A TASTE OF CHRISTMAS
Coquito Culinary Workshop

Open To Anyone & Everyone Else That's Interested!

The elf was unable to contain the excitement bubbling within her this morning, a wide grin on her lips even as she went about the lobby of the ❰ Embertorch ❱ to make sure everything was in place and ready. Flyers of today’s culinary activity had been shared a week prior, a vast majority put up by yours truly after she’d gotten permission and—more importantly—a date for this workshop to take place. "Oh gods, this is actually happening…!" Hands rose to her cheeks as she pressed them, trying to keep her already large smile from growing more, as the ranger looked over to her boyfriend and helper for the day.

She was nervous too, no doubt about it, especially considering how interested Zeus and Childress had been on the end product that would be yielded from today’s event—but for the first time in a while Lúthien had honestly felt very excited to share a seasonal drink from her little home island with her friends and other players & landers alike. "Let’s see… the milk jugs are all over there and the sugar sacks are over here… the coconuts are here and—oh, wow, the League sure sterilized a looot of bottles for today." Additional checks were done in other parts, but for the time being those three ingredients would be the main focus as the participants would work on combining them into three very necessary ingredients for today’s drinks: evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk and, of course, cream of coconut!

Once pleased with the preparations the blonde’s hand fluttered through the air, interacting with her UI before she sent out a voicemail for anyone that had signed up beforehand for the event.

HANDS-ON APPROACH

All necessary ingredients have been outsourced and provided by the League, there's more than enough to go around and the group is expected to make more bottles than just the ones they'll be keeping for themselves. Thanks to @Kirius and the crew that headed to the ❰ Druuk Islands ❱ for bringing back more than enough coconuts on short notice!

The instructions below would've been shared by Lúthien to those available, and if you have any ICly questions feel free to ask the girl—she'll do the best to answer them (within her ability and knowledge).

Additionally if you can think of a creative way to apply a mastery to your roll do let me know OOCly, depending on the approach it could give an advantage, or perhaps additional modifiers to your result. Feel free to tag me on Discord with your questions, promise that I don't bite~ uwu

EVAPORATED MILK
❰ Recipe Description ❱
Instructions:

For every 250mL of ❰ evaporated milk ❱ being made you will need 562.5mL of milk.

Carefully begin to heat the milk in a pot over a medium flame, once it begins to simmer keep it over a medium-low flame. Make sure that you're stirring the contents occasionally, especially in the later stages, since we want to avoid any scorching or unwanted flavors.

Once reduced enough, you'll be able to tell by the creamy color and thicker consistency, pass it through a sieve as its being poured into a separate container. Set aside to cool completely.

❰ 000/150 ❱

CONDENSED MILK
❰ Recipe Description ❱
Instructions:

For every 250mL of ❰ condensed milk ❱ being made you will need 500mL of milk and 166.7g of sugar.

Add the milk and sugar into a pot and heat over a low flame until all the sugar has dissolved, stirring occasionally. Once the mixture has combined simmer it over a medium-low flame. Do NOT stir once the mix starts to simmer otherwise it can crack and crystalize.

Gently simmer for roughly 30 to 45 minutes or until the milk has darkened to a creamy color, has reduced by half and thickened slightly. If any foam begins to form on the top gently skim it off with a spoon. If there are any sugary bits hanging around the rim of your pot do not stir them into your condensed milk, as this can also crack the mix.

Once ready removed from the heat and pour into a jar to cool.

❰ 000/250 ❱

CREAM OF COCONUT
❰ Recipe Description ❱
Instructions:

For every 250mL of ❰ cream of coconut ❱ being made you will need 437.5mL of coconut milk, 187.5g of sugar and a pinch of salt.

First we'll start by making coconut milk from the fresh coconuts! Drain the coconut water by poking holes through the 'eyes' and into a glass. Make sure that the liquid inside hasn't gone bad—it should smell sweet without smelling sour. Reserve all of the good coconut water in a jar.

Preheat your oven to 200° C. Place the coconuts on a tray and bake for 20 minutes or until the outer shell begins to crack. Remove and let them cool. Wrap the coconut in a towel and hit it with a hammer, or use the back of a cleaver across the 'equator' of the coconut, to split them open.
Remove the coconut meat, it should separate from the shell easily, and peel away the thin brown skin as much as possible. Cut the flesh into small pieces and add to a large mortar, grind the flesh away with the pestle until it's a pulp.

In a separate pot heat up the reserved coconut water until it's simmering but not boiling. Combine the hot coconut water and coconut pulp in a large container and allow to sit until it's cooled down enough to handle. Carefully pour the mixture into a sieve lined with a towel (set over a large bowl) and tightly squeeze to separate all the liquids from the solids.

Additional instructions will be provided once all the required coconut milk is made by the group.

"Oh gods, this is actually happening…!"
"Relax a little or you're gonna explode outta sheer excitement,"
the man said with a humorous smile. A heavy thud, followed by a clatter echoed through the room as Yugam set down yet another massive bag of coconuts on the ground with enough force to make the bottle jump on the tables. "Jesus, think we got enough ingredients for everyone?" One thing could be said for certain, the League definitely didn't half-ass anything.

Soon enough, people began to arrive, and after getting somewhat better situated, they began to work on making the first batch of the alcohol. "Alright, so, uh, babe, is there any chance whatsoever that there's a version of this that won't kill me?" the man asked as he stirred the pot of milk, careful to not let the milk burn. He'd never had this 'coquito' before, or even heard of it before meeting Val, but in all the excitement of planning and getting ready, the man hadn't really considered the immense amount of dairy involved in making everything. Looking at everything now made the man nervous to try it.

Let's see… the milk jugs are all over there and the sugar sacks are over here… the coconuts are here and—oh, wow, the League sure sterilized a looot of bottles for today.

She knew nothing about traditional holiday drinks from other cultures, but when Luthien invited her to a get together, Vash knew she just had to go. Things in Terrasphere tended to get a little crazy, so for something chill to happen and for people to slow down and just spend time with friends? Yaaaas, girl.

Vashti was ready for it, too. A veritable girls night, with drinks and candies and food and gossip- the kind of thing she hadn't been to in so long that she almost forgot what it felt like. Yeah, she really, really needed this. She needed it-

"YOU!" the man's presence was so sudden and unexpected that Vash dropped everything she was holding and pointed at him accusingly. She didn't know his name, or who he was, or why he was here- but what she did know was that she couldn't possibly forget his face. How he'd acted when she saved his ass, killing the bandit that was headed straight for him.

Rather, that was what she saw. He claimed he didn't need her help, and he called her a kill-stealer. What an ungrateful lout he was, and he was here, imposing on sweet Luthien's Christmas Party. The nerve of some people!

Vashti cleared her throat and turned up her nose as she made her way over to Luthien and smiled at the woman. "Girl, it has been way, way too long. Sorry I haven't been too terribly in touch... I had some things in real life that kind of, you know how it is..."

She was genuinely apologetic, stammering a bit as she looked at the floor. She didn't have a good excuse for not even managing to send a message, but she knew in her heart that the Elven woman would understand. What she couldn't understand was...

"So, what is that doing here?" she asked in a quiet voice, indicating Yugam with a quick sideways glance. "I only met him once but he was quite rude. I hope he's not bothering you or forcing you to let him party with us against your will. Just say the word. I'll toss him out faster than you can yell toxic masculinity."

She smiled at Luthien, managing to appear as though nothing at all was amiss.

Vash glanced at the recipe and clapped her hands together excitedly in the next heartbeat.
"Oh, this looks fun," she said as she hustled about the room grabbing the necessities and working to combine them in the exact portions as they were listed.

Sorry I'm late dearie~ I'm afraid I got a little lost~ @Luthien

Cynna arrived, poking her head in---twitching ears first----while still looking a little lost. This time she wasn't a present but an honest to goodness foxgirl.

My~ so many ingredients~ I can't help but feel excited~ Thank you for having me~ hm hm~ and to think we were on rival teams~ you really are kind~♥

Cynna smiled before tilting her head as she saw... him... (@Yugam)

-----But it occurs to me that I still have a lot of fundamentals to master before I can consider myself a true hand in the kitchen~ so a little warm up may be in order~ pardon me~

A series of tiny clacks from a pair of wooden sandals rang out against the floor as Cynna approached the man at a strange mix of fast and slow; it was as though she were a vengeful spirit or those people you see walking on the flat treadmills beside you at the airport.

In her hand, was a snowball. It materialized from her inventory and heavens know how long she had kept it there. Nearing point-blank range, Cynna threw this snowball at Yugam's back as he did his tasks with all the tiny force she could muster. Cynna was small. Cynna was weak. This attack full of petulant sore-loserness would be easy enough for the man to stop or dodge. But she was bitter! This was the man who had buried her while she was taking her time to gloat!

Whether she succeeded or not, Cynna would quickly clean the snow up as the first order of business. She was a guest after all. She spoke to Yugam as she did so.

Don't-think-you've-won-In-fact-you-didn't-my-battle-was-elsewhere-so-it-didn't-count.

Cynna's spirits raised at her awful self-justification with a hmph~

----Getting back on track, Cynna tied up her loose sleeves and did that hold your bicep effort arm pose as she looked at the ingredients before her with a sharp, strong, nod.

So~ I understand the basics but~ *gulp* ~ is such a pure dish really something I can accomplish~? I feel like its very essence could banish me off the face of the planet. No Cynna~ you knew this before you began~ cooking is a battlefield~ so we soldier on...

Cynna's hands shakily began to prepare cream of coconut. Cynna considered herself a cursed weapon, and so, something made of such pure lovey dovey couple's bonding energy terrified her. Cynna could very well be exorcised. The pressure was akin to preparing sushi when one's cooking utensils were solely composed of live angry snakes. If one drop gets on me... I'm a goner...!

*deathglare at bowl while working*

With little peeks at Yugam. Cynna won't lose!

"Right... cooking."

Ash actually knew how to cook, at least in the real world. But the real world had things like dial-controlled stoves and automatic ovens, while Terrasphere had. Well, fire, and fire-adjacent magic.

Simmering milk wasn't too hard, though. He just had to be incredibly careful about the temperature of the flames. It gave him something to focus on other than whatever interpersonal drama seemed to be happening. Like watching a cooking drama, heh.

He listened a little longer, then had his attention drawn by the faint smell of scorching. With a frown he began fiddling with the setup again, glaring at the pot as if it might scare it into calming down. When it did go back to simmering (completely unrelated to his glaring, or the faint supernatural chill surrounding him), he leaned back with a sigh.

"Well, at least it's not making custard..."

"You certainly took on a big task, huh Luthien? Looks like they're expecting a lot of bottles."

"YOU!"
The unforgettable sound of a harpy's screech pierced the air before Luthien could offer the man an alternative that would save his intestines. Yugam whirled around upon hearing the noise, finger already pointing before he even caught sight of the woman.
"YOU!?" Yugam shouted back in equal measures surprise and very, very mild horror. What was she doing here? Was she a Whistle? She better not be here to steal the alcohol that Yugam most likely wouldn't even be able to- oh, she knows Luth. Okay then.

The man went back evaporating his milk, slowly stirring the pot, unable to keep from overhearing the kill-stealer's conversation with his girlfriend. "...what is that doing here?" Yugam rolled his eyes. Another beastfolk walked in moments later, greeting everyone. "Sorry I'm late dearie~ I'm afraid I got a little lost~" she greeted. Yu raised a hand and waved, vaguely recognizing her from the Wintersday expedition, before going back to his stirring. And eavesdropping.

"...I hope he's not bothering you or forcing you to let him party with us against your will. Just say the word. I'll toss him out faster than you can yell toxic masculinity." Why was Yu even surprised?
"I can hear you, ya know?" the man finally said, looking over at the pair. "I am literally standing right next to y-oof!"

A blast of cold, white powder slammed into Yugam's face. Compeletely unprepared for the unexpected, wintry attack, the man's whole body somersaulted through the air before the man landed flat on his back.

"God, what did I do to deserve this?"

The answer came in the form of the tiny fox girl looming over him shouting, "Don'tthinkyou'vewonInfactyoudidn'tmybattlewaselsewheresoitdidn'tcount."

...

What in the fuck?

"Don't mind me, I think I'm just gonna lie here a while...and die..."

And thus, the story of Yugam ended. By a bunch of fox girls at a coquito party set up by the love his life...oh, the tragedy...

Wandering into the Embertorch with a smugness familiar to any who'd seen him before, Schilva Flasch had caught wind of some DIY drink mixing going on here and decided to grace the event with his presence. Why, of course a cocktail party would benefit from his radiant chutzpah and charm!

Ignoring the fact that he hadn't actually the foggiest idea what a coquito was, the swordsman adjusts his uwa-obi; apparently, there was a need for his superior swordsmanship even at such a tame event. Something about coconuts needing to be split.

Alright! Let's get this party started! Bring 'em out!

Springing into action and unsheathing his blades, Schilva has to spend a while getting the memo that he wasn't splitting the coconuts open right away. Grumbling to himself as he sits down and takes to punching holes in some coconuts, the swordsman is obviously not pleased that he carried his best equipment all this way only to be stuck in some cooking show.

Ronja wasn't particularly great cook, but she was good at making sweets in general, and these coquitos were certainly something that were of Ronja's interest to learn, especially not having that many opportunities to make these domestic activities in game.

@Luthien's presence was one of the many reasons that encouraged her to come, and whenever their eyes met, Ronja showed a small smile, happy for her friend's excitement.

She carefully worked on the Milk, the easiest of the tasks, but that needed to be finished soon so they could handle the tougher steps of the recipe.

Ronja peeked at @Yugam, shaking her head. "Come on, you can't give up just yet-" She scolded, giving him a nudge with her feet and offering a hand for him to stand up. "Here, Ronja will help you to finish it!"

It seemed like people had the evaporated milk more or less covered, so Ash decided to try something a little more difficult. The recipes he'd briefly looked up made it sound like candy-making, which was... obnoxious, but he knew a bit about it.

Plus, getting up to refresh his stock and get some sugar was a good way to put distance between him and... whatever was happening over there. He glanced Luthien's way as he passed, but... honestly, it wasn't his business and he was afraid to ask.

Instead, he started up the next recipe, idly watching the time on his palm menu as he stirred and let his mind wander. He glanced vaguely in @Schilva Flasch's direction - he'd come out blades swinging, and yet still managed to be one of the calmer people in the room...

"...did you really think you were going to bring in swords and use them on food?"

Fiora took a momentary pause from simmering to glance over to the scene @Yugam was doing. Unsurprisingly, the man didn't learn his lesson to stay away from crazy women, and this time it's not a human but a fox instead. Leaning against the counter, the elf wrapped scarred arms under her bust and smiled, just watching the man flop to the ground after one powder-y assault.

"Ronja don't touch him, he's infected. You gonna catch a severe case of stupidity." She teasefully remarked as her eyes were dead set on @Ronja Bubblyfoot, all too keen to let her golden heart out, always ready to help out anyone who needs it and even do their homework for them.

Pushing herself off, Fiora went over to Luthien with a secretive glare on her eye, turning over to watch the rest over the rest of the group, particulary over @Cynna. The proximity with her fellow elf merely habit, despite her words echoing across Luth's mind.

['I like anyone who craps on Yu, but y'know just say the word and I'll catch that fox's attention and bully her a bit for him. Anything beats cooking, given how much I suck at it.'] Honest to her word, because if it weren't for Ronja and her friends over here, she would be doing anything else she's good at, like dropping the ingredients for them to work on.

Not like she was putting that much effort to begin with, despite having already prepared just a little bit on the evaporated milk department.

A TASTE OF CHRISTMAS
Coquito Culinary Workshop

Open To Anyone & Everyone Else That's Interested!

There was some truth to the man’s words, and she was thankful that Yugam was around to keep her excitement from bubbling over too much—taking a deep breath as she looked over things one last time and mentally went through the steps to ensure she wasn’t missing a thing. "Actually yeah, Imma try to make a version that won’t kill you specifically—" From the second she had listed off the usual ingredients for the festive drink her boyfriend hadn’t seemed to excited about it, though it was understandable. "—buuut it’s the first time I try a milk-free version, so no promises it’ll be as good as the real thing." It felt only fair to let the man know how experimental this version was to her, and while the internet research she’d done before today pointed at it being an overall success for lactose intolerant people Lúthien wouldn’t really know until she tried her hand at it.

"YOU!"
"YOU!?"

The sudden outcry of two familiar voices almost caused Lúthien to almost jump out of her skin, a sigh of relief leaving her lips as she barely managed to keep the large glass bottle of homemade vanilla essence that she’d apparated from her UI inventory and into the game world within her grasp. "Guys, what the—oh! You two know each other…?" The initial scolding tone in her words quickly changed to one of curious surprise as she looked from Vashti to Yugam and back, before the vixen had made her way over to her just as the elf settled the bottle safely onto the large table.

"Agreed, it’s definitely been way too long—but sometimes IRL calls and we can’t ignore it, right?" She offered the dark-haired girl a wide smile, a clear sign that the blonde wasn’t bothered in the slightest that the other had been missing for a while—she was always willing to pick up where they’d last left off. "Glad that you’re here today, and I can’t wait to hear what you think of these once they’re done~" It was then the vixen pulled in closer, quietly whispering to the elf, and it took everything in Lúthien’s power to not burst into a laughter upon realizing who Vashti was speaking about. "It’s quite alright actually, y’see that over there is actually my boyfriend, Ar-Yugam."

"Sorry I'm late dearie~ I'm afraid I got a little lost~"
"Don’t worry about it, you’re just in time! We’re just getting started right now."

A new voice had Lúthien turning away from her friend, allowing Vashti a few moments to process and digest the new info, as she turned towards the other foxgirl. There was a smile on the ranger’s lips as she listened to Cynna’s words, before a pause occurred as she noticed the beastfolk staring intently at one person in the room… Yugam. { Look out—aah, too late. } There was an attempt to warn the hunter of the incoming snowball once Lúthien had seen the orb materialize into Cynna’s hand, but the surprise at the turn of events had caused a delay in the message—and thus her boyfriend got pelted right in the face as a result.

"You certainly took on a big task, huh Luthien? Looks like they're expecting a lot of bottles."
"Wha—oh! Ahahah, y-yeah… I might’ve gone a bit too far when pitching the idea to Zeus and Childress."

She’d been so focused on actually getting the chance to perform such a workshop that the elf hadn’t thought past that part, reality setting in once she’d seen the ridiculously large amount of coconuts and other raw ingredients that the League had acquired for today, along with the almost never-ending looking army of disinfected glass bottles waiting to be filled.

"Thanks for coming by on such short notice, Vee." Upon seeing the amount of orders they were expected to fill today, and the rather small sign-up list that she had, the blonde had taken it upon herself to send a message to friends in her contact list—with the members of Time EX included among those. "... I just wish Meri was here too, y’know?"

For the first time throughout the day her mood had seemed to dampen, the smile on her lips slowly fading away at the memory of the faerin they had all met months ago in Camp Hope. No matter how much she had tried, Lúthien had been unable to learn anything about the faith of Meriam so far and, not for the first time, the elf felt a sense of guilt gnawing inside of her while a lingering bitter taste settled at the back of her tongue.

A familiar voice helped snap the girl from her own thoughts, catching sight of the blue-haired magia as she moved closer to Yugam, offering the man a hand to pull him up from the floor where he currently lay. The sighting of Ronja soon had Lúthien looking around for a tall and white haired elf, but before she could find Fiora her gaze settled on Schilva as the man punched holes into the coconuts… with a sword? Well it seemed to be working, so who was she to question the man’s methods?

"Ronja don't touch him, he's infected. You gonna catch a severe case of stupidity."
"Fio…"

Trained ears quickly caught the teasing words of the other, a warning tone accompanying her voice as she uttered the elf’s nickname—though the grin on Lúthien’s face clearly showed it was all bark and no bite, she already understood how the dynamics between Fiora and Yugam worked. "Don’t listen to her Ronja, there’s nothing wrong with Yu." She stuck her tongue out at the white-haired elf as Fiora approached, the taller one leaning against the table as she seemed to survey the others present. To others nothing would seem out of place, Lúthien continuing to work herself on some of the coconuts as she punctured holes into them to drain the water within.

{ Nah, it’s alright, he can fight his own snowy battles~ } A light giggle accompanied the telepathic message, the elf carefully raising the coconut close to her face and sniffing. Nothing smelled weird or out of place and so she proceeded to drain that coconut before moving onto the next. { Just some leftover hard feelings from the ‘Great Wintersday Snowball War’ of twenty-thirthy-three… or something like that, I think. }

Another two coconuts were punctured and drained in a similar fashion, before the ranger’s eyes turned back to her friend. "How about giving me a hand draining these instead, Fio? There’s a looot of coconuts to process after all… Her hand swept over the table filled with coconuts, and then the additional sacks still waiting for spare hands to work on them too.

Yeah, perhaps she had bitten a bit too much to chew with this project… but they were here now, and there was no going back.

Once reduced enough, you'll be able to tell by the creamy color and thicker consistency, and pass it through a sieve as it's being poured into a separate container. Set aside to cool completely.

❰ 085/150 ❱

CONDENSED MILK
❰ Recipe Description ❱
Instructions:

For every 250mL of ❰ condensed milk ❱ being made you will need 500mL of milk and 166.7g of sugar.

Add the milk and sugar into a pot and heat over a low flame until all the sugar has dissolved, stirring occasionally. Once the mixture has combined, simmer it over a medium-low flame.

Once ready, remove from the heat and pour into a jar to cool.

❰ 050/250 ❱

The familiar voice caught Ronja's attention, and she glanced at @Fiora Di Angelo when she joked at @Yugam being infected with stupidity, making the magia roll her eyes slightly and shake her head with a brief giggle. "You are very exaggerated, Fiora. Ronja is sure he isn't a health hazard." She said, shaking her hand a bit more for Yugam, as emphasis for him to take it if he needed to stand up.

Regardless if he took it or not, the magia would soon return to the business, but not before noticing @Luthien's words, trying to reassure her that Yugam was fine.

"You are really protective of him, huh, Luthy? That's really cute." Ronja giggled to the blonde elf, glancing at the duo one last time as they went on for the coconuts, before starting to work on the evaporating milk once again, albeit not as effectively as before, maybe a bit distracted.

Kyanna was nearly dragging @Eva, with a hold on her hand while tugging eagerly into the coquito workshop that so much caught the witch girl's attention. Her eyes brimmed seeing everyone working together to make the wonderful sweets, and as she turned to face the woman, her usual joyful eyes brimmed while looking at the older woman.

"I told you, it is the perfect opportunity for you to teach me a bit more of alchemy-" She said, trying to make a point that, honestly aside from 'being fun', was the only objective reasoning she could give to Eva to convince her to come in.

Her approach was quick, going straight to what was probably the longest step of the whole recipe. Be it instinctive or not, she shifted her gaze to Eva, smiling widely as she started working on it. "So, ma'am, tell me what I gotta do next!" She said, already poking holes in a coconut to dry it up.

Fiora shrugged just a little once called out, her motions far more tame and collected compared to what Luth was used to given the friendship between her and Yugam. Despite that, the knightess's nack for kicking him when he's down and sharing some laughs with the ranger never ceased to be

"Don't listen to her Ronja, there's nothing wrong with Yu." And she lolled her tongue out... What a rascal.
"Don't lie to the rest of the gang around here." Fiora nudged her elbow against @Luthien's, returning to idle once her peer explained the beef between Yugam and Cynna. While the rest would see her simply frown or quirk up her eyebrows back at their hostess in complete confusion, switching eyes between the elf and the coconuts she's currently draining.

"How about giving me a hand draining these instead, Fio? There's a looot of coconuts to process after all…"
"Sounds simple enough, just gotta do it like you do it, right?"
A self-answering question that led Fiora to do just the same. It couldn't be so hard: just grab the coconut and stab it through it's 'eyes'. And when she did so, it worked just like she expected, only that the knife went straight through the whole coconut and spilled all it's fluids down over her clothes, forcing the elf to look back down and drop the coconut on the table. "Welp, the cons of having all your stats in strength." She glanced over to Luthien, Apologetic as she repeated the process once again, this time finally draining it as she should.

Giving a look over to @Ronja Bubblyfoot as the woman snickered at, Fiora hit her with a knowing stare and a quaint smile. "You are one to talk. Did she ever tell you what she did with me in a quest, Luth?" Resting her left elbow over the counter, her attention redirected at the blonde. "We were in a cavern, got attacked by a big dissonant beast. Nasty bastard, my sword was like a toothpick for it so I had to get down to punch it, and then, when it looked like I was about to get trashed, cutiepie over here got mad and blew it's head off with a salingshot, and almost tore down the entire cavern in the process." How much of that was true would be left for Luth to judge, yet her voice didn't seem to carry much in terms of exaggeration. "And here I thought I was her knight. Turns out I was the one in need of rescueing that day."

"Boyfriend?"

She repeated the word in obvious disbelief. She knew Luthien to be a woman of excellent taste, but this? ...a momentary lapse in judgment, perhaps? Or maybe he was very good at hiding his bad qualities when he was presenting to a potential conquest? The keen-eyed Foxwoman turned her gaze on Yugam intently, as though she were more a hawk than the beast she'd opted for.

"...right," she murmured. She didn't have to say 'I'll be watching you' for Yugam to see the look in her eyes. The very moment that the man stepped out of line, she would be on his case like... no, white on rice wasn't close enough of an analogy. Despite their friendship being somewhat short in the relativistic sense, Vash was a supreme believer in the importance of girl code, and the need for young women (and hell, older women, women in general) to stick together. Men were all too often self-interested, absorbed, and more than willing to step on the broken backs of the women they fucked their way to the top of.

She'd been duped one time too many by a guy just like that.

But this was a party, and she wasn't going to let her prejudices ruin that.

"Now let's see about this Condensed Milk, shall we?"

"I told you, it is the perfect opportunity for you to teach me a bit more of alchemy-"
Eva sighed as she followed the girl, protesting without any emotional tone whatsoever, "But there's no connection between coquito and alchemy." But soon the woman resigned anyway and began to read the recipe they provided.

The Russian lady was not in any way familiar with this coquito, but she knew how to follow a recipe to the T.

"So, ma'am, tell me what I gotta do next!"

She took the coconut and poured the water into a glass jar, showing Kyanna how it was done. "We drain the coconut of its water," then Eva looked at the oven, which was already preheated. "According to the recipe, we should now just put the empty coconut on a tray and wait for a while." She put @Kyanna Wynne's coconut and hers on a tray before sending it inside the blazing oven.

The prospect of a shiny room reeled her in and many others. To some it was the tasty holidays drink and the blissful colours across the extensive kitchen and pseudo-lounge given what the current visitors are using it for. Most importantly, it lured two very important specimens she couldn't resist to tag along with, hidden through the shadows like some secret spy.

Why of course, their mother @Eva and beloved @Kyanna Wynne The Witch. The Tick Tock duo tagged in just a moment after these two made their entrance, wearing fake glasses with a big fake nose and a big fake moustache, oh and hairy brows, just to conceal their identity further, and some hypnotic spiraling crazy scientist tint on their glasses for extra flavourful stealth.

"Coquito coquito. Diminutive of coconut, puerto rican eggnog. Mama's favourite." Tick's hands reached around Eva's right side like she were some wall to hide behind.
"Kai-aen-nah~" Tock whispered to the raven haired witch with little pauses in-between. "Mi amor, Tock missed you so much! Why, running away without your hopefully-better half is a love crime on itself."
"It's not official until we celebrate and mama blesses you two. Isn't that right, Evie?"
Tick retorted with a wide smile as wide eyes settled onto Eva's. "Ah! Tick knows, how about we pierce some cocos, work out some drinks and then indulge into the discrepancies between coquitos and alchemy? A screwdriver should work just fine."

Tock, on the other hand, found herself glued next to Kyanna. And thankfully for the witch not in the literal sense, given she carries gorilla glue everywhere inside her satchel of wonders. "Tock got a tray riight here, just for you."

As Cynna followed the instructions there was a small splash causing the foxgirl to leap back with a hiss. Cynna's ears and tails furled as she glared at the concoction in process before slowly raising her hands and smoothing herself down with a little *ahem*. She then looked around to see if anyone saw. That was when her eyes met @Yugam 's head. Deep down, Cynna sensed something, a connection. A comraderie that only two who had fought to the death and left life-long scars upon one another could share. Maybe. Was it true? Could friendship boom on the battlefield?

*clack*
*clack*
*clack*

Cynna's wooden sandals once again made a small racket as she approached the man. Nearing him she gave him a bit of a side long glance as she pulled something out of her sleeve, which was how she liked to access her inventory. With her other hand she cupped it near her mouth as though to whisper.

Maybe Yu...gam... and I aren't so different after all. I can tell. You too fear The Coquito...

Though I doubt you would believe me if I told you that you were one source of its terrifying power.

Cynna nodded.

Now that history has been corrected, I think it would be best for us to get into the 'spirit of things' and what better way to do so than with some spirits~? Ms. Luthien was kind enough to invite me, a member of the other team, after all~ I should follow suit~

And so, from Cynna's sleeve she revealed a small bottle of Wild Foxy Bourbon Whiskey.

Truly~ with a face that sour I doubt we would need much else than these two glasses----

Lowering her whispering hand, Cynna also revealed a pair of tumblers from her sleeve.

*Clink Clink*

----but tis the season for excess~ is it not~? So why not see what we can add to it~~~~? Well~ you are joining me yes~? ~What should we toast to, as an excuse to take a little break~?

"Both use recipes, furnaces, brewing, and this sort of thing." She tried to reason it, then followed @Eva's instructions. Kyanna had no trouble proceeding with drying the coconut, perking up at how easy it was, drying the coconuts, and letting them into the tray that was maneuvered into the oven by Eva.

"That was pretty easy, but since we need to make tons of them, I guess I will-" The familiar voice then caught Kyanna's attention, that blinked and pursed her lips as she noticed @Tick Tock approaching abruptly and with funny disguises, with the latter's words making Kyanna's cheek redden for a moment before she sighed and shook her head.

"Hello, both of you." She said, returning to work with the coconuts before Tock closed in, showing a tray and offering it.

"Y-Yeah... Thanks." Kyanna frowned a bit.

"... Why did you two come here though? Was it a coincidence or Eva invited you?" She asked, peeking at the older woman, curious.

Ronja's eyes widened looking at @Fiora Di Angelo, when she was just out there exposing that day without a hint of hesitation, making her cheeks grow red, despite being a magia. "Th-That day was one we were both in actual danger!" She said, with her biomagitechnological components heating up as her magitech heart clanked stronger and faster, overworking her heating features and making the milk heat intensely.

"Besides... You were the one that came for Ronja, she only managed to help you because you helped her, so... It was both of us... And..." Ronja tried to explain herself further, but then she squinted at Fiora and scowled.

"Why are you even bringing it up anyway?!" She exclaimed a rhetorical question, with ears releasing a sudden cyan-ish steam, like a pressured pipe that had just erupted, and as soon as she realized, she had all the milk she was working on was ready. "... Oh..."
