Vina hopped down from the rocky formation she'd been walking on, her bare feet landing on the soft grass as she arrived at her destination. Redchron was for the most part relatively barren area, what little vegetation that existed being hardy enough to survive here where more colourful plants would have trouble dealing with the lack of rainfall. However, there were exceptions amidst the tall stone formations that formed most of the landscape here: oases fed by groundwater would become the nucleus of green life, which in turn would also draw the attention of the local wildlife. Amidst the red and brown earth and stone, these small gardens would be like miniature jungles.
In this particular case, it was a jungle whose oasis was heated up by the volcano upon which the Prince of Fire had been slain over four years ago. The volcano was asleep, but underground magma flows still caused the oasis to have an invigorating heat to it, a haze of steam slowly drifting upwards. The plants that surrounded the oasis didn't seem to mind, as the rich minerals that saturated the water made them grow big and strong.
It was not a place many people knew about, but Vina had heard of it while talking with some birds. They considered it a good place to find fruits, but Vina had much bigger plans than merely filling her stomach. After the expedition into Tangleweaves her friends, @Cleo Looker and @Fina Drago, had both looked like they could use a break. It had been a hectic experience, dangerous and unnerving as the Red Fever had caused everyone's emotions to spiral out of control before the MIT had managed to develop a cure.
What better way for both she and her friends to recover from the ordeal than to take a bath in a hot spring surrounded by such beautiful vegetation? They didn't have to worry about being disturbed here, as the rock formations enclosed the oasis as if designed to provide shelter, and there were few things as relaxing as taking a warm bath.
Having sent an invitation to her friends through the menu Vina was the first to arrive, and while a part of her wanted to jump in immediately she also wanted to wait for her friends. Finding a compromise with herself she sat at the edge of the water and dangled her feet in it, her ears twitching and a sigh of relief escaping her lips as she almost immediately felt that welcome warmth washing over her. She hoped that the other two would arrive soon, or she'd end up losing the internal battle and jumping in by herself.
