Three masteries? Out of five? Harukami didn't sound too sure herself, but they could always figure out more later.

"Right, Kit! Crush Weapons." She responded near automatically as Kit went ahead and picked another mastery. Well, Kat didn't mind. Her sister was likely smarter than her anyway. And... even if the thought of crushing your enemies into a pulp. "If it allows us to express our spite for those that hurt us, it'll be perfect!" Kat nodded. Though such a skill was way less valuable in the real world unless one was an apothecary. Kat turned to Harukami, asking. "Would you, too, crush those that hurt your twin to absolute dust?" It was perfectly normal twin behavior, right? Right!

For the third mastery, however, the decision was now on the raven-haired girl. "We are Magia..." She murmured, trying to reason. "So what about this Magitek? I'm sure it can make rainbows. And give us the ability to flight. And turn this cottage into a Magitek... Castle! Right, Kit?" All important things that Harukami had decided not to answer earlier.

Harukami chuckled a bit as the twins talked about their other two masteries. When asked about what she'd do if her twin was hurt, she laughed a bit more. "My sister would probably crush them before I got the chance to strike. She's really strong." The thought of her sister actually letting her attack someone was funny because there was little way that was happening. "When we play games together, Etsuko always plays the fighter and I'm always the support. That's just how we do things. But... If anyone hurts her, I'll still punch them square in the face."

Talking about her sister made Haruka more confident, as her stutter seemed to ultimately disappear while imagining the scene. Haruka was pretty weak in reality. She was tall and lanky with almost no muscle on her body. Still, she'd certainly try to defend her sister. That's why she was fond of the 'older sibling' talk whenever Etsuko brought someone home.

"I don't know much about Magitech myself, but it seems very useful. I bet you could do a lot of those things if you tried. I'm not sure what its limits are, but... Making things you can use sounds really smart. That's why I've been working on my basic crafting abilities a lot."

Harukami answered precisely as she should've: punch 'em in the face! It felt a little mild of a punishment, she thought, but at least it was the answer was the in general category she'd expected!

"Good answer!" Kit nodded in satisfaction, hand pointed at Harukami like a judge pronouncing her innocent.

Kit nodded at Kat's suggestion for the third mastery. "Right, Kat~!" That actually sounded amazing! She'd insisted on the Magia race, mainly just because they supposedly didn't age, and so the two twins could remain forever looking the exact same without having to worry about aging differently. If she also got to tinker with gadgets and gizmos with her new sister, that sounded like the real dream.

She swiftly selected the two other masteries, realizing the implication as they sat next to each other in the menu. "Big Magic Hammers!" Kit exclaimed with joy, the gamer geek showing herself with force! "So cool...!"

"Big Magic Hammers!"

Kat joined after Kit. Before concluding. "Kitkat can be supporter and fighter!" There, she said the name! "Right, Kit?" Tilting her head, Kat was now thinking for a moment as Harukami mentioned Magitek more. Or rather, crafting!

"Crafting? That is a thing... Yes! Magitek MUST be awesome!" Kat suddenly spoke up with an enthusiasm Kit had only seen when they talked about their twinship, animals, and ice cream! "I'm sure Kit and I can find a lot of spare parts lying around places, this is how it goes in these things, right? Of course, we'd need tools and a workshop to make anything worthwhile. Though we can probably start small and do with makeshift cutters. The hammers could be used to pr-" Kat stopped for a moment. No. Bad Kat! Throwing a coughing fit for a moment that would make Kit (and Harukami) maybe throw into enough worry that Kat was about to die, she quickly calmed down.

"Alright, Haru! You've been wonderfully helpful so far. So we have picked our, uh, masteries. Yes?" She tried to navigate her palm menu a little bit more. "Is there more you can tell us?" Originally, Kat would have inquired more about this whole crafting business. But that was now a no-go zone.

Haruka couldn't help giggling when she was called 'Haru' by one of the twins- because that was what her twin always called her, ever since she'd changed her real name from Hayato to Haruka. And Haruka was the only time she really remembered well- so did it matter that there was a time she was called Hayato? Absolutely not!

"I'm glad you're finding me helpful so far. Next, why don't we go over investigation mode? You're going to want to know how to use it, especially if you're going to be looking for parts for Magitech and other crafts." Haruka smiled, explaining what 'investigation mode' was, and how it could be used to discover much about the world around them- including about other people.

"Oh! Speaking of other people... Have you two added each other to your contacts list?" Harukami moved to send a request to add the two girls as contacts on her friend list. "I hope you don't mind... But I, er, sent you a contact request- both of you. This way, we can keep in touch even after today. There's still a lot to learn, but um... I figured we should get it done now, so that no matter what happens, you can contact me if you wish to..."

Kit tilted her head curiously. What was Harukami giggling about? Was she not taking their twinship seriously!? Laughing at them, thinking they weren’t good enough to be serious rivals!? The absolute nerve of her! She’d show her just how amazing they were!

… Right after learning more about the game, of course.

She found herself nodding slowly as Harukami went on to explain investigation mode. Immediately, it was like a Kit in a candy store, as she found herself investigating everything. Harukami. Kat. Herself. That chair. That house. The tree over there. The bunny which was still watching them from afar all dubious-like (though now that she saw its super low level, maybe she wasn’t that worried about it).

"This is awesome! I wish it was this easy to get stats on things in real life." She said, still stuck on investigation mode while Harukami kept trying to push the conversation to the contact list. Eventually, Kit would give in. "O-oh, right, well… I’ll never get separated from Kat, but I guess it wouldn’t hurt, just in case…"

Kit opened the menu, found the contact button, and was easily able to flick through it to accept Harukami’s offer, then send Kat one of her own. Simple friend-list stuff; she’d seen it all dozens of times before.

Harukami seemed to enjoy herself, even though helping out newbies wasn't the most fun thing to do. So Kit did appreciate that!

"Investigation mode... yeep!" Turning it on, Kit took a step back in shock as the world around her was suddenly filled with data. Or rather, she was flooded with information. "W-What is this!?" She asked in awe in shock. "T-That's like... urm, cheating?" It sure felt like it!

Much like Kit, Kat too tried it here and there. Although way more reserved in doing so. "This seems useful, thank you very much!" She gave Harukami a bow, and she then went on to explain the contact list.

By now, Kat has gotten more and more the hang of how to control this palm menu! Maybe she'd go back into the settings later and reverse whatever she turned on... or off? Eh.

"It's just like a smartphone!" She spoke, though there was a bit of bitterness behind these words. "So we can send... messages to each other?" She asked, making sure to accept Kit's request before Harukami's, and even managing to put Kit in her favorites. All by herself!

Though not like she'd play Terrasphere while separated from Kit anyway.

"I know what you mean. It takes a lot of work to get better at things in the real world, but here... Well, it still takes practice, but..." She trailed off, a bit unsure of how to describe the system. After all, she was still learning it herself every day!

"It's not cheating to have information! Knowing the enemy is a part of the battle... And knowing the world is helpful to living. This world is pretty dangerous, you know?"

Sure, the rabbit was friendly and not very high level- but she'd fought bears and tigers before. Well, not really fought. They usually listened to her. But other people surely got hurt by them, right?

"That's right, Kat. You can send messages anytime. You can even send voicemails, I think. I don't know how long the messages take, but they can be pretty convenient. Have you girls tried to make a party yet? You can see a lot about your partner if you're in a party together- like their health and stuff."

Kit nodded slowly as Harukami continued to explain... really, it was all pretty basic RPG stuff. It was hard to roll her eyes: to her, it was like getting lectured on how to breathe. Completely unnecessary instruction; you just did it without even thinking about it.

However...

She couldn't help but notice the way Kat was listening intently and following the instructions carefully. Engaging, asking fairly obvious questions... clearly Kat was someone who didn't play games much, which was surprising. She figured Kat had agreed to this whole arrangement because she was lonely. What lonely person didn't play tons of video games!? Did they even exist!?

Either way, Kit was thankful to Haruka for Kat's sake. At least, until she stepped over the line!

Right, Kat!

She'd stolen Kit's line! Her special line!

Kit's expression soured, and she puffed a cheek in a pouty protest directed at Harukami, crossing her arms in a fuss. The absolute nerve! Was she trying to be cheeky!? To steal Kat away from her!? Underneath that kind and pleasant facade lied a snake; Kit just knew it!

Waving aside Harukami's suggestions, Kit grabbed Kat's arm and tried to lead her away. "Well, thanks for the help, I guess," she mumbled, a bit more passive-aggressive than usual. "But Kat and I should be moving on now. Right, Kat?" She placed emphasis on the line, glancing between her twin and language thief.

As Kat continued to listen enthusiastically, she gave Harukami multiple nods. Something about the world being dangerous and stuff. Though at least they didn't have to worry about dying! It was a game and such, after all.

"A party?" Kat tilted her head, looking at Kit. From what she gathered in their exchanging of messages before starting Terrasphere, Kit didn't seem like the partying type. And what one usually saw about the people one would party with were mostly embarrassing memories. But then again, alcohol did loosen one's tongue.

Before Kat could say much more to it, however, Kit suddenly shifted her tone! Kit wanted leave, rather quickly... "Right, Kit!" ... Oh!... Oohhhh! Some things, Kat maybe struggled with. But here she did pick up immediately. Harukami used their special words!

Something that Kat hadn't even put much thought into, considering they did not come from Kit herself.

Yet... "Yes, we should leave now..." She gave Harukami a gracious bow. "Thank you for your help." More genuine than her twin-sister. "And take care!"

With these words, she gave Haru a quick wave before following Kit. "Nee-nee, you're adorable." She chuckled and gave Kit a head pat.

That's how it was done, right?

Haruka could only blink a few times when the girls were suddenly in a rush to leave. "Ah, okay... Well, make sure to go into town to buy a map! There's no mini-map in this game! Ah, and be careful- I've heard dying too often is bad for your health!"

She prayed the girls would heed her warnings. Her hands clasped in front of her, she took a moment to pray to the gods for the girls to be protected. "Please, Gods and Goddesses, be kind to those young ones... I can tell, they're both very good girls..."

As she waved to them when they were on the way away from the house, Haruka returned to cleaning inside the abandoned home, back to having only her ghastly companion by her side. "Those twins were really cute. Not as cute as 'Tsuko, but really cute! I hope I'll get to meet them again... What do you think, oh spirit friend?"

The spirit huffed, and Haruka laughed. And so, a quiet afternoon continued in Terrasphere. With any luck, those twins would shine brightly in the future. No... She was sure they would.
