Well that was job number one done. That left just one more to tackle. And boy was he glad Brutus and Azykia were coming too. Honestly, Yu wasn't sure if he and Yuliya would be able to bag their quarry on their own. Personally, Yu would've preferred logging off and going to get some food. Or sleeping. But, the little demon had summoned him, and his desire to not be responsible for the death of a child had compelled him to answer.

Waiting by the edge of the camp, for the other two to arrive Yu decided it might be a good idea to check in with his younger companion, especially in the aftermath of the spore cloud. "Feelin' better now?" the man asked her, placing a gentle hand on her shoulder only so she knew where he was.

The blind girl turned her head halfway towards Yugam to acknowledge his hand and sentiment and offered a polite smile. By now, she had already dried off almost completely. "Indeed I am. Thank you... Yu, was it?" She giggled a bit as she conjured a comb to brush through her hair for what was now the fourth time. She had to, now that it was so dry. Otherwise it might frizz and get tangled, and with hair as long as hers, that was almost like having a crippled limb. "I'm not quite as certain as to what happened during our run-in with the my-co-nids, but that we all worked together so well was appreciated."

Her eyes half-lidded as she gave a kind smile in the vague direction of Yugam, though unable to truly tell where his face was. "I thank you for being exactly as distant as you've been thus far. This next outing, I'll be in your care, so please show me more of the same, would you?"

Brutus would find his way to the edge of the fucked up camp, looking over Yu and Azykia as he slung his borrowed shotgun over his shoulder. He desperately missed his canon, and really needed to get onto rebuilding it. It would help if all of this clean up would allow him to take care of his own business and not the business the world needed him for. He would engage the soft glow of body warming to light himself up for Azy to see as he gave them each a wave.

"Fancy running into you guys in a place like this. So, Slimodiles huh?" He would ask, opening his UI. "Sounds like...fun." His gaze would shoot up to them as he crushed the UI in his palm. "You gonna be good for this? Yu said something along the lines of you've already been fighting, I hope you're not gonna be too tired to punk some sort of scaley fuck?"

DEMON LORD YULIYA THE UNSTOPPABLE!​

Of course this child was the last to arrive, despite the fact that she had practically harassed Yugam until he agreed to journey out with her in defeating her arch nemesis. Which was pretty much anything that she could beat up without getting in trouble.

When the fox's small feet had finally dragged into the camp area. She adjusted her gaze on the group; hands naturally falling right on her hips, the kind of attitude filling her body that would be part of any super evil villain in any Disney movie.

With a toothy grin Yuliya made her presence known. "I see you've hired some extra help, Minion Yu. Introductions are in order." The girl didn't stop dragging herself forwards until she stood a few feet in front of the boy. Her gaze shifting across the company, "I am Demon Lord Yuliya the Unstoppable!" Then came a pause, in the attempt to make sure no one would begin to make fun of her before finishing the introduction. "You're turn." Yuliya was eager to embark on this quest; and usually whenever she called people her minions they would complain. Her excitement had no time for such tedious events, bringing her to be more respectful than usual as she was addressing the two strangers in the party.

"Indeed I am. Thank you... Yu, was it?" The man nodded in response, giving a small smile before remembering that the girl couldn't actually see him make any such gestures. It only took a brief moment for him to amend his slight lapse in judgement with a soft squeeze of the girl's shoulder.

"I dunno, I think you'll be the one taking care of me," the man half-joked with a soft chuckle. "That was a pretty impressive show you put on for us." Yu had the very distinct feeling that the girl really didn't need anyone watching out for her, not at her skill level at least. She made it very clear she could hold her own, even without her sight.

Soon enough, Brutus joined the two as well, loud and boisterous as ever. "Yeah, we're good to go," Yu answered the man. The poor fungus' didn't even know what had hit them. Between Azykia's buffs, his and Toko's cover, and Maddy turning them all into swiss cheese, it couldn't have gotten much easier. "We pretty much alt-f-foured the myconids, so no swea-."

"I see you've hired some extra help, Minion Yu. Introductions are in order," a voice declared, interrupting the man at the end of his speech. Yu couldn't help but close his eyes and let out a quiet sigh as Yuliya was, of course, the last to arrive. Despite being the one who had wanted this to happen in the first place.

"We'll be in each other's care, then." She concluded with a soft giggle.

She smiled just a bit more and continued to brush her hair as the heated aura of a familiar man strode into view. With her eyes closed, she smirked as she continued to brush out her long hair carefully. "Brutus-san. As silver-tongued as ever, I see." With another soft giggle, she opened her eyes to look up at him. "I'm quite fine, as you can see." Recently washed, dried, and currently brushing out her hair, the girl looked more like she had just finished a spa day than a skirmish.

Azykia could only vaguely look in the direction of this voice that had appeared and continue brushing out her hair as the other girl designated her carryover party member as her minion. The blind one let out a giggle as she heard Yu sigh in response, so her own introduction was easy enough to do with a polite smile on her face.

"My name is Azykia. I'm a Silver-rank Adventurer, and I am blind. I also cannot smell or taste anything that isn't magical, so please bear this all in mind as we continue." She gave a curtsy, but instead of grabbing the sides of her yukata, she splayed out her hair, then went back to brushing it as she stood back up.

"I am Brutus Dahlgren" he would turn to the midget and raise and eyebrow, the word demon touching on a bit of a nerve for the giant. "Platinum rank Adventurer, top tier asskicker and hero of the people." He would crack his neck and take a deep breath. "I'm down my canon still, but I should be able to carry plenty enough." With the gang gathered, and introductions seemingly taken care of, he would motion for them to get moving.

"From my understanding, we have a Slimodillio to deal with, and I'm curious to see how it goes with me down my usual piece. I've been kicking the snot out of things without it, but I still feel a little naked." Cracking his knuckles, he would don his spiked gauntlets and rack a slug in his shotgun. "But either way, I'll do my best to keep everyone in this hunting party as safe as possible."

They would depart, making their way to the hunting grounds. After all, this Croc wasn't gonna kill itself.

DEMON LORD YULIYA THE UNSTOPPABLE!​

The child nodded her head towards each of the people that were introduced, "Your names sound strong, Yuliya approves." She flicked one ear as she eyed each member of the party interchangeably at short intervals.

Obviously she would want to take the lead, taking it upon herself to try and puff out her chest to appear stronger and more leader-ly-like. "Yuliya's party will bathe in the blood of this... slimodile. Naturally, Yuliya will take the lead." Then without a moment of hesitation the girl turned around, her back facing towards the group as she once again began to set one foot in front of the other. Her feet taking her in the direction that the group would have started to head towards anyways.

This thing had to be easy to find and although Yuliya had been the one to harass Yu about this whole thing; she actually had no idea what a slimodile looked like, nor EXACTLY where they would be. But using her epic skills of deduction Yuliya could at least bring the party close enough to them.

With the whole party gathered, and each of them seeming eager to move on, they headed out, Yuliya taking the lead before anyone even had the chance to protest. Yu shot Brutus a 'I'm so sorry about this' look before following a pace or two behind the younger girl.

The raven haired man drew his revolver from it's holster in his coat, the quiet rasp of metal on leather filling the air as he followed Yuliya. Did she actually have any idea where they were going? Who knew. Yu also had no clue where they were going, so he supposed it didn't really matter in the long run. It wasn't until the group began to spot large stone with strange carvings resembling circuitry began to crop up that there was any certainty that there was any certainty.

Stepping up to one, Yu brushed his fingers over one of the carvings, eyebrows lifting ever so slightly as it pulsed with a momentary blue light at his touch. "Hey, Azykia," Yu said, turning towards the girl, "can you tell if these things are magical at all?"

No sooner had Yu asked the question did the crew hear a low growl rumble towards them. Turning to look in the direction of the sound, their eyes would settle upon their prey, only that it was many times larger than the quest brief had indicated. "Wow...think it's related to Godzilla?"

Gore Twister EX. After attacking this enemy, make a Save (Reflex - 70) to avoid getting a limb or two snapped up by the Slimodile, which will try to spin to twist your limbs out of their socket. If you fail, you can consider yourself narratively held by this enemy. Take 120 damage (before modifier) instead of 60 the next time you attack and the DC increases to 200 (it's just so much more difficult to hit them when they have taken ahold of you).

Not waiting for a response, or for the giant slimy lizard to get the first move in, Yu fired off a volley of bullets at the monster, emptying the chamber. The bloodcrafted bullets simply sank into the slime's body, appearing to have no affect on the creature as it lunged for Yu's shooting hand, massive jaws opening wide to swallow the man whole. Diving to the side, Yu only narrowly avoided the slimodile's snapping jaws, drawing his sword as he got back to his feet.

As it made its appearance, and Yugam made his remark, Azykia replied quietly. "They're a bit less magical than Godzilla..." Which was to say that she was facing an enemy she couldn't quite see, yet again. That wouldn't stop her, though. Before the beast had fully initiated, she managed to get her mist out as she had intended last time, wreathing the ooze and its surroundings in a morning fog. At least from her perspective. For the rest of her party, it was just clear water droplets that didn't hinder them one bit.

The blind girl breathed in, then exhaled as she pushed her hands forward. Light snaked forward through the water, creating an area debuff all over the monster, present on all their UIs.

"Yu! Everything's going to be fine!" She called out to this man, feeling a strange universal connection most adventurers had with one another after at least a quest or two. It was palpable, and she swore that for a few moments she could actually feel where he was through that bond alone.

"I've got you covered!" Brutus would shout charging forward. This thing was a little too big for the shotgun to be effective, so instead he would have to get a bit jazzy. He would zig and zag before stomping his feet, causing massive spires of earth to rise from the ground. One spire would shoot upwards, smashing into the creatures skull and pulling those massive sharp teeth away from Yu as it tried to sink it's teeth into him.

Another spire would form between the beast and Azykia, creating an impediment to attacking her. A third would form a barrier between the little demon lord and the massive croc. Leaving it's only target to be the giant. It would swing it's head at him and snap down on his leg as he tried to back away, clamping down hard.

"FUCK." Brutus howled in pain.
