Animate books appear to inhabit the northern hallway. They seem to be territorial, as they're... I can't really describe a book as growling, but that's as close as I could describe it. They may be dangerous.

If ya've ever seen a kobold, or wanted to, that's what I'm probably looking at over here on Eastland. Looks like they're made of shadows though. May be the locals or the upkeepers or whatever you want to call em'. Why just this hallway though? Maybe they're raiders after all.

Oh. Wait. Sorry, I'm used to some extreme circumstances. They might not be as dangerous as the ones I had encountered. Still, please describe them to me in detail when you can.

We are technically the cleaning crew for what's left of the research division after all. Can't go leaving any dust bunnies for them to trip over when they give this hellhole a second go.

Just be careful. The last encounter I had with Kobolds caused three player deaths-including mine. The circumstances were vastly different, and there were many of them-But keep a careful step regardless.

Found a really old book. Could be really useful. Might need someone who can read really old languages and/or text if ever.

There's a woman in the Southern Gallery, confined by a book. Possibly an expedition member.

Four monsters are present. Two cowled shelvers, and two animate books, one of which is held by the woman.

I have secured the western route up to this location, and will be proceeding with conflict resolution soon. Who is able to assist?

Side note, I checked that tree in the lobby. Seems to be made of book. Like, pages of paper. And the tree's also starting to get weird and creepy, so I think I'm gonna leave it alone now...

Seems like some commotion's going on in the East. I'm going to check it out. If the Western group's found an alive-person, maybe I'm about to be in a similar boat.

Oh yeah, in case I bite it, the ink is apparently alive, I don't really get it, but basically they're like slimes. Maybe that helps one of you.
