Disclaimer: These events were taking place between the Zeusterday Express between Little Doggo and Omega

Time was a fickle concept. Normally moving at the speed of one second per second, yet other times it seemed like those events of the past were as fresh as if they just happened today. But that was, obviously, all just rhetorical nonsense!

"Time is like water! Is what Omega is saying." Omega gave @Little Doggo an understanding nod. "As the HERO of the story, time is on YOUR side." She repeated her earlier lecture. "The Final Boss waits and waits and waits. But what if, WHAT IF, Omega would break that norm? Why?, she hears you asking. Well because Omega's going to places no Final Boss has gone to before! Thus, you're so used to water I mean time that, once Omega decides to make her move, you'll be thirsty before you know it!" ... What?

"Makes sense, yes?" Of course. "..." Or maybe it did not. Gosh, that's what Omega was getting for trying to sound smart like an adult! Good thing she was still only a child. "So what Omega is saying, she isn't going to wait for your heroic training montage and quest all her lifetime! If you're too slow, Omega's gonna come out ahead and our glorious FINAL BATTLE will be a lame one-sided massacre. Boo!" Yeah, that sounded a lot simpler.

In fact, ever since Omega had clearly won their small snowball battle, she had seen Little Doggo's potential. Just as she was looking for recruits to join her Magia Legion (unbeknownst to her that becoming Magia was soon just a cliche), Omega was also making sure to nourish potential rivals. And Little Doggo just happened to be one of them.

"So first things first, we have to figure out your class, your CONVICTION, and your MORALES. And Omega, in her INFINITE WISDOM OF TROPES, has consented to teach you THE WAY. So, what do you say, Little Doggo?" Of course, for her plan to work out, it'd take two.

Disclaimer: Little Doggo accepted the terms of conditions for the events taking place between the Zeusterday Express between Omega and Little Doggo.

Yup! I'm the hero, I control water, so I control time too!

LITTLE DOGGO paused, yelping once it turned out that Omega was still talking. Of course, conversations don't freeze for long enough to answer like that. So instead she just sat down, legs stretched infront of her as her hands went behind her back, one open palm against the snow.

'Wait, how did she know...' Spare Omega the surprise on her face once pointed out, her frienemy knew exactly what question rounded her thoughts, as if a master of astramancy she were...

Makes sense, yes?

Wait wait, you gonna steal the water from the entire world so I can't drink?! Or just-

Realization hit her like a piano over her head

Ooooh, okay okay I think I got it.

Flow like water, time is important, Doggo nodded twice. Once for a 'yes', twice to resume their villanious thesis. It all started to piece together once the final boss-ess made mention of a boring, one sided final fight should they encounter while unprepared, something the beastfolk could agree with!

Hey hey I got all that now that you used easy words, but what about our snow fight? I clearly won that one even if I'm unprepared, I just didn't got time to attack you again to finish you off!

She huffed and puffed. The memories were fuzzy even now about the events. A giant ice doggo, a massive avalanche, drones, a lot of things were going on. But she couldn't deny that, despite this being her nemesis talking, Omega Redux knew exactly what kind of words and tone to pick to hype anyone up, including herself.

Unfortunately she missed like half of that when she started to use adult words again and fell asleep with her eyes half open.

Gweeeeeh...

HUH?! Yeah! Tropes! Doggo is the hero trope, where do we start, Ome- I mean, Final Boss Omega Redux?

Doggo snapped out of it, if only to push herself back up to her feet. In her momentary weakness exposing the hand behind her back, giving away that her class is clearly 'backstabber' given the snowball that lies on her grasp, a perfect spherical weapon of white death to strike at her nemesis's face when she least expected it.

Come on, I'm ready..! What's a trope though? Is it like character traits?

@Little Doggo
What are tropes?

Little Doggo asked. What ARE tropes? That was, truly, indeed, a good question. A buzzword Omega had used since the day she spoke her first words: Dungeons and Space Shuttles. Which were technically more than one word, but it just went to show how much of an intellectual she truly was!

"I-" She dared to break character there for just a second. "Omega..." Pondering upon Lil Doggo's question. "First off! Omega clearly won the Snowball Fight! Your attack did not even HIT her!... She thinks." It was all a bit fuzzy. Having bought herself some time she finally explained.

"A trope is a word, or few words, to explain things that would otherwise take one too long to explain! There are millions of them, and you can describe any things that repeat have a repeating pattern! For example, The Hero versus The Villain? The Good Guys vs The Bad Guy? Most of the time, that's called white versus black morals!" Was that still allowed to be color-coded like that in 203X?

"Or have you..." Now it was time to be SUPER DUPER SMART... though Omega tried to talk even more simply than usual. "...ever heard of the hero's journey?! It's a way of storytelling that has proven times and times again to capture the heart of the audience as the hero, that is you, goes on a grand quest to slay the bad guy! Omega." Omega gave Lil Doggo a nod. "Granted, Omega isn't just about good versus evil. Omega believes, if she becomes the Final Boss and has conquered the world, everybody will have better lives!" And those that did not agree with her would get bullied out of the game! Harhar.

"For example, if Omega is in charge, pizza deliveries will be free for all! And everyone will live in space! Though Omega digresses. Ahem. Thinking of a trope like a trait is very accurate, too! Not that Omega knows all of them, but even for the hero trope, there are a lot of different heroes! And a trope can be made up of multiple other tropes too! It's like a shiny tree full of stereotypes!" There she went, using some big words again.

"Do you understand...?"

The greatest most evil grin ever known to dog beastfolks surfaced from Doggo's lips just as she heard Omega go back to first person, if even for a moment. A victory, if only brief, before Omega would speak preposterous things all over again!

Of course you ain't sure because you got hit so hard I knocked the lights out of you... I think.

Everything was fuzzy in her head too, but Omega didn't need to hear about that, not when it could be used against her!

So basically, we are walking tropes! Because you are the bad guy and I'm the good guy.

That's what she could get at first from what Omega tried to explain, yet LIL' DOGGO'S ears dropped against her head at that moment, her smile turning upside down for that moment the words 'good' and 'bad' finally clicked in her head.

You okay with being the bad guy? I don't want you to lose and be sad, you are cool...

Without knowing it, Doggo just called Omega an OMEGA LOSER, via already assuming her victory was imminent, unstoppable even for the final boss herself. But at the same time, even that was countered, Ultra Countered even, given how Omega explained her true motivations in the middle of her explanation of what the Hero's Journey was, earning a tilted look out of Doggo, who sat down and crossed her legs in the most pensive look she could muster.

Hey hey now you never said anything about free pizza before?! Can I join your side?

Oh wait I can't, I'm the hero. Makes sense.

LIL' DOGGO huffed, scratching her head as she tried to wrap around the whole concept of traits, and heroes and bad guys and trees.

"Do you understand...?"

...Nope.

Okay wait, I got an idea. What about you tell me about YOUR tropes and shiny trees and I try to work on mine that way? Like, I think If Doggo had a trope, it would be... Hero, and small, and that one trope about characters that get underestimated for being small and looking weak. Alright, tell me your tropes, boss!

And that I like to eat a lot. Food is nice, yeshhh.

"...Nope."

Little Doggo told her. Great! But, being an adorable airhead was just another one of countless tropes. This, clearly, wouldn't go anywhere. And Omega was sort of about to move on. Sure, the red-hair knew how to behave like a responsible adult and speak of theories and planning things (After all, Space Whales & Space Shuttles was a serious game!), but maybe just doing it would work better for the two of them.

"Omega's tropes?!" But Lil Doggo wanted to know more. "Well, well, well! Omega is super duper special! In fact, who says she has to lose the final battle?! Thanks to free pizza you may even defect to the Omega side! But only after ensuring a moral dilemma of course. BUT okay-dokey! Here are some of Omega's tropes then." She cleared her throat, adjusted her posture, and spoke:

"Plucky Comic Relief: Omega is silly and adorable, providing comedy to our story! Small name, big ego: Despite Omega's size, she is super duper special and loud. Third-Person Person: Omega speaks of Omega in third person! Breaking the Fourth Wall: Omega is aware that this is all a game, and she's playing right into it! Roleplaying is serious business, duh! Genry Savvy: Omega likes to make fun of other people adhering to common stereotypes and tropes!" She gave a strong nod, unaware that that didn't quite meant what she meant. "Imagine, just for a second, if another Magia Final Boss were to pop up! Omega would do all in her power to make it known how she is inferior in all ways and forms." Not like that would ever happen, yes?

"Big Bad Wannabe: Omega aspires to be the Final Boss of the story, hoping for an epic battle!" 'Wannabe'... wait, did she just diss herself?! TROPES WERE STUPID, hmpf. "Large Ham: Omega loves for things to be Omega-Spicy! And, lastly, Mentor: Omega teaching you how to be a proper hero! But those are just a few of MANY tropes making up the one and only, awesome, Omega." With that, she took a deep breath of hair.

Yeah... that was VERY theoretical. Too much even for her taste! Was this what it meant to be a parent? Omega would never get children again, one Lil Doggo was enough.

"... Did that help?" Probably not? "Omega thinks as long as you do your best, you will do great regardless..."

Omega's tropes?!

Omega's tropes!

Doggo replied, a bit fascinated with how shocked the final boss teacher was. The topic is tropes, and of course, Omega's tropes would be the best example out there, isn't it? But of course she had to mention their final battle plus pizza, and both combined started to illuminate the lightbulb atop Doggo's head, if this was a cartoon world that is. Instead, her ears perking up fit that quota.

Who says we need a moral dilemma? That's some basic villain stuff. Maybe I help you defeat another villain and we eat free pizza together and then have a final fight afterwards

So many ways to go over a story, and none had to be some cliche moral problematic, as if suddently Omega's sad backstory was revealed and that made the Hero/es hesitate and question over how okay it is to keep wacking her over trying to eat free pizza with her.

DOGGO begun to take notes, hurriedly pulling out her diary out of her inventory to get to write down each of Omega's Tropes, or at the VERY least a very rough draft of each, such as 'Third-Person Person: Omega doesn't use 'I' ever!'

At least until Omega begun to call herself a wannabe, and a delayed reaction made a chuckle escape out of DOGGO's lips as she caught up to it.

Pfft. Wannabe?! That just means Omega ain't yet the final boss, gotta train to reach that point!

But soon it dawned to her... Oh no.

I'm a wannabe hero...

Her voice almost broke to realization. If Omega is a WANNABE villain, that means she is a WANNABE hero, it all adds up. It didn't take long for her attitude to change though, once Omega kept bringing up food of all things to her tropes. Granted, that's just exactly what a villain would do and that's why Omega was so good at villaining: Doggo's weakness to food was being exploited.

OI! What's with your tropes having food too and why isn't pizza one of them?

After trying pizza in real life for the first time, she was certain no one could hate it, and even the bad guy gave free pizza away, so it all makes sense: the true unifier of people who customize their circle full of mozzarella.

But that does help a lot!

But I won't tell you my tropes just yet because else It would be like giving away my weaknesses. Like how you say you are super loud but also super small. That's clearly a weakness over there.

A sagely nod made her seem smarter than she thought, eyes closed for extra nerd factor as if she didn't need to confirm Omega's reaction.

Alright what's the next step boss! Are you gonna teach me how to beat up stuff harder? Or give me some legendary cool weapon to fight you with? Can I call it the Excalibrrt?

The little puppers sure had much to say about the wisdom that Omega imparted on her. In fact, she was listening with enough attention to even catch Omega calling herself a wannabe! "Mhmhm, of course! Let it be known to all, Omega's wisdom is as deep as the depths of her future shark tank back in her super secret villain lair." Crossing her arms, the fancy-hair was quite pleased with this exchange, though her eyes pierced @Little Doggo like a hawk as she mentioned keeping her own tropes a secret.

A wide grin forming on her face that had 'smug' all written. "Tzktzktzk..." She shook her head with supreme confidence. "Little, little, doggy..." What would one nickname 'Little Doggo' even? Dog? Doggy? Puppers? "Omega Redux, already know your biggest weakness..." A dramatic pause followed. "And. That. Is." More pause first, if her grin was to grow any wider she'd be called Joker Redux.

"... Food." Omega finally revealed, flat. BOOM!

"BUT!" She now lifted a finger up in the air. "That is a moral dilemma of the hero! Omega's not going after an entire script. Sooooo, if after our Final Battle, you turn to the dark side - or vice-versa, that can be Omega okay too! Granted, only the bravest souls could withstand the temptation of delicious fast food and sweets brought to you by yours, truly..." That's how the adults said it, right? Snapping with the very finger that was in the air, Omega suddenly summoned something from her infinite arsenal of strangeness. Being equipped with the best roleplaying masteries truly had its advantages.

Omega had summoned an object.
Small enough to fit into one's hand, big enough to count as a trinket.
The strongest, and most stable form.
Triangular. Four sides.
Perfect geometry.
It was a pyramid.
It was a pizza.
It was a crystal.
It was a...

odhvZAe.png

"BEHOLD! A Ultimate Weapon...." Omega presented to Little Doggo, free to grab. The Pyramid was made of a shiny, solid crystal, yet the inside revealed the texture and toppings of pizza. Depending on the light, and at which angle, these changed. A powerful, magical foci indeed?

All the Doggo had to do, was take it.

"...I heard sharks can swim in real shallow waters."

She blurped out of curiosity rather than to insult the greatness of Omega's wisdom, yet hindsight made her yelp in realiztion as a bit of both were involved in her question, and she would have apologized... Would, if it were not for the sharpness within Hawk Redux's eyes, and the cheshire grin on her face.

Doggo squinted a little until her eyes were like horizontal lines, one step backwards to enter a defensive stance and Omega begun to elaborate on a doggo's core weakness, growing all the more curious as to what exactly it could be. Her heart didn't feel like slowing down any time soon as the suspense begun to reach it's crescendo and-

"... Food."

"You wouldn't dare!"

A finger pointed like a blade straight back to Omega. Just what did this robbo had in mind? All that non-sense about turning to the dark side almost made her wish to laugh, but instead a condescending smile formed all over her features.

"You don't honestly believe -I-, The LITTLE DOGGO, would fall for your cheap fast food, right?"

She proclaimed, ever so smug until a little trinket formed onto Omega's hand. One that she couldn't quite discern at first glance given the glassy exterior, and only until she leaned in at the proclaimed 'Ultimate Weapon' did her jaw drop at the sight of this pizzacrystalpyramidtower of impossible geometr-

"Gimme!"

She wouldn't hesitate, her hands wrapping over this offering as she instantly begun to twist and turn in search of some kind of means to open it, her groans and frustrations growing with every turn and switch on her grip done for the sake of the cheesy delicacy hidden within, but like a treasure chest or door that requires a key, there were no powers in this world that could open the mozzarella container.

So she turned back to the one who could possibly know this contraption and it's intricacies, wagging her tail as she offered the triangular object back to Omega.

"Can you open it? We can share it together and eat it, half-half for each."

Because what was a villain if not a buddy to share fast food with..?
