Cycle 0 - Starfall

The moment you open your heavy eyes, pain shoots quickly through your body, coming up into your head as your senses come back to life. The excruciating headache and smell of burnt flesh quickly reactivate the party one by one.
Your mind was wandering heavily as if you ate too much weird mushrooms from the Tangleweaves, but at the very least you would notice that you're in the middle of an alley in a bustling city. A big one, in fact. Just by looking around, you could see the great city walls. Which city, you don't have the answer to that yet. All that was clear was that the night was clear and starry.
You recognize your companions among yourselves; one of the only things you could actually remember clearly, some more injured than others. Small cuts on your arms, and obvious magical wounds; It was easy to tell that something happened here—something dangerous—but you can't remember what, or why.
The alley was quiet when you woke up, but calling it a mess would be an understatement. The ground is strewn with debris—broken crates, shattered wood, and the wall around you has dark marks of an unknown offensive magic spell, the energy still faintly pulsing in the cracks it left behind.
For @Madison Freebird and @Magi Heart, there would be a strange hint of a deja vu. But your mind were still clouded and disoriented, that you couldn't exactly pinpoint what actually seemed amiss. Perhaps when you try to clear your head and look around...
For people with Astramancy, you would perceive that there was something different with your connection to the astral flow. The stars were familiar, yet different in some sense.

Mirror Blessings
Choose only one of the following passives:
Fiora Di Angelo
- Painbearer. Full Cover and Half Cover are now separate Free Actions and slot-free.
- Paindealer. Remove Rage and Overdrive cap.
Ronja Bubblyfoot
- Displacer. Carry is now slot-free. You can target any ally in your range and move them as a Bonus Action. The carry movement charge is based on your movement but is independent of each other. They get 5 mitigation and 10 damage per tile carried.
- Helping Presence. Double the healing and bonus value from Assist. Help BA also gives your allies 20 mitigation each.
Magi Heart
- Whiteheart. On every explosion, heal a target in your range 5 HP. All explosion range is now 16-20.
- Chaosheart. You can use Redo more than once per turn and pick the highest roll. Gain +50 bonus damage/buff/heal when Redo is used. Redo cost doesn’t increase.
Yugam
- Bloodborne. Heal is now Bonus action and slot-free along with Aggress. Divide the heal result by 4.
- Soulmate. Combo can now target two allies. You and your allies get the bonus if you attack the same target.
Luthien
- Alfather’s Gift. Range is now a free slot. You can sacrifice 2 movements for 1 range as an FA.
- Deadshot. Death Mark has infinite charge. Increase the damage bonus by 10 for every attack. Bonus is reset if the mark target changes.
Madison Freebird
- Soulcaller. Buff is now 8d20 and Power Buff is now 17d20. Explodes on 17-20.
- The Dead Speaks. Your Coordinate can target anyone on the map. If the coordinate target is in range, double the bonus for damage only.
Cycle 0 Logs
- Everyone takes 4d20 damage from ????.
Cycle 0 Rules
- No word limits, no minimum. Post comfortably. No one-liners if possible, though.
- No double posts. You may post twice if you want, but you may only have one mechanic post per cycle.
- Always include your chosen passive in the action section of your post.
- You may leave the action cards in your playsheet empty until a combat encounter. After that, it will be locked. Any action card used in this cycle is going to be locked in your sheet.
- There is no set time for the Cycle updates, but I am looking for a 5/6-day timeframe for updates to avoid maintenance.
- You can use the Communication Thread for rapid-fire dialogues or simple conversation.
- Nat 1 events are a thing here. It's just funny ok.
- This is a plot-based challenge. Doing IC actions/things that your character would normally do is encouraged. I reward roleplay more than optimization.
