Taunting...

Fiora scratched her cheek, puzzled as usual when it came to magias. No matter how many times Ronja explained them, they seemed to get far more complicated as time passes. "I only know how to fix one and that's only because you taught me how. After that, it's rocket science to me, and you are the scientist." She smiled, pushing a few locks away from her face.

The matter of how valuable this process would be was, still, up to question. "We'll see. At the very least, it's information on Zalrisis. Perhaps it's not worth a shot as fuel, but maybe a way to cure it." Fiora explained, although they both were pretty much agreeing that the cons far outweigh they pros that this source could grant, and the matter that it relies on wildlife, specifically a big lizard they are yet to find, was yet another problem.

One that came charging straight at her lover when neither expected it-

The large croc tried to munch on it's prey, only to find it fleeing and it's mouth filled with resistance from something else, just as metallic as the last of it's meals. It wouldn't last for long though, as it's jaws clasped shut and devoured the wrench entirely, the screech the tool did as it's bent in unusual manner giving enough of an idea of what would have been Ronja's fate if it had caught her instead.

"Get some distance!" Fiora shouted as her hand stretched out for Ronja, grasping it tightly as the magical surge begun to glow and disperse all across her body and armor alike, quickly pulling the magia behind her as to put herself as a barrier for the incoming colossus that charged at them both.

She met it in full force thanks to Ronja's augmentation, her hands grasping it's mouth and forcing it shut with a few uppercut blows, her hands searing with fire to eat away at it's scales. It seemed to work for a little, until the beast broke free with a yank from it's head. Her eyes widened, left completely open for the Lizard's charge to slam her against the floor full of broken glass from it's former cell, tightening it's rows of teeth all around her torso as it begun to squeeze.

A cry of pain followed the crunch of the metal from her chestplate beginning to give in, desperately trying to pry it's mouth open with her hands. "R-RoOnja!!-" She cried out, for as long as her voice could go in-between her constant groans and the lack of air flowing through once the Lizard begun to shake her around like a dog with it's toy.

Taunt DC: 80 120
Every cycle, the Lizard will use two of these abilities:
  • Snap-Snap: Lunges at a target with it's large jaws and chomps them with it's incredible bite force, dealing 3d20 Damage. Roll a DC 75 Reflex/Fortitude Save To halve the damage and avoid ending up Restrained (Body + Legs effects) in it's mouth. Every turn that the target doesn't manage to free themselves up they will receive an extra 3d20 Damage.
  • Crystal Breath: Showers three targets with crystalized fumes, turning everything on it's path into crystals. It causes 70 Damage to three targets and applies one stack of Petrification. When this action is played, players can either use a Bonus Action to completely dodge Crystal Breath, or use it to grant their next attack Advantage aswell as double the damage rolled as they strike the crystal cluster within it's mouth.
  • The Death Roll: Grappling a target with it's mouth, the Lizard does it's signature move and begins to violently roll around with their prey, causing 8d20 Damage to the person targetted and causing one stack of Bleed. The Death Roll can only happen when a target is Vulnerable, and will prioritize said person unless Taunted. Denied by Oblivion Condition.
  • Thrash: Using it's sharp claws, the Lizard swipes at a target, causing 20 Damage and applying one stack of Bleed.
  • Scaley Tail: The Lizard spins around and smacks everything with it's tail, sending sharp rocks, objects or even using the tail itself as a blunt weapon to deal 40 Damage. This attack can strike beyond melee range.
  • Body Check: Slams it's full weight against the target for 30 Damage, pushing them away in the process and knocking them Prone.
Passives:
  • Thick Body: Physical Masteries (Except Piercing Weapons/Ranged Weapons) deal half their HP damage. SP Damage is unaffected.

Vulnerable

As the wrench was bent by the creature's jaws, Ronja gulped, clenching her fists as she backed off, by Fiora's concerned words, asking for her to get some distance.

"R-Right-"

The magia did, being tugged away by her knight while trying to materialize her rifle, Skullbuster on her arms. She watched her girlfriend deal with the creature in a clash of strength against strength. The uppercuts seemed to give them an upper hand at first, but it didn't take too long until tables suddenly turned, with the giant beast retaliating with every part of its body and having a firm grip of her girlfriend in its jaws.

Ronja's eyes opened widely, and with a half materialized rifle, she couldn't react immediately, aside from calling- "Nico!" And wincing at the sight of her girlfriend being shaked around like a ragdoll.

After the initial shock, Ronja rushed, forgetting her rifle for a moment and going behind the crocodile, thrusting her hand forward and activating her magnetism, concentrating on the creature itself.

Her fists clenched, and she tried, with all her energies, to pull the wrench inside of the beast to her, trying to make a mess inside of its systems.

Spawning on B4

The large croc lost it's grip on the elf as soon as it's last meal begun to violently push across it's insides, the damage not as great as one would expect, yet the pain was beyond anything it's previous captor could have ever done, with the wrench striking the crystalized cluster inside, shattering entirely after a few repeated bangs.

It was the perfect opportunity, as Fiora lifted the clenching teeth off her chestpiece and rolled onto the ground, struggling to push herself back up to her feet. A grateful albeit pained smile given back to Ronja. Despite how much she wished to thank her, the opportunity to strike opened itself up as the the Wrench came in handy for more than just adjusting bolts. Charging towards the beast, Fiora begun to push it back, punching it's belly repeatedly despite how much it's scales would soften the blows, making a combined effort with her lover to push the beast back and sent it tumbling backwards, where it slammed it's head and left a crack on the entrance frame.

It's tail wooshed around, threatening to strike the duo as it roared and backed away, sprinting at an impressive rate through the corridor they came from and heading back to the caverns.

"Thanks... You did a number on that poor scalie." A sharp pain on her abdomen made her hold her side and grit her teeth, her armor having dented inwards being a bit of an obstacle right now. "Come on w-we can't let it get away." There was no time to lick their wounds, not when this thing was turning tail and fleeing. It clearly was injured badly enough to want to retreat despite having them both cornered in such a small room.

Chasing after it, Ronja could notice the same stains of liquified zalran crystals all over the floor where their prey had been, aswell as fragments of these same crystals scattered randomly, all leading back to the caves and waterfalls surrounding the laboratory's entrance.

The Lizard turned back to the pair, it's eyes shining dimly like stars as it set it's devouring gaze on Ronja Bubblyfoot, the loud clank of it's jaws opening and closing being it's one intimidation attempt.

"Why would you retreat here..? it's a bad move." Fiora mumbled to herself. The whole situation seemed sketchy, moreso because the beast didn't outright flee, or rather, took the wrong turn..?

Regardless, they both were now facing the now Enraged Lizard That Rolls!

The Defensive System still functions, and has prioritized the escaped Test Subject over any other threat given previous protocols.
  1. You can charge up the the Defensive System by rolling a Mastery Check. If you have Arcanamancy, Dark Magic, Magitech, Alchemy and/or Divine Magic, you can add their modifiers into the roll. Using a Mastery Check takes one Main Action.
  2. Every 50SP, the Defense System will target the Lizard if it's within 2 tiles of distance, causing 5d20 + 20 Damage that increases for every 50 SP available (10d20 + 40/15d20 + 60/20d20 + 80/25d20 + 100).
  3. One can instead dismount the Defensive System's Crossbow and carry it with themselves if they have any means to handle heavy equipment, such as Crush Weapons, high Fortitude or a magical mastery to assist in this matter. Your movement is reduced by 1 (Except Fitness Signature users) but your range is increased by 2 (3 if using Extension) when using the Defensive System's Crossbow.
  4. They deal Non-Lethal Damage, but may be switched to Lethal for an extra +100. Doing so will permanently lock them in Lethal Mode.

Fiora's retaliation on the creature made it dart off for a moment, and Ronja was quick to approach her as soon as they were mildly safe for now, resting a hand on Fiora's arm, casting a concerned gaze to her wounds.

"A number..? Only if it is a zero... That thing is too bulky, dear. Ronja doubts it is anywhere close to be hurt..."

Ronja's lips pursed and she gazed at the creature trying to flee, and @Fiora Di Angelo didn't seem particularly inclined to let it go so easily, which made Ronja worried for the state of her girlfriend, but for the time being, she swallowed those concerns and clenched her fist tight, rushing ahead.

"Be careful with it, though- Ronja doesn't like the idea of you having an open wound near so much Zalrisis." She frowned, noticing the stains, and of course the new 'battle field' they were in.

Her eyes quickly darted to the 'turrets' nearby, defensive systems for that area. She supposed it was better than nothing.

"Ronja will try to get us some extra allies, but again, please, be careful with it." She warned, casting back a glare at the Lizard, before forcing a quick approach to one of the turrets, and with a wire escaping from her neck as she quickly attached in, feeding it with her own magical energy as small brimming dots went through the wire, going from her body to the turrets, that started up and aimed its crossbow at it.

"Not enough to kill it, yes, but it's not as hard from the inside. We just need to find it's weakness, that's all." Fiora reassured her moments before darting off in a pursuit within the caves, holding onto her groans as the pain simply begun to numb, even if the damage or the shortage of breath did not.

Heeding the warning, Fiora nodded, a focused look given to her lover. "I'll play safe if things get too risky, but for now I'll cover you until you get our backup." Severity in her tone as to show she wasn't going easy on the lizard, and to save Ronja some of the post-fight stress of tending to her wounds, given what happened last time anxiety came to play.

As they both rushed in, Fiora stepped to the side to use herself as a meat shield, flames wrapping around her gauntlets as they begun to take the shape of a shaft, and finally into a two-handed hammer, her left hand thrusted outwards to spray fire onto the beast's eyes and distract it just enough to slam the blunt end of the magical weapon against it's face. It might have done close to nothing in terms to light up the scales, yet the empowered raw arcane Ronja poured earlier on the elf coursed now through the hammer, what remained of it at least. Enough to strike through despite how well protected the beast was.

Yet despite stunned it got, the Lizard could tell something was happening, cornered as it is; The smaller one wasn't attacking, and by assumption it had to be the most vulnerable. The presence of these turrets only brought back experiences with them peppering his form with magical arrows, and the same was true the moment Ronja powered them up, with the turrets awakening and taking aim to spray them as if not a day had passed since that memory.

It roared as the arrows pierced through it's scales, the green behemoth charged forth in direction to Ronja. Fiora stood her ground, using the pyro-hammer as a means to stop it's jaws from biting her head off, and yet she was losing by inches the tug o' war, until eventually the magic broke to it's pressure and the Lizard slammed first against her, sending her rolling through the stone floors away from the pair.

"Ron-Ronja, get out of there!" Fiora shouted, gritting her teeth as she pushed herself off from the ground, unsheathing Last Hope and coating the blade on fire.

By the time it had reached Ronja though, most of it's momentum was lost, mitigating the impact but not the force with which it reared to smash it's crystalized, sharp side against the magia, sending her off far away from the turret she was fixing, across the waters and stalagmites, and towards one of the cavern's walls

Unable to tell just how hard the creature hit her, she knew this much was not enough to drop Ronja for long, even if her concerns almost threatened to break through her cool

"We need to change plans. Try to get closer to me, I'll take you to the turret and distract it a little longer, but I can't take too many hits!" She tried to be honest, as she already felt the pain catching up despite how much the flame tried to dull it. Thankfully, it also kept her fully awake, but not for long if they keep taking this punishment.

Ronja's eyes darted between the turret and @Fiora Di Angelo, that was dealing with the creature for now while the magia attempted to empower the turret further. However, at the exact moment she distracted herself, the creature charged in, and only her lover's voice caught Ronja's attention toward the danger.

Spotting to creature, Ronja tried to shield herself against the impact, with a mana barrier barely managing to cover her from the sharp carapace of the croc, before she was sent away, crashing and rolling against ground, feeling air escaping her lungs when her back struck against the hard surface of the wall.

Gasping for air, the magia materialized her giant wrench, using it as a clutch to support and force herself to stand quickly-

"C-Coming-" She warned, rushing her steps closer to Fiora, passing dangerously close to the croc as she hoped she would reach her girlfriend quick enough.

"This thing is really tough... you are all hurt already." Her lips pursed, resting the tip of her wrench against Fiora's shoulder before making it release a soothing gust of mana, numbing the pain and closing the wounds, even if it didn't manage to completely heal everything.

Movement: C2 > Act
+100 HP from Ronja's Heal
-25 HP from Slam Jam

There was something to be said about Ronja's boldness. The proximity to the Lizard almost rewarded her with a row full of teeth, it's jaws practically greeting the magia to step in as it turned herself into an easy meal, but by the time they closed, the force causing a spine-chilling pop noise across the air, nothing was there to munch on, with it's prey narrowly escaping it's fate despite the speed with which it lunged.

Even so much as watching it from the distance filled Fiora with dread and relief alike as her lover came out wholly unharmed from that, paying off greatly now that they both could cut distance one with the other.

The pain left her hunching forth, making it easier to give Ronja an eyeful, proving to be the opposite case to her own. "And you aren't. That... Means we are doing our job right." She breathed heavily, trying to catch some air as the internal damage begun to practically weave itself away, a faint smile her only way to thank her. "Good as new-" Fiora paused, eye gone wide as her hands launched onto the magia, holding onto her sides before quickly throwing her to the side and onto the air, half-expecting these rocket boots to save her from a terrible landing.

If not, at least, it did enough to stop the scalie juggernaut who leaped like a frog onto the pair, trying it's hardest to use it's main weapon against the duo, only to find more rock and dirt to feast on once both of them steered away from it's path.

Rolling unceremoniously over the floor, the leap of faith having left the best disoriented enough for her to reach out for it's tail as it set it's sights on Ronja yet again, it's stride halted entirely once it felt a yank, then a twist, and finally it rolled as it's nickname implied.

With Fiora as the culprit, screaming as her arms were pushed to the limit to even move such a monstrosity, setting it loose in direction of the cavern walls once enough force was picked up, with the turret awakening once it came in range yet again, the loud shots punctuating the air as it's magical ammunition proved efficient in piercing through and sending electrical jolts across it's system.

The torture only earned it a lash out, as the Lizard was far from done- No, it had just started, thrashing and slashing at the turret to the best of it's efforts, only to find it ineffective given the distance with the ground itself. It only made it panic more, as the cornered beast centered it's gaze on the duo yet again, vertical slits watching with a mixture of ire and fear.

"You are clear, go get to the turret!" Fiora shouted back at her girlfriend, positioning herself best to prepare to intercept the creature's next move.

Ronja frowned at @Fiora Di Angelo's words, not liking it in the slightest to think that because her lover was hurt and she wasn't, it meant they were doing their job well.

But before she could voice a complaint, being held and lift off the ground made her squeak, widening her eyes as the creature approached only for her to be tossed away, using her rocket boots to boost her up and avoid an abrupt landing and trying to get herself on her feet, despite the initial stumble and lack of balance.

"FIORA!" Ronja scolded, gritting her teeth when seeing Fiora clashing against the beast.

The magia took a couple steps forward, halting herself when being reminded of the other turret.

She glanced over at it, rushing herself and already releasing the wire out of her neck, grasping it and hurriedly trying to connect it with the turret. A mix of anxiety and hurry made the mana transferring far less efficient than the last time, and even as the turret stood again, it had a clearly faulty movement.

"... This will need to make it do." Her lips pursed, and she glanced at the lizard and her lover, trying to calculate her next move.

Despite a few strange noises coming from the turret, and a clear jankiness whenever it had to rotate on it's axis, the X-bow became serviceable once again as Ronja could notice how it turned to take aim at the Lizard, only nothing would follow-up, despite there being plenty of ammunition and all it's systems were functional beyond the external damage it had suffered from erosion. The leftmost turret in the caverns, however, didn't suffer from this effect as it kept raining hell onto the Lizard, it's bite felt in the air once it's target roared in agony.

"Don't worry about me! FOCUS!" Fiora shouted back, taking advantage of the turret taking some of the beast's attention to slam her fists against it's scales, expecting only but to tire off the monster from the constant beating, only this time the consistent assault from Ronja's turrets and herself finally bears fruits as the crystal scales strangely begun to shatter and bleed. Each punch sending it closer towards the center of the room.

It is then that Ronja can see the defense system activating and the trigger pulled almost automatically as soon as an optimal range was reached and it's sensors finally allowed it to shoot semi-auto electric bolts at the Lizard.

Some of them were left stuck on it's tail, the bolts sticking out like a sore thumb on the appendage as it swung it on an arc to bat away some of the incoming bolts, but most importantly, to aim it onto @Ronja Bubblyfoot, a strike as blunt as a mace, made double the worse by the same bolts she weaponized against it as they sent shocks coursing through her body of considerable voltage that would give her the right idea of just how much punishment their rolling monster was capable of enduring.

"Fuck. I'm coming!" Fiora cussed under her breath, rushing in Ronja's direction in hopes of repositioning and better strategize their next move. Instead, she was met by an external force, the corpulent reptile slamming itself against her side and forcing her to lose all balance as more and more distance is made between herself and Ronja, getting only glimpses as the world keeps spinning on until a stalactite thankfully stopped her, at the cost of some back pain in the future as she slammed right against it.

Pressing her fists against the waters, and the stone beneath, Fiora struggled herself back up to her feet as fire begun to warp around arms, hand reaching out for Last Hope as the rune beneath her gauntlet and the one on the hilt begun to shine as the blade turned to ash and materialized on her grasp a second after.

"We need to strike together. Keep him near, I'll try and pin it on place!"

-40 HP from Scaley Tail
Vulnerable

Ronja winced in pain when 'karma' decided to hit her back with the 'flail' that the beast's tail had turned into. She tried to keep a balance upon the impact, even using the giant wrench to partially parry the attack, but that didn't stop the black blood to spill out of her wounds as she stumbled back and tried to hold her wound tight, suppressing it from bleeding too much.

She did what she could to close the wound, just as Fiora charged for the rescue, at the cost of her own health as the usual.

"It is hard to not worry!" She retorted, watching the situation turning into a bad spot, shifting her gaze to the crocodile and taking Fiora's idea to start putting it into practice. "Ronja will need some time-" She said, thrusting her wrench toward Fiora's sword, using the tool as a catalyist to propel her mana and infuse the sword with a powerful mana, turning it as sharp as obsidian.

In the same breath, Ronja spinned the wrench on her hand and clasped its tip against the turret, loading it with glowing bolts that were shot as quick as lightning.

Her gaze then locked on the crocodile as she stepped away, with her camera lens eyes turning as they glowed with a strong, cyan hue.

"See, this is why you don't have to worry." Fiora aimed the tip of her blade at Ronja's general direction once a surge of magic begun to coat Last Hope. One of the many times her lover had touched this sword to improve or repair it. She smiled as it's patterns shimmer with a cyan hue. "You made this to keep me safe." She gave it a twirl before bullrushing towards the Lizard.

The creature aimed to slam itself fully onto Ronja just as lightning begun to form all across the crossbow turret the second her wrench tapped it. The first barrage of bolts were enough to not only destroy all momentum the croc had gotten from it's leap, but to even push it back, sending it dazzled against the ground.

Right where Fiora wanted it, swinging her blade in a ferocious wide arc across it's face, blood splatters following as the empowered weapon cut through scales, flesh and eyes, letting the rolling lizard thrashing it's body around and hissing hard enough to deafen one's ears a little, only to be silenced once the turret behind it begun to strike against it's spine, followed by the augmented bolts from the side, pushing the beast further away from the duo as the bolts exploded on impact.

By now the Lizard was reduced to send it's claws on the air, incapable of seeing it's targets properly despite making it's way closer and closer.

"I'll keep it at a distance. turn off the turrets once it gives up, love." She tightened her grasp around the hilt, her eye flickering back to her lover. Far more relaxed than she should, but given the state of the creature itself, this fight was almost over should they remain a little wary. Her distaste made clear, if only because this monster looked more like a victim, just as Ronja said.

It was barely a threat now, easy to notice given how docile and defensive their foe had grown now that it lost it's sight, it's breath, and scales. If only they could beat it down a little harder to make sure the fight stopped...

Holding a low stance, sword aimed down on an angle as she awaited for the animal to get closer to them, rather than the other way around, leaving the turrets to do their job.

"It doesn't mean it makes miracles!"

As the Skullbuster materialized, Ronja took a firm grasp of it, watching the creature being handled by @Fiora Di Angelo, being forced away with the elf's strength, frowning her lips when she saw the crocodile's eyes being slashed, making it thrash around unaware of what was happening in its surroundings.

Ronja muttered an apology under her breath, glancing at Fiora and nodding. "Will do... But first we need to make it calm down..."

She 'sheathed' her giant wrench, taking a sniper stance and trying to aim for the crocodile's weak part of the carapace, with the wire on her neck slipping and connecting on the gun, loading it up with mana, and twisting its barrel to switch to a non-lethal mode.

Taking a deep breath, she could only hope that the gun wouldn't falter to piecer the beast's carapace just because of the non-lethal mode.

When she pressed the trigger, the recoil sent her sliding slightly back, and the mana bullet clasped against a thick spot, deflecting to somewhere else even if it left a wound behind. Ronja clicked her tongue, trying to reload her gun.

A hearty chuckle poured from her lips, "Hey, you are the one crafting miracles, not the sword!" That's the only way to describe the Aidlings Ronja had come up with, and Last Hope itself. If anything, they never needed miracles to get out of trouble, but she might just need one now to make her lover worry less over her tank.

Yet what little rush of joy fell flat once the Lizard displayed it's true colours of a frightened beast lashing at them out of instinct. Just watching how the bullets from Skullbuster bounced from what's left of the scales shows how easy Ronja was going on the big croc. They went from trying to kill it, to suppress it entirely.

A task easier said than done as the monstrosity charged yet again with the same adamant stance of before, resilient to the bitter end, this time meeting with Fiora's fists instead of her sword. The weapon did it's purpose, and thus she opted to ease their roller lizard into 'calming down' as Ronja put it.

Yet far from reckless, the elf stood in between Ronja and herself, taking a quick note of the little crack on the thick spot the rifle bounced from, stretching her left hand out to ignite the air around said spot and cause a compact explosion on it's side.

The effect was but null on the beast, her surprise turned into a frown as she was forced to roll away from the incoming summersault from the crystal croc, thrashing and snapping it's jaws at the air as she took the opportunity to push it away, if only to disorient it further and forcing it to roll with her very own hands towards the furthermost turret, delivering a set of hook punches to it's belly to help it move faster towards the magical bullet rain, holding an arm out near Ronja as instincts told her to keep the brunette close, only to lower it as her brain caught up she was far away from danger.

"I don't think it's calming down any time soon..." Her head yanked towards the beast just as she heard the iconic sound of wires being pulled out and electric sparks filling the air, smoke coming from the auto-crossbow as the Lizard begun to desperately maim the one aggressor it could find. "...Good thing you have first-aid Aidlings." If anything, their efforts should make sure this creature doesn't die from physical trauma alone, despite the surprising amount of punishment it was capable of taking even now.

"Miracles..." Ronja wondered if they should really be called that, but those thoughts should be saved for later, as she was more focused on the thrashing beast, that now was making a mess on the turrets, especially after Fiora's second hook.

It gave enough time for Ronja to reload her weapon, charging it up with her mana before once again setting it up its non-lethal mode.

"Yeah... But its carapace is too thick, and Ronja doesn't think the turrets will last for too long." Her lips pursed, and she aimed once again, narrowing her gaze while she aimed, focusing for a certain shot between the scales--

But once again, the mana bullet deflected at the protective scales of the creature, prompting a low, muttering curse under her breath as she glanced over to Fiora.

"We need to hurry up." She frowned her lips.

Fiora squinted, turning her head over to the turrets as Ronja brought her attention to them. The Lizard wasn't just wildly thrashing, but rather, aiming to destroy their one ticket to bringing it down with ease. "I'll see about that carapace, you be ready for the chance to shoot at it."

Just watching Ronja prove her point was enough to make her realize how difficult it must be for magic to get through that beast. No wonder she can barely get her fire to work, only her fists and the physical augmentations her lover had given, plus the turret's specifically designed to contain the beast had any hope of doing enough damage.

Still, It was undeniable the kinetic impact from Skullbuster was enough to cause blunt trauma on the crocodile, reeling with each impact from the rifle even as it's powered down and aimed at thick spots, the weapon enough to put a dent despite not getting through fully as they expected. No matter how armored, a bullet is a bullet...

"Let's do this then. Hold some distance just in case. Fiora agreed, locking eye with Ronja for a moment before pulling back to the Lizard-

With their target distracted, Fiora rushed ahead, her body de-materializing as only a fleeting flame was left from her, shooting forth and shifting back as she landed on it's back, her hands prying between the scales. As soon as she pulled the first out however, she felt her ride turn into a bull and begun to hop around, rolling all across the floor as it went straight towards Ronja to slam it's body full on the magia and send her over to the ceiling, where sharp rocks awaited to crush her before gravity would try to finish the job once she got pulled back down.

Gasping for air, Fiora clinged onto the monster despite how it flattened her, tearing apart at a last set of scales with her last breath. "IT'S DONE, SHOO-" Her voice cut off as soon as the whip of a tail slammed down against her, burying the elf onto the ground as the Lizard roared and kept aiming it's claws at the winds.

It's sheer size allowed it to strike them both blindly, and yet with the pellets from the turret's magical arrows, it was evident it wouldn't last any longer, thus, it's survival instincts went haywire...

Ronja nodded at @Fiora Di Angelo's plan, sharply reloading her gun, even going as far to pump extra mana into it, giving little regard to her energy meter. It was no time for them to be holding back any trump cards, and noticing how tight the resistence of the creature was, she needed a bit more than a good aim... She needed raw power as well.

As she reloaded the gun, however- She was surprised by the creature suddenly closing in, rolling while crushing her beloved.

The yell for her girlfriend didn't even escape her lips, with the strike making her lose her footing, crushing her back against the spikes and forcing a groan out of her before she met the ground once again, struggling to remain firm.

"Grrrhh..." Ronja frowned her lips, opening her eyes and barely listening to Fiora's call, seeing the creature thrashing around.

Thankfully, Skullbuster was already loaded, and with a sigh between her lips, she didn't even bother to stand, thrusting the rifle forward and aiming, using the ground as a support as she barely had any strength to endure the weight of the gun.

"Go to... Sleep... Already..." She muttered, with a trembling aim that as soon as it met its target, she pulled the trigger, blasting a bullet that fiercely connected with the exposed area, leaving the magia to simply feel the last of her strengths escape from her body as her chin fell to the ground, clinging on her gun with a heavy breathing.

Ronja's final bullet managed to break through, with firepower enough to send the Lizard rolling away as it completely lost it's balance. Had it been a lethal strike, a hole would have been punched through from one end to the other. The damage, however, was more than evident as the ground quakes once their prey comes to a halt noticeably far away from the duo, slamming against the cavern's walls that sent debris from the temple itself crumbling down. Large chunks of cut stone shatters in collision with the floor, the ruckus awakened the half-concious elf from her pit of dirt and gravel.

And straight into a frenzy, as she rushed through to meet face to face with the crocodile one last time with blood beads almost forcing her to shut her eye close as they poured down her forehead and very closely to the iris. Flames bathed her arms as she made use of one of the chunky pillars, using the whole support as a blunt weapon to club the Lizard with, marble and runia written on the column all but broken with the first strike. The second went on an arc, the cleave concluding with the roller beast's face, putting the monster down for good with one last strike to the head as the croc ended now belly up.

Her eye jumped wide open as she came back to her senses, head yanked from side to side as panic settled in "Ronja..?!" Desperate and half-awake, Fiora carried herself around until she finally stopped the downed magia, rushing with as much strength as a drunk would after five pints, falling on her knees right next to her lover.

A gentle hold on her shoulders let Ronja lay on her back, nigh a word following as she focused on her inventory instead, sluggish memory and movement making finding the runestone all the more difficult,. A flash of hope followed her findings, hastely pressing the now materialized rock against her lover's bossom as she pulled her knife from her hip and begun to carve the empty rune on the center, a blue light taking over as soon as she did as magic begun to transfer from the trinket into the magia's core, enough to at least help her stand back up and cast magic again without fear of shutting down instantly.

"Hey, ain't no time to sleep on me." A weak smile covered her lips, as she let a hand reach down, sliding below Ronja's nape to gently tilt her head up. "Can you walk? We are not over yet, hun." She added concern taking over as the turret begun to fire again and again onto the fallen, slumbering beast, it's ammo yet to be depleted.

It just now hit her that her wounds were far from over, the blood did not account for the broken ribs or the sharp pain everytime she inhales. It only now dawned her how close to death that was. "Thanks... For saving me, dear." Genuine strength in her tone, Fiora did her best to push Ronja back up to her two feet, using her arm for her lover to support herself on if she needed.

Ronja half nodded when @Fiora Di Angelo came to her aid, looking at her girlfriend with a concerned expression when she was supported, noticing how hurt and worried she was.

The magia rested a hand over her cheek.

"Are you joking? You got all beaten up for me, and I have saved you..?" She sighed, with a faint chuckle escaping her lips as she tried reaching for her pouches while standing with a quite bit of effort, shuffling her hand in it and letting two spheres go, that turned into aid-lings that rapidly flew toward the turrets.

Each one of the glued on the magitech machines, attaching a wire that made sure to drain all the energy they had remaining in them, slowly making the machines falter, and eventually stop.

The aid-lings then propelled back to Ronja, with their wires plucking on Ronja's neck and making her wince slightly, receiving the mana that was soon processed by her body, resplenishing some of her energy. "Mana is too precious to waste it..." She half smiled, taking a deep breath and managing to properly stand, with renewed energy.

Her eyes then shifted to Fiora and the croc. "We need to take care of it... but first..." Her hand wrapped tightly on Fiora's. "You." She glanced over the wounds.

Fiora exhaled a chuckle, gritting her teeth in the process, the humourous quip from her lover indirectly answering her worries. "If you hadn't pulled the trigger I would still be buried between a tail and the floor, y'know." She retorted with a half-assed wink.

Standing back up in tandem with Ronja, slow and gentle, Fiora watched over as the spheres became full-fledged Aid-lings, flying over to begin the process of draining both turrets until not a single shot was fired again, reminding her of leeches, only these could fly, which was far scarier than the regular sort.

She nodded once they were both finally up to their feet and the flow of mana begun to lose it's shimmer as Ronja's body absorbed it. "Which is why I made these for you. Comes in handy in times like this." Their first rodeo proved her that magias needed mana in an almost hourly basis. Running out meant they would shut down, and such vulnerable spot was worrisome enough to work day and night in methods to counter it.

Fiora blinked once the attention went from the crocodile back to herself, eye staring down at their hands. She shook her head lightly, a quiet smile on her lips as she rubbed her thumbs across the back of Ronja's hands. "Us." She corrected, air exhaling from her nostrils akin to a sigh. "I'm not the only one hurt here, and this time I have the means to help you out. So let's save on mana and heal eachother out, hm?" A faint, motherly frown on her face made clear she wasn't budging on this one.

And then she went quiet, focusing on the tip of Ronja's fingers as fire begun to gently slither over her own, dancing across their arms before it spread moreso to her girlfriend than herself. Warmth sensations would take over the brunette, only to then dull down in an instant, like a voice completely silenced in the lapse of a second. Then, a familiar feeling, that of Fiora's Painbearing trait, only this time it wasn't merely the physical but mental too.

It didn't make Ronja's wounds hurt any less however, as if it had no effect. Steeling herself, a wrinkle or two formed on her forehead as she took over the burden of healing. A sting would erupt from the most serious injuries before they were closed shut and the damage was repaired alongside the biomagical skin and flesh that madeup the magia.

A heavy sigh concluded her elven trait and magical connection as a whole, locking gaze with Ronja afterwards "There. Now uh, C-can you 'push' the breastplate out.?" The steel bent inwards, and even now it still kept her from properly breathing in and out, making for one painful cage of torment.

At @Fiora Di Angelo's words, Ronja paused for a moment before nodding briefly. It was true, if she hadn't acted, things would have gone horribly, but she had only got into that situation because she had to protect Ronja from any harm. Still, she didn't spoke too much about it, leaving it quiet as Fiora showed affection, voicing the fact Ronja was hurt as well... though it came along with a hint of pain sharing.

Something in it made Ronja frown her lips, squeezing Fiora's hand softly. "Ronja won't stop you from sharing her physical pain... but please, keep her mind to herself." Her request didn't hint anger or any negative feelings, but her gaze turned to Fiora with sincerity, as she felt her own pain fading.

When it was Fiora's turn, Ronja moved with care to look at her girlfriend. "In this case... Let's take care of ourselves already." She prepared herself.

"That... That doesn't look good at all..." Ronja looked at the chestplate that was bent, pursing her lips before glancing up at Fiora. "First..." It wasn't going to make the wound any less harmful, but at the very least she could administer a pain numbing alchemical, which at the very least would make the whole situation far less painful.

The alchemical came in the form of a liquid, one that Ronja quickly made using a few tiny alchemical spheres she had on her, and filling a flask with water. With the spheres inside of it, she shook the flask, and the transparent liquid soon turned vaguely yellow.

"This increases physical resistence..." She offered it to Fiora, with her free hand resting on her lover's. "... Don't worry about the spheres, they are the same type of alchemicals Ronja uses to quickly make alchemical gases." It was a way to have any alchemical element with her, to be easily converted into any form she neede at the moment.

She would wait Fiora to drink its contents before she even dared to try and take a proper hold of the chestplate, 'are you ready?' her gaze pretty much asked to her girlfriend, and upon a confirmation, she would dettach the straps of the chestplate, carefully pulling it out and peeking in to make sure it was safe to continue.
