VRS Indirect Comms

Around the time of this thread, Chelsea had several lesser players of Terrasphere act as in-person messengers, using magic, their high speed, summons, or whatever else they possessed to send information to those in her personal circle. The experience of previous threats taught her to have a plan no matter how shoddy. After all, UI was a mess and getting worse with time. Just another way Terrasphere worked to ensure players would die.

If you are around a Magia player take caution, if you are a Magia player, LOG OUT or otherwise get as far from Vintergard as possible. There is reason to believe an event similar to that of Camp Hope is repeating. Certain enemies have power over Magitech and especially Magia's themselves.

If you are a Forefront Member (you know who you are), spread this message and AVOID any Magia until someone assembles a counterforce. You all already know how these events go.

Do not be stupid!

Ash's response comes quickly, though it's a bit hard to parse at first. Specters make for poor messengers, especially when they're too far gone for words and have to make do with emotional impressions and faint whispers.

Still, they mostly get the gist of his reply across, along with an echo of his anxiety. People evacuating east or offline. Interface distorted and can't use.

Be careful.

@Lady N's message came too late, seeing as how Shadow's eyes were red-lit as he fended off the ambushing magia.

With his UI flickering and jittering, he found himself at a disadvantage. However, the big grin on his face indicated how much he enjoyed the circumstance he had found himself in.

Look at the number of bad guys who need to be absolutely demolished.

Robomama had finally decided to get serious, huh? Logging out didn't even cross his mind as he dove back into the chaos.

Lune looked at the sky as one of Lady N's messengers came. Destroyed bodies of magia littered the ground surrounding them. She was really lucky, to log in on this particular day.

"SZOFRIT." The Steel Reaver growled before she left for Vintergard. She would've contacted Throne, if only the comms were working. Let's just hope that they have the same thought as her.

Today, her vengeance shall be brought.

Hanno noticed @Lady N's message flickering in his glitchy UI, trying to return a message quickly, while he still remained some control of his UI.

Noted, buddy.

We will be holding them as much as we can until we can fight them back with full power.

Be safe.

The reminder of the strange behavior of the Magia finally snapped into his mind. Of course, no wonder that girl that fought with them against Eve and the Matrix was going rogue. He needed to team up, fight off the immediate threats, and hopefully charge to the root of the problem.

Especially when he knew Moonsong (@Lune) wouldn't miss the chance to be there.

As Schilva sprinted through the Astorean countryside at breakneck speed, things started to feel more and more wrong as he went. The closer he got towards Camp Hope, passing Finweald, the worse the situation became. A second realisation dawned upon him as he slowed to sudden stop.

Sprawled on the bloodied path before him was the body of a messenger, surrounded by the scattered scrap of what appeared to be some of the Magia deathsquad that had intercepted them. The messenger's end had been a messy struggle to the point that it was hard to tell whether they were Lander or Starcalled, but the Magia had not desecrated their remains beyond what damage was 'necessary' to kill; an archetypal execution.

The hastily scribed message from one @Lady N was still intact in their slack grip, though, which identified them well enough.

...

Brows furrowing as he discarded all frivolous theories about this incident, Schilva briefly considered trying to log out again, but decided against it. No, there was no time.

Camp Hope needed him, a hero. Again.
