Kyra's ears perked up at the mention of the possible collection of knowledge not far away. She'd not heard anything about it previously, but now her interest was peaked. The ability to find, and read about things that could make a difference between life and death, was invaluable.

"That library...mausoleum...thing, sounds interesting. I may have to drop by one of these days, when I make my way out in that direction. If I make it out in that direction. There's always so much to do here..."

She listened as Yugam continued, explaining about the threads of fate and their importance. It was an interesting topic, an interesting idea...threads that somehow connected people of importance, people who were somehow connected.

A sudden thought occurred to Kyra as she considered the information that Yugam had stated. Her eyes narrowed slightly as she stared at him, considering it for a moment before speaking her question aloud.

"So...a thread led you here? Does that mean there's someone here who you were connected to, or someone important? Were you expecting to find someone here? Or...did you find someone here?"

Perhaps the thread led him to important events, and not just people. It would explain him appearing right when Kyra needed help with the injured girl, right when she needed someone. It was...far too coincidental, in Kyra's mind.

Yu looked down at his feet for a moment as he pondered how best to answer Kyra's question. He wished it was a simple as finding a person, place or thing. He might've finished his great endeavor ages ago if that had been the case. But no, life was seldom that simple.

"Someone important to me, yeah," the man finally said, looking up again and giving Kyra a sad smile. For a moment, the man's UI flickered, glitching momentarily, replacing the older woman's visage with that of a dark-haired woman, her face buried in her hands, knees drawn up to her chest as her shoulders shook. And then the visual glitch was gone, just as quickly as it had arrived. "They were here once. Gone now."

The man exhaled sharply before standing. "I should get going. Got some more things to take care of. Stay safe, Kyra," the man bade the woman farewell as he turned and began to walk away. He'd taken a couple of steps already when he suddenly stopped and turned to look at the woman. "And take care of yourself."

Stepping back out into the rain, the man pulled his hood over his head again, before looking up into the cloudy sky. The weather showed no signs of changing anytime soon. The road would be muddy, a slog. But, there was no time to waste. Other places he needed to check out still.

As the man started down the road, a small notification appeared in his UI. Opening up the message and reading it, a single corner of the man's mouth tugged back in a faint smile before he clicked the accept button.
