_____The region was that of a horror movie in the wake of the annoyed Demoness. Dark magic cracked the air around her. Corrupt and animancy magic deformed anything it touched twisting the very laws of reality as screams echoed out from the heart of the dense blue smoke. Another group tried to 'deal' with the rumored roaming Demon that got past the north guards and yet another group had been left a fixture in her path to show she was not so easily taken down. Black clawed hand reaching out to the last survivor of the group who trembled at the touch pleading for mercy.

"Mercy? You chose to seek ME out, chose to attack without even trying to gauge the threat level of the one you faced? Despite the others falling you and the others KEPT fighting, now when it is only you to expect mercy?~ This is the exact flawed nature of you mortals I swear. But worry not, I have not killed any of your friends, you will even get to see them soon enough.~"

_____Darkness slowly walked past the figure, hand tracing the cheek as magic started to rip into them causing screams of pain. She did not kill any of her prey, no that was a mercy she would never give any soul other then someone who could pose a threat if they got stronger under her thumb. But as the figure that was one human-like was morphed by Dark magic, Corruption magic, Animancy, and soul magic there would be nothing left of the former person that had approached like all the others. Turning only slightly to face the small group of malformed creatures she had raised and gave a dismissive wave and words to them as she kept walking.

"Imprinted in those rush and sloppy minds is a location. Go seek it out and await my return. Should you make it there I will find you worth giving a more... solid role in the chess game to come. Failure to reach there before I return will result in remaining as you are for even in this form should be enough to do such a simple task. Now go... I have someone to go meet."

_____Darkness waved her hand again as the abominations howled and started to rush towards the assigned location. The demoness on the other hand was here in the beginner region to seek out a rumor. Somewhere along the 'villain' network some might call was a so called 'fairy queen' who had been up to trouble taking landers and some of the UI-locked players into her web. Sure to Darkness if they stayed here they would likely lack ambition of a greater scale, but to her with the right tap could have them a useful aid in her own plans or a pawn in the grand game the tops had been playing.

"That said though, finding someone in this forest is a pain as is, add on the fact nobody worth me coming out to visit would just be sitting around with a sign over their head 'we are here'... least not for long times..."

_____Darkness would turn as she spoke looking at the path she had carved only moments prior. nature itself was used to attack, once lively trees now akin to black tendrils of anti-life and plague. Waving as she cleaned up her mess and kept walking. She did not want to be long in this task. She still had other to go check in with including her 'Little Lust' and 'Little Envy'. Sure if this panned the way she was expecting she would be able to add 'Pride' to the list but as heels tapped to decayed earth that would return to life as the foot moved away the Demoness was not holding her breath. Was luck gonna shine?

It had been a while since she had wandered into Eastern Brisshal. It was not her domain, that was far, far, to the west, past Vintergard. But it made for a good place to reminisce now and then. She had learned from a mixture of knowledge gained from the player's world and from Linsday's memories that there were people called 'serial killers' who often returned to the scenes of their crimes to enjoy replaying them. She mused on that thought for a moment, perhaps thats what she was doing. She wasn't sure. Not that it really mattered, nor did she really care, but it was a curious and transient thought.

She drifted among the trees, passing a bandit fortress and stopping for a moment as a group of players stealthily approached it. Her lip twitched and her glowing pink eyes glanced up at the guards manning the walls, unaware. Wouldn't it be fun to- no. They were too weak to be of any entertainment yet. Watching them die in a half-baked attempt at destroying the fortress was boring too. She left them to their devices, they would learn and understand what they were up against soon enough. Instead she drifted away, her glowing body flitting amongst the trees while a pair of corrupted Faerin followed her duitifully.

She had just passed the campsite that Attia had once used in her early days when another corrupted Faerin, this one having gone out to scout through the forest for curiosities, darted into view. It's eyes were wide with excitement.

"Lady! Lady! A demon is here! Demon demon! Players and bandit, they changed! Obeyed her!" It squeaked with delight, clapping its hands madly.

Ishtar canted her head to the right, "A demon? Changing them? Strange. Is it a player?"

"I do not know mistress. She did not let her victims speak long..." The faerin admitted shamefully.

Ishtar sniffed, "Coward, you ran away didn't you? Too afraid to ask questions?"

"Too powerful m-mistress... s-scary..." The wretched creature squeaked.

"More powerful than me?"

The creature fell silent and looked away. Ishtar raised an eyebrow and then smiled. Oh, this could be a lot of fun. She nodded to the two corrupt faerin bodyguards and they drew in closer before she gestured to the cowardly wretch that had fled instead of gathered more information. "Lead me, dearie, don't disappoint your mother again. Understood?"

The creature nodded hurriedly and darted back into the trees, she quickly followed, flashing amongst the leaves like a glowing-white ghost. It was only when she heard the shouts, screams, and sensed the corruption in the air that she slowed a little, her eyes twinkling with delight. What fun! How could someone so strong not yet be on her radar? Perhaps there was more that she simply did not know? She should get out more like this, lingering in her lair had consequences it seemed.

When they arrived within some range of the person in question, Ishtar turned to her faerin and raised a casual hand. The gesture had only one meaning. Do not interrupt or be rude to this person and stay within sight as to not raise their hackles. Threatening a powerful person was a good way to end up dead. Ishtar darted through the trees in the direction of the strange being and after a moment slowed to a stop near a small clearing of destruction. She landed on a barely-living tree, her feet touching the bark and causing it to wilt and freeze over.

Ishtar looked upon the black-clad woman, her own white-as-snow body glowing bare besides the whisps of silk that floated around her.

"Hello dearie, I daresay I don't think we've met before. My name is Ishtar, may I have yours?"

_____Darkness did not turn to face the approaching group, hand waving the air as she slowly inhaled and licked the air to get a rough read that like many others who approached her this day it was not really needed to give them her direct focus. She could gather two ideas as to what was happening or rather about to as the demoness kept fixing the damage she did to the area with a dulled focus. A quick dismissive wave to send a signal to something as she turned as the woman arrived and spoke.

_____Darkness did not respond right away, taking the moment to look 'Isthar' over as the woman or rather Faerin was rather tall compared to most of her kin least as far as the Demoness had met. She also was not lacking in any physical fields making the Demoness hum lightly as she admired her for a bit and would then give a small hand gesture that normally would accompany a bow but the Demoness did not lower her head for no one.

"My name is Darkness, Though many come to call me Mistress, goddess of taboo, or some combination of those. I don't much care for names so long as it does not come from a place of disrespect I allow most. Judging from those you have nearby you are the one I was looking for, Fairy queen Isthar I presume?~"

_____Darkness spoke mostly from a cold and heartless tone, but when she spoke 'fairy queen' the air grew cold and her tone was the cause. The demoness hated royalty and if the woman agreed to that name they would already have a strike against them, though it would just cancel out the point she had gained for showing up and looking lovely but Darkness would not openly say or show this. Moving her hand as Darkness made two thrones across from each other and waved a hand to the other as she sat down.

_____Neither looked to be made by a sane mind, the dark magic coursing around unearthed bones to 'cushion' them and it was clear Darkness spared no expense making her seat more pronounced then the one intended for Isthar. The Demon had been walking a while and preferred talks to be held while seated and with tea, but she did not bring tea today so just a comfy seat would have to do. if Isthar was smart and aware enough the chair also gave off Corrupt, spirit magic, and Hemomancy.

"Please, have a seat. I don't much like conversations held while standing nor do I enjoy looking up to people, far more fun to look down if I'm honest.~"

_____Darkness spoke, and while it seemed neutral it was also a threat, she did not much care if the woman preferred to stand, or float, or drift while she spoke. The Demoness was not here to make friends unless Isthar proved more useful left on a long leash or none at all. If the woman could not tell making Darkness mad was a quick mistake then she travel all this way for nothing. Sure she made the chair in the event Isthar proved too ambitious and needed a 'adjustment' but so long as the two got along she felt no need to turn a peaceful chat into a domestication.

"Oh I will also let this be out in the air in the name of fair play in this time of peace. That chair has a lot of magic built in and if I dislike anything you say I might use it against you.~ But that should not happen as I would hate to see that lovely face twisted in agony unless it is preferred?~"

_____Darkness was interested to see how the woman would react to the information, Far as Darkness knew it was uncommon for Demons to be polite and warn people of any plans but a byproduct of a strong soul being the base of her existence was having to deal with some 'mortality' and 'fairness' Moving to lean back in her seat as the conversation that could either unite two dangerous forces, or start a three way war was about to take place. Darkness was thrilled to know the outcome already.
