Vina looked, as she had since Kyra had first met her, ever comfortable considering their surroundings. There was no unnerving looks, uncomfortable aura to her frame, or anything that would signify that she felt the imposing presence that the jungle presented. It was, in essence, a contrast to how Kyra felt she appeared; everything around her seemed foreign, and while not dangerous it seemed to be reminding her of how insignificant and unimportant she was in comparison.

Vina, however, seemed to flow into that aura. Not quite becoming one with it, but clearly not overwhelmed or overshadowed by the imposing nature. She seemed to be at home here, as if this was nothing more than any other forest in the world that could be travelled through. Maybe it's her druidic nature...or maybe she's just been here so long...? Whatever the reasoning, Kyra could only confirm that it seemed like a natural connection.

Not as intense...that's good to hear. Not that it was too much by any means, but...well, less intense is always nice.

She settled into the area that had been pointed out by Vina, leaning back into the tree in a manner that seemed to be trying to mimic the other; although with far less comfortableness or ease. She felt out of place, as if she were an imposter in the area, trying to pretend like she belonged.

It can't be any worse than what we already did...right? So...it should be fine. Everything should be fine...

She closed her eyes, once again trying to mimic Vina's actions, leaning back into the tree and trying to reach out towards it with a semblance of her consciousness. At the same time, she searched for that seem connection she'd had with Vina earlier, looking for that feeling that had bonded her with the other fox. She only needed to assist with the connection, to help, there was nothing she needed to control or try and guide. So why do I feel so nervous?

It'll be fine, yes~ We're not in direct danger and our work has given us enough time that we don't have to hurry. (She nodded once.) And this time we can even do it while relaxing!

She could tell that Kyra was feeling anxious, and the druidess tried her best to calm her friend down. While they were dealing with a fairly serious situation she didn't think they needed to panic: the ward they'd set up around the source of the disease should hold for a good while, and the winds had yet to return to the infected region. And while they would come into contact with the infected zones through their ritual the disease shouldn't be able to spread to them, nor should they be capable of accidentally making the situation worse.

All things considered, she figured that the situation was as hopeful as it could be

Let's get started then~ Just close your eyes, breathe slowly, and try to focus on my song.

Vina herself fell quiet after that, her breathing slowing down as she let herself get immersed in their surroundings. The red tree's thick roots were like arms offering them rest and comfort, the vixen smiling even as her eyes remained closed. Resting one of her hands on the trunk next to her she began to tap it, forming a rhythm which was soon joined by her melodious humming.

At first her hand barely made a sound, but as the song continued the drumming went deeper, travelling through the roots so Kyra could feel it as much as she heard it. The tree itself was listening as well, and as the druidess kept going their consciousnesses would slowly sink into the tree's roots, each tapping of Vina's hand guiding them further and further into the earth, where many groundcritters dwelled and powers older than the knowledge of men resided.

As she was the one performing the ritual Vina would lead the way, her melody guiding the two of them to where the red tree's deep roots intermixed with those of its many neighbours. A single web became a multitude until their minds were travelling through a network of the forest's veins, towards where black-ridden plagues were eating away at the many green things that flowered upon the forest's soilskin.

Through these rootveins that connected all trees the green magic wielded by all druids flowed, making flowers bloom and branches grow. However, in those green-skinned saplings where the blight had taken hold nature's blood was eroded and consumed, leaving them barren and lifeless. From down here in the roots it was clear how the disease gnawed at nature's very lifeblood, even if it was currently unable to expand further: the smallplants that it had managed to claim were already rotting away, and it couldn't reach the rest of the forest through their small root systems.

If left alone like this the disease might waste away on its own, but Vina wanted to see if they could find a cure: through magic and music they'd denied the blight its chance to spread and flourish, but it was better to erase it than to let it fester, possibly finding new paths to consume greater parts of the forest. However, the forest's blood flowed as slowly as it was big: they had to take their time getting familiar with the sensation of being one with the roots before they could get to work guiding the Tangleweaves into fighting off the disease.

Or at least Kyra had to get familiar with the sensation of her consciousness being so deep in the earth, being aware of every tree who resonated with Vina's persistent if gentle drumming.
