A ruckus around Grania Trail!

The Grania Trail, a large trade route that connects northern Falderen and Astorea and with several little towns and villages across it's span. A popular stop for many, and to put the word 'trade' in 'route', for it is in said villages that markets come and go, from the exotics the commoner cannot find to what is average in Falderen's depths. It is through this system that nomadic merchants make their trades at higher than usual prices, aswell as for masses to gather at specific hours of the day.

And such proved a tasteful opportunity for Betty, who found the most daring (or foolish) of players and landers as a gold mine to her antics. Specially the former. The latter worked as great bait, with some coins even children would join her masterful plans to bring in any tourist her way with stories so grandiose about a hammer crafted by the very gods and left for a worthy hero to grasp and rise...

The two-handed weapon stands on the ground at the center of the town, and next to it are a mass of people who make a line and drop gold to the wolfish lady herself. Betty giggles as the last player to try finally gave up, with the man throwing hands up in defeat, panting once it took all out of him from just the mere attempt. That, and the heat within the stone head of the hammer itself.

"This is bullshit! How the hell you got this here even?" He turned back to Betty, who waved a finger dismissively at him.

"The last hero droppit it for me ower here, nojya. Ye juist arrived, hmmm, five hours early tae speir him aboot it" She replied, fuzzy tail dusting off the ground beneath here, were the cracks from the hammer still remain present.

"Oooh!" She exclaimed, as her eyes scouted for one peculiar person past the line. Perhaps she planned to join? Or perhaps not, but these muscles, that form. Certainly someone to put to test and see if she can slide some extra coins out of their purse if possible.

"Yer one over there, cailín." Betty waved and pointed at @Valkryja, wide smile on her lips. "Wanna give it a lash, nojya? The hammer's waitin for a strong lady like ye to pan out some bad people!" A quick gesture back to the hammer, whose runes begun to resonate, the flames within reacting. But if it was to Valkryja, Betty or something else, she couldn't possibly tell.

The ruckus had caught Valkryja's attention almost immediately. As she was the princess of ruckus herself, she trampled over the line that had a few unmotivated fellows, and some naive excited ones (Just like her).

She waited cheerfully, not understanding a single thing of what was happening until she started hearing to some frustrated people-

"This is bullshit..."

"... that thing is probably cemented to the ground."

"Maybe it is just a sculpture?"

"This is a lie, that merchant is suspicious-"

Valkryja rose her eyebrow, crossing her arms when noticing a couple more malicious stares rather than simply frustrated. Whew, people were getting real salty!

"Huh-" Valkryja rubbed her chin, looking at the adorable beastfolk. Why everyone in that game was peak of beauty, handisomeness or cuteness was beyond Valkryja's understanding, but she loved it!

"HAH, it is waiting for me?" Valkryja smirked, flexing her arms and making their muscles bulge. "Leave it to me, adorable, preetiest, shaddiest, CUTESTEST animal gal" she roared, clasping a hand on her chest.

"I, Valkryja, the strongest, greatest, POWERFULEST will lift that thing for you, since that pitiful hero just let you hanging with this big arse hammer on here." She exclaimed as she stomped ahead, holding the grip of the hammer.

Now, easier said than fucking done! Valkryja was beaming with confidence, but deep down she knew a handful of mammoth tier people were failing to lift that thing. HELL THAT DUDE'S BODY WAS PERFECT AND PEAK OF STRENGTH AND HE COULDN'T!!!

But he only used raw strength, Valkryja knew that- "Power isn't in the muscles of the BODY. It is also in the muscles of MIND, ORAAAAAAAAHH!!"

Her hands crystalized around the grip, essentially petrifying and gluing them to the hammer as the crystals crawled under the ground sinking a feet under it before she tried to lift hammer, land and soil all along with it.

"HAH, it is waiting for me?"

"O' course it is, nojya!" She added, giving a look over to this mass of muscles that called itself a lady. Just flexing showed off far more than whatever all these men had. Calling themselves body builders was a shame when put in comparison to this woman , who peaked even the strongest scot tourists she seen back at home.

All that roaring and mouthful of adjectives thrown her way had Betty flustering, her tail wrapped around her left leg, or tried to with how much thick fluff there is, and she no cat girl to be doing such things! Of course this all came off as this girl being an anti social weirdo boosted by the anonymous confidence of being inside a VR game. That would explain every single word that spread out of her mouth.

"Oooh ma michty heroine, nojya. No like aw these yokes ower thare, uestionin me an a hero's hamme-" She huffed, strolling about near the newest participant who took over the place from the first in line, who just stared daggers at the both of them, with Betty smiling like a cheshire cat would. "bunch o minus craics all o' em." The wolfish lady strolled to the side, giving enough space for the oranguta- nice and very smart lady to prepare herself!

At first she just watched with her arms folded under her bust. It looked like yet another easy prey she would steal some gold from, but apparently, she underestimated just how far a smooth brain can go when given magic on top of it.

"W-WHAT?" Betty exclaimed, eyes wide open as disbelief made it impossible to process what was happening: the floor itself lifted and gave in to the tenacious muscle girl. None could lift the hammer, and where brute strength wasn't the answer in most cases, this time apparently it was.

The thing came clean out with ground and stone and everything, only for it to last a few seconds before the glue finally gave in and the piece of soil dropped atop of Valkryja, leaving a clean rune hammer. The crowd was amazed, Betty caught up to how the stunt just cleansed her good name from all the hearsay and chittering going about the participants.

Everyone howled out, some with a mixture of jealousy, others with pure admiration for who seemed to be the strongest among them!

At least until a group of people begun to approach them, and the villagers were letting them cross, despite being no more than an elder with a very long beard, and two younglings clad in leather vestments. The man lifted his staff, carved with runes not so different to the ones in the hammer-

BONK!

"OWWWW HEY WHIT WIS THON FOR?!" She cried out, rubbing her head with both hands, yet her pouts and complaints fell short to the stern gaze of that old geezer, who then turned towards Valkryja and-

BONK! Right on the noggin'.

"You two traveler children, have you any idea who that hammer belongs to?!" The man furiously spoke, with wizened serenity that complimented his age.

"Tae some hero, nojy-."
"Yes and no."
"To... Her?"
She shot glances back to Valkryja. Maybe she was the new hero? She did fit the-

BONK!

"OOOOWWWWWWWW"

"To the sacred guardian of the Pact. And he will be very disturbed to find his tool missing..."

Being called a cute girl her mighty heroine? Yeah, no. That fueled Valkryja's ego and determination to oblivion, making her hulking pull even more absurd and exaggerated. Of course, there was a lot of effort involved, with her veins nearly jumping out of her hodt as she attempted the feat.

Yet, when the hammer was off the ground, it felt much more bearable to hold, making her comfortable enough to hold with a single hand.

The cheering made woman feel a wave of pride, and she flexed her free arm to the crowd. "HEH-" She huffed smugly at the jealous, and smirked at the admirers, and winked at the surprised girl that had challenged her. It felt just like a weight lifting performance, which wasn't bodybuilding, but was just as cool!

"This is Valkryja, I tell you! I will carry this hammer for you, M'Lady." She smirked, until they were interrupted by some old guy bonking the girl.

"Hey man, not cool! It is the Pact dude's fault for leaving the hammer here for a small girl that can't even lift it proper-" BONK!

"Ooow!"
She held her nose with her free hand, slammed straight by the staff. "HEY, just because my face isn't as nice as this adorable, pretty, shady, cutestest Lady's and those other beauties from the crowd it doesn't mean you should try to make the gap even bigger." Valkryja scowled, snapping her nose back to place.

Just what she expected. A heroine with more arms than brains, and just as much joy as any other of her kind. But unlike the rest of the cattle, she stood up among the mountain of players in this game by being ridiculously strong.

All that flattery had her cross her arms behind her back and smile, just an attempt not to shut down the poor gal that ruined all her plans in a minute's notice. Yet it's her fault for chosing them in the first place, so she couldn't complain for biting more than she could chew.

Their introductions (or Valkryja's only, really) were quickly dropped when an old geezer came to bonk them both, and the protests from the taller lady didn't make him hesitate in the slightest. These complaints, however, had him sigh off. As if travelers weren't weird enough already...

"You are correct: she's shady. So, might explain yourself to me and how you got this hammer here in the first place?" He turned accussatory eyes back to Betty... Whose sweating bullets right now just from his mere presence.

"A bargainit for it! yeah!"
"That hammer of his is what lets him work and keep the forge of the ancient running. Do you understand the meaning of that?"
"Uh..."

The man turned back to Valkryja, staff pointed at the hammer, then back at her face, mere inches of her nose! "You are just as responsible for this now. This woman here scammed you, and is putting an old treaty in danger that will risk the safety of our village and the entirety of Grania Trail. Gods forbid the hammer remains in this town and not in the hands of it's owner where it belongs." The elder coughed, where one of his keepers placed a hand on his back then gazed back to the duo, frowning.

"He's just worried for his people, and he can't handle stress of this sort right now. That hammer is important for it's owner. I'll point out where you can find his lair if it's not much to ask, and I've mapped the safest path there already. Please?" He pleaded, the youthful man giving a glance to his cousin, who took hold of the elder's hand and begun to lead the man away.

"Eeehhh..." Betty gave a glance back to the old man, furrowed brows and a guilty conscience begun to tug away at the strings on her heart, hands resting over her hips as her head dropped along her gaze. "If she can carry it aw ower wi me. A dinnae feel safe oot thare alone, nojya." It all fell on the hands of the big strong woman herself. Would she embark on a most EPICEST, GRANDIOSEST, HAMMEREST quest to return what seemed to be more than an oversized fire bonker? Would she wint he favor of the SHADIEST CUTTEST BEATUFIULEST beast girl on the process?

BONK!

"Ow you fucker of a gramps!" Valkryja lost her temper, hissing an insult at the old man, rubbing the spot she got hit once again and making her scowl. "What? You are telling me the adorable, pretty, shady, cutestest lady is a scammer?! How dare YOU?!" She roared, leaning in.

"Of course she is, man, but c'mon, she is a cutie, let her off hook and we can give her a scolding later. If all these guys decide to get mad at her, we will get a mob hunting her down." She whispered to the old guy, shaking her head and raising her posture with her hands on her hips. "BUT I FULLY UNDERSTAND NOW!" Valkryja thundered, turning to face the youthful man and smirking.

"All good then. So if you, pretty, handsome, HELPFULEST young dude could help us ladies out, we could definitely bring this hammer back to its owner, since he forgot his hammer here!" Valkryja said, tapping the huge arse hammer resting on her shoulder.

"Let's go?" Valkryja looked at @Betty Apple.
