. Yep. Smooth sailing. Nothing else is going to go wrong. Not a damn else.

She thought wrong.

"What the hell is that? Kamala? You okay? Stay close and hold my hand!"

The blizzard was intense, and Ayna wasn't the most perceptive of individuals. She was pretty agile, though, but she wasn't that confident she'd be agile enough to save herself and her friend from whatever was going on. She knew something was up. The intensity of the blizzard, some folks yelling... It didn't take a rocket scientist, or in this case, a magia technologist to figure out something was amiss. Something that, perhaps, could even spell their doom.

Ayna tried her best to reach out for Kamala, to hold her close, and keep her safe, as her friend always did with her during the many battles and adventures they'd had. But she didn't have @Chrys massive frame to shield her through and through. She didn't have Kamala's proficiency in healing, too, which would be useful in worst-case scenarios such as this one. As Ayna tried her best to think through the many possibilities, the many contingencies, she could, she clenched her jaw and tightened her hold on whatever she could reach, defying the threads of fate for perhaps the last time.

"SON OF A—"

And then she was gone.

Bonegrave, ???, Zalrea

She had remained apprehensive regarding the overall group decision as they were all called back towards the sleigh-train, the girl’s face akin to an open book as it displayed the concern she felt. Crimson eyes glanced over to the blue-haired man who had also expressed similar worries, a faint smile accompanied by a soft shrug given to @Erick before the elf clambered aboard and took her seat beside @Yugam.

The boisterous words of Zeus reached far and wide for most of them to hear, and while Lúthien knew very little of the seasoned elder of the League his words were still inspiring. Yeah, we’re probably just overthinking it… things will be fine. Perhaps it was his seemingly endless energy that brought comfort, or the kind smile the older man always seemed to sport on his face—one that resurfaced old memories of happier times in the snow back in the real world for the ranger.

"Ready? 3. 2. 1. TOH TOH TOH!"
"TOH TOH TOH!"

Her voice quickly joined the cries of others as the sleigh-train ventured forth, a light-hearted laughter escaping the girl shortly after as her gaze shifted over to the hunter. "Seems we’ll be some of the first to lay eyes on the Bonegrave~" Her hand instinctively sought out his own, interlacing their fingers loosely before she gave it a gentle squeeze… the touch both grounding and reassuring as the group headed off to the unknown.

Lúthien gazed out with awe and wonder at the jagged crystalline spires that stretched out towards the turbulent clouds above, before a concerned look was given at some of the massive bones entrapped in crystals from great beasts that had once walked these lands. "I hope none of those still remain…" It wasn’t often that she was reminded of just how tiny and insignificant they all were in the grand scheme of things… but this place was doing a good job at driving that thought home.

"Hood up and brace yourself! TOH TOH TOH!"

Her hands quickly reached for the hood of her coat as Childress' warning fell upon them, another shiver crossing the ranger as the blizzard picked up in speed and intensity. "TOH TOH T—OAH!" She’d attempted to chorus along with the others as they had for the past few days when a sharp turn from the sleigh caused the blonde to squeak out, reaching for the side of her seat as she tried to fight the laws of physics and motion. Elven ears caught the faintest of sounds far into the distance, causing Lúthien to frown as her eyes strained them to get a better view within the blizzard…

Everything was a blur of snow and sounds after that, the cacophony of warnings and cries mingling with the sound of something massive moving through the snowy landscape and in their direction. The mix confused the ranger as it assaulted her senses, hands moving to try and block most of the noise from her ears, before her eyes fell on the massive form of Zeus as the man seemingly pulled something out of his coat. A blinding light began shrouding everyone present, causing Lúthien to squint as her hand reached towards the hunter—panic evident in her voice as she called out his name.

"YU—?!"

And then she was gone, blinked away to unknown lands shortly before the sleight train was crushed into smithereens.

After shaking all the snow off of his massive body, Chrys heeded Zeus' call and returned to the sleigh train. He had a nice time with the snow, and he even had a nicer time with his sleep. Once more, he tried to return to the land of slumber to party with Jason Momoa doing his best impression of an excited old man that wasn't scary and could not easily rip him in half if he so much as makes fun of his gorgeous hair. With a smile on his face, Chrys slowly closed his eyes, preparing to slide back into unconsciousness. Alas, it was not meant to be.

"Hmm? It's probably nothing."

Chrys tried his best to dissuade @Ayna Nietzsche's fears and in a way comfort @Kamala Graham. It was his best impression of that guy in horror movies that downplayed every obviously scary thing until he died, only Chrys isn't going to die. He'll die at a pace similar with everyone else but certainly not right then and there. They were in some snowy country, with two guild leaders, leaders of men and women, at the helm. It was the most secure travel ever.

"Just hold on and brace yourselves. Everything's fine. What could go wrong? It's not like we'll get"

And then HE, the most important character in this story, was suddenly gone.

Things were getting out of hand, it seemed. When Kamala heard the White Whistle scream, or was it someone else?, the paranoia within her immediately rose to a fever pitch. She could feel the heat of the buzzing wings underneath her skin erupt. At first, she was just worried about whatever it was out there that came down upon them. Then @Ayna Nietzsche poofed out of existence!

"AYNA!"

Followed by @Chrys who was mumbling empty concessions. Kamala understood what he was trying to do, and would have even done it herself, but things were happening too fast for her to react to, and when he disappeared, she was left with nothing else to do but scream his name in helplessness! Despite all her hard work to better her healing and support skills, it seemed some things were just out of her hand. That didn't seem fair to her, but life never was. Not everything will ever be.

"CHRYS!"

Almost at the same time, she caught a glimpse of another person disappearing, though she wasn't quite able to catch their face or remember their name.

"SOME RANDOM GUY!"

Kamala reached out for them, all of them, but of course, she was unable to keep any of them with her. In the last moments of what she could remember, if she was even remembering things clearly, the sickening light of pure white swallowed her, too, and then everything disappeared. Or was it just her? And was that light even truly white? Find out next week on Terrasphere!

He'd been dozing when the shouting started, followed by the sound of hoofbeats above the howling blizzard. Ash's eyes snapped open as he sat up and shook his head, glancing at the others in the sleigh. There was a commotion going on. "Huh...?"

He pricked his ears at the sound of hoofbeats, something that @Luthien seemed to be hearing as well. "Do you hear that too, Luth-"

And that was the last thing Ash remembered as the world erupted into confusion and the world went white.

With their path decided, everyone slowly resumed their seats. Luth and Yugam found theirs together and seated themselves besides each other before the group of couriers began to move once more, into the unknown.

Whereas others chanted along with the drivers, Yugam's eyes were fixed outside. It was all well and good for the others to have fun, but knowing that danger was a very real possibility, the man couldn't help but keep an eye on what was going on outside.

"Seems we'll be some of the first to lay eyes on the Bonegrave~" Luthien said, slipping her fingers between his. "Yeah, seems like it," the man replied without looking back. "If its not a literal graveyard made out of giant skeletons or something, I'll be disappointed," he added with a hint of humor in his voice.

"Well, whatdya know..." the man said as the Bone Grave came into view with it's massive calcified remains.
"I hope none of those still remain…"
"I dunno,"
Yugam replied, looking over at Luthien. "Could be fun to learn about a new cult-"

"Hood up and brace yourself! TOH TOH TOH!"
"What's going on?"
Yugam didn't like the sound of that.
"I don't know," Unmei said, who'd long since decided to lounge about in her human-form. The spirit stood and tried to peer ahead of them.

The man slammed into the side wall as the sleigh took a sharp turn, knocking his head against the hard wood. "Shit!" Unmei shouted as inertia began to take over and sent her lurching into a seat and then onto the floor. "Luth!" the man shouted towards the elf, barely clinging on to the seats. He reached out towards her outstretched hand, their fingers brushing against each other's as they tried to grab onto each other.

A blinding flash of light, and then they were all gone.
