She'd spent days in the world of TerraSphere, exploring the minor villages and country sides that had been just beyond the edges of Honeyhome and Kyra's original entry to the world. While she'd found an immense pleasure in the natural aspects of the world, her tastes had been soured by the consistent glares and harsh words she'd received from the locals - Landers, as she'd come to learn they were named. Slowly, she'd learnt about the wars that had occurred, scouring the landscape and turning Landers against the Starcalled; those like Kyra who had fallen from the stars and into the world itself.

She'd tried, as much as she'd been allowed, to show that she was different. That she had no desire to harm anyone, to cause trouble. Few had listened - and usually only those who had wanted to sell to her. She'd found her time in the world becoming more and more difficult, between the required transactions just to stay alive, and the attitudes of those she'd faced. Her patience had been a saving grace only in the essence of allowing her to stomach the clearly elevated prices, the lack of compassion and the general stonewalling she'd faced by locals - locals who had been reluctantly happy to accept her help once they'd realised she could be useful.

As if the real world wasn't unwelcoming enough...now the digital world includes its own form of discrimination. At least here I have the ability to somewhat survive regardless of people's....well, people.

She'd done well not to have to use much violence since entering the world - preferring to find peaceful resolutions where possible. Still, she hadn't been stupid. One of her first purchases had been the kusarigamas that hung at her hips, the chains rattling as she walked along the pathway leading deeper into the forests of Eastern Brisshal. She'd been following a rumour about a hidden temple within the forests, supposedly containing the remains of some lost civilisation, and more importantly a herd of sheep-like creatures that a farmer had desired. She'd taken the contract in the hopes of making some money, as well as good graces with the locals - likely a lost cause, based on how subtly they'd scorned her even as they agreed to her proposition.

Even though they'd been talking about how they dared not enter this area...they still almost turned me down. Just because of who I am. It's...it's appalling.

Her fists clenched at her side as she ground her teeth slightly, the fluff of a tail swishing back and forth behind her. She hated the way that they treated her, all because she'd come from the sky - as if she'd somehow been involved in the events that had occurred. Her words of argument, desperate as they were, always fell on deaf ears. She'd been forced to fight for every scrap of respect she'd managed - and even that was few and far between.

Her eyes flitted up as she heard the sounds of footsteps in the distance, slowly approaching her along the roadway. Her ears, atop her head and perked, flicked slightly at the sounds, picking up and pinpointing their direction, speed and a number of other details that she never would've noticed without them. At least there's some benefits to this world...some beauty in it all.

Kyra begins her exploration of the forests in hopes of finding something...

The Eastern Brisshal may have been a place that was the starter area and that has been explored countless times. But just like every corner of Terrasphere, it seemed to always have a surprise or a new thing to look for. Ranging from the Power Stones to infinite labyrinths and the eventual ruins that were just there, waiting to be found and explored.

In her travels deep into its forest, however, she couldn't help but notice a girl making her way into it, without apparent direction.

Ruby had her hand on the pommel of her jian, watching the other girl with ears perked up and directed at her, allowing her Primal Aura to send an amicable but cautious feeling across @Kyra Vashtana's mind and body.

Letting the aura sink in for a moment, Ruby finally took more steps forward, raising her free hand and opening her guard, raising the cloak she had on her to allow the violet whistle resting on her chest to be more apparent for the girl, so she would know she was talking to an Explorer... That is, if she knew what that whistle was supposed to mean.

"Are you lost?" It did seem like the girl was wandering to no particular location in mind. "... Or searching for something?" Which was probably the more possible reason for the girl to be there.

She'd spun at the feeling that had washed over her, the feeling somehow both foreign and familiar in an odd way. It had taken the voice speaking out from nearby to pull her eyes to the other form - a surprise that her ears hadn't picked up their approach to such a close proximity. The voice itself had been friendly enough, a bit hesitant and reserved, but not aggressive or accusatory either. Something that Kyra was happy to have avoided after her previous experiences in the villages she'd visited.

Lost...? Yeah, I guess I am a bit...I'm actually looking for...

She paused suddenly, eyeing up the other individual slightly as she took in their form. For some reason the girl's appearance reminded her of a feline, graceful movements and coiled, poised muscles giving the imagery away far more than the ears and tail that adorned the figure.

Ah...sorry, I was saying...I was tasked by some locals to find an old, abandoned temple, or something similar to a temple at least. Supposedly it has some...mystical sheep? Some such thing, that they want, but were too scared to come look for themselves. They were kind enough to allow me to assist them for a bit of repayment.

She tried to keep the anger out of her tone as she spoke, but she couldn't help but stretch some of the words, a touch of disparity in the words as she tried to keep her emotions in check. She was still frustrated at their behaviour towards her, and she could feel it coming out in her tone.

Sorry...I'm still a bit...annoyed, I guess you could say. They were kind enough to give me some work, which is a rarity in these parts - or so I've been told. I-

She stopped suddenly as she realised she wasn't even sure who this other person was. As far as she knew, they could be like the others, and detest her as much as they did. In fact, there was the distinct possibility that this individual meant to cause her some sort of harm, or worse. Don't be absurd, she called out to you when you didn't even know she was there. If she wanted to hurt you, she'd have done so without a sound.

I...I never introduced myself. My name is Kyra, Kyra Varyth. It's a pleasure to meet you.

When the other girl showed to be docile, Ruby softened her stiff muscles and twitched her ears, listening to what the girl had to say, and what she revealed was rather... Intriguing, enough to catch Ruby's curiosity and make her ponder about it for a moment. "A temple and a mystical sheep... I can't say I've ever heard about this story..." She rubbed her chin. As expected, Eastern Brisshal indeed had a lot of strange and unique stuff that still needed to be unfolded.

Her head tilted, with her tails resting down as she noticed how apologetic the girl was about everything. "You don't need to apologize. It is a shame you haven't had a good start around here." She muttered. These surroundings were supposed to be much more friendly to everyone.

But it was when the girl finally introduced herself, that Ruby went quiet for a moment.

"Kyra..." Ruby echoed the name and closed her eyes for a moment, with a hum escaping from her lips as she opened them, with a rather soft and fond brim in them. "I've dreamed about someone named that before. Kyra." She admitted, approaching the girl and swaying her tails, offering her hand.

"It is a pleasure to meet you too, Kyra. Perhaps it is fate that we have met. My name is Crimson Ruby." She glanced over the girl one more time.

"If you are having so much trouble to get to this temple, why don't I help you to get to it?" Ruby rested her free hand over her chest. "I happen to be a Whistle, and I am good at finding my way." She explained.

Something about the way the girl reacted to her name caught Kyra's attention, bringing about pause for a few moments before she realised the other had offered to assist her. Almost immediately her mind leapt forwards, leaving behind the frozen state it had entered as the girl - Crimson Ruby - mentioned having dreamed about one with a similar name before. Something about the way she had said it made Kyra think there was more to it, but she knew better than to pry.

A...whistle? I've never heard of a whistle before...is that a title? Or like a career?

She stepped in beside the other as she asked her question, her eyes falling towards the violet coloured piece that hung from around the girl's neck. As she moved closer she realised that there weren't one, but multiple tails behind the other, drifting lazily behind the girl's form.

Erm...well, I don't really know much about the legends either. The...proprietors were less than willing to divulge anything beyond the most basic of information to me. I did manage to piece together a few things though, through pure luck mostly.

She closed her eyes as she forced the memories to her forefront, reciting the words that she had managed to collect snippets of and store within her mind. It came out almost poetic to her own ears, and where she began with a hesitant tone, she gained momentum as they began to flow from her lips.

Deep in the Eastern Woodlands...lays a temple, green and gold...covered by time and everything that passes, it hides itself from those walking by. Left from the Old Oak, behind the Wall of Thistles, and beneath the Everglade Arch it lies. At it's sight, you'll see a fluff of white - I think that's the sheep it speaks of - standing afore time. Graze slowly, for it will spook, and move inwards only when you cannot see...that's really all I have though...

She glanced about as she finished speaking, her eyes taking in the sunshine and otherwise lovely day that surrounded them. She'd made it this far out of pure luck, having learnt that there was an old oak that was famous in these parts....somewhere around here.

Somewhere nearby is the Old Oak that the...poem? Directions?...whatever they are, speak of...but I haven't managed to find it yet. I mean, I've only been out here a bit, but...

She shrugged then, letting her words fall silent in anticipation of what the other would say. She figured it wasn't much to go on - but she'd learnt that in this world, little hints and clues were really all you were given, most times.

"A bit of both. A Whistle is a member of the Explorers League." Ruby explained, flicking the whistle on her chest. "It is also a title, in a way. I am a Violet Whistle, because I've already participated in many expeditions... It is a rank, of the sorts." Though she was never really sure how the hierarchy worked, especially with how daring everyone was, and that even low ranked explorers decided to try and eat more than they could chew.

When Kyra mentioned a poem, Ruby closed her eyes, focusing on the message it tried to convey. It was more descriptive than abstract, telling about a scenic route than anything else. As the girl was done with it, Ruby's eyes opened again, sharply.

"That is an interesting poem. You should practice this more, your voice would make for a beautiful reciting." Ruby suggested, a bit off topic, but she soon returned to the important matters.

"As long as we keep our eyes open for the key hints of the poem, we can find it... I do happen to know about the location of an old oak. If it is the same of the poem... I am not sure." She shrugged, but smiled defiantly, with a narrowing gaze that locked on Kyra's.

"But... That's the fun of exploring. Unfolding the unknown, and challenge it." Ruby turned around, swaying her tails in a 'follow me' gesture, and as soon as she turned, she began walking toward the destination she intended to go. If @Kyra Vashtana would follow her, was another question.

Her face had flushed slightly at the sudden compliment from the cat-girl. She'd never had her own voice praised, much less told it could be beautiful by any means. Before she could respond to the compliment, however, the red-haired girl had moved on with her explanation, noting that she may know of an old oak that might match the description.

Anything you know is already leagues beyond what I know...clearly. Lead on...oh!

Kyra moved to catch up, realising that Ruby had already headed off, her tails twisting in a motion as she went. Although smaller than Ruby, Kyra's legs carried her to the side of the other, keeping pace as they moved along. She glanced around in continuous wonder at the world, still not entirely used to the beauty it provided.

This place is...amazing. Sometimes I forget just how beautiful it is...at least, when I'm not here.

She kept her words a bit vague, uncertain of the status of the other's status of Lander or Starcalled. Something about the way the individual carried themselves led Kyra to believe they weren't born to this world, but she hated to make assumptions where none should be.

Thank you...by the way. For helping me, it's far kinder than most others have been around here. Well, save a few...but they're like me, I think.

Her eyes shifted sideways to see how the other would react to her comments - whether they recoiled with sudden disgust, or carried onwards without a second reaction, would tell Kyra everything she needed to know about the type of person they were. She was quick to follow the individual, but not oblivious to the danger that could be found in another's presence; especially one that was unknown aside from some brief introductions and shared words.

Exploring the world must be...well, quite the experience. You must've seen some really amazing things in your travels, right?

"It is beautiful, isn't it." Ruby's ears twitched and took a deep breath, casting a glance to @Kyra Vashtana and chuckling as she thanked her. "Don't mention it. Only a monster would leave a cutie alone in the forest." Her expressions then slowly turned a bit more serene, looking straight forward as she continued her march.

"I've seen amazing things, wonderful things... Sad things too." Ruby said, with her hand resting on her pommel, leading them to the path deeper into the forest, venturing through the tall vegetation, and using her dynamism and illusion magic to try and brush them away of their path, trying to give them space to keep going without interruption.

"From what I understood, you are new here, Kyra." She turned to side glance at her, smiling softly. "It isn't hard to get lost in this world of fantasies, especially when we want to escape from there." Where was there? Kyra would know. Or at least Ruby supposed she would, especially since she was speaking in such an enigmatic way, it wasn't hard to guess she was trying to avoid being blatant to it.

Ruby couldn't help but chuckle to it.

"You aren't alone though, you can relax this time. If you get too lost, I will pull you back."

As they pushed forward, it didn't take long for them to reach a darker side of the forest. The treetops were high, and the vegetation was so dense that only dimlight reached them.

A faint fog brushed the air, and the ancient trees that were there created an eerie aura.

It almost felt like they were being watched constantly.

Her march only halted when she was before a giant oak, that prompted her to look up and sway her tails, curious to see if that was the one that would match the poem.

Kyra felt herself ease slightly as Ruby took to conversing, giving a bit of sight into the experience that the Whistle had. As she spoke, Kyra picked up on the way her tone shifted at the mention of sad things. She didn't doubt that there was much beauty in this world, but there was also much...more. She'd seen the way in which she herself was treated by the locals, and heard some of the stories passed on from others. It wasn't hard to imagine some of the horrors that one could witness in a game like this. And to come out with such cheerfulness...sometimes it's not so easy to hide away the pain. Sometimes you have to overcome it.

So...how long have you been at this? You seem-

She had almost said 'wise', before realising that may not be the most applicable descriptor. Her mind halted for a single second, before spitting out a word she felt was more fitting. Something that captured the essence of what Ruby was, and what wasn't being shown to Kyra in the moment.

Experienced...like you've seen a number of wonders in the world, experienced horrors beyond imagination and beauty brewing...like someone out of a storybook from old times. A hero, come to cleanse and help the land...who grows aware of the reality of who they are, and what the world is...and the impossibility of such a task.

She prattled on as they walked, the words simply spilling out as they came into her mind. She wasn't sure if she was over describing something, or if it was truly who Ruby was - but it was the image she was picturing in the moment, and there wasn't any stopping it once it had started.

As Ruby came to a stop before the large oak tree, Kyra felt her head tilt back as she looked upwards into the branches above. The oak was large, larger than anything Kyra had seen in the real world - including the Redwoods of the mainland. It stood out against those around it, in a way that made it seem like the only thing that could match the descriptor in the poem.

Which means...somewhere around here should be a thorn wall...

Her eyes raked over the area, trying to pinpoint anything that looked like it could be thorn wall. Most of the land, however, was open containing little more than flowers and weeds that spread out in every direction. Every direction except...

Not a wall, but a carpet!

She pointed to the right of where they had arrived from, a parallel collection of blueberry bushes running along the forest floor, stretching outwards like a wall on either side corralling a pathway through the woods.

Do...do you think this is the right direction?

She glanced over at Ruby as she questioned aloud, asking the redhaired girl as much as herself in the moment. Behind her, the bushy foxtail swished back in forth in obvious excitement, and her hands clasped the air in front of her; opening and closing in anticipation.

"Effectively, one year and a half, probably?" Ruby guessed. "But the first time I've been in here, has been five years ago. But a month after I had joined it, the access was cut off for four years." The cat girl rose her fingers to emphasize each number she was saying.

"It is kind of cute of you to compare me to a hero. I am not though." She said truthfully. Of course, she wasn't an asshole, and if she could save someone, she would. But she wasn't idealistic, and wasn't making her life being one of helping people and being an inspiration for others. But in the end, she did understand what @Kyra Varyth meant. "Thank you though." She smiled.

Looking around, Ruby allowed Kyra to try to find and come out to her own conclusions, and when she gestured to the bushes, Ruby's gaze narrowed and she pondered about it, with swaying tails.

"I wonder if it is." Ruby's ears perked up, twitching, slowly looking at Kyra and grinning.

"There is only one way to know."

Fiercely gazing at the 'wall', Ruby rushed in, forcing her way past it.

Kyra watched as Ruby made her way over to the small collection of berries. It was far from a wall, in fact, she'd barely call it a hedge if she'd been asked to name the thing. Whatever it was, it didn't stop Ruby from pushing straight through it and off to the other side. Kyra waited a few seconds, just to make sure that there was nothing else in the vicinity that could catch her attention, before following along behind her newfound guide.

Through the Wall of Thistles...if it can even be called that...

She glanced around as she passed through the area, Ruby's red-coloured hair standing out against the otherwise dull greens and browns that made up the majority of the foliage. At first, there was nothing noticeable about the transition - in fact, it looked all the same, except that the oak tree was missing. In it's place stood a set of trees which were bent over slightly, covered in long vines that stretched from the grounds on either side, to the tips of the trees themselves.

Alright...well, that was...do you see anythi-

Kyra stopped as her eyes shot back to the bent over trees once more, looking over the shape of how they connected at their tips. Her eyes widened in sudden realisation, and she felt her right arm wiggling in the air as it tried to both catch Ruby's attention, as well as point at the trees that were creating an archway in the middle of the area.

Ruby...Ruby...Ruby! Arch! Way! Magical? Archway! Do you think it transports us somewhere else if we walk through it?!

Kyra's excitement had gotten the better of her at this point, and she could feel her entire body vibrating as she bounced from foot to foot. Behind her, the fluffy fox tail swung back in forth in a similar manner, the excitement of the moment clear in the way it brushed aside anything in it's path.

Did...did we just find a portal to another...place?!

Her eyes were still locked on the pair of trees as she began walking towards it, her intention of passing through it clear as she came closer and closer. Something about the entire form seemed to call to Kyra, her ears twitching as if picking up some sort of sound around her.

Her eyes darted around, trying to spot every corner of that newfound place before her fellow beastfolk began gesturing at her, trying to catch her attention.

Perking her ears up, she turned to look at the archway of trees, one that was certainly curious, and one that made the whistle hold back a giggle, seeing the excitement of the other as something wonderful and adorable.

Ruby approached from behind, resting her hands on the back of @Kyra Varyth's shoulders and peeking her head right next to the young woman's, looking at what she was approaching with perked up ears, twitching one of the as her tails swayed back and forth in excitement. "Perhaps?" She wondered, turning her head to be face to face with her exploration partner.

"Seems like someone here has a knack to finding things, hm?" She chuckled, leaning in. "Good job." Then, she parted from Kyra, walking next to her and bending to have a closer look to the new discovery.

"Portals are a bit more dangerous. So I would recommend caution, and we should stick together going through it- To avoid to getting both of us in different places because something went wrong with a pattern. It is important that the portal thinks of us as a singularity- At least generally it works like that."
She rose her finger as she explained, hoping to not let Kyra ever fall into a dire trap because she decided to venture through a portal without her group.

Her eyes shifted towards the portal as Ruby explained the necessity to remain together. Kyra had already taken a step towards it, stopping as the other had begun their explanation. It seemed...odd, to Kyra, but she figured there was much in this world she was unfamiliar with. Much that made little sense, until it stopped not making sense.

I'll trust your judgement on this. You've more experience than I in exploration, I think...

She pulled back the foot that had been reaching outwards to the portal, anticipation trying to get her body moving. Her eyes glazed over the portal as she considered it, wondering what lay beyond. She figured it'd be safer, however, to follow the words of wisdom of one whom had been here longer than she - and one who had clearly been involved in this world to a greater depth than Kyra had.

Together, then?

She held out here hand, waiting for the other to take it. She figured the best way to move as one, would be hand in hand - at least, it seemed the most efficient.

Are there...any other surprises I should be prepared for? Things that can, or might happen that...would be best to avoid?

There were many dangers in this world, Kyra had learnt that much in her minimal time here. What she didn't have a lot of experience with, however, was traversing the dangers found within simple exploration - and Ruby's most recent revelations showed Kyra, once more, just how little she knew. It would be far better to take things slow, to learn their possible hazards, and to listen to those who were more experienced than she was.

I'll...follow your lead here, then. As soon as you're ready, take us through. I trust you.

Strange words, to Kyra's ears, considering she'd just met the feline. Still, there was no doubt in her mind - for some reason she trusted Ruby. There's just something about her...

"Just remember that we are together on this, so don't rely completely on me." She chuckled, glancing at the hand offered and nodding.

Taking @Kyra Varyth's hand, Ruby slowly started to move, not to quick, allowing Kyra to have time to back off or to prepare herself.

"From things you should be aware of... Well. Monsters, traps. Other players too." Ruby looked at her with a serious gaze.

"If it is something both of us don't know, it is better to avoid and observe it, and only try to face it if we are sure we can handle it." She explained. "And even when we do, we need to have a plan B to escape if our judgement proves to be wrong."

Upon Kyra's words, Ruby held her hand with a firmer grasp, smiling to the fellow beastfolk. "Of course. I will make sure to not disappoint you. I won't let you get hurt." And with one last tug, she guided them past the arch, wondering what they would meet next, getting closer as they were about to actually go through it, hoping it would get them to the same place.

(Not sure if you had anything planned, but if you didn't, I can try to make something)

The way that Ruby spoke only made Kyra feel more at ease. The redhaired feline had a way of presenting herself as someone trustworthy, all the while ensuring that Kyra was on guard - against threats that she hadn't even considered. Other players? I guess there's PvP in this world, as much as any other major online game, but...well, knowing what you know about it...why? She put the thought aside from another time, nodding towards her companion as she stepped forward with Ruby into the archway. She listed the thought as little more than something else to consider once she wasn't in danger anymore.

The view shifted as they stepped through what was obviously a portal - one invisible to the eye until you entered it, but very clearly leaving behind the forest glade that they had been in mere moments before. Kyra blinked a few times as she took in the sight before her, a small gasp escaping her in surprise at the shift.

Hey Ruby...I don't think we're in the forest anymore...

She couldn't help but giggle after her words, both at how silly they were, as well as a pure happiness at the adventure she was having. It was wonderful in a way that she couldn't describe, and somehow she was sure that she would've been absolutely saddened at having missed out on such an experience.

Thank you...for coming with me through this.

She didn't look at Ruby as she said it, instead taking in their surroundings. Behind them stood the archway - similar in appearance to the one that they had stepped through, but somehow also looking older; as if it had stood here for centuries before either of the two had passed between it. Beyond the archway was a cavern wall that rose far above their heads, tilting back and outwards towards the opening that they had faced when they passed through originally; a teaming mixture of rock and wood beyond the opening.

Shall we...head into the woods? Maybe the temple lays in there...just waiting for us.

She flashed a smile at Ruby before pulling the other forwards slightly, waiting to see if they would hold any reservations about heading into the wood line - the dark coverage almost calling out to the two of them in anticipation.

@Crimson Ruby
I'm 100% not winging this. Totally have plans. 100%.

@Kyra Varyth's giggle made Ruby's ears twitch, turning at her direction as Ruby herself chuckled at the excitement of her companion. "We really aren't." She confirmed, with her eyes glancing over the area, trying to catch anything blatant at first, before the beastfolk's grateful words caught her attention again.

She squeezed the girl's hand, nudging their arms together with a warm smile. "Of course. I love an adventure." Her index rose, resting between the two of them. "And a company too."

Her gaze then turned forward, seeing the eerie space, with the brand new woods just waiting for them to explore it.

Without waiting for long, Kyra was already pulling Ruby, and that prompted a smirk from the cat girl, that hurried her steps up, to walk side by side, hands connecting the duo as they ventured deeper into that strange and curious place.

"Already getting the hang of it, huh? You are the one leading us by now." She hummed, with her other hand resting on the pommel of her jian.

"Since we already passed a layer of secret portals, I doubt the temple will be hiding before any magic... For now, It should be spotted easily... The problem is..." She looked around. "If someone doesn't want us in here..." Her head turned, trying to have a better view of their blind sides.

Kyra led the way through the opening in the cave, glancing about as they went. Rock formations, clear signs of some sort of mountainous pass or underground tunnel surrounded them, giving way only once they passed through what could be considered the entrance - a yawning wide portal of open air against the otherwise cold, dark stone that lay to the sides, above and beneath them - and into what was clearly a forest stretching far and wide. Kyra couldn't help but look upwards and behind, spotting no mountain in sight - simply the opening to the tunnel, and trees around it.

Huh...must be an underground thing then...

She mumbled, more to herself, before turning back to Ruby. The other appeared somewhat reserved, as if expecting a monster to leap out at them at any moment. She, for a moment, felt the desire to pull the other in close in a hug - as if to provide comfort through her very presence. Instead, she smirked and gave a wink towards the more experienced player.

Don't worry Ruby...if you see anything that looks dangerous just give a squeak and I'll chase it off. Or defeat it, if that needs to be done. You're safe with me.

She couldn't hold a straight face as she spoke, and her smirk broke into a bout of laughter that caused her to keel over slightly, staggering her on her feet as she reached with her left hand for support. It took moments, long moments to Kyra, to calm herself enough to be able to stand and talk once more.

In...in all seriousness though...you're right, we should...be careful. Keep an eye, and ear, out for anything dangerous. Or that looks unwelcoming...you know this world better than I do, so I'll follow your lead. And...well, perhaps we'll find exactly what we're looking for...?

She stepped up beside Ruby, waiting for the girl to lead on. Once she did, Kyra made sure to fall into step just a half-pace behind her, as if pretending to follow Ruby's lead in a more literal sense. Even as they walked, the ears atop her head swivelled around in search of any noises that ought not to exist.

What's...

The question died off on her tongue as she spotted the structure in the distance. It slowly shifted into view as they came closer, appearing as if from a fog, or around a corner - not immediately in view, but easily appearing to their eyes.

Ruby's ear perked up, aiming to @Kyra Varyth as she spoke of very bold statements, bringing a faint smile to the crimson cat's lips while she leaned in, with a playful expression coloring her face. "Really?" She nudged their shoulders together, and one of her tails brushed on Kyra's.

"My hero... I feel safe now." The hand on her pommel went to her chest, emphasizing her relief before it went back to its more 'wary' position, nodding at the more serious follow up the girl spoke of.

"Don't worry, I have all my senses working right now. After all, I wouldn't like to miss something interesting." She reassured, with her gaze fiercely locking forward, just as Kyra gave her the lead... And Ruby was objective with it, even if she allowed her pace to give her companion some time to appreciate the unknown surroundings.

They didn't need to hurry a nice adventure.

Yet, what came next was both expected and unexpected, with Ruby's head tilting slightly. "It... Truly is a temple."

Her tails swayed.

"Far more eastern than I would expect from this game." She admitted, glancing to Kyra.

"Shall we?" Ruby gestured, suggesting them to approach.

Kyra nodded as Ruby suggested going in further, her eyes glancing over the area in search of any magical sheep that might have called this place home - instead, she found the place abandoned. At least, it appeared abandoned from her current vantage point. Kyra was surprised to find that she wasn't disappointed at the idea, instead finding it almost more exciting, in a sense, that they hadn't immediately found their goal.

No sheep...I guess that means we need to explore a bit more, doesn't it?

She took her turn to lead Ruby in towards the temple, noticing the small fence that had been weathered away with time, parts of it entirely gone and missing, a collection of posts and small fence boards interlocked in what remained of the remanets. Her eyes passed over the fence, and onto the open fields beyond it, taking in the flowing grass that stood almost knee-high, having had unknown amounts of time to grow undisturbed.

It looks...abandoned, for sure. As if nothing, or no one, has been here in quite some time.

Dozens of meters into the area, the grass suddenly shifted, going from untamed and wild, to neatly trimmed and appearing maintained by someone, or something. The change was stark and caused Kyra to shift as she came to a sudden stop at it's edge, her eyes squinting slightly in the dim light that was filtering down through the trees. Although a collection of candles could be seen in front of the main doors to the temple, they provided little in the way of lighting up the entire area.

Do...you think anyone lives here? It's...well, looks can be deceiving, right?

Even as she spoke, the sound of a ringing bell seemed to call out from the temple itself, soft in nature and low-pitched, striking four times before falling silent. Kyra looked to Ruby with a raised eyebrow, waiting to see what the feline would do in response, uncertain of what to do herself.

Ruby nodded to @Kyra Varyth's remark, and then question.

If their objective wasn't there, the only thing they could do was to keep trying to find it, until they finally managed it.

"It looks like it..." Ruby nodded, then turned to Kyra. "And perhaps it is, unless some magic is making sure this place is well tended, no matter how long it passes. This place could also be not real, thus don't follow the reality... Well. The reality within a virtual reality." She corrected herself at the end, momentarily forgetting the nature of Terrasphere.

The rings, however, made Ruby frown, becoming warier with ears perked and aiming toward the source of the sound.

Her tails swayed in rhythm with the bells, and her gaze narrowed before she looked at her companion again. "I will go first. Prepare yourself, just in case things go south." She warned, and the hand that rested on the pommel reached for the hilt, drawing the jian, allowing its red tassel to billow along with the gentle and elegant unsheathing.
