He did not exactly 'want' to go outside his safe little cave, that was the last of his desires as the man walked around somewhat directionless mostly looking for his little companions. He forgot to raise the barricade on the little critters enclosure and now all the young ones had been roaming around making things a game of hide and seek almost and a race against time. The particular critter he was looking after this time had been newborn Whiffle. A small fuzzball that rarely grew up to adult much less teen years due to several bad cards dealt by mother nature during evolution.

Sure their cousins the Red back Whiffle, or an adult whiffle could defend, run, and or hide but the Whiffle newborns suffered. They got born as giant balls of fur that, while they could roll around did not have their claws or senses sharp enough to avoid rolling right into the many creatures that saw them as a nice meal or way to clog their digestion for the coming winter hibernations. A slightly worried gaze would relieve some as a little thonk could be heard close by leading Druid to rush over and see the ball of golden fur trying to go past a tree unable to see around it due to size and bad vision.

"Ha, there you are little one... Now where did your brother and sister go?"

Hand reaching down to gently pick up the baseball sized critter as it would unwrap and slowly climb along the familiar white silk sleeve of it's caretaker to sit on his shoulder. Druid sighing as he would have to keep looking since the little ones did not speak clear enough to allow him to understand. He felt so bad for the little ones who always got born with golden or clear stand out colors for forest and did not learn to control their colors until later on or get other things to help them. The more he thought about it the more he felt truly bad for them and the glaring issue all he could do was protect them until they could do such themselves to help make sure they did not go extinct.

She'd managed to follow the ball of fur towards an open area, curiosity taking her judgement as she wondered what she had just come across. As far as she could tell, it appeared to be some sort of small animal - but seemed to lack any sort of appendages that would allow it to move, let alone propel itself in the manner it had.

"What are you..."

She crossed the open area carefully, reaching for her scythe as it clattered against her hip. She lowered herself towards the ground, slowly approaching the tiny thing even as her eyes traced over the thing, searching for some sort of answer.

"Curious...no sign of legs, or arms...or...well, anything really...aren't you just an odd little thing..."

She sniffed the air, trying to catch its scent as she tilted her head, tail swaying softly behind her as the fox girl was drawn into the mysterious animal that she'd managed to stumble across. Her original purpose forgotten, she settled herself down on the ground, stretching her legs and feet outwards as she stared at the thing in front of her.

"I don't know what you are...but you are super cute. I would definitely take you home with me, if I wasn't worried about how you would survive, or what to even do with you."

Druid would begin scanning the area again while the little Whiffle flattened on his shoulder some more making him reach up with his normal arm to pet the creature while he walked around. When he stumbled out into a clearing to see someone with one of the other siblings. They did not seem on edge about the little critter and there was not much reason to be unless you have been a paranoid or akin to such. Either way he would lightly knock on the tree next to him like a door before kneeling down to scratch the ground with his clawed hand.

"Hello, I don't mean to interrupt but these little ones are not safe in the forest and I'd hope you allow me to get them back to the cave where their mother is so she can protect them."

His tone was mellow, and a small smile was across his face as the little fluff on his shoulder slowly climbed down towards his claw while the other would likely attempt to reach it also. It was one of the few ways they navigated was scratching sounds at this age so the louder the scratch the more they would approach it good or bad thinking it as a parent or siblings. Such was a bit more clear as the third and final one of the siblings rolled out from a bush and started to climb up Druid's outreached arm.

"Forgive me, I'm Druid... And these little ones are called Whiffle, they generally are very shy critters but the young ones love to adventure if given the chance. Before you ask no they don't have individual names yet as the mother did not wish to name any kids that might not make it to the winter."

Her ears twisted and twitched at the sudden knocking sound, her head turning towards it even as the man began speaking. She flitted her gaze between the creautre - somehow still playing in the same spot and undisturbed by this newcomer - and the new arrival, another of the creatures hanging off him like a pet, or friend.

"No trouble at all...they're quite lovely looking little things, although I am curious as to...how they go about, without any sort of arms, legs, or...well, anything really. It's very...curious..."

Almost after the fact, Kyra's ears twitched again as a frown appeared on her face. She slowly turned back to the man - Druid, he'd said his name was? - as she considered what he'd mentioned, almost offhandedly.

"Did you say the mother had chosen not to name them yet? As in they're sentient creatures, that are able to communicate? You can speak with them?"

She was far more fascinated with the discovery than upset, and her frown quickly disappeared as she took on a more thoughtful appearance, her eyes glazing over slightly in a distant expression as she considered the possibilities. As an after thought, she realised that the man had introduced himself, something she'd yet to do.

"I'm Kyra, by the way. Sorry, I got a little bit...lost in thought over the whole thing. It's all rather interesting, to think that...well, that's a discussion for another time. You said you needed to get this one back to safety, right? Do you need help with that? Can I...can I come see where they live?"

Her tail had begun to swish softly behind the fox girl, swaying slightly as her own excitement was beginning to grow. She'd never seen anything like these things, and her fascination at the new was taking over - plus, she had nothing else really planned for the day, so a small excursion would be nice.

Carefully, trying not to disturb the creature - a Whiffle, he'd called it? - she rose to her feet, remaining crouched in the spot she'd just been laying in, waiting to see what the man would say about her request.

Druid could only tip his head slightly hearing all the questions and reactions of the girl. His biggest point of confusion was how she seemed shocked creatures could speak. Even if you don't understand them all things speak or commune with one another is some way or others simply did not hear them. Shrugging it off as he reached for the Whiffle he had with him already to move some of the fur to show the eyes and then moved the fur again to show the little claws and hind legs of it.

"They just have heavy fur coats at a young age to help deal with the fall and winter temperatures. As they get older they can speak a bit better then baby babble though."

Moving to the other Whiffle who arrived to gather them up while showing the girl an easy way to get one to approach. He moved slow, kneeling and tapping the ground with a sharp object, in this case his clawed hand before moving his other arm to that spot as it balled up to roll over then unrolled itself to slowly climb up. Sure you could pick them up also but this was how he liked to teach them he was a friend not a hostile creature. Looking to see if Kyra would bring the third sibling along, and if she did not he would walk over to repeat the motion to get them all together on his shoulders.

"I don't mind you coming along to see the cave they growing up in, but you might want to have some food on you... The main protector of the cave is a defensive one less you bribe it for entry or know it since childhood ha-ha."

With that Druid would start to lead the way back to his campsite 'cave' that he simply did not feel a reason to name as it was only for the fall and winter seasons since he had to move around to tend to many animals in the forest year round in different spots. If Kyra had one of the Whiffle with her or was watching them on Druid she would see them flatten out and change fur color to try and match where they had been resting on. Not well and only for a brief while at a time but to Druid it was a welcome sight to know they tried.

She watched in fascination as the other Starcalled knelt down, knocking on the ground in an odd way before rolling themselves closer, eventually collecting the creature - the Whiffle - and placing it upon his shoulder. Kyra had almost considered collecting the other creature, before deciding that she didn't want to intrude. This individual clearly had some sort of connection with the creatures, and she was an outsider here. It was best to allow them to maintain...well, whatever it was that they had here.

"Oh! I'd love to come along and see...hmm...food, I'm sure I've got something here...is there anything specific that they eat? Oh, are they herbivores, or carnivores? Or maybe omnivores? I mean if they're omnivores, then I have a few options...."

She began digging through her backpack, digging out a few odd varieties of meat-based substances, and some sort of plants that she had picked up along the way. She wasn't sure if any of it would be acceptable, but she offered it in presentation to the other player, a slight smile on her face.

"Do you think they'll like any of this, or should I maybe hunt for something else? I want to make sure I make a good first impression, wouldn't want them thinking I'm an intrusion or bother!"

She followed along behind the other, listening intently as they travelled further into the area. She'd considered some of what he had said earlier, coming back around to the topic as they travelled.

"So...you said they communicate right? Like actual words, not just...err...animal sounds? Like, I know everything has a way of speaking to one another sort of thing, but...can these little guys actually talk? Like, parrots, or ravens, or something like that?"

"Oh right... I forget that was something the mastery gives people... Um the Whiffle don't speak human tongue. The guardian of the cave does however albeit crudely and very basic. They eat mostly plants and vegetables but do eat meat every so often so anything works."

Druid spoke back to some of the questions while he tried to recall the proper way back to the cave. Sure he could just make the more common Bee line to it, but if the creatures that roamed those parts had been active still he would likely loose a Whiffle or his other arm or his final life so chose not to risk such things. Part of him began to wonder why the girl was interested in seeing the creatures but shrugged off any nefarious objectives as he stopped just outside the clearing before the cave.

"Wait here, I'll make sure they don't attack on sight... Or they will come out themself..."

"Who follow Druid, friend or foe?"

The voice coming from above the two as Druid pointed upward towards the small Rabbit standing on two legs in the tree. Sure they did not appear dangerous but as the little creature no taller then a Faerin vanished and appeared between Druid and Kyra it was clearly fast and ready to protect the less then combat able player all the while pointing at the girl and her weapon. Druid mouthing 'better you reply then me' as he moved a bit into the clearing and the rabbit back peddled with him.

"Druid no friends, who is beast-kin!"

A light sigh escaping Druid's mouth as the little rabbit did not give the girl a chance to reply before questioning them again and taking a combat stance. Clawed paws ready in martial arts stance while some sparks stood their fur up to make them look more dangerous. Druid chuckling a little as no matter how often he saw it remined him of a puffed up kitten as he set the little Whiffle down so they could roll into the cave hearing the scratching of their mother calling them back.

This thing is adorable. Absolutely adorable. The thought crossed her mind even as her hand had twitched slightly towards her scythe, before she'd managed to quash the movement. Staring at it, she responded slowly, trying to figure out what was best to say here. Clearly, she was likely to appear related to things that may or may not often hunt these poor things, which already put her on a bad footing with them, as far as she was concerned.

"Hi...my name's Kyra...I'm here with...err...Druid, because I wanted to see what your...family?...I think they're family...are like. I'm always curious to learn about new things, and well..."

She glanced over at Druid, before continuing. She wasn't sure how well her introduction was going, and if this thing was as hyped up as it appeared, well...

"...well, I want to make sure the wondrous things in this world are protected and cared for. Druid seems to have some investment in that, so I want to make sure they have everything they need to properly help...and if not, see what I can do to make sure they can...properly help, that is..."

It wasn't a lie, but it certainly wasn't why she had come in the first place. She'd come because of the cute fluffy thing she'd seen. Somehow, though, she doubted that admitting that would be a good thing - and besides, she did want to make sure they were safe. That much was true, at least. Even if it wasn't the original purpose.

"Not family, fellow other realm travelers. Druid nice, protect life so protect life."

"Translation, they come from the realm Faerin did. As for the second part I tended their wounds and lost an arm protecting them so they feel the need to defend and help me until they pay it forward even though I have said a number of times it was not needed..."

Druid moved his clawed hand over to pull it off to show it was fake and then set it back so he did not have to carry it around in his other hand while he went into the cave. The rabbit-folk reaching a paw out and likely expecting something from the look it gave and how it's nose twitched slightly. Druid would return after a little bit with a few of the cave's residents to show to Kyra seeing as the others had been to shy and wanted to be left alone.

The first that would likely be noticed would be the small furry Cat? that would fly past the rabbit and land on Kyra's head trying to play with her ears while it curled around the other. The second staying near Druid's side was a Bat-like bi-pedal creature holding a stick sword at the ready. Lastly was the grown up version of the Whiffle that looked only slightly different in size but could see the legs and eyes along with the fur shifting like a chameleon scales would.

"The little one who is trying to sleep on your head is a moth-cat. then you have the grown up Whiffle and then Whisker is right here."

"Druid names bad."

"Well I don't have your technical names or a UI to look it up so SORRY if I go basic names until I know more Sparkpaw!"

Kyra's eyes drifted towards the false arm, watching as the injury beneath was revealed - clearly long ago healed, and yet still showing minor amounts of scar tissue. Her attention focused on the injured area, lingering even as the prosthetic was returned to its normal position, the injury covered up once more. She considered the implications, wondering if she should mention anything. There wasn't anything she could do about it, especially after this long, yet somehow...

"They're...kind of entertaining, in a way. Fun to have around, and definitely...well, I don't know how to describe it. Lovely? They're...they're awesome."

The words weren't coming out right. She could only hope that the other would understand what she was trying to intone; it wasn't that they seemed like good pets - they were far too intelligent, far too personable. Her ears twitched as the one atop her head continued trying to play with her ears, Kyra listening as Druid introduced the small group of creatures. She smiled as the one called Druid out on their naming abilities, the helper seemingly flustered by the admonishment.

"Well, if you want...we can look at new names? Nothing says you have to keep the very first ones you're given...although you don't want to change them too often, either."

She smiled at the creature, before giving a twinkling expression towards Druid, wondering how the other would take her comment. The smile faded as something he'd say strayed through her mind again. Wait...did he say there was no UI...?

"Kyra, Offering!"

"You could be a bit more polite about it Sparkpaw..."

Druid chimed while the little rabbit moved to point at Kyra, small sparks dancing off the frame of the creature as it looked up angrily at Kyra moving the pointed hand to once more be an open hand as if expecting the offering now not later. The mothcat moving to fully cuddle and rest while the adult Whiffle moved to roll back into the cave to deal with it's young. Whisker staying near Druid tapping the fake arm and looking it over some more as if that was the first time it had seen it come off considering it could move freely also.

"Does not nice! Deity as like!"

"This is why I warned about having it ready I guess... Sparkpaw is cranky when not fed. Why trust strangers to bring them food I will never know..."

Druid shrugged as he took the arm off again and set it beside Whisker who would keep messing with it and treating it like maybe dead animal poking and lifting it carefully. Druid took time to think over what Kyra had said about the names, he himself did not feel any had been wrong to need changing. The Whiffle reminded him of a wiffel ball, a fuzzy almost tennis ball that made a whistle or scratching sound as it moved like they did. Whisker was a rat-bat hybrid and mostly communicated with the others by twitching it's whiskers.

Then there was sparkpaw, who was named such because they generated electricity by rubbing their paws together to use as defense or combat when pursued. Thinking more he named the moth-cat because it had moth wings and eyes with the body or build of a cat. Sure he know most animals had more technical names like a cat being Feline or moth being Lepidoptera but Lepidoptera-Feline or Lepline or Letera if you used the normal scientific name style but he did not know the father or mother and the other choice was far to long to say over and over.

Her attention at the other Starcalled individual was interrupted as the creature before her suddenly demanded an offering. She giggled, as Druid added his own commentary, explaining the precariousness of the situation in their own way, but also prompting Kyra to move.

Reaching into the pouch on her right hip, she pulled forth a collection of jerked meats, some dried berries and assorted fruit pieces, as well as a collection of what appeared to be plant-based sections. She spread her hands before the creature, smiling at it as she presented the options.

"Would any of these make a good offering? You can take whatever pleases you, or all of it if you're so inclined to do so. Consider it an offering of good will, and hopeful friendship!"

She let her eyes slide to Druid as she spoke, wondering about what the individual had stated about the UI. She couldn't help but wonder if he was somehow locked, stuck in this world now. She wanted to approach, to ask, but wasn't even sure where to start.

Once the creature had taken its choice of the selection, Kyra straightened, before glancing around. There was a lot to take in here, and she wasn't entirely sure where to start. Deciding there was no immediate need, she settled herself into a seated position near Druid, before trying to strike up a conversation.

"How long have you been looking out for the creatures here? It seems like you're well connected to them, so you must spend a fair amount of time here...which, well, some would say is unusual for a Starcalled."

She had no idea if they would pick up on the vagueness of her questioning, but waited regardless - if nothing else, she would get some interesting insight into the other's situation, and possibly learn a bit more about them, and the beings here.

Druid was about to try and stop Kyra from offering them all but Sparkpaw moved quicker then he could interject. The little rabbit gleefully hopping a little to take the different foods and rush off into the cave. The only good to come from offering so much was the rabbit had to brush their fur against Kyra's arms to gather it all up so the soft fur was revealed with a small shock but as Druid sighed he would reach into his bag to get a small carrot to eat himself and offer another to Kyra.

"Give the mouse a cookie it will ask for milk... As for how long, it sort of varies based on who your asking I'm tending for. The oldest resident of the cave is still an egg but has been moving a bit as of lately so fingers crossed they hatch in the summer should I survive the winter... Then there is Sparkpaw who has been here with me for three years. Followed by Whisker who only been here a year. Moth-cat just showed up a few weeks ago, and Whiffle I was only made aware of by Sparkpaw a few days ago running from the little ones."

"Was not running! Getting reinforcements!"

Sparkpaw returned just to hear the call out and had to retort making Druid laugh a little at the choice of words. He very clearly recalled Sparkpaw running and crying for help as the little ones clung to her shoulders and back while the parent chased her as best it could due to being weak from the whole ordeal but chose not to tell the full story for the sake of not getting another gut punch. That said he could only tip his head some as it dawned him the nature of the question before placing two and two together.

"Oh you are asking more the day count, but I guess the times still line up. Been stuck in game since third death of getting Mauled by a winter claw. Ten of ten would NOT recommend meeting one."

Druid continued to throw hints out, suggesting that he had suffered from his three deaths. The mention of not surviving the winter caught Kyra's attention, wondering how one could be worried about such a thing, when they could simply log out, or head into town. She had just opened her mouth to ask such a thing, when the other Starcalled admitted to exactly what her mind had been wondering on - and for a moment, she remained still, the ears atop her head upright while her mouth continued hanging open.

Slowly, with careful effort, she closed her jaw. She wasn't sure what to say, to offer. Apologise? For what? She hadn't caused his deaths, or trapped him in the game? Her condolences? The individual wasn't dead, not yet at least. Although some would argue that he might as well be. His physical body is, at least. Whatever you're speaking with...it's just the remainder of whomever once played this game.

"Do...do you regret it? Getting trapped in here, I mean? Everyone always talks about how horrible it is, how they try to avoid it - to stay alive at all costs, and that they don't think about the repercussions of what could happen...but I don't believe most of them. I think a lot of them are terrified, of the thought of dying. Of being stuck in here forever..."

She fell silent as she considered her own situation. She didn't think she was scared. She loved this world, almost a little too much, if you asked some indiviudals. In many cases, some would say she already acted like the UI-locked individuals here.

"Sometimes...sometimes I wish that I was locked in here. It's not that it's better than what's out there, but...it's different, you know?"

She glanced at Druid, wondering if the other player would be like minded in her approach to the world. They certainly showed an affinity for the natural environment. Ooohhh. Druid, I get it!

"Not much to regret... Each death I've had in the game so far was protecting some animal or person. Every injury or near death between them was no different... My whole life has sort of been that way ha-ha... I tend to stop thinking about myself if someone else or something else needs help. if I make it out with just a few injuries I count myself lucky nowadays.

Back when I could still go back and forth to the real world was tricky because I had lost an arm in the real world and taken a number of injuries leaving me either in a lot of suffering or able to endure it enough to keep helping my siblings and parents. I had made sure to give them all a proper goodbye in a video when the doctors told me one injury I had could end my life if I kept moving about as much as I was so there is not exactly any 'missed words or goodbyes.' to be spoken...

Plus being trapped here is not all that bad, sure it has a few more downsides then what we call the real world but if you don't think to much on the world we once could return to this place is not exactly 'fake' I guess would be a good way to describe it. You can still grow old, find love, enjoy the moments, struggle at times, move past some broken heart or another, make friends, all that so only things that are really missing are just technology and some things like that but you get magic and creatures and the sort to make up for it...

I started to ramble Ha-ha, Overall I think at the end of the day when I place the life I had before the game, and the life I have now on a scale it evens out. Yes I miss things, but I'd also hate to give up the things I have found here to fill those holes. Sorry... Noticed I start rambling then just keep on going... There is a reason I sort of avoid people... Tend to talk their ears off about random things and the sort..."

Druid took a moment to catch his breath finnaly, scratching the back of his head as he nervously chuckled taking in the fact he just about gave a speech when asked a question he could have simply gave a yes or no to and explain just the main things. But that was not exactly the guy he was or is. He loved to think, loved to talk about his thoughts, and at times rambled forgetting to give others a chance to chime in or stop him. Moving to get his other arm back as he watched Whisker run back into the cave hearing something he himself did not.

Kyra sat silently, her ears gently twitching, and her tail softly swaying behind her as she watched intently the expressions of the other individual. She could see a collection of emotions there, signs of loss, of gain and so much more. It was like dealing with some of her patients, the ones who...Who don't matter right now...this man does, and he needs your focus.

He'd stopped speaking, looking slightly embarrassed, likely at the fact that he'd allowed himself to monologue so much. Kyra smiled in return, trying to reassure him through her own focus, her own expressions, that she hadn't considered it negatively.

"I guess...when you look at it in a certain way, there's nothing truly...bad, about being here. Permenantly, I mean. Some people have a lot to live for in the real world - the world outside Terrasphere, I mean. Some people, like you and I, have more to live for in here. People, things..."

A quick gesture towards the creatures around them, signifying their presence and purpose towards her continued commentary.

"...friends. In all shapes and sizes. I've considered it since I first arrived here, and, well...I think this is as much real, as much home, to me as the real world is. I don't know if I'd be sad to be here for the remainder of my life. Which is not to say that I rush towards it, there's no desire to find myself locked away, driven to one death just to live a different life. But..."

She felt the edges of a blush coming on, and she stared at the ground in front of her as she looked for the right words, the right expression for what she was trying to say. It wasn't that she wanted to run away from the world, or escape anything. She was happy enough in the real world. Lonely, maybe. But happy enough. It was simply that this world...

"...this world offers something else. A fresh beginning, new opportunities. A chance to matter, to actually make a difference. And not in the normal television, or video game way of being the hero. But rather, in the small things. In helping the ones who are often overlooked, who don't get the help they need because they aren't some path to glory...that's why I keep coming back. Why I spend so much time here."

She grinned at Druid as she finished her own story, her own ideals. She wasn't sure how they aligned with his own - he played the part of his name rather well. She only hoped that it showed a likeness with his own thoughts, his own views of this world - and the fact that it wasn't a loss, in any way.

"If that is how you look at things, then the real world can also provide such. Sure it might be harder to reach those people in need, but the matter and ways exist there also... So, in my personal words I'd not count the real world a far shot from making something or making a difference there while you still can... So many people feel everything has been done over there, but forget it is not always a major change that sparks the fire of change but the simplest of acts."

Druid smiled before he would take a moment to click his tongue to call the moth-cat off Kyra's head noticing she was not getting to move her ears as much as it seemed she would have liked. The flying cat simply moving from one spot to the next landing inside the cave somewhere leaving the two players alone outside of it as Druid walked to go get some rocks to roll and act as seats to make sure they properly rested as it would be a long walk for them, or at least him with where he still needed to go next.

"With the perks you have, the chances you have, don't just worry about those in the game. There are people like me who can help those here and others like me or stronger and better at doing it that can't help those of the real world anymore. Just the small things go a long way with some people. I had one homeless person I allowed to take my shoes and an outfit and it helped them get a job, Last I heard before I got trapped in here they also had a house and had been paying the kindness forward since.

The world needs more people willing to help total strangers not for fame or glory or renown but the simple fact of doing it and knowing it matters to that person. Sure sometimes that help falls on deaf or blind or worse make them expect it... But you won't know until you make the first step... and I think I have officially gone off topic on my own tangent ha ha... What had we been talking about?"

Druid scratched the back of his head as he chuckled nervously. He REALLY needed to focus more on the topic and NOT going off and just keep going in that direction.

The small cat-like creature leaped from Kyra's head at the call, leaving her to consider Druid's words without any distraction. She'd been doing all that, out in the real world, helping those in need. Daily, for years now, more years than she cared to remember. Her expression twitched, as an appearance of annoyance drifted across it, then disappeared again. Too many years, perhaps...

"You're right...in a way. There's still people in the real world that need help - I see them every day. I think...I think the issue I find, is that they always need help. Not the ones like your story, who break free, given the chance. Those ones are the miracles, the lucky ones who just needed a boost to go forth. Those ones are the ones I...we...work for. But they're so few and far between."

She gave a soft sigh, before helping Druid with the rocks, shifting them into place before settling onto it. Leaning forward, she rested her jaw on her hands, staring at the ground for a moment as she considered her own point. It wasn't that they were disagreeing - not really. And yet, they hadn't come to an agreement either.

"When...you work with individuals who are at their lowest in life...those with mental illnesses, those with drug addictions, those who can't be left alone for more than an hour without worry about overdosing...I think it just drags you into this black view of the world outside. That there's no hope - because you can't see hope for those you interact with all the time. You want to help them, to see them succeed. But you know that one day, soon, you're going to get that call. And that'll be the end of it."

She leaned back, looking at Druid. She wasn't sure if the other would understand - she wasn't sure she wanted him to truly understand.

"I haven't seen that in this world. There's darkness, no doubt about that. There's chaos, death, horror. But...there's always hope. Always the hope that things will get better, no matter how dark they are at this specific moment. Always the hope that if you can't fix it yourself, someone will come around and fix it for you. That's something that doesn't exist in the world out there, for many."

She fell silent again, considering the differences. Sometimes she wondered...

"I hate to be the rain cloud, but the same issues you describe exist here also. People drawn in by drugs, people who lost everything to a rogue or rampaging monster, people so consumed with revenge they don't think strait... If all you do is look at those storm clouds you won't really ever see the silver lining or that eventually the storm will pass."

Druid adjusted his arm some as it would begin to click and move as he needed it. One good thing in his storm cloud of losing the arm as getting the prosthetic that worked thanks to magic but needed time and energy to recharge. Using it though as he would get an apple from his bag and start to cut into it, the man made it clear he had little to no combat use for it and it was purely to help with everyday life or things going on where he lived. As he took a slice on one finger to eat he would speak again after it.

"About half a day's walk north-west of here there are two such people and four such creatures. One lost his family and is always making trouble for others, another is addicted to drugs and spends anything they are given for more despite having nothing else. But where is the good in mentioning the lost fights if not to only remind oneself the fighting is never over for you or them?

If you chose to stop helping people because you feel the bad outcomes will always outweigh the good then you may need to take a break from it to re-center yourself. Yes someone just needs a shove from other people, but to feel that is on you, or to feel, no matter the help you give it will turn up bad is terrible for yourself. If I blamed myself for all the creatures I failed to protect or save, I'd likely never had it in me to save Sparkpaw.

'We are only defined by the actions of our final moments, and the actions we chose to make matter' is how I think the old quote goes. But to be honest all that makes little to no sense to me ha-ha. I just do what I can where and when I can, if it helps someone great and if not I know not to let it bog me down. But overall I don't think I can keep talking about all that without letting the memories of my own failures ruin the taste of my food so I'd like a topic change if that is alright.~"

She nodded in response, her own desire to continue the topic matching Druid's. It was never a tasteful ideology, and she had no intent to argue with another about it - no matter the difference of opinions. She glanced at the creatures around her, contemplating another question.

"So...where do you stay? Do you have a residence somewhere around here? A home that you return to during the nights? Perhaps somewhere in a nearby town?"

She stressed the final word, wondering if the other individual could give her some sort of direction. She'd stumbled upon the area, mostly through accident, as she was trying to get somewhere else - a relatively common occurrence that she was starting to notice. Really should consider buying a map, or something...

"Or...do you reside here, with your friends that you look out for? I assume there must be a town nearby that you get supplies from, at least? You don't look like you're going without the bare necessities here - no offence meant, you just look...well, you look fine."

She'd bumbled again, her commentary bordering on questionable. She only hoped that the other would recognise that she wasn't trying to be offensive, and was truly attempting friendly communication - which was just failing, immensely.
