The Finweald Royal Reservatory.

About as close to the home she found in her own library she figured she might find in this game, it didn't take long for Celine to find herself attracted to the cylindrical building. Eight stories of stories, histories, and research texts to go through. And for once, it was full of things Celine hadn't already read. She was a speed reader from a young age, so she'd learned to quickly digest and scan through information rather than taking a long time to consume it like most average folks did.

She was decently dressed for her part, robes covering her body that looked humble enough. It was when she used her powers that she looked majestic, angelic wings of light sprouting from her back. She liked to look unassuming until necessary. Once in the library, she made a point to do as little talking as possible so that she could get to the good stuff that she'd come here for. She was so focused, however, on getting to the point of getting books to read, that her tunnel vision caused her to bump into someone. Feeling immediately foolish and apologetic, she turned to the person she'd bumped into with an expression of remorse hidden by a smile,

"So sorry! Are you okay?"

A well of Knowledge...

Deep down Betty smiled. To herself, to her mind, to her masterful plan pulled just as she expected to. The purposeful bump against this lady of golden locks found her dropping on her rump against the ground with a little yelp breaking through her lips, like the good little actress she could be.

A pout escaped her lips just then, the brunette rised her eyes up to the woman she just collided with, pain collected within her gaze, but she steeled herself over before it became too dramatic to pass by as a natural response.

"So sorry! Are you okay?"

"dinnae ya leuk where ye gae, nojya?" Thick accent broke through, irritated but moreso afflicted by the fall that had her rubbing her backside for a moment before she propped back up to her feet. Betty gave one, two looks to this modest lady. Staff around the library? No, she's been here a few times already, more than one sucker falling for her voice alone. Are all 'gamers' that easy to bait? Well, they were all guys to begin with, this one is different.

But appealing to the eye, at the very least. But who isn't when they can craft themselves at their heart's content?

"Ah it's ma fault anyways, don't worry, nojya. Been actin' the maggot and didnae watch ma step before turnin around." Betty added, patting around her coat's pockets, the tight clothing she wore that had zero way to fit pockets too just for good measure, only to look around behind her and across the floor. "Feck, I dropped it!" She covered her lips just as her voice went up a few notches.

Oh no, she was cute. And Irish. Celine had a fondness for accents, and the Irish brogue was among her favorites. There was a little hint in the back of her mind that perhaps this had been planned when the girl had apparently dropped something, but she decided to go along with it all the same. Even if it was a lie, or this was some setup, it was probably going to be fun.

"Oh, gosh. What have you lost? I can help you look for it."

Having read so much, she'd seen this trick pulled in her mind's eye when reading stories about confidence men. The girl certainly seemed confident in her words, the higher pitch of her exclamation seeming perhaps a little practiced. Being involved in such a thing was exciting to her, though, like it was some adventure story and this was just the beginning where two unlikely people started off on something much bigger than themselves.

Giving this lady a quick nod, Betty fell down to her knees, pressing her face almost against the floor, her tail wagging from side to side with the floof dusting off the wood while she peeked with one eye closed beneath the shelves.

"A key. But a canae tell ye why, it's a secret. Juist help me find it, ye causit this i the first place, nojya!" Of course the key should have been around here somewhere, her right hand pawing about the ground, only finally then blinking in realization:

'A didnae drop it like A shoud have. It's still in ma coat... Feck'

Betty gulped, loudly so, before breaking into pouts and huffs before sitting down properly, a pleading look over her features once she locked eyes with Celine yet again. "It's nowhere... Uch, ye owe me big time, ye pox! Now whit are we gonna dae here, nojya?" She stomped a foot down, folding her arms under her bust. Her shouts didn't go unnoticed though, at least from some other readers that gave a glance to the pair then back to their books. Fool me once, they say...

"Thon key wis a relic, a treasure tae another treasure. It costit sae much gold e'en." Her voice faltered at the end, a finger pressing against her nose as she sniffed, audibly at that just to add to the 'poor wolf girl' factor.

As the girl spoke, flipping back to how it was Celine's fault, she smirked as it started to come together. It was a key, huh?

"Now, now, no need to start being insulting. It was a simple accident." Allegedly. What were they gonna do here, really? Celine grew more curious with each passing moment, wondering exactly where this was going and what her endgame was. As she continued to speak, her tone changed into one of confidence that the girl was definitely trying to shaft her, perhaps coming off a little condescending without meaning to.

"Are you sure you dropped it? I don't see any black holes on the floor, and the way you fell, I can't see it coming out of these pockets. You wouldn't be so careless to hold such a treasure in just a regular pocket, right? You seem like a clever one, so I'm curious, what is it you want, hm?" She asked, "I presume you want gold to replace it? Gold I don't have, meaning I'd owe you. And what would we do then? Perhaps we could at least exchange names first? My name is Celine." She offered gently, a slight bow of her head accompanying her words, hands folded in front of her. Unfalteringly calm about the whole thing, she didn't seem bothered by the fact that she was the target of a con. She wondered what the con was called.

Logical this one, and that's why she usually doesn't trick the ones with big brains, specially with cheap ploys like that. But she was sort of caught red handed, or at least that's what this woman tried her to believe. Tenacious is her second name, afterall, and giving in simply to someone being so calm would be an insult to all the silver tongues she met in the past.

"Way ower smart, nojya... Betty Apple, pleasure tae meet ye, Celine." She switched her stance, weight held with her right leg instead as she extended a hand over to the blonde for one nice handshake, ready to avoid having to explain herself that much. "But ye still owe me, sae hou aboot ye help me oot instead o payin me? a favor always trumps money." The wolf took one step closer, leaning over Celine's shoulder, both hands couped against her shoulder to give her that little last push to reach her ear.

"Ye leuk like the studious type, sae hou aboot we gae find some literature. A have a key an thon ainae na lie, but A'm sure ye wad love tae give a leuk at whit they hide around this library, richt? nojya." She took a step backwards, innocent smile betraying her proposition.

Celine smirked at the change in tone, and more at the insistence that she owed this Betty anything. She supposed for bumping into her she could have a little adventure. What was the point in playing without a little excitement, after all?

"Fine, what did you have in mind?" Only to then be whispered to about the key that she had to one of the locked rooms of the library. How she got the key, she wasn't going to ask, but she was curious.

"I see. I suppose I could be up for a little mischief. You are right, though. I'm a librarian in the real world. Something tells me your treasure isn't as exciting as you might hope, but I'm interested to know what lies beyond these locked doors, myself." She said, lowering her voice to whisper back. It helped that she was naturally a soft-spoken person, and her voice was moderately damaged to the point of sounding like soft gravel.

"Lead the way." She smiled softly. There was something rather interesting about the girl, like she was already familiar with her. She was so expressive, so cute, that she wanted that to be the case. Perhaps this would be only one of many adventures with her. She could certainly use more excitement in her life, and someone like Betty was probably a magnet for adventure.
